okay all right hi everyone it's Global
0:02
scholarships and I'm your host as I hope
0:04
you're all doing well I hope everything
0:06
is going great and today we're going to
0:08
see every scholarship in Korea
0:11
University uh now there will be four
0:13
scholarships uh keep in mind these are
0:16
just the scholarships that are offered
0:18
by the University of course like if you
0:20
go to South Korea and study in Korea
0:22
University there will be a lot of other
0:24
scholarship opportunities as well uh
0:26
that are given by like institutions or
0:29
like other entities
0:30
uh like donors and etc etc but these are
0:32
just four scholarships uh that you can
0:35
get directly from the University so as I
0:39
said there are four of them uh one of
0:41
them is for undergraduate students and
0:43
three of them are uh for graduate
0:45
students two of them are like two of
0:47
those are pretty much the same for uh
0:50
different types of students and the last
0:52
one is the big one um like for graduates
0:56
so uh but first I want to talk a little
0:59
bit more about like the university about
1:01
our website Global scholarships where
1:03
you can find more guide and more
1:05
resources and more information about
1:08
people who let's say received those
1:10
scholarships and what would they advise
1:13
to uh new students so I will uh put uh
1:17
timestamps uh in the description so you
1:19
can find like you don't have to listen
1:22
to me like yapping about all the other
1:25
things if you're just interested in the
1:26
scholarship so can look into that but
1:28
now uh we're going to get get to um
1:31
first the global scholarships website if
1:34
you do not know uh Global scholarships
1:37
we are a platform that shares a lot of
1:38
um like informative stuff about
1:40
scholarships about studying abroad uh
1:43
this is our page as you can see we have
1:45
like guides uh we have scholarship
1:48
guides we have um now in
1:51
resources one thing that might be quite
1:53
interesting for you is we have
1:55
scholarship stories right and as you can
1:57
see we have scholarship stories by
1:59
country and you can click there to and
2:02
see the scholarship uh stories for
2:05
example this one let's say uh South
2:08
Korea
2:09
scholarships right and you can see for
2:12
example these are the people who won
2:15
Scholarships in South Korea and then
2:18
Global scholarships found them and had
2:20
them tell their stories share their
2:22
stories with us you can click on any one
2:25
of them uh this is for example Global
2:27
Korea scholarship um
2:30
this person have won that scholarship
2:33
and like quite a lot of information here
2:35
about their background about uh what
2:37
would they have done differently what
2:39
advice would they give etc etc um other
2:43
than that we have country guides here
2:46
you might want to look at those uh for
2:48
example you can come guides and let's
2:51
say right here in we have study in Asia
2:55
like you can click on study in South
2:56
Korea and we have a huge collection of
2:59
different guides from like choosing
3:01
University higher education best
3:03
programs applying to a university
3:05
documents and tests uh language
3:07
proficiency um financing your studies
3:10
blah blah blah Good scholarships and
3:11
opportunities so you can uh look at
3:14
those two if you are looking for
3:16
scholarships like other scholarships too
3:18
you can just type in South Korea here
3:20
this is our search Tool uh it's
3:22
completely free as you can see and it
3:25
will give give you every scholarship
3:27
that we have in South Korea we have
3:28
about 300 scholarship in our database uh
3:31
you can just filter them for degrees uh
3:34
for deadlines for subject and
3:36
nationality etc etc and you can just
3:39
click on any of them we we'll going to
3:40
see how that um Works in a second so uh
3:44
let's see a little bit about the
3:47
university right the Korea University um
3:51
Korea University yeah so this is the
3:53
institution uh we have Pages for um all
3:58
the scholarships that we have in
3:59
database but we also have Pages for uh
4:02
the universities uh for example you can
4:04
see uh we have every piece of
4:07
information you might need about this
4:08
University here in our page Korea
4:11
University it's a really good University
4:13
it's one of the best universities in
4:14
South Korea um it's it's a part of the
4:18
it's part of the group called Sky
4:21
universities uh Soul National University
4:24
um Korea University and Yonce University
4:26
these are like the top universities in
4:27
South Korea um as you can see it's in
4:30
Soul uh it has about 37,000 students and
4:34
has as you can see four different
4:37
scholarships we're going to see all of
4:39
those in detail in a second so we have
4:42
more information here like the admission
4:44
process you can just click on any one of
4:47
these to go to the University's page for
4:50
admissions and get more
4:52
information um sorry Korea univers like
4:56
Korea websites can be a little slow
4:58
because I'm from t
5:00
in Turkey so yeah admission guide etc
5:03
