good morning Husker fans welcome back to
0:02

0:04
Chris Peterson and joining me as always
0:05
is Danny Gillette we're back here for
0:07
another episode of the podcast and today
0:09
we're going to preview another big
0:10
basketball game for the Nebraska
0:12
basketball team as Maryland will be
0:14
coming to the Vault tonight for another
0:16
huge contest we've got some recruiting
0:18
nuggets for Nebraska football in them
0:20
we're going to talk a little bit about
0:21
uh Scott Frost uh Matt patrici some
0:23
other things happening around the Big 10
0:25
in college football so before we do that

section and Danny how are you doing on
0:31
this Thursday morning I'm cold I can't
0:34
wait for spring I really can't wait for
0:35
spring I'm tired of winter man I I gotta
0:37
say we got more snow yesterday I'm just
0:40
so tired of it I can't wait for spring I
0:42
was going to say Spring ball but now
0:44
Ohio State canceled their spring game so
0:46
maybe Matt rule doesn't look like such
0:49
an as some of you like to think
0:51
and uh yeah so um but yeah yeah I
0:56
thought that that was interesting that
0:57
Matt rule got a lot of um a lot of crap
1:00
for that uh you know decision not to
1:02
have the spring game and I don't like I
1:04
said then I think it's going to be uh a
1:05
pretty common thing in in the college
1:07
sports moving forward so we'll uh we'll
1:09
see how that um you know happens with
1:11
more spring games but as far as tonight
1:14
a huge basketball game for the Nebraska
1:16
Corin Huskers they've uh you know been
1:18
on the four game uh winning streak they
1:20
got themselves to six and seven in the
1:22
Big 10 and um another ranked opponent
1:24
now coming into the Vault um in Maryland
1:26
a team that Nebraska lost you know on
1:29
the road that was a close kind of
1:30
competitive game um not going to have
1:33
berky uh bu konsil tonight he's did make
1:36
some progress Fred hyberg said yesterday
1:38
but obviously not enough so um he'll be
1:40
out tonight so that's it's going to be
1:42
interesting to see um you know what Fred
1:44
hyberg does with the lineup I mean he's
1:46
tried a bunch of different combinations
1:48
I thought they found something with
1:49
berky playing the five so who do you
1:52
think is going to take his spot in the
1:53
lineup tonight
1:56
oh I mean okay so my initial thought was
2:01
maybe Andrew Morgan would get some more
2:02
playing time I don't know if that's a
2:05
viable possibility then you and
2:07
then maybe Andrew Morgan and then you
2:11
have also Brax and me probably getting
2:13
more minutes so I think it's gonna be
2:15
Morgan because honestly I've been
2:16
impressed with how he's been able to
2:18
make an impact in the in the minutes
2:20
that he has had but uh no berky hurts
2:22
especially because he just came off a
2:25
career game on Sunday against Ohio State
2:27
he was three for six from three-point
2:29
range 15 points I think it was so I mean
2:32
this is this is a loss but um hopefully
2:35
he can bounce back sooner rather than
2:38
later yeah that's that was disappointing
2:41
because berky does have a lot of talent
2:43
and um you know he had found he had a
2:45
few games like that but I definitely
2:47
thought that was his best game on both
2:49
ends of the floor um it's interesting
2:51
that you mention Andrew Morgan because
2:52
looking back at that first game against
2:54
Maryland he did play pretty well um
2:56
actually came off the bench and um made
2:58
Seven of 12 field gos had 177 points I
3:01
remember he scored I think 12 points in
3:03
the first half like he yeah came off the
3:06
bench and you know really did a good job
3:08
scoring the ball inside so um you know
3:10
it'll be interesting to see if they go
3:12
that route again with Andrew Morgan I
3:13
think defensively he offers a little
3:15
more movement than Braxton May although
3:17
he doesn't offer the rim protection that
3:19
may does so and and Braxton you know you
3:22
got to give him credit I think you he
3:24
hit some big free throws the other night
3:25
he only played like seven or eight
3:26
