Hi everyone, it's Global Scholarships
0:02
and I'm your host as I hope you're all
0:04
doing well. I hope everything is going
0:05
great and today we'll see the
0:07
application pro procedure of University
0:09
of Müster in Germany. As always, you can
0:11
just start by googling the name of the
0:13
university or you can do what I do and
0:15
Google the name of university with
0:16
globalcolarships.com
0:18
which will take you to our website the
0:21
page that we have for this university
0:22
where you can get a lot of a ton of
0:24
information from like location,
0:26
population. Uh we have like different
0:28
scholarships you can click in click on
0:30
any one of these to go and read about
0:32
that. uh like we have other stuff as
0:34
well here uh like admission pages
0:37
admission application deadlines tuition
0:40
uh we have the scholarships here as you
0:41
can see in Germany universities you
0:43
usually don't get a lot of financial aid
0:45
or stuff like that you get full tuition
0:46
which means basically you don't pay
0:48
tuition fees we have some external
0:50
scholarships like the scholarship and if
0:52
you want to learn like about
0:53
scholarships about studying abroad
0:55
directly from people who have who have
0:57
got those experiences we have something
0:59
called scholarship stories uh so like
1:02
these scholarship recipients that we
1:04
have found and like they tell us their
1:06
stories. You can just click on uh any
1:08
one of them to read about their journey,
1:10
their educational background etc etc.
1:12
And usually they also give us like their
1:14
LinkedIn profile or something like that.
1:16
So like you can directly uh contact them
1:19
and ask questions about the specific
1:20
university, specific scholarship or
1:22
something like that. Anyway, so this is
1:23
our page and if you have any questions
1:25
about the scholarship, about the
1:27
university etc. So you can just leave
1:28
your questions in the comment section
1:30
and Hi, who is the founder of global
1:32
scholarships, he answers every single
1:34
question, every single one here. Okay.
1:37
Anyway, so to start our application
1:39
procedure, we go here in admissions part
1:42
and here in the bachelor section, we
1:44
click on international students
1:45
admission page. Now, usually a lot of
1:48
Germany universities accept applications
1:50
through something called UNI assist,
1:52
which is a platform. Basically, if you
1:54
want to study in Germany and you are a
1:56
non-EU and EA student, Germany
1:59
universities want to make sure that your
2:01
prior education is compatible with the
2:03
university education in Germany. So,
2:05
like either you have to go through like
2:06
you give them your all your like
2:08
diplomas, transcripts, etc., etc. You
2:11
can do that through UNI assist and then
2:13
and depending on your qualifications
2:15
like where you studied high school,
2:16
etc., etc., sometimes it's compatible.
2:19
You can just start studying in German
2:21
universities. But there's also something
2:22
called student colleague. Basically
2:24
that's a like a preparation course like
2:27
for a year that you go and study in a
2:29
German university. Uh so you can do
2:31
either one of those like if you want to
2:33
learn more about those we made videos of
2:35
that as well. But the thing is
2:37
University of Minister does not accept
2:39
applications through UNISS. So you have
2:42
to apply through its own application
2:44
portal which is here. As you can see we
2:46
have like study opportunities etc etc.
2:49
Here we have admissions and here we have
2:51
none EU non EA applicants without the
2:53
Germany university entrance
2:55
qualification. We have first semester
2:56
enrollment degree programs etc. So you
2:59
can click on any one of these to read
3:01
about like application procedure like
3:03
your qualifications what what is
3:05
required of you etc. Here you can read
3:08
uh about degree programs, mandatory,
3:10
epic test blah blah blah like different
3:12
kind of programs can have different kind
3:13
of requirements and click on
3:15
applications where we can get more
3:17
information about like application
3:18
procedures, deadlines, degree programs,
3:20
etc. Here we click on bachelor's degree
3:22
programs and state examination. I'm
3:24
guessing a lot of you would be a non-EU
3:26
nona applicant. So we're going to go
3:28
through with that. Applicants without a
3:30
European university entrance
3:31
qualification who came from none EUEA
3:34
countries must apply for restricted
3:35
admission degree programs in the first
3:37
semester. Anyway, we click on here uh
3:39
where we can get like all the all the
3:41
steps. Your application requires the
3:43
following steps. First, you have to
3:44
apply online for all restricted and
3:46
non-restricted bachelor programs through
3:48
their online application portal. And
3:50
after submitting your online
3:51
application, which is what we're going
3:53
to do today, uh you'll receive an email
3:55
with an attached check sheet. and the
3:57
email you will be informed about your
3:59
application number and all the steps
4:01
that are now necessary. Basically the
4:03
whole point after the part we're going
4:05
to do today is just to upload your
4:07
required required documents uh which are
4:10
here and like after your application
4:12
you'll get an email you'll get an email
4:14
informing you about like what you have
4:16
to upload etc. You can get more
4:17
information here uh certificate of suff
4:20
sufficient German language proficiency
4:22
etc etc. So let's go to online
4:24
application portal. Now the thing is if
4:27
you don't have the required
4:30
qualifications if you're a non-EU non EA
4:32
student and you didn't do like you
4:34
didn't go through the whole um like
4:36
student collect like preparation course
4:39
stuff first you're going to have to
4:40
apply for that which will be like again
4:42
a year one year preparatory course. So
4:45
here we're going to choose English.