etc we have deadlines here we have the
5:06
tuition fees usually Korean universities
5:10
don't have insanely High tuition fees
5:12
they have about like uh $5,000
5:16
$110,000 um they are much much more
5:20
affordable than a lot of countries like
5:22
United States or Australia or Canada or
5:25
even UK but still they can be quite um
5:28
unaffordable for a lot of people like
5:31
$10,000 a year not everyone will be able
5:34
to um afford that but like luckily some
5:38
of these scholarships take care of the
5:40
those uh tuition fees and then we have
5:43
scholarships as you can see we'll see
5:45
these for undergraduates there is global
5:49
leader scholarships for graduates we
5:51
have two scholarships that are partial
5:53
funding um and then we have graduate
5:56
graduate Global leader scholarship we're
5:58
going to see that to and of course for
6:01
every page that we have we have a
6:03
comment section where we can leave any
6:05
question that you might have and H who
6:09
is the founder of global scholarships
6:11
will answer all of them just like he
6:12
answers all of them as you can see you
6:15
can just leave like you don't have to
6:17
register or sign in or anything you can
6:20
just leave your questions here so yeah
6:23
this is the University um we can just
6:25
like can just go and see where the
6:28
university is what looks like so it's in
6:32
Soul of course this immediately uh
6:36
creates an issue of affordability for
6:39
this University uh as I said like you
6:43
will have to pay maybe $5,000 $6,000 up
6:46
to $10,000 in tuition fees but um so
6:51
this is the University basically but
6:54
soul is a very expensive places to
6:57
expensive place to live um so like you
7:01
will need probably more than that
7:04
tuition fee to just be able to afford
7:07
everything you might need um like has
7:10
very High Cost of
7:11
Living um even though you get quite a
7:14
lot of that money like very very
7:17
enjoyable experience a very safe place
7:20
to study in etc etc this is the
7:22
University it's one of the best
7:24
universities in uh South Korea and in
7:28
like some uh um terms like in some
7:31
subjects it is one of the best
7:33
universities in the world so as I said
7:36
soul is very expensive we can see that
7:39
in cost of living
7:41
index here
7:44
right so this is
7:46
soul as you can see South
7:50
Korea um hang on let me sh let me
7:54
just yeah uh switch
7:57
to USD and about like $1,000 one like
8:02
$1,100 in uh for a single person without
8:05
that's without rent and with rent it
8:08
will be higher than that it's about like
8:11
let's say it will be about $2,000 but um
8:15
like even with rent you are living as a
8:17
student so it might come down to like I
8:20
don't know 1,500 1,400 even maybe if
8:23
you're very good at your fin at finances
8:25
like it can be about
8:27
$1,200 uh but it will be still be a lot
8:30
like if you stay there for 9 months 10
8:32
months it will be higher than the
8:35
tuition
8:36
fees sorry mostly so yeah this is the
8:41
University uh it's a really good
8:42
University but uh so your main issue
8:46
will be able to like cover your living
8:49
expenses and some of these
8:51
scholarships help with I mean all of
8:54
them help uh but like uh some of them
8:56
are just partial scholarships now uh um
9:00
at this point we can just talk about
9:01
what is full tuition uh what is partial
9:05
funding so basically hang on these are
9:09
these are actually full funding because
9:12
they also give um living allows I need
9:15
to ask this to Aman anyway so we have
9:19
three types of scholarships actually let
9:21
me show you that through here right
9:25
let's hit enter on our Search tool um
9:28
scholarship type three types of
9:30
scholarships uh partial funding full
9:32
tuition full funding partial funding
9:34
means it covers less than the tuition
9:36
fees um it could be just like I don't
9:39
know let's we are giving you $1,000
9:41
that's that's a partial funding uh
9:43
scholarship or it could be as we'll see
9:47
uh
9:48
just tuition fee discount like you will
9:51
get I don't know 70% discount on tuition
9:53
fees which can be quite um quite good
9:57
for a lot of people uh full tuition me
9:59
means it covered just the tuition fees
10:00
and that's it nothing more and full
10:03
funding means it cover it gives you like
10:05
covers your tuition fees and then it
10:07
gives you something a little bit more
10:09
could be um could be a stipend could be
10:12
an allowance could be accommodation
10:14
could be health insurance a lot of
10:16
things there are a lot of things that
10:17
could be um but yeah these are three
10:20
types and we have two partial
10:24
funding and two full tuition
10:27
scholarships so anyway that's it about
10:29
the school um so let's see the
10:33
scholarships now the first scholarship
10:35
as you can see is the undergraduate
10:38
scholarship of global leader
10:40
scholarships we can click here to go to
10:43
the page that we have for the
10:45
scholarship we have we have this page
10:47
for every scholarship we have in our
10:49
database uh Bachelor career University
10:51
