The noted technique has several advantages. In particular, it allows you to increase your score, to reach a 250-word limit, and add academic style to your essay. You should look for statements that are generalised, and "hedge" them. By using generalizations, probabilities, and subjunctive and conditional constructions, you will avoid making strong statements. Therefore, you should not present your opinions as facts; on the contrary, it is better to wrap your sentences in probabilities/possibilities without making massive assumptions. Another option is to add an adverb with frequency or possibility right after an affirmative auxiliary verb.
