0:13

um if you want everybody else to see what you're saying change it to all
0:23
panelists and attendees otherwise just Jimmy and I are seeing what you're saying which is fine but some of you
0:28
guys enjoy going back and forth chatting back and forth with each other yeah especially whenever somebody answers
0:35
another person's question yes absolutely yes yeah obviously post the questions in
0:40
the Q&A box so that's right yes if you're in Zoom please post in q& we don't want to miss
0:46
anything Eric busy welcome man hey
0:51
Eric I want to mute real quick and get set up on the Facebook side of things okay yeah go for it
1:09
okay should be all set Oliver from Mexico welcome Oliver hey MST group so this is going to
1:17
be off at 701 so let's go ahead and do this so guys this is a replans you I
1:23
know you probably obviously heard the term replans and uh some of you are probably already doing it but this is
1:29
just a a really hot topic and the people that are in the replans group um that
1:35
are actually putting this to work the people that are in the Legends group that are doing this uh these are folks that have a stable business that they
1:43
can essentially count on they're Jimmy's goingon to explain all this but this is from a Layman's point of view here you
1:49
walk into a store with the grocery list of items a shopping list of items you're not always looking for new clearance uh
1:57
you're not you know you're not driving all over the place uh trying to find inventory because you have a stable
2:04
supply of things that you just have to restock that's what replans does and the people who have been able to quit their
2:10
jobs like Jimmy um they have a a replan strategy in place now it would be much
2:17
harder if he was going around looking for clearance all the time to have that safety to feel like yeah I can quit my
2:23
job uh and because with clearance you guys know you're always rushing around looking around for brand new inventory
2:29
you get sold that's awesome but then you got to find more again with replans it's more stable it feels like a more like a
2:35
real business so that's what we're excited about this the success stories we're seeing in this group are awesome
2:40
and so uh Jim reached out and said hey let's uh let's do a replans webinar and
2:46
just uh kind of explain what it is to everybody and so Jimmy is the master at this I'll let him introduce himself but
2:53
guys we're excited to do this so thanks for everybody for being on yeah super excited to do this uh Jim also mentioned
2:58
there's a lot of new people too in MST that have probably seen uh you know people talk about replans that are kind
3:04
of just wondering what this is and how do they get started so um for those of you that have done replans for it's
3:10
almost been a year now it's been 11 months since the original course started for those of you that have done it it'll be a good refresher um it'll also I've
3:17
got a few extra examples um in here that you know I haven't shown in the past but
3:23
uh yeah for anybody that's new this in my opinion is it's the lowest hanging fruit uh it's the easiest uh way to get
3:30
started in Amazon uh it's not necessarily easy right it requires hard work but it's still the most simple way
3:37
to get started and get used to the platform and it also allows you to grow a scaled profitable business like so
3:44
many other people have in this community so excited to get in and I'll talk to
3:49
you a little bit about myself and yeah get going all right so that's me and my
3:55
beautiful wife Britney uh we have uh been together for for I believe it's been 11 years now so uh we just hit the
4:03
11e mark in April we've actually been married though since uh August of 2012
4:09
so it's been eight years since we've been married I know uh a lot of people are like they ask me if we got married
4:14
when I was 14 that's not the case you were 15 right exactly um but yeah I was
4:21
21 she was 20 so we've been together for uh for a while but uh yeah it's been awesome to grow up together and and
4:29
start this business and grow it together as well so um so our before doing replin
4:35
um you know I I had a prior job selling Commercial Insurance to businesses um
4:41
and Britney worked a little bit in logistics and did some you know serving restaurants on the side and it was
4:47
something that we both hated doing right we both hated having a job that we had to go to we both hated having to rely on
4:54
other people for our income and this recent situation with covid is a perfect
4:59
example as to why it can be more risky to rely on a job than to rely on
5:05
yourself as an entrepreneur and so you know working on a business in Amazon or
5:11
you know on a business that deals with selling on Amazon you're trying to find something that you can scale and
5:16
something that you can grow uh and the replans model is the perfect opportunity to get into Amazon and get started as
5:23
well as something that you really can grow in scale I mean we've had I've seen people that have taken this method over
5:28
300,000 a month obviously that seems huge we all started at zero um so if
5:35
you're looking to get out of a prior job or you're just trying to create some sort of an extra income stream is the
5:41
perfect way to do it and this is what we decided to do back in December 2015 and I'll run through some of our numbers and
5:47
the history of our Amazon business uh here in a little bit um so we obviously we run the 0 to
5:55
100K replans course in the Facebook group so if you've seen my name or you heard of this course or the Facebook
6:01
group that's where um you know we kind of come from and so yeah now Story by the numbers so we
6:08
started December 2015 very part-time uh we actually started right out the gate with Jim
6:13
cochrum coaching um and that was something that helped us to get uh some very quick wins and successes um but we
6:21
were just learning the ropes we were trying to put in you know maybe 5 10 hours a week if we could on the weekends
6:26
um and just something that we could grow together um in June of 2017 we were at
6:31
$88,500 in sales um and we were pretty much at that level for a while um just
6:37
because of the lack of time and we were constantly looking for clearance deals constantly looking for new ways to find
6:44
you know High Roi items that we could not replenish things that we could just find and sell for a high Roi um which is
6:51
fun you know it's like treasure hunting and that's something that I still love to do every once in a while but it wasn't something that we could count on
6:57
and so in July of 2017 so the next month we joined Amazon Legends with Ryan rer
7:04
and Danny stock um and that's where we first learned about the replan strategy and really that's when we started to
7:10
change our whole mindset of what our business should look like because we were just getting burned out you know we
7:15
needed something we could count on um and replans have been around since before July 2017 you know Danny was the
7:22
first one to really talk about it as far as I know for you know a year or two before that but um you know it's
7:28
something that has had a long stable U I guess consistent what's what's the right
7:35
word I'm looking for it's just been around for a long time right and a lot of people have had success from it
7:41
and it will continue to do that because of the strategies that we use to find products and sell them on Amazon after
7:47
that in August of 2017 excuse me almost doubled we went to $14,000 in sales um
7:54
in February of 2018 we went full-time and so Britney had been full-time for a little a
8:02
while I say fulltime job was doing this was working on our business it was still
8:07
a part-time Endeavor for her um up until the point when I decided to quit my insurance selling job and so in February
8:13
2018 I went full-time uh and in July of that year we got it up to
8:20
$39,000 um per month sales uh so that's actually High
8:26
employees we leased a warehouse to kind of start Outsourcing prep and ship um and then after that in August we
8:33
almost doubled we hit $73,000 and then in April of 2019 we
8:38
cracked $100,000 in in a month outside of Q4 for the first time so it took us
8:44
one and a half years from July 2017 to April 2019 to go from $8,000 to $100,000
8:49
per month now there was with a lot of learning and a lot of building things
8:55
and scaling this business in ways that we didn't know how to do it um and so
9:00
now I believe it could go quicker for those that can put in the work for those of you though that don't want a team
9:05
it's not necessary to hit $100,000 a month right so our goal here is to show you how you can get to $10,000 a month
9:12
just by yourself just doing replin and have that to be a stable income and steady income for you um and so it's
9:18
it's done this for a lot of people we've had tons of people go through the course and it's been consistently um you know
9:25
able to help people grow their business uh or start their business with
9:32
replans and so actually April 2020 update we hit 176 uh part of that was due to the covid situation you know
9:39
there's so much more shopping on Amazon so right now we average around 140 um just so you guys know kind of an update
9:45
of where we're at we have outsourced 90% of the work Britney and I don't shop or
9:50
prep and ship anymore so that's all part of the 0 to 100K replin course but for
9:56
those of you looking to get to 10,000 or you know just grow your business by that amount this will be very helpful for you
10:04
so what are replenishables or replans you hear I'm talked about all the time in my silent team uh you hear them
10:09
talked about pretty much anywhere if there's Amazon discussion going
10:15
on uh and so basically repl is it's anything it doesn't have to be a specific product category it's not
10:22
groceries it's not toothpaste it can be anything essentially that you are sling
10:27
consistently so it's replenishable to you as a seller uh we're not caring if
10:32
it's something that as a consumer they're buying over and over we just care that you're selling it over and
10:38
over and there's ways for us to make sure that that happens before we buy something so like I said you're bu it
10:45
over and over again and then examples uh we will go through throughout the presentation but some examples are
10:50
toilet paper pingpong balls paper towels backpacks Etc and so you know yeah toilet paper is something that consumers
10:57
buy over and over but ping pong Paws Maybe not many do but you might sell a hundred of those a month if you found a good
11:03
good listing right and so we'll talk about how to find those here in a minute so why replans why are we you know so