full tuition so this is for Bachelors
10:54
full
10:56
tuition yeah this is just full tuition
10:58
that's right
10:59
uh so it can be like if you have
11:02
scholarship B you get 50% uh tuition
11:05
fees discount if you get Global leader
11:08
scholarship a uh you get full tuition
11:11
covered as you can see there are no
11:13
specific subjects or nationales a lot of
11:16
people come to our uh live streams and
11:18
ask I'm from this country I want to
11:21
study this can I get scholarships
11:23
scholarships usually don't care about
11:25
your nationality or subject all that
11:28
much this means if the like all subjects
11:31
if the university offers that
11:33
program um you can just apply for the
11:35
scholarship through that program
11:38
admission deadlines here as you can see
11:40
for now the admission deadline to the
11:43
university is passed uh but of course
11:45
like depending on when you are watching
11:48
this it might be still up you might like
11:51
you might be able to apply so as I said
11:55
this is the coverage uh there are two
11:57
levels um scholarship B covers 50%
12:02
scholarship a covers 100% of tuition
12:04
fees there are no specific ntion sorry
12:07
there there are no specific eligibility
12:08
criteria for this one just be an
12:11
international Bachelor
12:13
student so we have the procedure here we
12:15
have the deadlines here again we have a
12:20
like we kind of make videos for these
12:21
two most of these are clips from our
12:24
live streams uh we do live streams on
12:27
Fridays by the way you can come and ask
12:29
any any questions that you might have
12:30
about scholarships about studying abroad
12:33
and of course as you can see we have uh
12:35
the comment section here now we can
12:37
click on official scholarship page here
12:39
to go and see the scholarship from the
12:42
University University's
12:45
page so yeah this is as you can see for
12:50
undergraduates we have two types here uh
12:53
newly admitted students and current
12:55
students the current students ones are
12:58
like they do not um they like they do
13:02
not interest us right now we have nearly
13:05
newly admitted students so as you can
13:08
see these are the ones that we are
13:10
talking about scholarship Global leader
13:12
scholarship A and B so evaluation
13:15
criteria is application is pretty much
13:18
the same all applicants are
13:19
automatically eligible and no separate
13:21
application is required you are uh you
13:25
are shown like given as a candidate from
13:28
uh the University
13:30
so admission evaluation um a covers full
13:33
tuition fee for two semesters and B
13:36
covers 50% tuition for two semesters and
13:39
we have notes students must get the GPA
13:41
of 3.5 or higher in the first semester
13:45
for the scholarship in the following
13:46
semester
13:48
so yeah it doesn't cover all that much
13:51
uh then we have these two by the way
13:54
challeng scholarship
13:56
um as you can say this one is for topic
13:59
now we can talk about topic a little bit
14:01
um topic is test of proficiency in
14:04
Korean so it's kind of like a government
14:07
um test like kind of like a tle uh but
14:10
for Korean so you can get like different
14:14
levels I think six is the highest level
14:17
and there are a lot of uh universities
14:19
that give scholarships like tuition
14:21
discount to your topic level so like for
14:24
example this if you have level five from
14:27
topic uh you will get this amount so um
14:31
and then we have bright future
14:33
scholarship admission evaluation among
14:35
students who did not get Global leader
14:38
scholarship a due to sponsorship from
14:41
their own governments so this will
14:43
interest very few people but these are
14:45
the ones these two are the ones uh that
14:48
will interest a lot of people which will
14:51
cover about like this will cover about
14:53
like at least um $10,000
14:57
$1,000 to some Masters and this will be
15:00
about like 3 to uh
15:04
$5,000 so yeah this is the first
15:06
scholarship um Global leader
15:10
scholarship um at Korea
15:13
University this is the only one that
15:15
they have for undergraduate students
15:18
unfortunately um the tuition fees are
15:20
not extremely high in South Korea but
15:23
they also like it's not as high as uh
15:27
the ones that are in United States USA
15:30
has like an average between 30,000 to
15:33
$60,000 in tuition fees um especially
15:36
private universities are really high
15:39
Korea does not have that high tuition
15:41
fees but they also do not have that many
15:43
scholarships as well so yeah this is the
15:46
first scholarship now the other four
15:49
scholarship sorry three scholarships are
15:52
for graduate students so this is Natural
15:55
Science and Engineering scholarship this
15:57
is pretty much the same with Humanity
15:59
and social sciences scholarship and so
16:01
I'm going to tell like I'm going to see
16:03
them together and then we have Global
16:05
leader scholarship for graduates that's
16:07
the last one we'll see today so this is
16:10
natural science and engineering and this
16:13
is Humanities and social science