minutes but you know for a guy who you
3:29
know basically had his starting role or
3:30
or his role within the rotation taken
3:32
away um to come back and you know when
3:34
he's called upon to answer like that
3:36
that tells you a lot about a person I
3:37
think when they go through some
3:39
adversity and they still you know in The
3:40
Limited opportunities they have they
3:42
take advantage of it that tells you
3:43
about him so if he gets a chance tonight
3:45
I think he'll be ready to go I think
3:46
they said he made he made more free
3:49
throws in the first half against Ohio
3:51
State than he had the entire season so
3:53
may was ready to go on Sunday and uh you
3:56
know that does say a lot about the
3:57
person because he could have easily been
3:59
disappointed Ed and upset and sulky
4:02
about having a reduced role but he came
4:04
in and he stepped up and I know people
4:06
have given him Flack and I know his game
4:08
has been frustrating to watch at times
4:10
but I thought Sunday was a game where he
4:12
really showed what he could do and uh he
4:15
really made a positive impact and you
4:18
know really contributed in a huge
4:20
way and um you know Marilyn's an
4:23
interesting uh Team you know very
4:25
defensive minded team um you know they
4:28
like to force a lot of a lot lot of
4:29
turnovers um they they throw different
4:31
looks at you you know they might press
4:33
they force um 12 turnovers per game uh
4:36
which is one of the best rates in the
4:38
Big 10 I think they're third in the Big
4:39
10 in turnover Sports they actually are
4:42
second in Block shots too 4.8 per game
4:45
Derek Queen blocking shots he averages
4:47
one um Julian ree averages 1.5 both of
4:50
those guys are uh you know two of their
4:52
big scores too Derek Queen the 610
4:54
Center um you know Julian Reese 59 and
4:57
that's that's one thing about this uh
4:59
Maryland team is you know it's maybe you
5:02
could get away with playing Gary some at
5:04
the four um but they are a little bit of
5:06
a bigger lineup so you might even have
5:08
to see um and Fred mentioned this a
5:10
little bit in his press conference on
5:12
Wednesday but the big big lineup and I
5:13
think by that he means um you know
5:15
Andrew Morgan and Braxton so I think
5:17
there's a chance just based on who
5:19
Maryland is that Nebraska's gonna have
5:20
to go with those guys a little bit more
5:22
than they have played that sort of
5:23
lineup recently and I like that lineup
5:26
for this matchup because they're long
5:27
and they're athletic and um
5:30
you know I did have my reservations
5:33
initially about putting you know a guy
5:35
like Sam hyberg in the starting lineup
5:36
but I think it's paid off because
5:38
although he can't although he's
5:40
necessarily not a consistent shooter he
5:42
does bring that defensive Edge so I bet
5:45
you we see a lot of him tonight as well
5:47
yep and uh you know Raleigh Worster has
5:49
been playing well again it's like I've
5:52
said though it's to me this comes down
5:54
to Bryce Williams and Joan Gary like
5:56
kind of setting the tone and I really I
5:58
know Bryce has been scoring incredibly
6:00
and has been playing like a first team
6:01
all big 10 guy but I really I I've said
6:04
it a million times to me this this run a
6:06
lot of this run has been about Jawan
6:07
Gary and he sets the tone for this team
6:10
and um you know like I want to see him
6:12
go out and like make a statement early
6:13
slam dunk steal like whatever like I
6:16
just felt I feel like you know when he's
6:17
playing well this team plays well um
6:19
Nebraska is a one and a half Point
6:21
favorite um you know 730 Central Time
6:24
Big 10 Network so this is a really big
6:26
game you look at the latest Bracketology
6:28
updates Nebraska is still moving
6:30
they're basically the seventh to last
6:32
team in the tournament according to ESPN
6:34
so a win here this would be their sixth
6:36
quad one Victory he would also set a
6:38
program record for top 25 wins so um
6:41
with all that said Nebraska one and a
6:43
half Point favorite what's your
6:44
prediction Danny who you who you got
