If you're in the market or just interested in pickup trucks in general, you probably
0:21
have asked yourself, what is the perfect truck? And you know, a lot of that is just personal preference, but the way vehicles are laid
0:29
out, the features they have, the things that they offer, the durability, the fuel economy
0:34
a lot of those things go into whether or not a vehicle or a truck is good and let alone perfect
0:42
So I know I'm Zane from GM-Trucks.com, but I'd like to make the argument that this Sierra
0:48
AT4 Carbon Pro Edition is in fact the perfect truck. And so if you bear with me, I'll tell you why
0:58
A perfect truck needs a modern interior, and the Sierra AT4 Carbon Pro not only has
1:06
the comfort, technology, and safety you'll need to drive it on a daily basis, but you're
1:12
going to love it at the same time. As far as comfort, this thing has a dual-zone climate control, heated and cooled seats
1:21
and a huge second row for all your kids, dogs, or anything else you want to put back there
1:28
And its technology credentials are off the charts. Not only are we looking at a almost full digital gauge cluster, but we have a heads-up display
1:39
a six-camera system that gives us surround-view monitors, including a bed-view camera and
1:45
a rear-view camera mirror, but also a full infotainment system that's Android Auto and
1:52
Apple CarPlay compatible. And this Sierra's safety credentials are impressive as well
1:58
Not only does it have full adaptive cruise control with automatic emergency braking
2:04
but it also is equipped with rear cross-traffic alert and blind-spot monitoring
2:10
So you can drive this AT4 every day and feel safe and secure, and know that it's looking
2:17
out for you at every moment. And on top of all that, if you're like me and you gotta have your tunes while you're
2:25
driving down the road to work, it also comes with a premium Bose sound system and a wireless
2:32
device charger to keep your cell phone topped off no matter where you're headed to
2:44
To me, the perfect truck needs to have at least some amount of off-roading skills
2:50
Now I'm not talking about going down the Rubicon Trail, we'll leave that one up to
2:55
the Hummer EV. But if you bought a truck and it can't at least go down a dirt road or an abandoned
3:02
trail because you're afraid that you'll scrape the undercarriage or chip your paint, well
3:08
you might as well have gone out and purchased a crossover. So thankfully, the Sierra AT4 was built for off-roading
3:17
It comes standard with a factory-equipped 2-inch suspension lift and meaty 33-inch
3:24
Goodyear Wrangler Duratec tires
3:39
A perfect truck needs a kick-ass tailgate, and this is GMC's Multi-Pro tailgate, which
3:47
allows you to configure it in up to six or seven different ways
3:52
You can put wood in here and keep it from coming out. You can have a nice little bench to set your laptop and work, or even better yet, it allows
4:01
the tailgate to convert into steps, so it's easier for you to get in your vehicle
4:10
A perfect truck needs a really good engine, and diesels and pickup trucks have long been
4:17
synonymous as being side-by-side when the real work gets done. So when you walk up to this Sierra AT4 Carbon Pro and see Duramax diesel on the front fender
4:30
and under the hood, it gets me really excited. This is GM's three-liter, six-cylinder turbo diesel, a younger cousin, you could say, of
4:40
the company's HD 6.6-liter Duramax. It gets 277 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque, which is very comparable to the
4:52
6.2-liter gas engine, but gets slightly better fuel economy. It's a great match for this Sierra and gives you plenty of performance no matter what sort
5:04
of towing and hauling you plan on doing, and I think makes the perfect complement for a
5:12
perfect truck. And considering the 3.0-liter Duramax gets over 25 miles to the gallon and has a range
5:19
of over 600 miles, you won't need to visit this place very often
5:25
One of my favorite features of GMC's MultiPro Tailgate is this, the optional Kicker Pro
5:32
audio system. It features two completely waterproof speakers and uses your phone or tablet to stream music
5:40
to the tailgate of your truck. From the campsite to your backyard or work site, you have instant audio entertainment
5:50
on the back of your truck, and it's just one of the cool ways that you can enjoy your pickup
5:56
no matter what the circumstances may be. Sometimes you just gotta let off a little steam, and you wouldn't catch me doing that
6:07
with a steel bed or a spray-on bed liner. This bad boy is the GMC CarbonPro bed
6:16
It's a GMC exclusive, and it's not a steel bed or a spray-on bed liner or even a drop-in
6:24
liner over a steel frame. The inside of this truck bed is entirely a carbon-infused composite, and as you might
6:33
have figured out with the 2x4, it's nearly indestructible. You can beat on it, you can drop rocks on it, you can jump on it, you can put dirt or
6:43
aggregate or whatever you want back here, and it will never dent or rust
6:49
And to me, that's a really awesome feature for a perfect truck
6:55
So is this the perfect truck? I'd really like to hear what you think
7:01
Is this 2021 Sierra AT4 CarbonPro the perfect truck? If you don't agree with me or if you do agree with me, make a comment below and let me know
7:14
what you think. I'm really interested in what your personal preferences are
7:20
We've gone over all of this vehicle's features, from its factory two-inch lift to its powerful
7:26
Duramax diesel engine and all of the technology and creature comforts in between
7:33
And for me personally, I really, really like this truck. It checks all the boxes for me
7:40
I can comfortably drive it to work every day. I can use it for all my chores on the weekend
7:46
I can put my family, my dog, my son, everybody can come along with me and be extremely comfortable
7:54
in the process, and it just has everything that I would want to have in a pickup
8:02
And to me, yep, it's my perfect truck. I'm Zane from GM-Trucks.com
