Introduction
Mango lassi is a refreshing and creamy yogurt-based drink originating from the Indian subcontinent. It's made with ripe mangoes, yogurt, milk, and a touch of sweetness. This smooth and flavorful beverage is perfect for cooling down on a hot day or as a refreshing accompaniment to spicy Indian dishes.
Ingredients
1 cup ripe mango, peeled and diced
1 cup plain yogurt
1/2 cup milk
2 tablespoons sugar or honey (adjust to taste)
1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom (optional)
Ice cubes (optional)
Fresh mint leaves or sliced almonds for garnish (optional)
Instructions
Prepare the Mango: Peel and dice the ripe mango. If using fresh mangoes, remove the flesh from the pit.
Blend Ingredients: In a blender, combine the diced mango, plain yogurt, milk, sugar or honey, and ground cardamom (if using). Blend until smooth and creamy.