6:46
tonight well I think for me one of the
6:48
big things is going to you know make
6:50
sure or you know kind of hope that Juan
6:54
Gary doesn't get in foul trouble because
6:56
we saw when he got into a little bit of
6:57
foul trouble on Sunday and then had to
6:59
take him out of the game uh the kind of
7:03
Mojo the offensive Mojo and the
7:05
offensive Tempo dropped off a little bit
7:07
so as long as he doesn't get into foul
7:09
trouble early I see Nebraska being
7:11
competitive in this game at home I see
7:15
Nebraska
7:18
7774 I'm uh yeah I think you know Andrew
7:21
Morgan I think will will uh get the job
7:23
done tonight and get some buckets inside
7:25
he'll kind of help fill that void
7:27
Maryland does allow 51% on two Point
7:30
attempts so if Nebraska can get the ball
7:31
inside you know that's somewhere they
7:33
can take advantage Maryland does have
7:34
pretty good three-point defense but um
7:37
Nebraska you know just shoots well in
7:39
the vault a lot of times they didn't
7:40
shoot great yes on uh on uh you know the
7:44
last game yeah on Monday um I mean I
7:46
thought they missed some shots that they
7:47
could have made that could have kind of
7:48
extended that game a little bit easier
7:50
but um you know Bryce Williams really
7:52
delivered when he needed to um and I
7:53
feel like there's going to be one of
7:55
these games where you know some of these
7:57
guys like Sam and you know Gary and wers
8:00
like some of these other role players
8:01
like start hitting some of these threes
8:03
Conor isan y you know and that's like
8:06
has nothing to do with with analysis I
8:08
just feel like you know this Nebraska's
8:11
going to get hot tonight and I think
8:12
they're going to win this game I'm gonna
8:14
say
8:15
7972 and then five quad one wins as you
8:18
mentioned I mean this would be six
8:20
they've already got five so this would
8:21
be six so so this would be six and so I
8:25
said uh something on on one of my pages
8:28
I said if they won against Ohio State
8:30
they were in and people disagreed with
8:32
me which was fair because I still think
8:33
they have a little bit of you know room
8:35
to go but if they win tonight given
8:38
their six quad one wins do you think
8:41
that's enough to make the NCA tournament
8:43
I know there's more games to play and
8:45
yada yada yada but now they have an even
8:47
stronger
8:48
resume um I still think they have to I
8:51
still think they have to get you know
8:52
two more in conference but I think they
8:53
have to get nine at least be nine and 11
8:55
in the Big 10 I think uh if they do that
8:58
though I'm pretty confident if they win
9:00
tonight um and with another win or two
9:02
because then they would have like seven
9:03
or eight so I still think they have a
9:05
couple more after tonight but they're
9:06
definitely going to be in a much much
9:08
better position if they can beat
9:09
Maryland say what you want about Fred
9:11
hyberg but he knows how to beat good
9:14
teams and I know his his uh strategies
9:16
at times may be frustrating but when
9:19
they find their magic they find their
9:20
magic and uh that's what that's what
9:23
made the six game losing streak so
9:24
frustrating but I'm happy they figured
9:26
it out especially defensively I think
9:28
they've played a lot better for the most
9:29
part like you said on Sunday they gave
9:31
up some open looks from three but um at
9:34
the uh at the same time um you know I
9:38
think they're finding they're finding
9:39
their groove and also shout out to Yukon
9:41
a New England school for uh coming into
9:44
kraton and uh destroying the jce so yeah
9:47
that was uh that was that was fun to see
9:49
um I didn't mind uh Danny Danny Hurley I
9:52
love Danny Hurley I know I know he rubs
9:54
people the wrong way sometimes but I
9:56
would love to play for him he there's
9:58
nobody that wouldn't want him is their
9:59
coach too so yeah know that's like uh
10:01
anyway but um all right let's switch
10:03
over to some recruiting nuggets there's
10:05
a lot of things happening on the
10:06
