**Tiramisu**
**History:**
Tiramisu is a classic Italian dessert with origins in the Veneto region of Italy, particularly in the city of Treviso. Its name, "tiramisù," translates to "pick me up" or "cheer me up" in Italian, possibly referring to the energizing combination of coffee and cocoa used in the recipe. While the exact origins of Tiramisu are debated, it is believed to have been created in the 1960s or 1970s. Today, Tiramisu is a beloved dessert enjoyed worldwide, known for its creamy layers of mascarpone cheese, coffee-soaked ladyfingers, and dusting of cocoa powder.
**Ingredients:**
- 6 large egg yolks
- 3/4 cup (150 grams) granulated sugar
- 1 cup (240 ml) heavy cream
- 8 ounces (225 grams) mascarpone cheese, softened
- 1 cup (240 ml) brewed espresso or strong coffee, cooled
- 2 tablespoons coffee liqueur (optional)
- 24-30 ladyfinger cookies (savoiardi)
- Cocoa powder, for dusting
**Instructions:**
1. **Prepare the Mascarpone Mixture:**