11:11
excited about this why have so many people been posting about it in the groups um the reason is because it gives
11:17
consistency to your business uh it's something that for those of you that got into Amazon and started doing Arbitrage
11:23
and you've been out doing clearance shopping or you're looking for the next you know hot toy or shoes or something
11:29
like that it gives consistency to your business because you're not constantly having to go out and find new products
11:35
uh you're able to build a list of things that you can go out and buy over and over again and really grow your your
11:42
business um predictably which is important if you're trying to grow it uh it's easier to Outsource uh with
11:49
future employees uh that's just the it's a huge um you know factor in why you
11:56
want to do replans because not only can you Outsource the prep and ship but they get used to those products they know
12:02
exactly how they need to prep and ship them every time there's there's not a hundred stickers uh you know glued to
12:07
the box of a product usually because you're buying these things at full price from the store you're not buying them
12:13
clearance uh and so it's easier to Outsource the prep and ship as well as the shopping uh if you're trying to
12:18
Outsource clearance shopping to somebody it's going to be very difficult to train them on exactly what to look for um and
12:25
exactly the nuances of that uh but if you've got a set list of replans that
12:32
you can go give to your an employee to pick up once a week um or twice a week or however often it is that's way easier
12:39
to give somebody to do it's essentially like they're just shopping off of a list for you so um it's a huge positive to
12:45
replenishable products consistency in prep and ship and then less turnover uh
12:50
so whenever you're doing clearance we've kind of talked about it you constantly have a grind of having to go out find more and more of those products um there
12:57
is less turnover in those products because you're consistently able to buy and sell them so you're not
13:04
constant to find new ones and it's more reliable it's kind of self-explanatory based off everything that we've talked
13:10
about the majority of our sales velocity went up during covid we talked about our
13:15
numbers and you know in April we hit 179 I think over a 30-day period our Max got to like
13:20
192 um so our sales velocity went up because we were dealing in replenishable products if we had been dealing with
13:27
clearance products or if we had been dealing with with you know things that we couldn't just go out and find over and over our business would have gone
13:33
down so replans are an excellent way to have a foundation to your business even
13:38
if you're doing private label or wholesale products if you're doing that and you can no longer get access to
13:44
those products because you can't get a supplier to send you a shipment anymore but you have a steady stream of products
13:51
you can go to a store and buy then that at least adds an extra stream of income to your Amazon business so you're more
13:57
stable if these types of things happen again hopefully they won't um but if they did or something comes up you have
14:04
a lot more opportunity to keep your business stable from that Jimmy let me jump in a lot of people are um they ask
14:10
about you know they I remember when we first presented this they were confused about what a replant is and I know you went over it guys it's literally
14:17
anything that sells over and over again it doesn't mean it's replenishable to like me as a consumer like for me a
14:23
replenishable item might be toilet paper potato chips Oreo cookie something that
14:29
I consume every sing I don't do the Oreo I do like Oreos but that's not something that my my wife won't let me do that all
14:35
the time but that's not so for me that would be something that I consume and that
14:41
would be a replen to me we're talking a replen to a seller so for example we we Jimmy and I use the example of a hammer
14:49
I'm so this if Jimmy is out buying hammers as replants I go and buy one and
14:54
then Jim goes and buy buys one and then Gary buys one I'm looking at people's
14:59
names on here Samara Jonathan buys one it doesn't mean that I'm constantly
15:05
buying hammers as a buyer it just means Jimmy is selling them multiple times in a month to different buyers he can count
15:11
on those hammers selling once a day five a day 10 a month three a month whatever
15:17
it is it just he he knows that every month he's going to sell a certain number of hammers not to the same person
15:24
but to all different types of people okay so that means it's a replen to him as a seller because he can count on it
15:31
selling over and over again so we're not talking about just groceries just toilet
15:36
paper T type items those could be replans and they are replans because they do sell over and over again but
15:42
guys we're literally talking about any type of product any category okay so a
15:48
lot of people get stuck there thinking oh it's got to I have to go to the grocery aisle you can but we're literally you can go right to the Home
15:55
Improvement section and find something that you may only buy once every 5 years but you have 250 million people
16:02
buying okay absolutely yeah no that's perfect and I actually because we've done this present you know a similar
16:08
presentation where we've talked about hammers what replenishables are I found a product that was perfect to put in here that that would fall under that
16:15
type of a category so I'm excited to actually give an example for that because there are tons of them out there
16:21
but I wanted to make sure that I included it in here because no matter how often we might say that you know a
16:27
replen is hammers a lot of people will still go and look at you know Oreos and
16:32
toilet paper right so there's a ton of other products out there and more and
16:37
more products are getting added um especially in each different category so um I think that replans will continue to
16:44
expand into bigger and bigger and broader categories so I'm excited for for that but tools needed to find replin
16:51
so how do we kind of what what do we need to be able to start finding these things um the first and foremost let me
16:58
get it here we go uh so the essentials so there are two Essentials to start on a replen journey so I try to keep this
17:04
as as cheap as possible in terms of your cost I don't want you going out there and spending hundreds of dollars on
17:10
software whenever you're starting out um and so the essentials are first and foremost the Amazon seller app and
17:16
whenever you have a seller account uh you can use the Amazon seller app for free um and you can look up products and
17:23
so that's what I use uh still to this day to search for products if I'm sourcing I still use the Amazon seller
17:29
app because it gives me a whole list of everything on Amazon's U catalog that
17:35
applies to the Search terms and we'll go through some examples here in a minute then the second one is keepa it's about
17:40
$17 a month it's actually uh you know I think a UK software so there's a
17:45
conversion factor there and I believe it comes out to around $17 a month that is necessary for replans um I've seen a lot
17:53
of people try to go without it and it rarely works so just pay for it it will more than pay for itself by you know one
18:01
of the first five products that you find um because you'll make sure that first off you're buying right um and second
18:07
that you're not losing a bunch of money buying the wrong things right that's more what I'm worried about is that You' go out without keepa and buy something
18:13
that was wrong um and so we're trying to prevent that and so some nice to have um
18:19
applications or software programs uh legendary sourcing or scoutify uh if you have inventory Labs scoutify comes for
18:27
or with it for free if if you're in Amazon Legends you get legendary sourcing for free so uh either one will
18:33
work perfectly we use them to create buy lists um so that we can help our prep and ship process later it's not the
18:40
focus of this webinar but um they are nice to have in the future and legendary sourcing gives you um some more features
18:47
for finding products um for the people that that use it they love it um and then also easier access to keepa so both
18:54
of these applications have a shortcut to get to keepa based off of the product that you're looking up um and so that's
19:01
something that's super nice to have to speed up your process while you're in the store and then the next one would be
19:06
oh yeah by Bist functionality which I mentioned and then lastly patients a lot of people go out there uh you know
19:12
they're used to uh going around and scanning barcodes for and I'll talk about that more but scanning barcodes
19:18
for clearance products um and then they they have become so used to it that they
19:24
don't like the slowness of finding replans but that slowness is what's going to allow you to create something
19:30
that's scalable and stable um throughout any of the volatility that we've had
19:35
recently and moving forward Jim we're getting some questions about keepa so I'll answer them real quick guys keepa
19:41
essentially um is you you may have been taught to look at bestseller rank BSR
19:47
and that's great but just realize that BSR is just a snapshot in time right now
19:53
so if I if Jimmy's out at Walmart and scanning something and he sees a BSR and I go there 20 30 minutes even you know
20:01
even just 20 or 30 minutes later go to several hours later or the day after it can be completely different so what
20:08
keepa does how it prevents you from making bad decisions is it shows you a
20:13
zoomed out view of that product's performance so you can look at a whole
20:19
year as long as it's been on Amazon as long as it's been tracked and you can see exactly is that you know if the
20:26
50,000 BSR is that it is right now did somebody just literally five minutes ago and buy that and they haven't that thing
20:33
hasn't sold in five days or five months and so realize that keepa is huge it
20:38
helps helps you make better decisions it helps you not to make mistakes uh because you can see a longer view of how
20:46
that product has performed absolutely no that's perfect um sometimes I skip over that stuff so
20:53
uh yeah that's that was perfect so people are asking keepa versus jungle Scout versus helium 10 jungle Scout and
20:59
helium 10 don't do the same thing that keepa does uh you have to have keepa for this if you're talking private label
21:06