recruiting Trail which I know it's kind
10:08
of hard to keep up on and it feels like
10:10
we're just moving into 2026 but um at
10:12
any rate a fourstar uh commitment
10:15
cornerback commitment jont tavius Wyman
10:17
is uh has been committed to Georgia and
10:19
he does have an official visit now
10:20
scheduled with Nebraska also Miami um
10:23
this isn't going to be happening until
10:25
like June I believe but still um to get
10:27
him on campus they also just had Jordan
10:29
Campbell the four-star linebacker
10:31
committed to Miami and he you know also
10:33
did a recent interview after his visit
10:35
and spoke very highly of Nebraska said
10:37
Nebraska was basically near the top and
10:39
getting serious consideration so um you
10:42
know what do you think about uh some of
10:44
those moves and some of the other things
10:45
Nebraska is doing on the recruiting
10:46
Trail I feel like Philip Simpson is a
10:50
big reason why Nebraska is involved with
10:52
a lot of these prospects in Florida and
10:53
that's a good thing I mean they're
10:55
they're sticking their claim in Florida
10:57
I know Matt rues IAL you know recruiting
11:00
area was Texas but I feel like they've
11:03
they've started to focus more on Georgia
11:06
and Florida and you know when you look
11:07
at high school talent to me Georgia and
11:09
Florida are the two are the two best
11:12
states and I understand Texas is huge
11:14
and has a lot of talent as well but uh
11:16
Georgia and Florida are hot beds and um
11:19
Nebraska is trying to take advantage of
11:21
that and so Jordan Campbell I mean we
11:23
were just talking before this he's a
11:26
tremendous athlete a tremendous
11:27
linebacker and you Campbell to this
11:30
linebacker room I mean man you got
11:33
Christian Jones Dawson Merritt Jordan
11:35
Campbell I mean that's probably one of
11:38
the best linebacker rooms in the Big
11:40
10 yeah for sure and um it's going to be
11:43
interesting you know like you said
11:45
Philip Simpson has made a huge
11:46
difference um you know we've seen that
11:48
with Jamar mosy and some of these other
11:49
um you know recruiting hires so Nebraska
11:52
is really doing I think a good job
11:54
recruiting is kind of interesting and
11:56
seems like they're focusing a little
11:58
beyond the St Nebraska right now I don't
12:00
know if that's you know planned or if
12:01
it's just kind of the way that that
12:03
class is I mean the 2026 class in the
12:05
state doesn't look quite as strong as
12:07
some of the recent ones so you know that
12:09
might that might have something to do
12:11
with it but um yeah I mean a lot of
12:13
really guys like we we just mentioned
12:14
you know Jabari Brady you know visited
12:16
recently um you know another super
12:18
talented receiver he's ranked 78th
12:20
overall um according to on three and um
12:23
the big offensive tackle Kevin abot
12:25
really like him um I like where Nebraska
12:28
is with Claude UA we don't really know
12:31
his we forgot to pronounce his name but
12:33
um a lot of these guys Ryan Mosley um
12:36
from uh Georgia Carolton Georgia um
12:38
another guy that they're in the mix with
12:39
he's going to take he visited he's going
12:41
to take an official visit Lincoln
12:43
Watkins who just visited he got put put
12:45
Nebraska in his top seven a tight end so
12:48
a lot of these guys that just visited
12:50
for you know Junior Day Nebraska's
12:52
either getting them back for official
12:54
visits getting into their top you know
12:55
five seven 10 whatever making a lot of
12:58
positive progress positive gains I would
13:00
say in the 2026 class already and I know
13:03
a lot of people were worried about you
13:04
know the spring game affecting
13:06
recruiting but I think it puts more
13:07
emphasis on the junior days and things
13:09
like that and I think Nebraska did a
13:11
really good job of making a strong
13:12
impression um a couple weeks ago at
13:15
their junior day and now we're starting
13:17
to see it pay
13:18
off and uh yeah a lot of um a lot of
13:22
really interesting targets it seems like
13:24
they're really focused on that offensive
