It is not Elijah. She's Andy Miss P and
0:13
that is a piece of candy. You take that. Yeah
0:43
Um What just happened? Uh Max just broke the world record. The atmosphere was electric
0:49
Um Everybody knew uh that he broke the record and I think uh partially everybody was in shock
0:55
Um It's a record that has been long standing since uh for 4.5 years by Yu Sheng Dus uh 347
1:02
I'm not sure anybody thought that that record was ever gonna be broken. The
1:05
the Cuban world. It's been uh just nothing short of a static
1:09
I think everybody was uh really uh waiting to see who was gonna break that uh three by 343 47 record
1:16
Um uh When Max did it, I, I think everybody was very, very happy for him
1:20
It, it's really exciting anytime anybody breaks a record. So, uh but for the three by three single is sort of like the
1:27
the, the creme de la creme uh when that gets broken. Uh I think the whole Cuban community uh knows
1:33
Um Additionally, I think a lot of people uh uh that aren't in the Cuban community were generally really surprised and
1:39
and very excited. A lot of Max's fans um from the Netflix documentary
1:44
Uh They all reached out, emailed him or texted him or very
1:48
very happy for him. Um A few people said that they even cried
1:56
Basically, Max's Cuban career started to help him with his fine motor skills because he had uh fine motor skill problems as a young kid
2:04
with autism when he was 789 years old. So he couldn't like hold pennies or he couldn't open up a water bottle mean he couldn't
2:10
do anything with his fingers. The cube itself was just something that was going to be an exercise
2:16
Oh, what is it? 31 2nd. OK. We found out about the Cuban community
2:21
We decided to go there and exploit the Cuban community for social reasons
2:26
So we could work on Max's social cues. The second competition he ever went to
2:30
he won the six by six, which really took us all by prize. When you actually see the final podium
2:35
there's these two guys that look like they're in college and here's a little Max, he's like literally 4 ft underneath them
2:40
The cubing actually being good at cubing or solving cubes or the competitive aspect was never a component for us to get max involved with
