How to Make Authentic Fufu
Introduction:
Fufu is a staple food in many West African countries, often served as a side dish to accompany soups and stews. Traditionally made from starchy foods like yams, plantains, or cassava, fufu has a smooth, dough-like consistency and is typically eaten by hand. Although the traditional version of fufu is carb-heavy, a carnivore-friendly version can be made with a few modifications.
Ingredients:
1 lb beef tendon or oxtail (provides a gelatinous texture similar to traditional fufu)
1 cup beef broth (optional)
Salt (to taste)
Preparation:
Prepare the Beef Tendon/Oxtail:
Rinse the beef tendon or oxtail thoroughly under cold water.
Cut into smaller pieces if necessary, to fit into your cooking pot.
