Take a used box from your recycling bin
0:03
Start to detach the box by removing one of the interior flaps
0:07
Flip the box over and undo any tape sides of the box
0:11
Use scissors to cut and remove one of the shorter sides of the flaps for the box
0:16
Then cut the box open and remove one of the sides. Cut the cardboard sides so that you are able to fold and connect them back together
0:25
Add hot glue to one of the shorter sides and adhere the other part of the cut box
0:31
Keep adding hot glue to connect the other sides together. Place tape on the cut openings where glue was not added
0:39
Paint all of the sides using a couple of coats of white chalk paint
0:43
Spread on spackling for some design texture and to conceal any evidence that it's a cardboard box
0:50
Make sure to cover and coat the corners. Coat the box with a spackle on each side
0:55
Fill the vase with recycled bags for filler and add faux floral stems inside
1:01
And that's it. You now have a tall textured vase to enhance your home decor

I hope this encourages you to transform a cardboard box you have lying around into a chic vase for your space