13:26
tackle position and you know that makes
13:27
sense after you you know they've missed
13:29
on you know like Sanders and Brandon
13:31
Baker and all those guys over these past
13:32
couple of classes so it'd be nice if
13:34
they could get in early with one of
13:36
these guys and uh you know the two
13:38
tackles I just mentioned um Kelvin obad
13:41
is 119th overall according to on three
13:43
um UA is 182 um from Chicago um obot is
13:48
from fruit Fruitland Idaho which is
13:50
interesting you don't see a lot of uh
13:52
you know Nebraska recruiting a ton of
13:53
guys from Idaho although they have been
13:54
recruiting Matt lewick from Montana as
13:56
well um in the 2026 class although it
13:58
seems like they've dropped off a little
14:00
bit in that recruitment so yeah um which
14:04
is I think a little bit interesting
14:06
seems like Texas Tech is Texas Tech and
14:08
Michigan are the two teams kind of
14:09
trending up there um Garrett
14:12
Maguire yeah Garrett McGuire well I
14:14
think it's also I did see Garrett
14:15
McGuire actually made his way to
14:16
Billings Montana which was kind of funny
14:18
Chiron Moore did as well the same day
14:20
actually for the same for the same high
14:22
school basketball game in Billings
14:24
Montana you had Chiron Moore and a few
14:26
Michigan assistants and then you had
14:28
Joey Maguire Garrett McGuire obviously
14:30
and then some of the Texas Tech guys so
14:31
wow that's good company that must have
14:33
been really exciting yeah that must have
14:34
been crazy for that that kid you know I
14:36
mean there's probably 500 people in this
14:38
gym you know like the Montana high
14:39
school basketball game you know
14:41
like so that's pretty that's awesome
14:44
pretty crazy but um so I don't know if
14:46
it's going to be what I think it's going
14:48
to come down to is like if Texas Tech
14:50
can pay more than Michigan thinks that
14:52
position is worth because I know
14:54
Michigan could match it but like
14:56
Michigan is taking a very approach like
14:58
NFL approach like like like Nebraska
15:00
we're not going to pay you know past a
15:02
certain point at certain positions
15:04
whereas Texas Tech I don't think they
15:06
care because they're just so desperate
15:07
to land any type of Blue Chip Talent so
15:10
yeah I mean I mean really they'll throw
15:12
money at anybody so I mean that's uh so
15:15
we we'll see we'll see if Matt lwig
15:17
wants to be you know developed or you
15:19
know follow kind of the Family Ties at
15:20
Nebraska or if he wants to take the
15:22
paycheck with Texas Tech I mean they I
15:24
mean Texas Tech had a pretty decent
15:25
transfer portal class this year too if
15:27
I'm not mistaken so
15:29
money that oil that oil Money Talks so
15:33
yeah um any rate so let's uh be more bit
15:37
of a quicker uh show today so let's go
15:39
to our last kind of segment some
15:40
interesting things happening around the
15:42
Big 10 Matt Patricia um or Patricia
15:45
sorry I guess I mispronounced that for
15:47
some reason we always end up talking
15:48
about the Patriots in this podcast but
15:51
uh Patricia yeah this probably is the
15:54
most legitimate one though since uh
15:56
Patricia is going to be coaching the
15:57
Ohio State Defense next season and this
15:59
is interesting because you have um a lot
16:03
of Michigan fans poking fun there's a
16:05
lot of big 10 fans even um you know
16:07
poking fun of it I saw you know the
16:09
Husker corner site I kind of you know
16:11
did a post about it as well um but I
16:13
don't think that Matt patri is going to
16:15
be that bad I actually think this is a
16:16
pretty smart hire um yeah you know when
16:19
he was in his Heyday with Bill belch
16:21
they put together some really good
16:22
defenses and the thing about it is like
16:24
this guy's going to have talent to work
16:25
with so I think people are going to be
16:27
eating some Crow on this higher in a
16:28
couple couple years yeah I mean it was
16:31
kind of funny watching people poke fun
16:34
because Matt Patricia in 2021 was given
16:38
