Today’s Focus: Today, I'm taking a step back from the heavy confessions to celebrate where my love for music actually came from: my mom's side of the family. I'm taking you back to my grandpa's yellow house in Rockford and his basement room filled with 20,000 records, growing watching my uncles Tim and Gary play guitar, listening to my mom sing, and my early teenage years helping my mom DJ at the local bars in Phillips. For the rest of the episode, I'm just letting the guitar do the talking.
