The internet loves an overly strong opinion, but it's hard to find people who don't only have bad things to say about MG TF's. But for sub £1000, how bad can they be?
Somehow I've ended up with the keys to one, which is currently for sale for £750. £750 doesn't buy you much in the taxed and tested world of motoring. So we really are at the budget end of 4 wheel fun here.
So is it as bad as people reckon? Or an absolute bargain?
If you can't be bothered to watch the video, I'll summarize.
You won't find a more fun car sub £1000. I'd even double that budget, I wouldn't feel salty if I paid £2000 for this. It's actually really good!
