Most candy canes in a beard

I'm Joel Strasser. I'm here to break the Guinness World record for most candy canes in a beard

I hold the record right now. When I broke the record last year, I just wasn't satisfied with my performance. I knew that I could do a lot better

I had so many more, but I pushed it. So this time I came back, and I upped the bar a little bit

This is one of the toughest record attempts. Of the 17 Guinness World records I hold, this is top three as far as difficulty goes

The candy canes do not want to stay in the beard. I had to jump out the whole time and in fact I'd been working on it for about 20 minutes

and all of a sudden the whole thing just fell apart. They all just fell out everywhere

And I had to collect myself. I had to regroup

I'm starting over it looks like. Take two. Not only do the candy canes not want to stay in, they're really slick, but they break

They're brittle. And that causes problems. too, so I have to be super careful while I'm doing this

If too many of them break the whole thing is going to fall apart also In fact the Christmas tree behind me is completely full of the candy cages that were in my beard Most of them are broken now

Cut one and ten. Holding a Guinness World Record title is amazing and it never gets old. Every time I break a record

there's this huge sense of accomplishment. Every time the certificate comes in the mail and I get to

pop it in a frame and stick it on the wall. It's just a really cool feeling and never get tired of it. It's

something I always want to do more and more of. 10, 12, 18, 8, and 25 for an even

Two hundred. Carry the one. Two hundred. A new world record. I set the record with 200 candy canes in my beard, which is 13 more

than the previous record, which was also held by me. We're not done yet

17 records is a good amount, but I have more records in me
