World's oldest countries. All right, here we go. We are beginning with the USA Declaration of Independence 1776. What is next? Saudi Arabia, 278 years old. Obviously, there are lots of countries that are younger than these countries, such as South Sudan, which I think was 2011. So that's literally only 11 years old. But this video is about the world's oldest countries. Netherlands coming in at 441. Then we've got Spain, 500 years old, Kazakhstan. Right. So what is going to be the oldest country? I genuinely don't know. I know that Scotland is coming in. 4141. Then we've got Spain, 500 years old. Kazakhstan. Right. So what is going to be the oldest country? I genuinely don't know. I know. I know that Scotland. I know that Scotland. I know that Scotland
0:30
is considered pretty old, or at least their flag is, it's like over a thousand years
0:33
But I don't think, in the grand scheme of things, it'll be that old. It's got to be somewhere in Asia, surely
0:38
Turkey, 700 years. I don't know. Do I go with China? Maybe Mongolia for the oldest country
0:44
Let's see. We will find out at the end of this video. Already, though, Andorra, tiny little country
0:49
It's amazing to think that it has been around that long. Tiny little country in between Spain and France
0:53
Thailand, 784 years old. Ireland, popping in there at 851 of the Lordship of the Lordship of France
0:59
of Ireland. Portugal. We're nearing a 900 years now. I love seeing all the flags waggling about
1:05
Look, we can see them all in the background. That's delightful. Okay, Montenegro, 980 years. That is so much older than I would have assumed. Right, we've now surpassed
1:13
a thousand years old. Sweden, a thousand years. Holland, a thousand years. Iceland coming in
1:20
Oh, the United Kingdom. A thousand and ninety-five years, the kingdom of England. Hang on
1:24
hang on, I've suddenly thought. I don't think it'll be China. I think it'll be somewhere like
1:27
Syria or Israel or Iran maybe I think it going to be a Middle Eastern country because I know that some of their roads are like 9 years old Right Ukraine and Myanmar 1 Germany 179 Serbia Europe way older than I been thinking obviously
1:46
Right, Bulgaria. Okay. Bangladesh, quite a big increase to 1,400 years old. France. Oh my God, 1,500 years old
1:57
San Marino. Tiny, tiny, tiny. country. How has it been around that? Whoa. Oh my God, Algeria
2:02
Rewind that jump. We went from San Marino, 1,700. That is a huge increase to Algeria at over
2:09
2,200. We've gone up by 1,000 years. Right, there was one of my first guesses, Mongolia
2:15
Algeria, that's insane. Morocco, 2,200 as well. Armenia, 2,300. Sri Lanka just kind of sliding in there. And then Iran, right, that was one of my guesses
2:26
I guess I'm going to have to go with Syria. That's going to make my guess. Japan, 2,600. This is insane. Greece, 2,700. That makes sense with the ancient Greeks. Ethiopia. 3,000. Obviously, whoa, my God. What is it? This must be last. China
2:42
This is China beat them. 4,000 years. Oh my God, India. 4,500 years. That's crazy. Whoa, whoa, whoa, here we go. Here we go. Egypt. Why didn't I think of Egypt
2:52
It's the oldest country. 5,170 years. Of course it's Egypt. Obviously. Well, that's
2:59
That is absolutely insane. Anyway, thank you so much for watching. Check out World Data 3D at the top of the description, along with my Jack Sucks or Grover U2s, which is available right now. Thanks a lot. I'll see you later
