The groundbreaking movie has been praised for its race and gender-conscious casting and costuming, and boasts the Marvel Cinematic Universe's first Black director, Ryan Coogler. Coogler's visual brilliance brought the fictional nation of Wakanda to life, along with breathtaking action sequences and stunts. But every great director has to make some hard decisions about what makes it into a movie or not.
