Ingredients:
1 pound tomatillos, husked and rinsed
2 cloves garlic, peeled
1 small onion, chopped
1-2 jalapeño peppers (to taste), stemmed and seeded
1/4 cup fresh cilantro leaves
Juice of 1 lime
Salt to taste
1 tablespoon olive oil (optional)
Instructions:
Preheat your oven’s broiler or a grill to high heat.
Place the tomatillos, garlic cloves, and jalapeño peppers on a baking sheet. Broil or grill, turning occasionally, until the tomatillos are blackened and soft (about 5-7 minutes).
