Unlike so many reality shows, Deadliest Catch doesn't exploit or mock its subjects, and it doesn't thrive on forced drama or cast in-fighting. Instead, the series simply shows the lives of crab fishermen off the coast of the Aleutian Islands in Alaska, and all of the drama is very real.
