I love Crossy Road so much because there's a simple gameplay, which allows for

Morse Rio for the Mechanics. My name is Joshua Beasley and I hold the world record title for High Score on Crossy Road

I've been playing games as long as I can remember. I started playing Crossy Road in 2016, but I'm studying games design at university and I'd love

to work in the games industry. Crossy Road has a very simple gameplay loop, which means anyone of any age or ability can

understand and enjoy the game. I have a good understanding of car patterns and cycles which allows me to

make plans and cross the roads effectively. The game is easy early on but the fundamentals still

are higher scores. It's good to aim to stay within the middle as you have a greater build of view

and I can see the cars on both sides of the road. Generally when I'm playing I'm looking to see if

there's a gap between the cars I can make. When there are longer sections of the road I try to make sure I

have a plan of how I going to approach the road and what path I going to take before I reach it If there are lanes of road that are completely empty it means that a police car is about to come through so you should stay clear of that lane

Just before 9,000, I almost died when going from a log to a lane with a red truck

When I was playing, I miscounted the cycles, so the cars didn't line up

To save this, I had to go back onto the log and then forward again onto the red truck lane

I was very close to dying because the love almost went off the edge of the river

9,999 is the highest possible score to get in Crossy Road. Where someone else may break the record and stop, I keep pushing and keep breaking the record over and an hour

Ever since I started playing Crossy Road. Road in 2016, I've been aiming to break the world record. So when I finally did it, it was a huge achievement and I was very proud of myself
