Introduction:
Peach Dump Cake is a delightful and effortless dessert that combines the sweet, juicy flavor of peaches with a buttery, cake-like topping. Ideal for those busy days when you crave something homemade but don't have much time, this dessert is a true crowd-pleaser. With just a few simple ingredients and minimal prep, you can enjoy a warm, comforting treat that feels like a hug in a bowl.
Ingredients:
2 (15-ounce) cans of sliced peaches in syrup (or 4 cups of fresh peaches, peeled and sliced)
1 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 box (15.25-ounce) yellow cake mix (or vanilla cake mix)
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
Drain the peaches and spread them evenly in the bottom of the prepared dish. If using fresh peaches, you might want to toss them with 1/4 cup of the granulated sugar before placing them in the dish.
In a small bowl, mix the remaining 3/4 cup of granulated sugar with the ground cinnamon. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the peaches.
