Some shows need time to build an audience, but the networks or streaming services don't always give them that. Some shows are canceled way too early into their run for outright stupid reasons, like the time that Amazon Studios head Roy Price canceled a show that he wasn't personally entertained by (Who needs Nielsen families when you have Roy?).
