Air Jordan 4 Raptors | How Many Pairs Made | Market Value
2 views
Feb 20, 2025
The Air Jordan 4 Raptors will officially release on August the 18th; the shoes were inspired by the Raptors’s uniform/logo colors. They feature a premium black nubuck upper with purple highlights on the midsole, tongue and heel panel. I thought the shoes were supposed to be a quick strike until I took a look at Footlocker launch locator. I decided to take a different route today to figure out the number of pairs available in the US market. Basically what I’ll do is go state by state and provide you with the number of stores per state; the only challenge would be to come up with a number of pairs per store

Hey what's up guys this is Tait from As the Kicks and we're live now it's um right like 7.38
0:07
and I just wanted to do this on video for you real quick the rap for us coming out on
0:14
Saturday right and I'm sure some of you guys are trying to figure out how many um if you're
0:20
you'll be able to get the shoe so I kind of do this slides for you and and trying to see if I
0:25
can find a way to help you figure out you know how many pairs Nike made and is it worth it for you to
0:30
to pay a resale for it or wait until the should actually drop
0:34
So that's the reason why I do this kind of stuff. I'm not claiming that this is accurate
0:39
but it's just a way to try and come up with an estimate. So I will share my screen, and then we're going to go from there
0:45
All right. So let's get to real quick. So the first thing is people want to know what the shoe looks like, right
0:51
So I apologize for the fact that I did not prepare for it
0:56
So they're just going on end clothing and then sheeted picture. they have, I'll just do that for you real quick
1:03
I like the way to take the picture, so that's what I'm going on their website. So, let's see
1:12
Taking a little bit of, okay. All right, this is the shoe here
1:18
Nice looking shoe is all black. It's going to be probably one of those that people want
1:26
Because, you know, it's a conservative color, you know, black and a little bit of purple. It was inspired by the Toronto Raptors
1:32
Jersey uniform. It comes with a speck with meat sole. And Fores are always a good shoe
1:38
You know what I'm saying? You got a netting over there. The little tag that comes with it
1:42
And new buck material, really smooth. On the back, the jump red is purple
1:47
Purple meat sole and a little bit of red on the outsold and stuff like that
1:51
But that's what the shoe looks like now. People are trying to figure out how many pairs Nike made, right
1:57
And so what I did is I just, I just made some assumption, and we're going to use this assumption to try and figure out what the number is, right
2:05
So let's get to it, and I'll get the first slide for you, and we can go from there
2:10
So the first assumption is the foot locker and its derivatives. When I say derivatives, I mean chimes and food action and East Bay and all that
2:19
they get about one-fourth of the entire inventory. That means if Nike produces a million pairs, foot-lock and all these other places will get about $250,000
2:28
Right? Simple math. Now, I say food action, James received by the same amount of what FTL is given, FTL is foot locker. So
2:36
the foot locker gets about 10 pairs I thinking champs food action and East Bay are probably going to get about 10 pair altogether Footloggers are like the Godfather And everybody else kind of depends on Footlock right Now I also thinking that Footlock Online receives about half of all the entire inventory
2:53
the physical locations are going to get. And now have the same initial assumption will apply to Food Action and Champs and East Bay Online as well
3:02
All right? So let's go on to the next slide and we'll see what's the next thing
3:06
Now, what I did this time is a little different. I actually went on the foot locker launch locator, and I went in per state
3:14
I tried to figure out how many shoes each state was getting. So it was a little bit of, it's a lot of work to do that kind of stuff, because it's not
3:23
the launch locator is not really accurate because they tell you sometimes seven, seven stars
3:28
and then you put like a city name, and there's a small star that are popping up
3:32
So this is not very accurate, but it gives you a picture, and that's what we're trying to
3:36
get it's an estimate, right? So Alabama is getting 11, Arizona is getting seven, California
3:41
10. I don't think California is getting 10. I'm thinking California's probably going to get like
3:45
probably 20 more stores are going to get it, right? Now, Colorado, six, Connecticut is like six. Delaware
3:52
is like two, Florida is 10, Georgia, Hawaii, 10, and two, Illinois, Indiana. Now, if she like
4:01
places like New York is probably has like 50 store, and in Texas, 30, 30, 30
4:06
You know, those are like big state where there's a lot of sneaker hairs there. So I'm sure Nike's going to give those places like First Dave's and stuff like that, right
4:16
And there's a lot of like hustle hoops in like those big cities. So big cities are always going to get
4:20
So you can always go back on my website. I actually put the, I'll show it to you
4:25
I wrote the entire thing here. You can go on a website and I see my disclaimer there
4:28
I said this is a rough estimate. So I may have missed a lot of places
4:32
But this is just a picture, all right? So that's what I did
4:36
And the next thing that we're going to do is we're going to try to figure out how many shoes each star is going to get
4:43
Now, most stars are like operating on the first come first served basis
4:48
That says a lot, man. Like if Nike is going to say
4:52
it's not going to be no raffle. It's not going to be first come, first served
