0:21
by now you should have the impression
0:22
that the 300C is one of those cars with
0:25
a really big engine that isn't noisy
0:28
unless he want it to be and and also
0:30
that it can take a tight corner here and
0:32
there but what we're going to show you
0:33
with the next clip is just how amazing
0:35
the 300 C really is because we're going
0:37
to take the wheel spin it all the way
0:40
over to the left take a 90° turn in a
0:44
deserted parking lot just that you know
0:46
that we care about safety and just mash
0:48
the pedal down to the ground and let the
0:50
340 horsepower Hemi push the car
0:52
wherever it will and you'll notice that
0:54
it pushes the car exactly where we're
0:56
pointing it under Full Throttle and then
0:59
around to turn at fairly high
1:04
[Music]
1:21
speed hi my name is Dave and I'm going
1:23
to show you R to 300C but first we're
1:26
going to see how big the crunk is
1:28
[Music]
1:36
[Music]
1:44
so if you ever have to live out of your
1:45
car at least you know that you fit in
1:46
the
1:51
trunk it's even bigger if you fold the
1:53
rear seats
1:55
down so here we are in the 2008 Chrysler
1:58
300C
2:00
and the first thing that you might
2:01
notice is that there is a bit more
2:02
Chrome than before and as you can see as
2:05
we wave back and forth there are these
2:07
little concentric
2:09
circles on the
2:11
gauges and these circles give a rather
2:15
nice upscale feel and make the interior
2:19
seem a bit nicer than the previous 300C
2:22
which was
2:23
plain and a bit
2:25
sparten now if we go down here we turn
2:29
on on the lights and you'll notice that
2:31
those have a nice whitish Brown
2:34
backlight and here you see the
2:36
traditional well the new
2:38
traditional indow lighting but it only
2:42
lights up the outside of the Rings not
2:45
the
2:46
inside looking Beyond you see the center
2:49
console and again the clock has nice
2:51
silver ring around it the inevitable my
2:54
gig system with a 30 GB hard drive and
2:57
of course the keychain also has the
2:59
silver around
3:00
it silver trim everywhere in
3:04
fact and even up here this car has the
3:07
luxury package so it's got real wood and
3:09
underneath the real wood is real Chrome
3:12
or at least real plastic Chrome now this
3:14
particular car has this funny looking
3:16
key which as you can see has Panic
3:19
unlock lock a trunk opener a clicked
3:24
here twice to start and two empty PS
3:27
which we have no idea what they're for
3:28
but switches can be placed there so
3:31
maybe you'll be able to heat up your
3:32
seats remotely next year so we put the
3:35
key in you
3:37
notice it's not a real key you can take
3:40
out the real
3:41
Key by pulling this lever you can do it
3:45
if you have more than one hand
3:46
free and here is an actual real life key
3:51
that's in case of emergency you can
3:52
still get into your car
3:55
but how do you then start up your car
3:59
the answer is is that if you put it in
4:01
here there will be just enough charge
4:03
left for the car to recognize your key
4:07
and it kind of makes sense to not bother
4:08
having real metal keys for the ignition
4:10
because they've been using the radio
4:12
signals
4:13
anyway and here you see the rather nice
4:16
interior a real upgrade compared to the
4:19
2006 version and a nice decent size back
4:23
[Applause]
4:25
seat in some ways this more convenient
4:28
than the normal radio control old key
4:30
that you press a button on because you
4:31
have a place to hang your
4:35
[Music]
4:37
keys so let's run one the nice things
4:39
about the all-wheel drive is that it
4:42
lets you have much faster takeoff if you
4:44
have to turn the wheel so for example
4:46
right now we're going to make a right
4:47
hand turn and we're just going to lay
4:49
down some
4:50
[Music]
4:54
rubber that the car went exactly where
4:57
we pointed
4:58
it we had no under steer as we would
5:01
sometimes have from some other systems
5:05
and on the older truck type systems we
5:08
wouldn't have been able to make such a
5:09
tight
5:10
turn while in four-wheel drive mode and
5:13
that can actually get you in trouble I
5:15
remember once trying to do a quick
5:16
U-turn and the all-wheel drive engaged I
5:19
ended up backing up onto Route
5:21
208 here we go okay face point at the
5:24
speedometer zo ready
5:29
[Music]
5:39
it really does give you confidence when
5:40
you're
5:42
accelerating especially on a road that
5:44
might be a little bit wet or slippery to
5:45
know that not only does the all-wheel
5:47
drive keep all four tires working but
5:50
the stability
5:53
control will kick in if it's needed and
5:57
the stability control works better than
5:59
most in that it actually pays attention
6:01
to where you're pointing the steering
6:02
wheel as opposed to just trying to keep
6:04
you in a straight line now the cornering
6:06
is really pretty incredible in this car
6:08
it really does handle like a sports
6:11
car in terms of just keeping all our
6:14
tires on the road usually without having
6:16
to engage stability control so you can
6:19
take a 90° turn at 25 mph with
6:21
absolutely no problem and not having to
6:24
touch the
6:25
brake so let's just go Zoomies again
6:31
ready this floor it kicks down a little
6:34
bit and zooms
6:40
up the highway speed the car is pretty
6:43
quiet there's only a little bit of noise
6:45
from the road in the
6:47
wind and it's a diffused noise it
6:49
doesn't seem to be coming from anywhere
6:51
in
6:53
particular the ride is a little bit busy
6:55
even on this nicely paved Road that's
6:57
one of the sacrifices that you have to
6:59
make for the really good cornering here
7:01
we
7:04
go I have to make the squeeling noise
7:06
because the car won't do it so here
7:09
we're going at about 25 M hour and we
7:12
make our left hand
7:15
turn and we don't slow down for it we do
7:18
it
7:23
again the tire stone squeal and the
7:26
stability control does not activate it's
7:28
really pretty incredible
7:35
[Music]
7:46
okay and one of the nice
7:48
things is that you can very easily gain
7:51
30 mph on demand just by stomping down
7:55
the Gas Pedal which is something that I
7:56
can't say for every car that has good 0
7:58
to 60 times because it's one thing to go
8:02
from 0 to 60 and it's another thing to
8:05
just push down a pedal and Sun would be
8:08
going let's just say from 50 to
8:12
60 over here there's just one knob for
8:15
onof and volume you have to CL the
8:18
buttons to tune up and
8:20
down and again if you want to fiddle
8:23
with the Acoustics it's a matter of
8:26
going through several
8:28
screens likewise
8:30
going from FM to am you have to find the
8:34
tab and press the tab now let's take a
8:36
look at the rear seat video open this
8:41
up this
8:44
up and in just a moment you can see The
8:48
Incredibles at least you
8:50
could if was on the right
8:53
channel it's on
8:55
DVD let's press the mod button
9:04
what radio I
9:08
guess satellite
9:12
[Music]
9:13
TV so now let's take another quick look
9:16
through the interior of the 300C we're
9:18
playing the movie now in case you are
9:20
wondering and it's not really about
9:23
putting your sunglasses into the
9:24
convenient upper sunglass storage case
9:27
although that certainly is a convenient
9:28
thing to have have and a convenient
9:30
place to put sunglasses
9:33
