Ultimate Carajillo Recipe
Introduction:
Carajillo is a delightful Spanish coffee cocktail that combines espresso with a splash of liqueur, typically brandy or Licor 43. This beverage is popular in Spain and Latin America, where it’s enjoyed as a pick-me-up after a meal or as a warming treat. The combination of robust coffee and sweet liqueur creates a smooth, flavorful drink that’s both comforting and energizing.
Ingredients:
1 shot (1 ounce) of espresso (or strong brewed coffee)
1 ounce of Licor 43 or brandy (or other liqueur of your choice)
1 teaspoon of sugar (adjust to taste)
1 cinnamon stick (optional)
Ice cubes (optional)
Whipped cream (optional, for garnish)
Instructions:
Prepare the Espresso: Brew a shot of espresso using your espresso machine. If you don't have an espresso machine, you can use strong brewed coffee as a substitute.
Sweeten the Coffee: While the coffee is still hot, stir in the sugar until completely dissolved. Adjust the amount of sugar according to your taste preference.
