24 whole dates, pitted π°
12 slices bacon, cut in half crosswise π₯
4 oz cream cheese or goat cheese π§
1/4 cup almonds or pecans, toasted and chopped π°
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon π (optional)
Freshly ground black pepper π, to taste
Toothpicks or cocktail sticks π¦·

Preheat the oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C). π₯ Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
Prepare the dates: Using a paring knife, make a small slit in each date and remove the pit. π΄
