Sister Surprises Brother Who Was Being Bullied By Collecting Him From School In Limo
A loving sister gave her 12-year-old brother's school bullies "something to talk about" when she surprised her sibling by picking him up from school in a limo. Dakota Solano, from Albuquerque, New Mexico, had been having difficulties in middle school before a transfer, then saw him become the subject of bullying from his peers at his new school, his sister Destanie, 27, said. The bullying had an impact on Dakota, his sibling added, saying that his grades suffered, he gained weight and started to suffer from depression. Having heard about her brother's bullying, Destanie said she wanted to do something to boost Dakota’s spirits – and "give his bullies something to talk about" – and so she decided to plan a special surprise that would take place at his school gates. On Friday, March 28, Destanie, her husband and children hired a limo to take them to Dakota's school to pick him up. Having arrived early to get a good parking spot, Destanie exited the vehicle right on the bell, escorting her brother to his amazing ride in front of his peers. Along the way, Destanie captured her grateful sibling's stunned reaction, which evolved into joy as students in his school looked on in awe and came to check out the ride. Following the amazing surprise, Destanie compiled all the videos she took on the day into a story, which she then shared on social media. That clip soon went viral, which has since prompted positive discussions with Dakota's school about his bullying situation, Destanie said. The 27-year-old also said that she has since been contacted by the mayor of the local area of Rio Ranch, Greg Hull, who is interested in working with the family on an anti-bullying campaign.