4:47
Please select your nationality. I'm
4:49
going to choose Turkey which is my
4:51
nationality. Uh, in which country did
4:53
you obtain your school secondary school
4:55
living certificate? Um, secondary, by
4:57
the way, if you don't know, means like
4:59
high school usually. Do you live in
5:00
Germany? Uh, no. Have you already
5:02
studied in Germany or a university in
5:04
another country or are you still
5:06
enrolled at a university? I'm going to
5:08
say no. Now, the most important question
5:10
here is, did you complete a student
5:12
colleague and pass the assessment test
5:14
or will you complete it shortly? So, if
5:17
you have done nothing about that, you're
5:18
going to have to choose no here. And
5:20
then which of the following German
5:22
language tests you will be able to prove
5:24
as part of your application? Let's say
5:27
uh let's say B1 or like you can choose
5:30
something else as well. And then you're
5:31
going to click on next. Basically at
5:33
this point you're going to start
5:35
applying for a preparatory German
5:37
course. Uh the application will be
5:39
solely digital consists of these steps.
5:41
Uh you're going to need your school
5:43
leaving certificate if available
5:45
transcript if available university
5:47
degree certificate and B1 level uh
5:50
German language certificate uh since
5:52
that's what we chose. Then we say I read
5:54
above information and click on next. I
5:57
hereby confirm that I do not yet meet
5:59
the language requirements for the
6:00
intended degree program and that I have
6:02
not yet passed the desired DSH
6:05
examination etc etc. You get the idea.
6:08
Have you ever been accepted for this
6:10
preparator Jordan course at University
6:12
of Minister? We're going to say no. And
6:14
then date of issue of your school living
6:17
certificate. We're going to give that
6:19
here. Uh let's say 21. Doesn't matter.
6:22
We're not going to send. Hang on. Oh,
6:23
it's okay. And then let's confirm. So,
6:26
we're going to give them our personal
6:27
data. And it's pretty much the same with
6:30
applying for a bachelor's program. So,
6:32
it's pretty much the same. This is how
6:33
we start our preparator course
6:35
application. Uh I just wanted to show
6:37
you how it goes. And now we're going to
6:39
go back and do the same thing for a
6:42
bachelor's program and we're going to go
6:44
through. So again, here we are in non
6:47
EUA applicants without a European
6:49
university entrance qualifications, but
6:51
this time we're going to see how to
6:53
apply for a bachelor's program instead
6:56
of the preparation course. Okay. So it's
6:58
in English this time. Uh let's say
6:59
Turkey. Which school? Let's say which
7:02
country? Um Turkey. Do you live in
7:04
Germany? No. Have you already studied in
7:07
Germany? No. And here, did you complete
7:09
a student in college and pass the
7:11
assessment test or will you complete it
7:13
shortly? To be able to apply to a
7:15
bachelor's program in this university,
7:16
you have to say yes. Please select the
7:18
type of course qualification. Now, there
7:21
are different courses when it comes to
7:23
like student collect and studying in
7:24
Germany. Uh you you're going to have to
7:26
go and see what are those. basically GSM
7:29
TWW all of those mean kind of like
7:32
different types of programs like one of
7:34
them is humanities uh one of them is
7:36
like economics etc etc now here I'm
7:38
going to choose W uh which is usually
7:40
like business administration and etc
7:42
that like economics that type of
7:44
programs in which year did you pass the
7:46
assessment test let's say 2024 right
7:49
click on next okay application for
7:51
bachelor's degree programs and stud
7:53
examine uh stud examination basically
7:56
whether you're applying for a bachelor's
7:58
degree program or the state examination
8:00
kind of depends on the program and the
8:02
requirements of that program like if
8:04
it's if it requires a state examination
8:06
um online application you're going to
8:08
need your school school living
8:09
certificate certificate of assessment
8:11
test from a German student collect uh
8:13
which we said that we have passed
8:15
remember login info portal I read the
8:18
above information let's click on next so
8:20
first we're going to choose our degree
8:22
program here we have subjects uh these
8:24
are only available for like German
8:27
courses right now. This university also
8:29
offers like some English programs but a
8:31
lot of those are not uh for bachelor's
8:34
programs. Uh but in masters you have
8:36
like a lot of English taught programs in
8:38
this university. Uh we can choose any
8:39
one of them like uh law, sociology or
8:43
like business administration. This is
8:45
I'm going to choose that and then we
8:46
click on accept selection and then we're
8:48
going to click on confirmation. Should I
8:50
submit more than one application to the
8:52
University of Minister? Only the
8:53
application submitted last is valid. The
8:56
last application have to contain all
8:57
subjects for which I want to apply. You
8:59
can apply up to three programs. First of
9:02
which is to be considered my preferred
9:04
choice. Uh which is for person
9:06
preference. Anyway, so we're going to
9:08
give them our personal data. Now uh I'm
9:10
just going to give them some like fake
9:11
information since I'm not going to send
9:13
the application in the end anyway. So
9:16
normally the ones with asterisk are
9:18
usually they are the mandatory ones. Not
9:21
in this case. Now it means they're
9:23
optional. Okay. I gave them some madeup
9:26
information like first name, last name,
9:28
gender, uh date of birth, place of
9:30
birth, country of birth, um nationality,
9:34
street number, house number, uh
9:36
postcode, town, home country, uh phone
9:38
is not mandatory, which is always good,
9:41
and email and email check. Now, we have
9:44
two things that we need to agree on.
