YouTube TV is out with a new experimental feature and it should reduce the broadcast TV delay when

you're watching on a TV set. With live TV streaming, all content is delayed by usually 15 to 30 seconds

But here's how to activate the new feature and reduce that delay. First, select a program from

YouTube TV and then click down on your remote while you're watching live TV. We're looking for

the More menu. That is the one with three dots and it's on the left of the screen. Select that

and then navigate to Broadcast Delay. This is new and then select Decrease for 48 hours. Now before

you make this change, a warning. YouTube TV says if you choose to decrease the broadcast delay

you may experience more playback interruptions. So, buffering. Keep this setting on default and

do nothing if you want to minimize that. So, why turn this feature on? I think it's best for people

who are watching live TV, particularly sports, but also some other content. And they also monitor the

live event on secondary devices where there could be spoilers from other people. I've had this feature

turned on for less than a day now. So far, no additional buffering, but I have noticed reduced

live latency. Around 12 to 13 seconds now. That's good. It was around 25 to 26 seconds

with that default setting. Now this feature is experimental and I'm sure it will change over time

but at least for now, you can only decrease the delay for 48 hours. That means after 48 hours
