Whether you're using salmon, trout, or tilapia, this recipe will provide a delicious, flaky fish with a smoky char. With minimal ingredients and straightforward preparation, you can enjoy a healthy and flavorful meal any night of the week.
Ingredients:
4 fish fillets (such as salmon, trout, or tilapia)
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 lemon (sliced into wedges)
2 cloves garlic (minced)
1 teaspoon dried oregano
Salt and black pepper (to taste)
Fresh herbs (such as parsley or dill, for garnish)
Preparation:
Preheat the Grill: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. If using a charcoal grill, let the coals burn until they are covered with white ash.
Prepare the Fish: Pat the fish fillets dry with paper towels. This will help them get a nice sear on the grill.
Seasoning: In a small bowl, mix olive oil, minced garlic, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Brush this mixture generously over both sides of the fish fillets.
Grilling: Place the fish fillets on the grill, skin-side down if applicable. Close the grill lid and cook for the following times based on doneness:
Rare: 2-3 minutes per side
