“Maybe if I was a truck he would care I was broken…” That’s not attitude

“Maybe if I was a truck he would care I was broken…” That’s not attitude. That’s what feeling invisible sounds like. A lot of men are trying right now. They’re showing up the only way they know how—by fixing, solving, staying calm, giving space. And it’s still not working. Because this is the part no one teaches you: When she’s overwhelmed, in pain, and doesn’t feel like herself… she’s not looking for solutions first. She’s looking to feel seen. And when that piece is missing, everything you do—even with good intentions—can feel like distance to her. That’s where the disconnect starts. You try → she shuts down → you pull back or try harder → she feels more alone. Repeat that long enough and it stops feeling like a rough season… And starts feeling like you’re losing each other. If you’ve ever thought: “I love her… I just don’t know how to reach her right now” You’re not alone. But there is a shift that changes everything.