then jungle Scout and helium 10 are really really good tools this is a m keepa is an absolute must for doing ret
21:13
Arbitrage with replans and online Arbitrage because it shows you that data that you're looking for absolutely yeah
21:21
that's perfect any other questions on that um let's see does keepa have does
21:26
keepa have data of other markets than us do you does it do UK you think it would
21:32
do UK If It's a UK tool yeah I think it does like Canada and stuff I'm pretty sure like whenever I've looked in other
21:37
markets it it shows that information I'm not 100% though I think it guys you just go to keepa.com
21:45
k.com and you can get get access to that yeah absolutely and you'll see too I
21:50
mean anybody that's uh trying to figure out replans if you look at jungle Scout one day for a product and it shows oh
21:58
the the sellers or the best seller rank is at 20,000 so it sells 100 times a month and then you go a couple days
22:04
later and it's at 100,000 and it sells five times a month well that that alone will just prove to you that it doesn't
22:10
work for what we're trying to do um which is replans like Ryan said If you're looking for private label and
22:16
Wholesale in some cases those other softwares can help but uh keep us what
22:21
you need for replans okay all right so we go all
22:27
right so how do we we find these things essentially first off first and foremost go slowly um a lot of people don't like
22:34
to hear this uh we've done in-person training events with people like just oneon-one training events and we have to
22:40
break that habit a lot of people don't like to go slowly they jump from one thing to the next you need to go slowly
22:46
and not just slowly uncomfortably slowly so if you feel a little
22:52
uncomfortable just go a little slower than that uh and it'll probably help you in the long run um because
22:59
I and I don't know if it's on this slide or a different slide but I will go in an
23:04
aisle and I can stay there for four hours finding products now that is
23:09
usually if I'm finding a lot of products if I'm not finding anything then maybe 30 minutes to an hour that's still a
23:15
long time to be in one aisle and really just the one half of the aisle because then you turn around and you got the
23:20
rest of things to go so just keep that in mind to go slowly um it will pay off in the long run and you'll be learning
23:27
throughout the whole process um do not scan upcs um that is not how
23:33
you find replans um very easily you can find replans doing it the problem is
23:39
you're going to have more competition you're have a lot of people that can easily find that product so uh the way
23:45
that we typically have described it in the past is whenever you're looking up something on Amazon to buy for yourself
23:52
like if you're the consumer you're not asking uh Amazon to look up UPC 012 3
23:59
987 right you're looking up aim toothpaste cinnamon okay that's that's
24:06
what you're looking up so that's what you need to look up as the seller of the product because if buyers aren't typing
24:11
in the UPC why would you type in the UPC or scan the UPC to to find the product
24:16
that's how we need to think about it is what are we what product are we looking for it's not the UPC itself we're
24:22
looking for keywords so type in everything that you see to the Amazon seller app or the
24:28
browser so um if you're doing Retail Arbitrage in the store uh then you're going to use the Amazon seller app if
24:34
you're doing online Arbitrage then most likely you'll use amazon.com um as your browser some
24:41
people that do online Arbitrage still use the seller app because they like how uh it can help you find more products
24:48
that are out of stock um whereas online it's a little bit more difficult to find outof stock products but um either way
24:55
you're basically trying to type in everything in that aisle um to find if it's got a profitable
25:01
listing on Amazon or not so the question that I like people to ask is how would you find this on
25:08
Amazon if you were trying to purchase it um we already went through the UPC example but basically it's it comes down
25:15
to Common Sense a lot of times it's like okay what is this product I could type in a bunch of fancy keywords and try to
25:21
keep my seller hat on but what is this product to me and I've got examples that's what you're trying to figure out
25:27
okay this is a toothpaste cinnamon or aim cinnamon toothpaste whatever that might be that is what you're going to
25:33
try to type in first and foremost so we're looking at brand name uh the type
25:39
of the product and then the size of the product which would be ounces or a count you know if it's a sixpack of something
25:45
um you know you're trying to type in those different pieces of information as your
25:50
search so you start Broad and then you get specific so uh for instance I've used aim toothpaste I would start with
25:57
aim toothpaste and see what pulls up and go to the more profitable looking listings from there
26:03
um if things are too broad or I'm not finding exactly what I want then I would go product by product and type aim
26:10
cinnamon toothpaste aim mint toothpaste whatever it might be and then you can even get as specific as the ounces or
26:16
size so aim cinnamon toothpaste 10 ounces okay so some there's an example a
26:23
toothpaste 6 o or Bounty paper towels um some of them have like a different types of paper towels so you could type that
26:30
in um you know like extra absorbent or something like that but you don't want to get too specific because then you're
26:36
going to start filtering out results um that might have been there otherwise if you start to get too specific and add in
26:42
keywords that you think could be in the listing it can actually hurt your results because you're going to be narrowing your search down you want to
26:49
keep it as broad as possible to see all of the listings that pull up from that so you want to add words after that
26:56
then you can start adding words like bundle set pack or variety so a lot of times um you know for instance let's go
27:03
to the aim toothpaste again you could type in AIM toothpaste bundle and then you're getting a bundle of toothpaste
27:09
and a toothbrush that comes with it um and maybe those two things are in the store that you're at and you can put
27:16
them together and sell it uh if you typed in AIM toothpaste uh variety maybe you've got two or three or four
27:23
different types of that toothpaste it's cinnamon mint winter fresh whatever those different flavors could be so
27:29
that's where you want to start adding those words a lot of times we don't even get this far like you're if you start
27:34
broad enough you start to hit a lot of the listings 99% of the listings and you
27:40
don't have to add in words like bundle set or variety or pack because you know that you've already gone through all of
27:47
those different things just from your broad keyword search so it does help to find hidden
27:53
listings and so uh I'll explain that um so what a hidden listing is is it's hidden to other sellers okay um if
28:01
you're scanning a UPC you're almost always going to bring up one product sometimes there'll be two or three that
28:07
somehow got tagged to that exact UPC but if you're scanning a UPC for aim toothpaste well it's just
28:14
going to pull up one product and there's hundreds of listings for aim toothpaste so these listings uh whenever you're
28:20
typing in keywords instead of the UPC these listings are considered hidden because they're hidden to other sellers
28:26
that are just searching by the UPC okay um so that's how it it helps you to
28:31
find those hidden listings more if you start adding the keywords of exactly what these products are and again just
28:37
keep it basic what is this product how would I find it if I were searching for it on Amazon and that'll get you uh 95%
28:45
of the way of of finding these products so uh already talked about the
28:51
hidden listings and then there's also uh in the Amazon seller app there's a feature where you can picture scan um
28:58
the item so you can just you know pick up the TU toothpaste and click the camera in the top right corner and it'll
29:03
picture scan for images that are similar in the Amazon catalog it's very helpful
29:09
we usually do that after we type in the products because it can find different listings it's not necessary but it's an
29:16
extra step if you just want to make sure there aren't any extra listings on that
29:21
product so some search examples okay um so on the left is I use an iPhone
29:28
so um the iPhone Amazon seller app I believe gives you um different options
29:34
whenever you start typing in a searchword the I don't believe Android does that but this gives you a good
29:40
example of what keywords a lot of people are typing in so you can see whenever I type in Sam's Choice which is uh a
29:47
Walmart brand it comes up with almond butter risoto organic bone broth Dill mustard Etc and that's really all you
29:55
got to type in if you clicked Sam's Choice Al Alm butter you can see on the right that picture shows a bunch of
30:01
different almond butter listings you can see the pictures are different you've got an orange or red color a yellow color and a blue color so we want to
30:08
keep it as broad as we can because you're going to find all the different listings um starting from that point uh
30:15
and so that's why we like to keep it broad if you were to type in Sam's Choice uh creamy almond butter vanilla
30:22
the top one on that search result and the bottom one won't come up it'll just be that middle result okay um so that's
30:30
why we want to try to start broad with Sam's choice and the product type Sam's Choice almond butter and then if you
30:36
have to get specific with you know slow roasted or vanilla um or just creamy um
30:43
you know that's where you start adding things after you've already done your broad search Okay um and then also you
30:48
can see over there if I'm typing in because I have an iPhone again I don't know if the Android app has this yet or
30:54
not they didn't for the longest time because I'm on iPhone if I'm in Sam's Choice well almond butter is the first
31:00
thing to come up but what about risotto maybe I should go look at the Sam's Choice risotto in the store that I'm at
31:06
or the Sam's Choice mustard in the store that I'm at um because you can use that as clues for other things to go
31:13
search so Kea the next thing that you want to do is to check Kea we've already
31:19
talked about the importance and you'll see even further uh I've got a bunch or four different examples I believe you'll
31:24
