F-35A Lightning II strike fighters from the 421st Fighter Squadron, launch and land at Nellis Air Force Base during exercise Red Flag 20-1, on February 7, 2020. Red Flag 20-1, from January 27 to February 15, is meant to give at least 10 combat-representative sorties to younger pilots to better prepare them for real combat against neer-peer adversaries.