the dubious honor of being Bill belich
16:41
sacrificial lamb offensively and I think
16:44
that clouded a lot of people's judgment
16:46
as to what he could do as a coach he's a
16:49
very good defensive coordinator uh he's
16:51
very sound in terms of his schemes he
16:54
was part of three Super Bowl teams he
16:56
held the defensive coordinator position
16:58
for the Patriots from 2012 to 2017 so
17:02
you know I I get people might be poking
17:04
fun of him because of what he did
17:05
offensively uh towards the end of his
17:07
tenure with the Patriots but I really
17:09
don't think this is a bad hire at all
17:11
either and I think having that NFL
17:14
experience and the recent NFL experience
17:16
will be able to help in recruiting as
17:17
well yeah and I mean just you know he's
17:21
a really I think a really smart coach
17:23
and yeah like he didn't obviously have
17:25
success with the Eagles last year or
17:27
even you know when he was trying to be
17:28
like the Patriots offensive coordinator
17:30
like you said but trying being the
17:32
operative work yeah trying but you know
17:35
it's not like he doesn't know how to
17:36
coach and I know that a lot of people
17:38
want to criticize bill bich but I still
17:40
think he's one of the greatest defensive
17:41
Minds in the history of the game and uh
17:43
there's a reason that you know people
17:45
wanted to hire um you know Matt Patricia
17:48
and you know he did take the Lions to a
17:50
winning season I mean I know that his
17:52
tenure there ended in disaster but like
17:54
they did have some success there and you
17:56
know the fact is if he was ever going to
17:58
get his career turned around this is
18:00
probably a really smart hire because
18:01
like he's got the guys to do it he's
18:03
going to have to adjust to to the
18:04
college game but I've always said what
18:07
what does a good defensive coordinator
18:08
in college need to do confuse the
18:10
quarterback and um Matt Patricia is
18:12
going to be able to do that so I think I
18:14
think this is a better higher than most
18:15
people think yeah and you know honestly
18:18
there's a lot of really good
18:19
coordinators that failed to be head
18:20
coaches or whatever I mean you look at
18:22
Rex Ryan I mean sure he wasn't the best
18:24
head coach but I would take him as a
18:26
defensive coordinator in a heartbeat you
18:27
know same thing with his brother
18:29
and uh Rob Ryan so you know I I think
18:32
this is a really good hire I know people
18:34
were poking fun but I from a football
18:36
standpoint I think Ryan day got
18:39
something here uh with Patricia yeah I
18:42
do too um and you know it's just it's
18:44
really interesting and I've tried to you
18:46
know caution the Michigan people against
18:48
this but you know being happy about Ryan
18:50
day doing his extension well you know
18:51
who did that Ohio State fans celebrated
18:54
when Jim Harbaugh signed his extension
18:55
and how did that work out so it's like
18:57
it's just interesting when rival fans
18:59
you know kind of celebrate and cheer
19:00
stuff like this they don't always end up
19:01
being correct so um I think that Ohio
19:04
state is going to be just fine on
19:05
defense um and uh at any rate the other
19:08
thing we wanted to mention is Scott
19:10
Frost had a little Signing Day uh
19:12
shindig about uh UCF and took a little
19:14
dig at at uh Scott at um Trev Alberts
19:17
basically saying you know he didn't get
19:18
the support that he needed and uh you
19:20
know I've had my issues with Trev
19:22
Alberts but I don't know that a lack of
19:23
um support from the athletic department
19:25
was the issue with Scott Frost I have to
19:27
say
19:29
not the entire issue but when you look
19:31
at the 1890 and the lack of support uh
19:34
Trev Alberts put towards it compared to
19:36
what T compared what Troy Dannon uh is
19:39
doing now um I could definitely see it I
19:42
mean two things can be true both guys
19:45
can be jackasses and I think this is the
19:48
case there um so you know I I can see
19:53
where the lack of support could be a
19:55