see even further why that's important so you're going to be looking and again this will be more uh explained in the
31:30
next slides looking for dips in the green sales rank line so there are three different things mainly that we're
31:36
looking for on a keepa chart and uh there's a green sales rank you want to
31:41
make sure that that sales rank is dropping um consistently and again I'll show you a picture here in a minute uh
31:48
you're going to check for the buy box price to be consistent you want to see that the pink dots or it's now a pink
31:54
line they changed uh a month or two ago you want to make sure that price is consistent and not going up and down if
31:59
it's going up and down then it's you can't trust that it will sell at a profitable price so you have to make
32:05
sure that you aren't buying something that is extremely volatile and then um it's also
32:12
easier to ensure success for a long-term replan if you see that it's been at the same price for or almost the same price
32:18
for a year then you know it'll probably stick around for a while and then you want to check the
32:23
seller count box which is the bottom box it's a purple line uh you want to make sure that sellers are consistently
32:29
coming on and falling off and that they aren't just uh going straight up into the right and I have examples for for
32:35
that here in a second so so the first product example now Ryan this is the only example that was on the original
32:43
presentation when we launched the course and at the time I remember that you can see the price went
32:50
up uh from a year ago and at the time there were nine reviews on this product there's 49 reviews so this thing would
32:57
have been an awesome Replay for anybody that could have gotten it profitably back then because the price has gone up
33:03
but so let's look at the keepa chart whenever I was talking about that green sales rank uh line that's in this top
33:10
box okay so you can see this has a bunch of activity it's going up and down a lot and whenever the the sales rank is going
33:15
up and then it drops that's at least one sale has happened sometimes it's two or three at a time but at least one sale
33:22
has happened so you can count on the fact that that is going to be a consistent seller because it's going up
33:28
and down a lot okay now the second thing we look at is those pink dots and now
33:34
like I said it's a pink line uh for whatever reason they changed it I'm not sure why but they did either way we're
33:40
looking at what has the price done over the last three months to a year um you
33:46
can see that over the last year it's generally trended up so it's about five dollar higher than it was last year
33:52
which is awesome there are times where it goes up and then drops back down um but but it has stayed above that $10
33:59
price point very consistently um which is good so if at $10 you're breaking
34:05
even then I would buy this product because I know that at worst it drops to
34:11
point it was a year ago and I break even to get my money back but at best it'll sell probably around 12250 to13 based
34:18
off of this keepa chart okay and then the last thing we look at you can kind of skip the middle one the middle one's
34:24
almost uh it's the sub sales ranks like the sub categories for this main chart
34:30
so I don't really look at it too often um because it looks very similar to the top one but the last thing you want to
34:36
look at is this purple line box at the bottom it's the third one uh on the bottom and that's the seller count and
34:42
that includes Merchant fulfilled Sellers and FBA sellers um and so you know it
34:47
can be misleading sometimes but for the most part it's very helpful and you being able to see well what has this
34:53
product been doing um and what's kind of the trend that I can expect you can see
34:59
in this example it's going up and down which means sellers are coming on and then they're dropping off most likely
35:04
because they're selling out of products um and so we try to look at this because
35:09
we care about the trend if this purple line was just going straight up into the right and new sellers were coming on
35:15
every day but not selling out well then you know that the price could eventually drop because more people are going to
35:21
come onto the product and it's not selling enough to keep up with the supply so the price is going to have to
35:27
drop drop um because people start to get scared and they want to get out of that uh that product they just want to get
35:33
rid of it so if you're seeing something where the the bottom line is going up and down that means it's selling so much
35:39
that people can't stay in stock which is good for you um because you want to make sure that it it's selling consistently
35:46
um so that you'll have a profitable product so since this is actually from Dollar Tree I believe yeah it's Green Brier um since this is from Dollar Tree
35:53
it's $4 for this I believe this four jar set unless these two come together I'm not 100% sure I actually don't sell this
35:59
product but um if it was $4 you'd make 526 at this price point if were to drop
36:05
down um you know $2.50 to its average price point where it was the majority of
36:10
the year you know you'd still make a really good 50 to 60% Roi there um so
36:17
next one all right this is also Green Brier um I did two Green Brier examples and then um I went away from that brand
36:23
but this is again from Dollar Tree so this dog nail clippers cost so this is a small profit um because it's selling at
36:33
$629 um I say 29 cents because the FBA price is there it's showing the low price which is the lowest Merchant
36:40
fulfilled but you'd make about .77 uh on this product there's 177% Roi
36:46
um and if you're selling 10 of them a month that's pretty good but let's take a look at the keepa chart because um it
36:52
passes this test for RI proability Etc so then we're going to check the keep chart now you can see for
36:59
a while here for whatever reason um in mid April through May um and this is a
37:06
three-month chart so we're looking at the last three months it stopped selling I'm not 100% sure why other than there
37:11
was no buy box price at this point so it probably went up to a really high price
37:17
and didn't sell during that time now you can see that it was selling at about $5
37:22
fairly regularly back in April you can see all the drops on that green chart and so at $5 is where I'd want to make
37:29
sure that I could at least break even at the worst obviously you want to be profitable so we're you know if you're
37:34
newer I would try to make profit at the worst case scenario but this is still something that we need to know what has
37:41
it been at the lowest point over the last few months to a year and um you can
37:46
see now it's selling for more money and that it's consistently dropping on the sales rank chart so it's something that
37:52
sells regularly not a ton it's a little slower um but the price uh because it's
37:58
such a low dollar amount for profit can actually be a little bit uh you know you have to be more careful because if the
38:04
price were to drop A50 there goes all your profit um but it's still something to consider this one I actually would
38:11
not test um partially because it used to sell at $5 and so we'd break even at
38:17
that point but then the next reason is because this seller count is going straight up into the right which means
38:22
that more and more sellers are jumping on this listing and they aren't out um so we
38:28
kind of explained that already but here's an example of of a chart that looks like this and so this is telling
38:33
me that this is going to probably keep going up and the price will start to drop back to the price it was at you
38:39
know a few months ago so I would avoid this product for that
38:45
reason okay so Archer Farms uh dark chocolate espresso trail mix two pack so
38:50
this is very typical of a listing that we'll sell it's a two- pack you saw the first one was a four-pack um and then
38:56
the middle one was just a single nail clipper uh but this two pack uh this is from Target it's an Archer Farms product
39:02
I have no idea how much this cost um but I wanted to show you this as an example I would assume it probably costs about
39:09
five bucks Maybe I'm Wrong um but that would be my guess and a lot of times Target runs sales and stuff but uh for
39:16
replans you don't necessarily count on the sales but U like the discounts so uh
39:21
let's look at the keeper chart if this is profitable if it does cost five bucks a bag that would give you a $5 Prof
39:27
profit and it would cost you $10 so it's 50% Roi um and so we're looking at the
39:33
green sales rank line okay so first and foremost this is selling really well you can see it's going up and down very
39:39
regularly very consistently the wrong way very consistently now the second
39:44
thing we look at so it passes the sales test the second we look at is the pink dots or
39:50
the pink line for the buy box you can see for a while the price was dropping down to about $15 and then for whatever
39:56
reason it's gone back up assume that's because of lack of Supply because of covid situation so what I would be
40:03
looking at here is let's say worst case this product dropped back down to um
40:09
around 1617 would I make money there or not you want to know that if you're new um
40:15
because you don't want to send in products that end up dropping and you lose money um but this is something that
40:21
is fairly consistent in sales so you know it will at least sell for you you're not taking risks as to whether or
40:27
not not this thing will sell because you know it does and then you can also see at the bottom chart it's gone at the
40:33
time when the price dropped the sellers were going up and then as the sellers
40:38
sold out the price went back up and you can see the correlation between the two charts very well in this chart um so
40:46
here you can see that the sellers are kind of out of stock based off of you know six months ago s months ago um so
40:53
this would be something I'd probably test if you know I could uh break even at this point um at the low point back
41:00
in January if that makes sense so and then my last example uh is a Craftsman uh impact
41:08
wrench and so this product uh would be I again I don't know how much this costs
41:15
but this is something that there's only four FBA sellers on it um it's got a lot
41:20
of reviews which means it's selling well and so we want to take a look at uh the
41:25
keepa chart and on keepa you can see that the green sales rank line is dropping a lot so it's selling very
41:32
regularly uh selling a ton actually you can see that the buy box price is very
