Frosé Recipe: The Perfect Frozen Rosé Drink
Frosé, a frozen rosé cocktail, is a refreshing and vibrant way to enjoy a summer day. This simple yet delicious drink requires minimal ingredients, making it a go-to for effortless entertaining. The combination of rosé, fresh strawberries, and a touch of sweetness creates a slushy treat that’s perfect for hot afternoons or relaxing with friends. With just a few steps, you'll have a beautiful, icy glass of frosé.
Ingredients:
1 bottle of dry rosé wine
1 cup fresh or frozen strawberries, hulled and sliced
2 tablespoons sugar (or honey/maple syrup as a substitute)
1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
Ice cubes (optional for thicker consistency)
Fresh mint or lemon slices for garnish
Instructions:
1. Freeze the Rosé:
Pour the rosé wine into a shallow baking dish or tray. Place it in the freezer for at least 6 hours or overnight until it becomes icy but not completely frozen. (Rosé won’t freeze solid due to the alcohol content.)
2. Prepare the Strawberry Syrup:
In a small saucepan, combine the sliced strawberries and sugar over medium heat. Cook until the strawberries release their juices, about 5 minutes, then let the mixture cool.
Strain the mixture using a fine-mesh sieve to remove seeds, leaving you with a smooth strawberry syrup.
3. Blend the Frosé:
