Continents of the world compared
0:02
Alright, we've got Asia, Europe, Americas, Africa and Oceania. You can see that they've combined North and South America on this occasion
0:09
People define the continents slightly differently depending on who you ask. But okay, let's see. Let's see what we've got
0:14
Right, first thing, population. So, Asia's obviously gonna win that and then Oceania will be last
0:20
Let's see. Jeez! Nearly 60% of the entire world population just comes from Asia
0:25
That is mad. And we've got 9.4 in Europe 13% in the Americas
0:29
That's over a billion 17% in Africa and then just 0.6% in Oceania right from this point onwards
0:35
I'm gonna play along most population country For Asia that will be China for Europe. That will be Russia for the Americas. That will be the US not Brazil for Africa
0:46
It's probably Nigeria and then for Oceania. It'll obviously be Australia. Okay, let's see. Let's see. We're right
0:51
Yes, fantastic. Well done Jack next one next one area I can't really play along to that one. We've got Asia taking up nearly 30% of the world and Oceania takes up just 5.7%
1:03
I assume that's just land mass as opposed to all the ocean as well. Okay, what's the next thing
1:06
What's the next thing? Oh, that was a nice little plane. Largest country by area. So in Asia, it'll be Russia if Russia's counted
1:13
But if it isn't counted, it'll be China. I'd cut Russia though. There's a lot of Russia in Asia. You can see it right here
1:18
In Europe, it'd also be Russia. In America, it'd be Brazil. Would it be Brazil? No. Yeah, it would be Canada, not Brazil
1:24
And then in Africa, I don't actually know the largest country. I'm going to try Algeria, though
1:28
And then in Oceania, it'd obviously be Australia again. Let's see. Were we correct
1:32
Oh, my God. I've nailed it. Russia, Russia, Canada. I nearly said Brazil, but obviously it's not Brazil
1:36
Then Algeria and then Australia. God, I'm on fire. What's the next thing? Density
1:40
Densest country in Asia. Oh, there's a few contenders, but I think I will just go with India
1:45
In Europe I know it Monaco In Americas I don actually know I go with Mexico I think And then Africa I go with somewhere kind of small but not too small maybe Uganda and then in Oceania It be some tiny little island won it I will try Fiji I guess why not let see
2:01
Right, I've misunderstood the equation that it's just give me overall continental density as opposed to a specific country
2:07
Maybe density of specific countries will come up next. Yes, let's see. Obviously. It's Singapore in Asia
2:13
So I was wrong there. We did get Monaco though. We did not get Bermuda. I would never have thought of Bermuda
2:18
We did not get Mauritius and we did not get Micronesia. So really my entire life has crumbled in this one round
2:23
But you know we got Monaco. I'll take that. Very nice. Thank you. Okay, next one. GDP
2:28
So let's see the overall continental GDP, which is 39 trillion for Asia
2:34
24 trillion for Europe, which is very high considering how low we are on the other things
2:39
32 trillion for the americas 2.9 trillion for africa which is a lot lower and then 1.8 trillion for
2:45
oceania so it's very sad to see how low africa is considering how huge it is and how many people
2:51
live there right can we get specific countries oh so for the americas it's obviously going to be the
2:55
us for europe i'll try the united kingdom asia will obviously be china africa i feel like might
3:00
be rwanda and then oceania will be australia so let's see okay it's giving us overall totals first
3:06
I want it per country. Let's see. Ooh, we got the US. We got China. We did not get Germany
3:12
I think that's me falling for foolish United Kingdom propaganda there. Being taught that the UK is way better than it actually is
3:18
And then we've got Australia over here. All right, next one. What's next? What's next? Here we go
3:22
Richest country. So United States. I'm not going to lie. I can kind of see them here
3:27
That's Nigeria again, I'm assuming. There's a little Tasmania down there, so that's Australia
3:32
And then I think, is this going to be Singapore again? Let's see. Yeah, Singapore, Luxembourg. Interesting
3:36
Seychelles go on Obviously it per capita though so that does have a huge impact More spoken language Chinese Or Mandarin it might be English I guess Spanish for the Americas For Africa I think I try English again
3:50
And then Oceania will also be English. So let's see. Oh, in Russian
3:53
Of course. It's Russian. It's obviously more spoken language in Europe. We did get Spanish though
3:58
We did get Mandarin. And we did get English. We did not get Arabic. Okay, what's next
4:03
What's next? This is all very, very interesting. Longest river. Ooh. So in Africa, it'll be the Nile, obviously. Oceania, I've no idea. Europe, I've also no idea
4:13
The Americas, I would guess the Amazon? And Asia, I don't think I know either. Let's see
4:18
Yeah, we got the Nile and then we got the Amazon, but we did not get any of the others. Fair enough
4:23
Largest mall. The Mall of America, Mall of Arabia. Oh my god, look at the size of the Mall of America
4:30
The Iran Mall is 15 million feet. I need to see a picture of the Iran Mall
4:34
Whoa, wow. Well that does put the metro center to shame. I'm not gonna lie. It's all a statue
4:39
We did do a video about statues recently. I know in Asia It will be the statue of unity and then in Africa
4:45
All I can remember is the Senegal Renaissance statue and then America's all I can think of is Christ the Redeemer
4:51
I don't know. Let's play it out statue of unity We got the motherland calls in Europe. That is an epic Russian statue
4:57
Guerrero Chamale which I've never heard of in the Americas and then oh my god
5:01
I actually got the Renaissance one is so it's African Renaissance monument as opposed to Senegal, but it's in Senegal
5:06
I remember that and then this fella looks incredible the big miracle statue. I wanna look at more pictures of that. That is so small
5:14
The car do not tell me that is the biggest statue in the entirety of Oceania
5:18
No wonder I've not seen it before I could build that myself just for comparison
5:22
This is the African statue look at the size of the people that cannot be the biggest statue in Australia
5:28
I do not believe that So now richest person so for America I would say Elon Musk although he is from Africa originally so I don know which one he pop up in in Asia Isn there a fellow called Jack that from China Maybe I not sure and then I can think of anyone else
5:43
Let's see. Yeah, Elon did win for the Americas and then we have Gutham
5:47
Adani in Asia. What's next? What have we got next largest city by population
5:51
Tokyo, Istanbul, Sao Paulo, Cairo and Melbourne fair enough. That all makes sense. Which is city
5:57
Do you know what? I might try for London. Come on Europe. Yes, there we go. New York. That makes sense
6:03
Johannesburg, Sydney and Tokyo. That all makes a lot of sense. Internet users. No idea, but we will have an awful lot in Asia
6:10
2.4 billion. Look at that. 52% of people in Asia now have access to the internet. So 50-50, that's nice
6:16
Everyone needs access to the internet these days though. You can see that only 33% in Africa. That's awfully sad
6:22
What have we got next? Olympic comparison, total Olympic medals, go on Europe 7,000 gold medals, 2,000 in Europe
6:31
120 in Africa, which does surprise me and then America's I would have expected to be maybe a little bit higher as well
6:37
Military comparison, 10 billion in Asia, right okay, reserve personnel 12 billion in Asia this time
6:45
Look at all the tanks battle tanks 48,000 and 31,000 in Europe
6:51
I reckon Russia are kind of responsible for a lot of these numbers that we're looking at
6:55
All right military defense budget we have got 300 billion for Europe
7:00
800 billion for the Americas I think that's mainly the US I know they have just a ridiculously ginormous military budget
7:06
Yeah apparently their budget is 801 billion You can see the total for both North and South America is 835
7:13
So that is jeez come on. And there we go. That's the end of the video
7:18
What a delightful transition to end on Thank you very much for watching. Hope you learned something as well link today to duck will be at the top of the description