41:37
consistent if you're looking at it from a trend perspective it stays very consistent I don't care as much about
41:43
this little dip here um back in September because it it's more of an anomaly and if you actually look down at
41:49
the sellers it's because the seller count shot straight up um so again it correlates very well um so yeah this
41:56
price stays very consistent now you have to make sure because this price uh here
42:01
is at 56.98 you have to make sure that back at this price where it mainly stayed at at about
42:08
$46 you have to make sure that's where you can make some money at you don't want to expect to sell it at 56.98 and
42:14
then it drops back to its normal price kind of like it did here so it went up to 56.98 then sold out and or got
42:21
sellers on it um and started selling at $47 again then jumped straight back up
42:26
but uh you want to make sure it's profitable here if it is then you want to also look at the seller count uh the
42:32
sellers have gone come on and come off because they've sold out um but they've stayed fairly consistent throughout the
42:39
whole uh the whole last year that we've been looking at this so I would definitely test this if it's profitable
42:46
at this uh Middle Point okay all right so first $110,000 in
42:53
replen sales um to get to this point you need to have the right mindset like I
42:58
said earlier you need to go slow uh you need to understand that you will be learning and that you'll find a lot of
43:04
things that don't work a lot of things that aren't replenishable products um while you're out there looking for
43:09
products you'll find things that are like this is not good for me to sell so but while you're doing that you're
43:14
learning products that aren't good you're learning products that are good and you're really starting to figure out
43:19
how to do this as I mean whenever Britney and I first started repins and selling them um you know we we went out
43:26
we learned a lot and it didn't go very fast we had to go slow but you know as you get more proficient at it and get
43:33
better at it you'll continue to kind of get a sense for what a replin product looks like and and uh definitely how to
43:39
find them uh if you've only got 30 minutes or an hour so it's hugely important the next thing is work ethic
43:45
it's not it's not easy in terms of lack of work uh you know to do this you need
43:51
to put in the work to make this work uh for you so uh and then cash flow at this
43:56
point if you're at zero and you're trying to start your first $10,000 in sales you want to go for a higher profit
44:03
and higher Roi replans here because you're you're wanting to make sure that whatever money you put into this will
44:09
multiply faster um so take more time look for higher Roi products um and also
44:16
faster moving inventory if it's something that sells twice a month or once every 60 days you know you don't
44:22
want to test that at this point because it's going to be something that moves slowly uh and you need your money back
44:28
so that you can reinvest it into your business so look for faster moving inventory with higher profit in
44:34
Roi um you need to learn keepa during this time so while you're out there sourcing you'll be learning a lot about
44:40
Kea and then uh learning how to find replans at this stage and then lastly adding replans that you know in the
44:47
course uh and you know a lot of times I'll just discuss 30 replans in 30 days
44:52
um if you just have that mindset of I need to find my first 30 replans uh you can can do that by finding one a day you
44:59
can do that by finding you know 15 and two days if you only have two days in a month just go out there for a long time
45:05
or you can do it by finding eight um eight a week or something like that so uh just have that mindset of trying to
45:11
find at least one a day while you're starting out uh in replans so our averages just so you know
45:17
from a numbers perspective and these still hold true our average selling price is around $15 um and that's the
45:24
sales price of that product so they aren't 30 40 $50 products they aren't five or $10 products now we do have some
45:31
that meet each of those points but this is the average selling price um we
45:37
average about 10 sales per month per replan I actually looked today our most selling replan over the last 30 days was
45:43
like 477 um units and our you know obviously
45:48
we have some that sell one once or twice a month so we average about 10 sales per month per per
45:53
replan um yep went over that and then our current Roi average so across our
46:00
whole business is around 70% so if we're putting in $10 on a product we going to
46:05
average making $7 on that product of profit um whenever uh we started our
46:11
business so if you're at zero or you know you have less cash flow to work with then our minimum Roi was 40% and
46:18
our average was well over 100% on replenishable products um and until we started Outsourcing our business and
46:25
getting employees our average state paid over 100% for the longest time so um make sure to you know shoot shoot high
46:32
and if you have to have a minimum of 100% Roi then go for it it might take you a little bit longer to find some
46:37
products but uh it'll be well worth it as your business grows um you know just depends again on where you're at with
46:44
your Capital so $10,000 math how do we get here well at the 15 thou or $15 average
46:51
selling price um to hit $10,000 in sales that's 667 sales per month that sounds
46:57
like a ton right and I know that can sound like a lot and can be overwhelming but let's break it down a little further
47:04
uh if we average 10 sales per month per replen okay so it's 667 sales total
47:10
divided by 10 per replen that's 67 replans on average to hit $10,000 uh in the month of or for sales
47:18
so to find two to or 67 replans it takes about two to three months if you have the capital and you're finding at
47:25
minimum 30 cleans per month that sell with that 10 per month velocity okay so
47:30
I know there's a lot of numbers there essentially what it boils down to is try to find 30 replans in 30 days do that
47:37
for two and a half months and that amount of replans should uh you know if you hit these same numbers that I've
47:43
given you for averages they should hit $10,000 per month in sales um if you
47:49
have more capital or more time then try to find 60 in in 30 days you don't have to find one a day you can find two or
47:55
three or four a day if you want um you know it's it's up to you and then your business will grow exponentially
48:00
from there all right so I want to show you okay if you hit $10,000 in sales per
48:06
month our average profit when we started uh after everything all of our expenses
48:12
with 30 to 35% okay if you just profited 15% which is half of what we did when we
48:18
started that's $1,500 in profit per month that's that's incredible um
48:23
especially for something as a side hustle um in this you know if you're just doing it as a side income uh if you
48:29
profit 25% that's $2,500 per month and if you hit the 35% that's obviously
48:34
$3,500 per month um everybody's numbers are going to be different but still that's pretty incredible um that in two
48:40
and a half three months you can hit that much in profit if uh you know you put in the work for that um I think that's
48:47
awesome and then obviously if you hit 20,000 in sales you're looking at 33,000 to $7,000 in profit depending on what
48:53
you're looking at or what your profit margin is you know if you're at 20,000 you're probably hitting about the 25%
49:00
profit margin unless you've outsourced to more people and then obviously that'll cut into your profit but uh
49:06
Britney and I did it without any employees uh we got up to 22 or 27,000
49:12
something like that we did it without any employees so you can do that and I know people that make it to 40,000 without employees so it just depends on
49:19
how much time and capital you have at that point so focus on mindset and effort so finding replans uh will get
49:25
you here and then leading versus lagging goals um I'm going to hit on this very briefly this can this has been its own
49:31
Topic in the past actually um in the replin group uh but what you want to focus on is not $20,000 in sales you or
49:39
$110,000 in sales that's a lagging goal that is a result of the effort you're putting in okay it lags behind the
49:46
effort that you put in what you want to focus on is the leading goals so those leading goals are finding replans if you
49:52
find replans that that meet the uh criteria on keepa and your own profitability
49:59
criteria if you're finding replans then the sales results will come from that um
50:04
so focus on that leading goal of okay even if you want 67 replans or 70
50:09
replans you got to focus on number one then number two you gotta focus on those goals over just the sales number okay so
50:18
just keep that in mind I think that pretty much covers everything that I wanted to go through oh I guess here
50:24
yeah reflin potential so anybody that's thinking bigger of what you can do with replans private label ideas can come
50:30
from this we have 15 products a lot of them have come from replans we were selling that ended up we were like well
50:36
we could sell this you know we could make find a supplier for this and follow Ryan's proven private label course and
50:42
and do that method wholesale opportunities uh so we've got 10
50:47
products that all sell over a 100 units in 30 days over the last 30 days and
50:53
five or six of those products are all from exclusive wholesale opportunities
50:58
we got from replans so uh there's huge opportunity there Distributors you can order in bulk there is a student in our
51:05
course um that I just did an interview with that's doing over 300,000 a month in replans doing this model they find a
51:12
replen they test it they find the distributor and then they buy it in bulk
51:17
um so that's a huge opportunity uh and then bundle ideas obviously you'll get a
51:22
lot of bundle ideas because you'll be looking at them quite often whenever you're finding repl so that's the bigger
51:28
picture what you can do after you really get into replants so if you want to learn more
51:33
we've got the 0 to 100K replans course uh it's on sale right now 90% off it's $29 so proven Amazon course.com
51:42
replans um there is a Facebook group for continuing training it's only $9 a month
51:47
uh I do at least one webinar uh a month in there but I'm in there almost every day answering questions we have a bunch
51:53
of people I think it's almost 1,00 people now in that group or so a lot of people are very experienced since it's
52:00
been a year and a lot of people are very willing to help um it is free for 30 days if you get the course so um you
52:06
know it's we at least want you to experience it first before you have to pay for it but um yeah that's where you
52:12
can learn more if you want more in-depth training on it so Stu Jimmy got to because I've done this so many times
52:18
with you now I I know a lot of these answers let me real quick so we're going to have some pack students I know that
52:24
are ask they're going to ask about how they they get into just the Facebook group yeah um let me share my screen
52:31
real quick go for it yeah so if you have pack don't you don't have to buy it it's in pack but if
52:37
you want to if you're in the if you're a member of The Proven Amazon course but you want to get into the Facebook group there is a charge for that let me show
52:44
you where to do that just to just for that $9 a month deal yeah share my
52:49
screen see okay so if you're this is the back
52:56
end end of the the learning portal just go to the ra replenish course and it's
53:01
the last module you click that um it brings you to this if you click this it brings you to the page where you can add
53:07
it to cart it's nine bucks a month you can try it out if you decide to to jump out no problem you're uh not signing a
53:15
like a forever commitment or anything but just go to the back end of the learning the SSM learning. silent sales
53:22
machine.com go to the re ra replenish course and it's the last module can get in
53:28
there okay let's see here so Dan what is the Facebook group
53:34
include support support Community uh ongoing training from Jimmy is the main
53:41
thing yeah and there's uh some extra files and things that I've put in there over the last year that uh you know are
53:46
kind of bonuses for being in the group but you know if you get in there free for 30 days you can you know access that
53:52
too so right all right so guys I'm so the ones I answered I was was able to answer but then uh so we got some
53:58
questions here Anonymous nice numbers but margin this was early on when you were selling your numbers where are you
54:05
at right now with the approximate to profit yeah so well uh again I'll just
54:11
explain whenever we were brand new or we it was just me and Britney we were at about 30 to 35% profit margin regularly
54:18
um as we've hired employees we have 12 employees now and we've got a VA or two
54:24
um and so our profit margin averages 14 to 16% um per month so uh that's where
54:30
we're at after all expenses um which I'm extremely happy with okay Keith in the group already is
54:38
in the mod in the mid middle of the 30 refunds in 30 days module should I move forward on the lessons before I have my
54:44
30 replans or wait until I have the 30 replans to go forward um you know it's
54:51
kind of up to you uh I can't remember exactly where that module is in the course if the next one is 10 to 40,000
54:58
if that's the next module um then I would probably try to find 30 replans first um but if the next one is another
55:05
sourcing webinar then I would go to the next one and you know maybe you'll learn some extra things to help you find more
55:11
products do you know if coaching students get the replans group for free I don't know about the group I know the
55:17
obviously the the course but I think they could probably email support at silent sales machine.com and find out I
55:23
don't remember Tim's asking about been trying to find replans by what you just said I'm getting a lot of quote
55:29
restricted why do I get so much restricted products yeah so as a new seller uh and it also depends if you
55:35
have a professional account which is an FBA account or a merchant fulfilled account but as a new seller there's going to be more restrictions um you
55:43
know you can what you can do is focus on the categories that you're not restricted in
55:48
so home kitchen um you know I believe Outdoors like lawn and garden usually
55:54
aren't restricted there's a bunch of products out there arts and crafts I don't believe are restricted there's a bunch of different categories that you
56:00
can Source in now you might also be running into brand restrictions which you know that's just something that's going to happen if you're running into
56:06
like a hindes product or something that could be restricted across the board for everybody so it just takes time as you
56:12
start to find products and you send them in and your account gets more traction you get reviews and sales then Amazon
56:18
will start to open things up for you and you can request to be ungated in those
56:24
products most of you at replay individual items or bundles or sets about 65% of our repins are multi
56:32
packs bundles sets the rest are single units I believe about that that's what
56:37
it was five or six months ago so I don't think it's changed much all right do you use information
56:44
from the statistic box in Kea uh we do sometimes yeah I mean and I go over that a little bit in the course uh but yeah
56:50
so the statistics box really the only thing I look at is uh the sales rank I
56:56
look at the drops just to see what that's done um you know just because it's an extra piece of data that I can
57:02
see okay well it drops 20 times a month on average so that's at least 20 sales so I'm going to buy Six of these things
57:10
uh to send into Amazon and make sure they sell profitably Peter's asking in Facebook
57:15
group um when searching and finding something will you pass on it if there are over a certain number of FBA sellers
57:21
already on it I don't look at the number of FBA sellers uh we kind of talked in the webinar about the trend so if the
57:28
trend of sellers is going up and to the right then I'll pass on it but if it's got 100 sellers on it and it used to
57:33
have 500 sellers on it I'd send it in because that means a lot of sellers are selling out and they'll probably
57:39
continue to sell out um so you know that's an extreme example but uh for the
57:44
most part we just look at the trend
57:50
okay do FBA sellers get priority on the buy box yes usually usually yeah I know
57:56
things were weird a little during Co with the merch fulfilled right yeah no usually they they do um you know they've
58:03
started to open up merch and fulfilled buy box a little bit but uh it's still
58:08
much more heavily weighted FBA one is asking with the recent changes for to
58:13
Amazon showing sales rank for variations of the same product how do we navigate this info in keepa when sourcing you did
58:20
a video on that I did I did a video on that in the Facebook group um so that's a little bit more in depth eventally uh
58:27
what I said is look at review count if you can um so if you're doing online
58:34
Arbitrage you can take a look at like if you have a REV seller software program
58:39
or um what's the Legends one I always forget the name there's a legendary one that's free if you're in Legends that's
58:46
basically legendary analysis yeah uh I think so that might be it toolkit yeah legendary toolkit that's it if you've
58:52
got legendary toolkit or rev seller then uh you can use that look at the variations and see if there's been
58:57
reviews on that product um that's the gist of it other than that you can look at seller count if the seller count uh
59:04
that hasn't changed I don't believe that they are connected so the seller count is still separate per variation so if
59:10
the sellers are going up and down then that's a good sign if the sellers are going up then that's a bad
59:16
sign okay um what do a sales what is the green line a sales rank that has a few
59:22
Peaks and valleys but then for the past three weeks that Flatline towards the bottom of the sales rank does that mean
59:28
that the item is selling so fast is not changing that was probably a variation
59:33
so it probably so if you look at the listing um it most likely has one or two other variations so it could have a one
59:39
pack a two pack a four-pack of that same product and so that's what happened that was what the last question was referring
59:46
to Amazon made some change that uh you know kind of throws off the keeper
59:51
charts a little bit um for products in the grocery category um and I believe
59:57
it's only in the grocery category there might be other ones but um yeah so if you're looking at that product it went
1:00:02
from a normal sales rank line to it joined with the parent as and in that
1:00:09
case it's the most popular product so it will be deceiving so I would look at the old sales rank history you know for the
1:00:16
past three to six months um or look at the review count if you can um or look
1:00:21
at the seller count if you can okay Laura's asking do you buy
1:00:27
mostly retail stores or through wholesalers we buy mostly through retail stores um however our best products are
1:00:34
through uh wholesalers that we found actually not wholesalers Brands this so
1:00:40
direct to the manufacturer that we found because they were replans before that we couldn't keep in stock or that became uh
1:00:46
you know out of stock at the stores we were buying them at
1:00:54
okay uh is asking does selling replans work or is it profitable for selling outside the US oh yeah there's tons of
1:01:01
international sellers in our group that have done really well with it so yeah it works it's it's the same Concepts right
1:01:07
you're looking for key you know what the product is on whatever platform you're you're selling on and you can look at
1:01:13
keepa and the majority of those platforms I would double check depending on which platform but you can look at
1:01:18
keepa usually to help you make that decision okay Stephen's asking do you know in in pack the replans course talks
1:01:24
about store brand list where in pack is this list are you sure that is in the Facebook group okay so since we did that
1:01:31
live um it's all through the Facebook group but yeah if you aren't in the Facebook group you can join for free get
1:01:37
the list you know and use it and stay for 30 days yep okay um okay if buying from
1:01:47
Walmart like outside the US do you know if you have to have a Us credit card do they accept International credit cards
1:01:52
or do you know store I know people do this from outside the US so if you're buying from walmart.com if
1:01:59
you live outside the US do you have essentially do you have to have a a Us credit card or do you know folks that
1:02:04
are I'm not sure of that um I'm I heard somebody say something that I think you
1:02:11
might but you can get a Us credit card I mean you could open your business here
1:02:18
or use a prep Center here or something I think you could probably post that question my silent team and get a bunch