9:46
Statement on the electronic process. I
9:48
will make sure that I receive and read
9:50
the email sent to me in the application
9:52
process. And then they give you a little
9:55
background. In the past, in the past
9:57
there were sometimes problems with
9:58
certain email providers. So that emails
10:00
could not always be delivered to ensure
10:03
that you receive. You get the idea.
10:05
Regularly check the status of my
10:06
application in the info portal at this
10:09
uh you can just copy and paste this link
10:13
here. Letters of admission will be
10:15
available for download after the
10:16
admission procedure has ended. If I'm
10:18
admitted and accept the place or places
10:21
I have to communicate my acceptance
10:23
electronically in time by using the
10:25
portal. So basically the whole like
10:27
communication part is on is your
10:30
responsibility. And then final
10:32
declaration I apply for the allocation
10:35
of a course placement on the basis of
10:37
the above details. I affirm that I have
10:40
not definitely failed a test in one of
10:43
the degree courses I am now applying
10:45
for. I I certify that the information
10:47
above is true and correct to the best of
10:49
my knowledge and belief. I understand
10:51
that if the information I have given
10:53
above is not correct, admission can be
10:55
withdrawn and then that there is no
10:58
claim to enrollment in this case. So
11:00
here we click on next and then they give
11:02
you like an overview uh to see like if
11:05
everything is in order uh which it seems
11:08
to be uh we have zero semesters of
11:10
previous studies. you've completed this
11:13
the online application and then uh the
11:16
only thing that is left to do is just
11:18
clicking on send and boom it is gone and
11:22
then they will again as they say here
11:24
they will uh receive they will send you
11:27
an email with an attached check sheet
11:29
where you can like you can that you can
11:31
use to uh kind of like see what you need
11:34
to do then basically like give them your
11:37
documents etc etc and then your
11:39
application is complete as soon as you
11:41
have uploaded
11:42
all the required degree program specific
11:44
documents. Now you can no longer access
11:46
or exchange your uploaded documents if
11:49
you need exchange etc etc. You can read
11:52
the rest. Anyway, that's pretty much it
11:54
for today. uh we cannot really go
11:56
through all the details until the moment
11:59
the like the application like we are in
12:01
the fifth step step because for that I
12:03
would need to send them like an actually
12:05
fake uh application and I don't want to
12:08
do that and the part after this should
12:11
be pretty much like quite simple. Um
12:13
there is usually I do usually I make
12:16
tutorials and I go uh until the point
12:19
where you have to pay the application
12:20
fee which in this case um is
12:23
non-existent. There is no application
12:25
fee to pay for this university. German
12:28
universities don't have like application
12:29
fees usually. Uh but if you apply
12:32
through UNI assist you have to pay like
12:33
I7 75 uh or something like that. But for
12:38
uh University of Minister it's free and
12:40
after you've gone through all of this uh
12:43
they will basically contact you with
12:45
email to tell you what to do next. And
12:47
that's pretty much it. I hope you found
12:49
this video to be informative. I'm
12:51
planning to do more tutorials um in the
12:53
future. If this was helpful, make sure
12:55
to give us a like and subscribe to our
12:57
channel. We share a lot of stuff about
12:59
scholarships, about studying abroad. We
13:01
also do have live streams every Friday.
13:04
Uh you can just come in like ask any
13:06
questions that you might have about
13:08
scholarships, about studying abroad. Our
13:10
expert Aean is there to answer your
13:12
questions. It's a Q&A live stream, but
13:14
we also talk about like different stuff
13:16
as well. Anyway, that's it for today and
13:18
see you in the next one. Bye.