thing because it seemed like we really
19:56
had to pull teeth again with the ni and
19:59
then he kind of Alberts kind of wanted
20:01
to fund his own passion projects or
20:02
whatever so I don't think that's
20:04
necessarily necessarily you know in an
20:07
inaccurate thing but at the same time
20:09
Scott Scott Frost made his bed at
20:12
Nebraska and he had to lay in it by
20:16
being fired so I think it was just uh
20:19
two people who were in over their heads
20:21
and are now off to greener pastures for
20:23
both of them yeah I mean because it
20:25
should I mean Scott was 12 and 20 before
20:28
Trevor even you know took over the job
20:30
so I mean yeah but but yeah they're
20:32
definitely uh Troy Dan I think has
20:35
definitely been a much better you know
20:36
for nil um you know on the athletic
20:39
department side of things and you know
20:40
he seems more focused on winning than
20:42
becoming you know SEC commissioner Big
20:44
10 commissioner college football
20:46
commissioner someday which if you want
20:47
to be college football or SEC
20:49
commissioner you you you kind of have to
20:51
you kind of have to uh not be too
20:53
pleased with all these people calling
20:55
you out because Frost is not the only
20:57
one yeah no and and it's yeah it's just
21:00
it's really it's really interesting the
21:02
you know the way that Trev Alberts has
21:03
been portrayed since he's left Nebraska
21:05
I don't know if that was the best move
21:07
for him uh you know personally but we'll
21:08
see I mean at least you know in terms of
21:09
the pr I'm sure he's getting a fat
21:11
paycheck and all that stuff but uh we'll
21:13
see how it all works out um it's going
21:16
to be fascinating to see how Scott Frost
21:17
works out at UCF but I mean I think I
21:20
don't think he's gonna have the same
21:21
success he had the first time but it
21:23
wouldn't surprise me if they if they had
21:24
winning records and he's I think he's
21:26
going to do a nice job there in the Big
21:28
12 so you talk about Matt Patricia kind
21:30
of you know uh you know kind of jump
21:33
starting his career again Scott Frost if
21:35
he has a good season uh could do the
21:38
same so good couple Seasons not just one
21:40
good season but um you know I I I I wish
21:44
the best for Scott Frost not GNA say the
21:46
same about Trev Alberts but Scott Frost
21:48
I think he is a talented football coach
21:50
and he was just in way over his head
21:52
here and um yeah no I'm excited for the
21:55
Scott Frost b b matchup this season
21:58
that's something about watching yeah not
22:00
not something that was on my bingo card
22:01
going into the season so um no but uh I
22:05
just saw that he signed belich uh just
22:08
got just got legera Blunt's son to
22:10
commit and that made me feel old because
22:12
I remember legera blunt back in the day
22:14
as a as a Workhorse running back for the
22:16
Patriots and for Oregon but uh yeah no
22:19
it's going to be interesting like the
22:21
this landscape of college football is
22:22
going to be very very
22:25
interesting yeah things have uh
22:27
definitely changed a lot you you know
22:28
you got Rich Rod back um so yeah you
22:31
know at West Virginia Scott Frost Bill
22:33
bich uh going to be a lot of interesting
22:35
things um should know before uh we go
22:38
baseball is starting this weekend
22:39
starting Friday against UC Irvine
22:42
they've got a top 25 matchup against
22:43
Vanderbilt on Sunday or Saturday excuse
22:45
me that'll be on MLB TV so if you want
22:48
to catch out catch the Huskers baseball
22:50
team you'll get a chance this week um
22:53
softball back at it too and a big game
22:55
tonight for Nebraska women's basketball
22:57
they are on the bub they're in a worse
22:59
situation than the men they're playing
23:00
at Maryland um that's actually before
23:03
the men's game on Big 10 Network so if
23:04
you want a Nebraska basketball double
23:06
dip watch The Women First followed by
23:08
the men both teams Des desperately uh
23:10
need a win so um at any rate you guys
23:13
thanks for joining us here today um like
23:14
