Place a guitar pick on the side of your index finger near the tip

Then, gently press your thumb down on the pick so it's slightly gripped between your thumb and the side of your index finger

Make sure a small part of the pick sticks out so you can easily strum the strings

It's important to find balance between a firm grip for control and a relaxed hold for fluidity

The angle of attack is crucial for different playing styles. For strumming, a slightly angled pick is effective

while a flatter angled pick is great for precise picking. Experiment and find what works best for you

For your remaining fingers, you can anchor your pinky or ring finger on the guitar for stability

or you can leave your hand floating. Find what feels comfortable and maintains your control
