You calm down for me.
0:07
Good boy.
0:07
There we go.
0:08
This week we're at the Benjamin Lee
0:10
Bison Ranch near Sarah, Oklahoma. Back
0:12
in the day, the bison that roam this
0:14
land were thicker than flies at a summer
0:16
picnic from Texas to the Dakotas and
0:18
especially Oklahoma.
0:20
We're about to work some uh bison, see
0:22
check some ages, check some weights.
0:24
Really pull that bottom gum line down
0:26
and you can see how many adult teeth
0:28
they got. And you know, we we're going
0:29
to hope that maybe three and a half to
0:31
four years old on some of these.
0:37
Just got through helping Austin age them
0:39
bison over there. And he furnished me
0:40
some really good bison meats that's
0:42
ground up like this. And we're going to
0:44
make chili. And the first thing we're
0:45
going to do is get all this crumbled in
0:47
that 20-in skillet over. Give it
0:48
seasoning. Then we'll dice the onions
0:50
and put that in there. Get it browned
0:51
up. Then it's time to get it all to
0:53
simmering together.

Chili is prizewinning. It is. I'll tell
1:06
you, the cornbread is just like I wanted
1:08
it. And Shen has crushed my mother's old
1:10
dessert and made it a classic meal
1:12
again. It is time to get them in here.
1:14
Bless it. And let's eat. We thank y'all
1:16
so much, you and your family, for uh
1:19
letting us be out here really and
1:21
recreate history and see a part of
1:23
history. go with us, Lord, and just keep
1:25
us all safe. Thank you again for all
1:26
that we have. Forgive us, worry, fail.
1:28
And it's in Christ's name I ask these
1:29
things. Amen.
1:32
I'm kind of sad to say goodbye to the
1:35
bison.
1:36
Yeah, they, you know, it's the first
1:37
time I've had any encamp that I can
1:39
remember in probably 30 something years.
