Caramel Apples Ingredients: 6 medium-sized apples (Granny Smith or another tart variety) 1 (14-ounce) package of caramel candies 2 tablespoons water Optional toppings: chopped nuts, sprinkles, crushed cookies, chocolate chips Instructions: Prepare the Apples: Wash and dry the apples thoroughly. Remove any stems and insert wooden sticks or popsicle sticks into the tops of the apples where the stems were. Set aside on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Melt the Caramel: Unwrap the caramel candies and place them in a microwave-safe bowl with 2 tablespoons of water. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until the caramels are completely melted and smooth. Alternatively, melt the caramels in a saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly to prevent burning. Dip the Apples:
