When the Church get Sick Rev Tugaso Manyu
Aug 5, 2025
Rev. Tugaso Manyu delivered a compelling sermon on the theme, “When the Church Gets Sick,” drawing from Luke 19:45–46 and 1 Corinthians 6:19–20.
He challenged the congregation to reflect deeply on the spiritual health of the Church, especially when leaders fail to uphold justice or when transparency is lacking among its members. He emphasized that an unwillingness to confess sin is a clear symptom of spiritual sickness.
True healing begins with surrendering one’s life to God—embracing a life that’s not merely religious in ritual, but devoted from within. Prayer, he reminded, must be rooted in sincerity and transformation, not routine.
As a corporate body, are we ready to confront these truths? Are we willing to cleanse what’s unwell in us—individually and collectively?