4:56
I'm thinking each star is going to get between 30 or 36 or even sometimes some storm I get like 76
5:03
120 pairs like bigger bigger hustle who's going to get like probably 120 pairs so that's what I'm thinking so I just I just
5:10
say 30 plus to be fair all right and if that's the case
5:15
let's try to see how many pairs per store all you got to
5:19
just this my dogs are barking please forgive me for that so 302 stores all together times 36 pairs so that about 10 pairs And that just foot locker If I thinking Champs Champs Food Action we also get all together the same amount which is 10 872
5:40
So all three stores, which is foot action, Foot Locker, and Champs, that'll be 21,744 pairs
5:47
And that's just a physical location. So if you consider the online stores, you're going to divide this number
5:52
two, that's about 54, 37 for Footlocker, and therefore, FTA, champs in East Bay will get about the same amount, which is 54, 37
6:00
All together is 10, 872. And if you add all these numbers together, you are done to like 32,616, 6 per year
6:09
That's just for Footlocker. And that's a very conservative number, like I say. I'm thinking between 40 and 50K
6:15
I'm thinking Foot Locker and all these people, places got about 40,000 or 50,000 pairs
6:20
All right. Let's go into the next one. So next one, we're going to find the grand total
6:26
The grand total is everything put together. So my initial assumption was FTA, Champs, FTA, East Bay
6:34
received one for the grand total. So therefore, the grand total will be 32,606 times four
6:41
which is 130,4664. I'm sorry, 130,4164. And I think Nike will probably produce twice or twice as much
6:52
So Nike ain't going to just produce a little bit. So I'm thinking all together, to be honest, between 300,000 and 400,000 pairs
7:01
So let's stick with 300,000 pairs. So the consensus is 300,000 pairs that I'm thinking
7:07
All right. Now, to figure out, to come up with a, to, when I do these numbers
7:15
there's the reason why I do this numbers is I always look at the market value, because the market value is a good way to try and figure out whether the shoe is worth
7:21
buying for resale or waiting, right? Now, the market values, the shoes like 200 plus tax
7:29
That's how much it cost. Now, I checked on eBay, and there's one seller that was sending a shoe for $234
7:36
And that's very unlikely. He wasn't selling a fake one, but this is what happens
7:41
I wrote about it. Nike and the early release sneakers, a new twist to the story
7:45
You can actually go back and read the entire article. I talked about how resellers get access like shoe
7:51
early you know it's a little bit there's a little bit of some kind of a
7:55
shady thing going on there but I'm not gonna get into this you can you can click on this when you go on my website and read the entire article right but what we
8:02
try to do now is trying to figure out the number of the market value so what I did was I went and found the sales data from like different and I took a screenshot of it Now the shoes are selling between 274 and 299
8:17
That's my numbers. You can go on my website and read this, right? And when I included the screenshot to kind of solidify and then kind of back up my claims
8:27
and everything was between 275 and 299. So let's say, maybe like 285
8:33
Actually, while I'm doing this, I'm just going to go on the website and then
8:36
show to you. Let's go on Air Jordan 4 Raptors and we're going to we're going to check down
8:41
eBay real quick. We're going to see the sales that I've ended and we're going to while this
8:47
is happening, I'm not going to waste your time here. I'm going to go back on the, you know what
8:51
my computer is acting funny. But Starkex on Starkex, the current market value is 265 and 279 between
8:58
those two. So you can actually go and get the shoe for that much. So let's see. My screen is
9:03
finally up now. So I'm going to go up and then I'm going to try to. see the sold of these things here and see what happens
9:12
Okay. But so far, on Starkex, on StarCast is between 265 and 279
9:19
So anywhere between those two and then bigger sizes are probably going to sell for more
9:22
or less, like the more scarce the size, they higher the price
9:27
That's just simple math, right? Now, let's go back on here. Now, while this is happening, it's a great look at true, like I said
9:35
They would do well in the retail market. They will probably sell out within three or five days of them being dropped
9:41
But then I guess random sizes will still be available like in different places as they drop
9:46
But eventually the shoe is not going to last too long. And I'm going to, I guarantee you, like within three weeks or a month, this shoe is going to be, the price going to go up
9:55
Because the shoe that's a little rare. Yes, it's a as a GRR. It's not like, it's not really rich GR, GR, but it's going to be hard
10:02
It's not going to be too easy to get. but the price is going to jump up now I give you a bunch of links here where you can buy the shoe like Ayns SNS
10:10
Stark X finish line foot locker and actually this is no of my computers acting funny so I'm just going to go on footlocked and rock and and actually it's not working so I'm not going to waste my time on it
10:23
this is it guys I ain't got nothing else to say um this was uh this was it and thanks for watching
10:34
You can go and even check. Just see the last 20 listings on 40 and they do an average of how much the shoe selling for
10:40
Just make sure when you collect your data, you're taking data from like reputable sellers
10:48
You don't just want to include any seller there because you're selling fake. All right
10:52
Thanks for watching. This is time for my kicks. Stay tuned for more stuff