1:02:23
of good answers um from people that no for sure okay all right do you look for a
1:02:31
different Roi for a higher price item that requires a higher investment for or
1:02:36
versus a lower price item let me think about that um not
1:02:42
necessarily I mean I'll be more willing to go to a lower Roi if it's a more expensive product because you know if
1:02:49
let's say I paid $50 and I can make 15 um well that's you
1:02:56
know 30% Roi but uh it's $15 so I have more room if the price does drop so yeah
1:03:02
I mean I'd be more willing to drop the ROI if it made sense based off the keeper chart how much of your replans is
1:03:11
food uh 35% okay right how do we get tax exempt
1:03:19
on purchases and retail stores uh that's going to vary by state some states are already tax exempt P
1:03:26
based off the products but most of the time you just need your retail sales license and uh you can use that to be a
1:03:32
tax exempt um entity
1:03:37
okay I'm missing Britney with all she was firing away all the question coming in both places yeah sorry she's not here
1:03:43
right now yeah uh Samantha the name of the list in the Facebook group was is it just called a store brand list I believe
1:03:49
so yeah I think you actually posted it um I think it's the maybe private label Brands list or private label store a
1:03:56
private private label store brands yeah that one okay do you use do you use mostly regular price retail stores or do
1:04:03
you use discount retail stores too oh uh no it's pretty much all regular price we
1:04:08
don't buy anything uh well very little do we buy at a discounted price um yeah
1:04:14
it's all regular price you know whether it's Target or it's a regional store or a local store it's almost always regular
1:04:21
price how do you avoid IP and counterfeit claims uh because these are replans uh
1:04:27
you know we're not dealing with as high of I guess products that have so much interest now that will still happen and
1:04:34
in the Facebook group I have templates for dealing with IP and counterfeit claims um that have worked very well for
1:04:41
us and other people that have used them um but for the most part we actually get less IP and counterfeit claims than we
1:04:47
did when we sold clearance products because those clearance products are usually like the hot toy or Nike shoes
1:04:52
or you know something that they're going to be more fous
1:04:58
versus if you're looking at store brands or Regional product um they're going to have less um like less lawyer presence
1:05:05
essentially on Amazon okay Barbara he's using merch
1:05:12
he's doing FBA um versus Merchant fulfilled um Edward how often do you quote retire a
1:05:18
product or stop selling it and how often are you adding new products uh so we have people that are constantly adding
1:05:23
new products for us uh and our drop off rate and so this is also I've got a template for this in the course but our
1:05:31
drop off rate's about 5% um it might be 5 to 7% at this point I haven't looked
1:05:36
in about a year um but about 5% is what we were seeing is every month those
1:05:41
replans would drop off um and so that could be because the price has dropped
1:05:47
um a bunch of sellers have jumped on and so our sales velocity is slowed it could be any number of reasons but about 5% of
1:05:53
them drop so if uh you know you have 100 replans that month you might lose five but if you're finding another 30 then
1:06:00
you know you're net positive so um that's what we try to do is constantly add so that your business can constantly
1:06:06
grow and then a year from now those products that fell off you can probably go back and check and they might
1:06:11
actually be good again hey can you um K I'm G put into bed just 30 seconds can
1:06:17
you see this those questions in Zoom yeah the Q&A yeah and just fire you go rapid fire down through them I'll go
1:06:23
back I'll go through U and and look do the Facebook ones as best I can okay I saw some people posting in chat too but
1:06:29
uh okay guys if you're in Zoom please please try to post in the Q&A because I'm missing questions in the chat right
1:06:36
okay I'm good uh so Lynn asked I often come across items that should be selling for about $20 regular store price but
1:06:43
the price listed on Amazon is $60 why is that so I assume that you're saying like
1:06:51
why is there that price difference between the you know whatever store you're at and it's selling for on Amazon
1:06:57
um if that's the question then that's just because people on Amazon want to get it in one or two days um if possible
1:07:03
and you know they're willing to not have to go to the store and do all the work and drive however far it is or think
1:07:09
about people that live in New York City or you know major metropolitan areas or city areas you know they might not be
1:07:15
able to go to the store without a two-hour drive because of traffic so a lot of people are willing to pay more and get it on their doorstep from a
1:07:21
trusted place like like Amazon so hopefully that helps
1:07:27
um when starting from scratch and with minimal startup Capital would you go with o ra or replans or a mixture thanks
1:07:33
so replans is OA and ra to me um so if you're talking about clearance or replans I 100% would do replans um just
1:07:41
because minimum startup cap or minimal startup Capital means that you're risking more if you're doing clearance
1:07:46
products than if you're doing replenishable products that you can test out and you know we're going to be um able to sell at least consistently based
1:07:54
off keepa so I would repins uh Retail Arbitrage has a little bit more lower
1:07:59
hanging fruit because not everybody has access to those Regional products that might be in your area um online
1:08:05
Arbitrage though dep you know is very good for us uh as well so it just depends on your time and and how much
1:08:11
effort you can put uh into that but I would personally I like retail stores
1:08:17
and doing that um just because that's how we started but hopefully that helps how does replen startup cost compare I
1:08:24
assume you said to ra OA um the startup cost is probably the same I mean you can
1:08:30
do it with 100 bucks uh no problem it just takes you longer with the less money that you have uh to start with
1:08:36
obviously what kind of person is best for an employee to shop and how much is fair to pay someone per hour to do this
1:08:42
task so um what kind of person depends
1:08:47
uh you know for Let's see we pay it'll
1:08:52
depend on per state for us we start them at $1 per hour after 30 days and they're
1:08:58
trained and they're doing well we bump them to 12 um and anybody that does really well will give them raises from
1:09:03
there as far as what kind of person is best for an employee to shop really anybody that likes to shop or has the
1:09:10
time uh you know maybe five 10 hours a week just even part-time is probably best I don't like I wouldn't want
1:09:16
somebody to do this 40 hours a week because it can be draining um as a job if you're not making hundreds of dollars
1:09:22
from this if you're the person making $12 an hour you know 40 hours a week can get a little uh long so I would suggest
1:09:29
anybody that can do about 10 hours a week um 10 to 20 if possible but um you know we've got some that do about five
1:09:35
hours a week as well I heard there was a keepa tutorial where can I find it that's in our um
1:09:42
Facebook group for the the course we've got a couple different keepa tutorials I've got a standard operating procedure
1:09:48
it's 17 pages I think for how to read keepa charts and uh yeah there's a lot there any categories you stay away from
1:09:55
no we sell in pretty much any category that I can think of I mean there might be some that I don't know about maybe
1:10:01
but we don't purposely stay away from anything um as much as we can just because there's so much out there I mean
1:10:07
why would I I guess well okay Electronics I haven't looked at repins
1:10:12
there so maybe that's one I stay away from we used to sell electronics clearance and you know it was uh
1:10:17
something that we just had a couple bad experiences with so we stayed away from it but since we've been doing replans
1:10:22
I've never tried to look in electronics um how do you know which brands to steer clear of um well I mean a lot of times
1:10:30
they're going to be restricted um for the most part I think that there's like
1:10:35
different lists out there um that you can find for free I think that can tell you hey stay away from this brand but we
1:10:42
usually if it's a major brand a lot of times we don't sell it um not on purpose but a lot of times there's too many
1:10:48
sellers on it but that's usually where you'll find issues or major national Brands but sometimes it'll be small
1:10:55
Brands I mean it's hard to tell if you send in a couple usually you're fine and if not as long as you have the receipts
1:11:01
to prove that the product was new and legitimate from a distributor then you should be fine um so we knock on wood uh
1:11:09
haven't had huge issues with any of that so um so every seller should be getting a retail license in order to get tax
1:11:16
exempt which pack module addresses this so uh to get tax exempt it's not every seller because some states are tax
1:11:22
exempt completely um but but most States there's going to be different paperwork
1:11:28
and in Most states that is a retail sales license which is worth getting it I'm not sure which pack module would
1:11:34
address it because each state is different so I would look at your secretary of state's website and find out that information uh if possible or
1:11:41
ask like a local accountant or something to help you with that is better do products that you can attach to existing
1:11:46
listings or create a new listing If the product does not have a listing on Amazon so that's a great question I didn't address that um so we're
1:11:54
specifically talking about not creating our own listings here um I'm again this is the lowest hanging fruit on Amazon
1:12:01
essentially how can we find products and listings that are already selling and then sell on those listings as well
1:12:08
that's how keepo works is because it's already an existing listing so we're not talking about creating new listings that would be looking at the bundle course or
1:12:15
The Proven private label course and you know all of those other ones that are in pack so um we're talking strictly about
1:12:22
attaching to an existing listing only why do people want to pay more than
1:12:28
retail for a hammer on a consistent basis I know it's not the same forgetful Carpenter well uh so when we're talking