16:15
basically they're the same scholarship
16:17
for different subjects as you can see
16:19
they're both for Masters and PhD
16:21
students they're in Korea University
16:24
partial funding meaning it covers 65% of
16:28
tuition fe uh that kind of like your
16:32
normal whether you are Masters or PhD
16:35
students that is for your normal uh
16:37
education duration so all nationalities
16:41
this is for engineering medicine and
16:43
natural science and this is the same is
16:48
60% is it I'm going to look at that and
16:52
this is for humanities and social
16:54
sciences basically the same scholarship
16:56
for different people different programs
16:58
no nationalities and this end is the
17:01
deadline October 31 and this is the same
17:04
so we have some uh eligibility criteria
17:08
here cgpa of
17:11
3.5 or above for like you can see
17:14
basically uh 3.14 or above out of four
17:19
or the
17:21
equivalents uh so you have to have a
17:23
topic level four or higher or like other
17:27
ilts Etc
17:29
equivalent and recommended and permitted
17:32
by the dean of KU graduate school so
17:35
like there are a lot of things here uh
17:37
but in turn in return it will cover 60
17:40
65% or of your tuition fees which is
17:44
nice it will not solve all your problems
17:48
but if you want
17:49
to um really study abroad in a foreign
17:53
country I think you really come to the
17:56
point where you stop like you should
17:57
stop looking at things that will take
18:00
away all of your problems and like
18:02
looking for things that will give you
18:04
really good benefits and this is one of
18:08
them so we have deadlines here again
18:11
it's the same we don't have any comments
18:14
on either of these so like if you have
18:17
any questions you can just leave them
18:19
here and yeah Aman will answer them
18:22
sorry Hanan will answer them for you and
18:25
we have the official scholarship Pages
18:28
they are pretty much the
18:32
same so yeah as you can see these are
18:36
graduate
18:38
scholarships uh these are the three
18:40
scholarships that we are seeing right
18:42
now um so for this is for humanities and
18:45
social sciences this is uh the Natural
18:47
Science and
18:48
Engineering so let me
18:53
see this is identical
19:02
yeah it is so like yeah this one
19:04
Humanities and social scientists cover
19:06
60% while a natural science and
19:09
engineering scholarship covers
19:12
65% so yeah it's pretty much the same
19:16
like there is there isn't that many that
19:18
much to say about these ones if you get
19:20
these pretty much like all the
19:22
information you can get from our page if
19:24
you get if you have these you will get
19:27
60 or 65% of your tuition fees covered
19:30
so yeah that is pretty much it you can
19:33
read more
19:35
here uh has some details a living
19:38
support fee of
19:41
500,000 uh will be transferred to bank
19:44
registered in KU portal portal so yeah
19:48
this like these are the ones that are
19:51
number two and number three for uh our
19:55
scholarships today Natural Science and
19:58
Engineering scholarship and Humanities
19:59
and social sciences scholarship and then
20:02
we have the last one uh graduate Global
20:04
leader scholarship this is global leader
20:06
scholarship basically this one for but
20:09
for graduates uh let's see that one
20:12
too
20:14
so it gives you 100 like it covers 100%
20:18
tuition and entrance fees and then gives
20:21
you a living allowance of 500,000 South
20:23
Green wands per month for four months of
20:27
the semester so
20:30
it will help you getting
20:32
settled in Soul it will not cover your
20:36
expenses
20:38
because see it's like about F like 1.5
20:42
million let's say you're really lucky
20:45
and you're really good with your
20:47
personal finances and it's like 1
20:49
million it still doesn't cover so still
20:53
doesn't cover so yeah
20:57
500,000 um we have some eligibility
20:59
criteria cgpa of four uh which is really
21:04
high like
21:05
3 yeah
21:07
3.57 or higher topic level of six which
21:12
is the highest level if I'm not wrong
21:16
permitted and recommended by the dean of
21:19
KU graduate school so this is the
21:21
eligibility
21:23
criteria we have the deadlines here uh
21:26
we have some questions as you can see um
21:29
again if you have any questions you can
21:32
ask them here and yeah answers all of
21:34
them you can click here to go and see
21:36
the official scholarship page which is
21:38
the page we've just seen uh
21:41
basically these are the same information
21:44
that like eligibility criteria and then
21:47
we have benefits um so here it says
21:50
living support fee only 4 months during
21:53
semester so and then they kind of
21:56
explain what living support fee is is
21:59
which is 500,000 South Korean WS per
22:02
month so yeah this is it this is the
22:05
fourth and the last scholarship and this
22:07
University that we'll see today um so
22:11
yeah it has like the university has four
22:14
scholarships again you have to keep in
22:17
mind that there are other scholarships
22:19
as well um like if you are interested
22:21
