who makes the rules about pickups
0:10
anyway there's a new pickup that breaks
0:13
all the rules and it's from Dodge rules
0:16
like four-wheel anti-ock brakes are for
0:18
cars not pickups Dodge is the first and
0:22
only full-size pickup to offer four
0:24
wheeel antiac brakes
0:28
[Music]
0:30
it used to be that for serious torque
0:32
diesel was the only choice not with
0:36
Dodge not only did Dodge offer the
0:39
hardworking turbo diesel but there's
0:42
a full series of Magnum engines all the
0:44
way up to the new Magnum
0:49
[Music]
0:51
V10 and who says the trucks can't be
0:54
comfortable this new Dodge Ram has the
0:57
widest seating area of any full-size
0:59
pickup
1:01
and who said that airbags and pickups
1:03
don't go together Dodge puts a standard
1:06
driver side airbag in every pickup it
1:14
builds offers the most powerful line of
1:17
pickup engines in the industry beginning
1:19
with the Magnum V6 with more horsepower
1:22
than any other six-cylinder and a full
1:24
sizee pickup next you step up to Dodge's
1:27
best-in-class V8 the 300 8 and the 360
1:32
cubic in magnets if you're looking for
1:34
the most torque of any diesel pickup the
1:36
intercooled cumin turbo diesel is the
1:39
only answer and finally the awesome 8 L
1:43
Magnum V10 with a 488 cubic in
1:46
displacement and 300
1:48
horsepower and you can put that kind of
1:50
performance together with a heavy duty
1:52
5-speed manual or four-speed automatic
1:55
transmission standard rear wheel antiock
1:57
Brakes Plus available 4 four wheel
2:01
ABS there's a roof mounted stoplight and
2:04
high strength door beams for side impact
2:07
protection with the new Dodge Ram you're
2:10
in control with an unobstructed
2:12
commanding view of the road through the
2:13
extra- lar glass area and inside it's
2:17
big this Dodge Ram has the most interior
2:20
room of any full-size Cab in fact it's 4
2:24
in longer than its nearest competitor
2:26
6'4 210 lb 6 5
2:31
255 61 262 lb and you can ride in
2:35
Comfort on the available 40 2040 seat
2:38
with adjustable passenger and driver
2:40
seats that recline and have more seat
2:43
travel than Ford and
2:47
Chevy a couple of years ago when design
2:49
office first moved into the CTC complex
2:51
being among the first of the arrivals
2:53
here a lot of what you see behind me was
2:54
under construction and we soon realized
2:57
that we had a great opportunity to do
2:59
some research on on how people use their
3:00
vehicles how they use their pickup
3:02
trucks we had a whole lot of Tradesmen
3:03
out there and we asked a designer to go
3:06
out there with a Polaroid camera and
3:08
shoot just what kind of clutter did they
3:10
have inside their vehicle how where do
3:11
they put their coffee cups and so on
3:13
Dodge Ram is loaded with features
3:15
pickups aren't supposed to have like a
3:18
full complement of easyto read
3:20
instrumentation door handles controls
3:22
and switches that are easy to operate
3:25
the heating and air conditioning system
3:26
is quiet fast and uses a new environment
3:29
L friendly R 134a
3:32
refrigerant how many times have you
3:34
tried to jam cargo somewhere in the cab
3:37
anywhere and just ended up tossing it on
3:39
the seat or in the
3:41
[Music]
3:43
bed well this dodge has all the answers
3:46
because only Dodge offers a behind the
3:48
seat storage system with divided trays
3:51
interchangeable bins and cargo netting
3:53
it's a versatile storage area that also
3:56
allows you to lock valuables inside the
3:58
cab there's also a glove box door M
4:02
pockets and a retractable cup holder
4:04
sized for coffee cups and big enough for
4:07
the largest super siiz cup if there is a
4:09
rule that says a pickup is not an
4:12
office Dodge just broke it need a place
4:15
for your cellular phone how about a
4:18
laptop computer check out the industry's
4:20
only flip down business console it's a
4:23
complete convenience storage facility
4:26
there's even an auxiliary power outlet
4:29
but what good is turning your cab into
4:30
an office if it's too loud well Dodge
4:33
made sure you can conduct business in
4:35
here under the most annoying conditions
4:38
at a steady 55 or over a rough road the
4:41
new Dodge Ram is the quietest full-size
4:44
Cab in the
4:49
business thanks to the steeper rake
4:52
flush mounted adhesive bonded windshield
4:54
and triple sealed
4:57
doors that means you can actually hear
5:00
your phone ring when you're rolling down
5:01
the highway and speaking of the highway
5:04
it used to be that pickups Road like
5:06
truck but don't forget the rules have
5:11
changed when you drive the new Dodge Ram
5:13
pickup you won't believe the level of
5:15
rid and handling we've engineered the
5:16
suspension steering and seating with
5:19
almost car-like characteristics this new
5:21
Ram is tough with Dodge's all new
5:24
patented three-section frame design that
5:26
provides exceptional Rock Solid strength
5:29
with this suspension system that gives
5:30

5:33
rear and the only half ton pickup with
5:36
standard 16-in wheels and tires this Ram
5:39
pickup can really handle itself off-road
5:42
or Cruise the highway with a ride as
5:44
smooth as silk but it's also built to
5:47
work from the cargo box is a long
5:49