1:12:34
about Hammers and stuff like that it's not people buying them regularly like you said it's not the same forgetful
1:12:40
Carpenter um it's usually multiple different people that are like I need a hammer I'm going to look up a Craftsman
1:12:45
hammer and they just find one and they're like okay 50 bucks is great and they pay for it same with food you know
1:12:52
I need to shop I don't want to go to the store especially now in the you know covid situation or my store closes too
1:12:58
early whatever it might be I'm just going to go to Amazon and order it and it'll be on my doorstep and they're
1:13:03
happy um it's about saving people time and providing that service for them um
1:13:09
and so yeah that people are willing to pay more to get it in one or two days at a fairly decent price a lot of
1:13:16
times um what do you suggest paying someone to go out and buy repun for you we pay 11 to start and after they're
1:13:22
trained $12 an hour um you know you know again that depends on minimum wage in your area and all of that you have a
1:13:29
problem with price gouging complaints since you buy at a retail price and have to raise the price uh we've seen price
1:13:35
gouging complaints but I don't have a problem with it like no it's not like we're getting those every day I think I
1:13:40
might have gotten three or four in like the last six months so I mean it's very rare um
1:13:49
so I don't have a problem with it uh and you know usually it's if it's a feedback
1:13:54
you can get that removed because they're not allowed to leave feedback on your seller account about price and if it's just a question or a statement by
1:14:01
somebody that's never really an issue no need to even address it usually but where in the course can I find the IP
1:14:07
claim course of action that is in the Facebook group Carlos so if you go to the Facebook group there's IP or
1:14:13
performance templates in the file section and it's got five or six different templates for all the
1:14:18
different performance um things that can come up what's your monthly inventory spend at 10K and 40K in sales so that'll
1:14:25
depend on your Roi and profit so what our monthly inventory spend was at 10K was about $3,000 to $3,500 of
1:14:33
spend um because then we would profit about that at same exact amount um and at 40K again if you're doing a um Roi
1:14:41
over 100% and you're profiting um you know 30% across the board then you're
1:14:48
probably spending um 12 to $15,000 a month if your Roi is less than you're
1:14:55
spending between 15 to to $20,000 a month it just depends on what rois you're shooting
1:15:01
for are all products listed as FBA or do you pack some and ship directly
1:15:07
98% of our products are FBA uh we do pack some especially over the last few months we did do fulfilled by Merchant
1:15:14
and we actually used a prep Center for that instead of ourselves so we would ship stuff to them um and use them to
1:15:20
ship it for us so we didn't have to worry about that cool that's all in the Q&A let me
1:15:26
check chat I guess got some questions um from earlier
1:15:32
um what's the secret to find 50 replans in a day and do you hit more than one store a day what's the secret to find 50
1:15:39
in a day just time um you know we can find Britney and myself just just the
1:15:44
two of us can find over a hundred in a day and you know we don't have to hit more than uh one store a day but if
1:15:51
you're talking about the re The Proven replen training where we come in person uh with you we guarantee 50 replans and
1:15:57
we usually hit three Stores um just because we like to give you an experience of different stores and how
1:16:03
they work and what types of products and all of that I see a question in here will you update the keepa training PDF
1:16:09
to include what's happened recently um or are we hoping everything goes back to normal uh I didn't update the PDF but I
1:16:15
did do an updated video it all holds as for the most part true but I am hoping
1:16:20
that it goes back to normal um if you know that variation chains uh sticks
1:16:25
around for a long time then I'll probably update it but that's why I made a video for now just to in the group so
1:16:30
everybody knew kind of how to read it um yeah so you got some more questions and
1:16:36
popping up in the Q&A now oh wow yeah sorry I was looking at the chat there's still question in there how much do you
1:16:42
train your employees do you give them the whole course to study um there's I have a whole module on that in the
1:16:48
actual course um we spend a month with them um and we pretty much try to get
1:16:53
them independent so and we don't give them the course at all because we have people that just do shopping and people that just do prep and ship and it
1:17:00
doesn't necessarily apply across the board so when do you start Q4 planning and buying uh Lynn we actually do not do
1:17:06
that anymore um because we just strictly stay with replans um we can do that uh
1:17:13
we haven't done it though at least last year we didn't do it the year before we did but we were just getting the replans
1:17:20
two years so um I would start if you're going to start Q4 planning and buying would start July to August personally um
1:17:29
yeah do you reinvest certain percentage of your profit back into the business for a certain amount of time or when do you start taking profits I would
1:17:36
reinvest every dollar you can until you have to take out the money so that's my personal opinion that's what we did um
1:17:43
you know at a certain point yeah if you've got extra money and you're like you know what I want to start making x amount per month then uh start drawing
1:17:50
from it but it'll obviously slow your growth um you know the less amount you can put back into your business there's
1:17:55
no set time um as long as you can hold off is what I always
1:18:00
suggest um so with my Android I can use a seller app in keepa in store yes Samantha you can with your Android and
1:18:06
actually Kea has an app uh for Android where they don't have an app for iPhone so
1:18:13
um do you have any success at drug stores such as CVS and Walgreens we
1:18:19
do uh at your current level how many current replans do you have now okay great question
1:18:25
uh before Co and all of our stuff sold out a lot of our stuff sold out we were over a
1:18:31
thousand different SKS now we're at about 5 to 600 but the velocity is so
1:18:37
high that we can't keep things in stock so that's why we typically we're over a thousand at this point if that helps
1:18:43
anything um you don't need that many um it's not a requirement but obviously that's what we chose to
1:18:50
do um all right that's it for in here anything
1:18:56
on Facebook I see you answered a lot of these the chat Peter's question is keep
1:19:03
a free no joy at $17 a month correct it used to be free but I'm glad they
1:19:08
switched it to paid because that means they'll stay for longer I was always worried they'd stop right what they did
1:19:14
that's a necessary tool yeah uh you answered this before what your average Prof average profit
1:19:20
margin um so whenever it was just me and Britney no one pulled employees our profit margin was about 30 to
1:19:28
35% um and with employees we're between like 14 and 16 usually I mean there are some months where we're over 20 and some
1:19:34
months where we're at like % but that's because we had huge inventory purchases or something changed so we average 14 to
1:19:42
16 do you get resistance from the stores when you go in and buy out their stock or do they not
1:19:47
care uh it would depend we really don't get much resistance uh for the most part
1:19:52
but yeah I mean some stores especially if it's they'll be happy to see you buying a bunch of stuff because they you know
1:19:58
they need the business or especially local but you we don't get much resistance
1:20:05
okay Peter you asked in the Facebook group when does the course start it's already done we're just uh we he just
1:20:11
had he's constantly add new content to it but the general date modules are
1:20:17
finished for that one yes David keepa does have a bot for
1:20:22
Facebook messenger that's right does yeah how do you add product on the seller app enter the product and apply
1:20:29
to sell do you teach about stepbystep how to add product no that would be in The Proven Amazon course yeah Amazon 101
1:20:36
course probably has that in pack use your resale certificate at each
1:20:41
store yeah as much as possible yeah yeah I mean as much as we can like if you're going to Walmart they've got their own
1:20:46
system and card um you know if you're going to a Dollar Tree or or I guess a Dollar General they've got their own
1:20:51
system and card thing you know like paper each store will be different all you have to do when you go up to the the
1:20:57
counter is be like hey I'm tax exempt uh what do you need for me and um they'll
1:21:02
usually give you whatever they need sometimes they just need a copy of your certificate sometimes they need you to
1:21:08
fill out a form that's pretty basic Danny the course inside pack is
1:21:13
being updated with all new content just adding he adds he's adding new like webinars monthly in the Facebook group
1:21:20
yeah that's what that's what he's we're talking about updating eventually I'm sure he will do something like that yeah dorine yes there is a different Facebook
1:21:27
group for the
1:21:32
replans Debbie's asking do they ever send somebody check on you security when you're in the store for that long that's
1:21:39
happened one time um and it was the manager at Walmart and I was actually in the clearance aisle that was before
1:21:44
replants but because I was scanning products um which looks I think a little bit more spec suspicious than uh when
1:21:52
you're typing into your phone because you just be texting but um yeah that's happened one time and it was fine I told
1:21:57
her I was like hey I actually I'm looking to buy the stuff to sell it online she was like oh okay and she left
1:22:03
she didn't ask me any other questions which was odd but they want to sell and you want to buy yeah a great question
1:22:08
from Brad thank you for this webinar is helping everyone for you a passion or is the course also a business you rely on
1:22:16
uh no it's absolutely a passion I love teaching people um you know it's it's been amazing I mean it hasn't even been
1:22:22
a year it's been 11 months to see see uh all of the success and all the people that have come through and I love
1:22:29
teaching and helping people so I mean I'm in the Facebook group quite a bit um you know at least once or twice a day so
1:22:36
yeah love helping people okay I see Joy said it's nice to
1:22:42
