Since it takes place chronologically right before the original Star Wars, plenty of viewers were hoping for Rogue One to include a lot of Easter Eggs and fan bonuses, and they were not let down. The spin-off film features some characters fans probably never expected to see again, and there are plenty of references to the original film series to boot.
