0:04

0:09
then stay tuned because today I'm going to share 9 of the best sites like Upwork where

you can get freelance jobs fast. Hey guys, Dorian here with Millo.co where freelancers come to level up their business

Okay, Upwork. It's a powerful way to grow your freelancing. But that's not to say it doesn't have its own limitations
1:03
Plus, smart freelancers know they shouldn't have all their eggs in one basket when it
1:08
comes to getting new clients. So here are 9 sites you can explore as you branch out from Upwork
1:15
Number 1. First on the list is Freelancer.com. This site is probably the most similar to Upwork that you'll find
1:23
That's because just like Upwork, Freelancer.com connects a huge marketplace of clients with
1:28
freelancers in dozens of industries. Just like on Upwork, Freelancer.com clients post job listings and freelancers send proposals
1:36
and bids on projects that seem like a good match. What's great about Freelancer.com is you can also browser the kinds of job clients
1:44
post before you ever sign up as a freelancer. We'll link to all of these Upwork competitors in the description of this video so you can
1:52
click through and visit the ones you find most interesting. Number 2
1:57
Next on the list is Fiverr. Fiverr is one of the biggest freelance marketplaces in the entire world and is a great alternative
2:04
to Upwork. Fiverr, however, approaches how they connect freelancers with clients a bit differently
2:11
Instead of focusing on job postings made by clients, Fiverr focuses on letting freelancers
2:16
post gigs available for sale. From there, potential clients can visit the site and search for the service they need
2:23
From there, they find the perfect freelancer for their project and the work begins

2:33
Number 3. Up next we've got Solid Gigs. Solid Gigs also takes a unique approach to helping freelancers find their next client
2:42
or project. Instead of connecting you directly through the platform, Solid Gigs sends you tailored
2:48
alerts for freelance jobs found by their team of gig hunters. You tell their team what kinds of freelance jobs you want and they get to work sending
2:56
leads to your email inbox or your Solid Gigs dashboard. From there, you can sort, pitch, and follow up to get more freelance work
3:05
The best part of Solid Gigs is that they don't take a percentage of your client payments
3:09
or micromanage your client processes. Instead, you just pay a flat monthly fee to receive leads
3:16
Number 4. Up next, to find more freelance jobs, you're going to want to take advantage of the relatively
3:20
new LinkedIn Service Marketplace. LinkedIn has built their service marketplace as a direct competitor to sites like Upwork
3:28
and has the incredible huge network of professionals to make it successful
3:32
LinkedIn Marketplace reports that over 50% of people expect their next career move to
3:37
be entrepreneurial in nature, either starting a business or freelancing full-time. LinkedIn's goal is to better facilitate collaboration between freelancers and clients alike
3:48

3:57
Number 5. The next Upwork alternative to explore is People Per Hour
4:03
Similar to Upwork, People Per Hour offers a streamlined service connecting freelancers
4:09
to clients all over the world. You'll have to go through their application process and be accepted by their moderators
4:15
to use the site. But once you're approved, you can search and apply to hourly and project-based jobs
4:22
or be automatically matched on opportunities based on your profile skills. Number 6
4:28
In searching for freelance jobs, you'll also want to take a look at Guru
4:32
That's because Guru has what it seems like an infinite list of disciplines and niches
4:39
So even if you have an obscure favorite kind of work, chances are they have clients looking
4:43
for you. Without signing up, you can review the kinds of jobs Guru offers
4:49
And if you see something that's a fit for you, signing up only takes a few minutes
4:53
From there, you can send a quote and start winning new business
4:57
Number 7. Another site on the list is FreeUp. As a freelancer, getting into FreeUp is a bit more complicated than signing up for some
5:06
other Upwork competitors we've listed today. That's because FreeUp reviews each new freelancer's application when joining and
5:13
only allows a certain percentage to actually do work on the platform
5:17
While that might be frustrating, the upside is good for freelancers who do get accepted
5:22
Because they monitor the quality of work done on the platform and allow only highly qualified
5:26
freelancers in, they also attract high-paying clients looking for long-term freelance relationships
5:33
Number 8. Another site that limits their members but draws in high-quality clients because of it
5:39
is called TopToll. TopToll started as a site to connect clients with freelance developers, but it has quickly
5:45
become a high-quality freelance marketplace for freelancers in various industries. Because of their big-name clients like Shopify or Duolingo, TopToll's freelance application
5:56
is much more rigorous and only approves around 1-3% of those who attempt to join
6:02
Number 9. Finally, there's FlexJobs. While this Upwork competitor doesn't connect you directly with clients on their platform
6:10
they offer a unique approach to finding highly flexible, remote freelance leads
6:15
When searching for your next gig on FlexJobs, you can filter the available jobs by the number
6:20
of hours you want to work each week, whether you want to work locally or remotely, and
6:25
other unique identifiers such as skill level, pay level, or timeline. And that's it
6:30
9 of our favorite Upwork competitors. If you're ready to build your freelance business and grow outside of Upwork's marketplace
6:37
then take a minute to explore these options we've linked in the description below
