Let's be real, okay? One of the biggest headaches with AI-generated videos is keeping characters
0:05
looking the same from scene to scene. Everything seems fine, and then bam, your main character
0:10
suddenly transforms into a completely different person. Annoying, right? AI-driven storytelling is taking over social media, pulling in millions of views, and pushing
0:21
creative limits. But behind every viral success is the same persistent challenge. Character
0:26
consistency. Tools like Midjourney and Leonardo AI can help maintain a character's look to some
0:33
extent, but the moment you introduce a second character or switch camera angles, things start
0:39
falling apart. So how do we actually fix this? That's exactly what we're diving into today
0:45
You'll learn how to keep AI-generated characters looking the same across all your scenes using
0:50
Design AI. First, let's talk about the tool we're using. Design AI is an all-in-one platform packed
0:56
with features like text to video, image to video, and AI portrait filters. But today
1:02
we're focusing on one game-changing tool, consistent character creation. With it, you can
1:08
design a character, train the AI to recognize them, and ensure they stay visually stable across
1:13
multiple scenes. Sounds exciting? Then hit that like button and let's get started
1:19
Before generating visuals, we need a solid story. Let's ask ChatGPT. Create a short adventure story
1:25
featuring two kids. Once we have the basic storyline, we'll break it down scene by scene
1:31
and extract detailed character descriptions to keep them visually consistent. With those ready
1:37
it's time to open Design AI. Once you're in, create an account and start a new project
1:44
Let's name it Consistent Character 1. Choose an aspect ratio 16 to 9 works best for a cinematic
1:50
feel. Inside the editor, look for the character feature in the menu. Now, let's design our
1:56
character Click on the character sheet and head to the style section You see options like realistic cozy 3D 3D rendered and tuned portraits Let go with design 3D render for a balanced look
2:10
Now, describe your character in detail. For example, a young girl with expressive eyes, wavy brown hair, and a ponytail wearing a pink and purple dress
2:20
Choose 16 to 9. Hit generate and boom. Now, we've got multiple angles of our character
2:28
Pick your favorite images and download it. If the quality drops, no worries, just upscale the image to enhance it
2:35
Next, download the image. Now, let's train our AI model. Go to Consistent Character, click Choose Character, and select New Character
2:43
Name your model, let's call her Sarah. Upload your images, and click Train
2:48
This process takes about 30 to 40 minutes. Once done, Design AI will generate a character prompt like
2:55
Sarah, pastel, pink colored clothing, pigtails, and big brown eyes. Now, anytime we create a scene, Sarah will look exactly the same
3:03
With our train character ready, let's put her into action. Select the train model and enter a scene prompt, like Sarah is riding a bicycle
3:11
Choose 16.9, you can click on camera, and choose the character direction, for example
3:17
front view, back view, or left view. This will create our character in that direction and hit generate
3:23
And just like that, we have consistently created our character riding a bike, click on the download button, upscale the image for better quality, and download it
3:33
Now let's talk about the insert character feature. This tool lets you either replace an existing character in an image or add a new one to an empty area
3:43
There are two ways to use this feature. First, make sure you already have an image on your canvas
3:48
Then on the left side of the screen click on character to find the insert character option
3:53
And the second method is even easier if you're working with images created using a consistent character
3:59
You see an insert character button right below the image clicking this will automatically open the insert character interface Let try the second method first We need to create a new character to do that click on the character sheet and follow the same steps we used before to make our first character
4:15
This time, let's create a black boy with dreadlocks. Paste the prompt into the tool
4:20
and once the boy is generated, upscale and download the image. Next, go to the consistent
4:31
character section, click choose a character, then select new character. Let's give him a name
4:37
Dan. Upload the image of the boy we just created, then click train. Once Dan is trained
4:47
we're ready to use him. Now we'll show how the insert character tool works by creating an image
4:52
with multiple characters. Our goal is to make an image of Sarah and Dan playing together
4:56
To start, generate an image of Sarah playing with a boy using a prompt
5:11
This will give you a picture of Sarah and a random boy. We'll then replace the random boy with Dan
5:20
Once the image is ready, click Insert Character in the results panel
5:25
This will take you to the insert character interface and the image will appear on the canvas
5:29
Now, draw a mask over the area where you want to insert Dan. The inserted character will try to fit into this masked space, so draw the mask to match the size and pose you want
5:40
In this case, we'll mask the area covering the boy. You can use the lasso, brush, or auto-select tool to create the mask
5:47
We recommend using the lasso tool and slightly going beyond the character's edges for better results
5:53
Next, select Dan as your character. In the Character Description box, Design will autofill
5:59
details about Dan. In the Character Action and Scene box, describe what Dan should be
6:04
doing Be clear mention things like body movement position e full body shot front view profile view and direction e facing left or right For example I added that Dan should be holding a water jug and watering flowers Click Generate to create the new image
6:24
When it's done, click Download to save it. The final image should look great, almost like magic
6:32
Now let's try a second example, inserting a character into an existing image
6:36
First, upload the image where you want to place your character. Use the lasso brush to outline the spot where Dan will go
6:45
Then choose Dan and describe the action and scene. For this example, let's have Dan riding a bicycle
6:51
Finally, click Generate to insert him into the image. That's it. Dan is now part of the scene
6:58
What if we want to bring our image to life by turning it into a video
7:01
Well design makes this super easy. take our last image of Sarah and Dan playing and turn it into a video. To do this, click on AI
7:10
Video. Design supports different video types including image to video, lip sync text to video
7:17
It also includes a standard video editor plus advanced AI video tools like Kling AI
7:22
Haleuo AI, Luma, and Runway ML. With Design AI, you get access to all the top video editors all in
7:29
one place. For this example, let's use the standard option. Type your video idea into the text prompt
7:39
box, choose the video duration, and click generate. In just 5 to 10 minutes, your video will be ready
7:47
Let's check out the final result. Isn't it cool? AI-generated videos are the future, but character
7:53
consistency has always been a problem until now. With Design AI, you can generate, refine
7:59
and animate characters without losing their identity. Give it a shot and let me know how
8:03
it works for you. See you in the next one. Don't forget, if you found this video helpful
