0:08
Global Scholarships and I'm your host AZ. I hope you're all doing well. I hope everything's going great and today as
0:14
always we are here with another weekly live stream. If you're new here, we do these live streams every Friday
0:20
basically at the same hour. We are Global Scholarships. Uh we're we have a website globalcolarships.com and as you
0:27
can see we have a YouTube channel where we share a lot of informative stuff about scholarships about studying abroad
0:34
uh general that type of thing. So our website has a ton of free information.
0:41
Basically, you can read a lot about like not only we have like general guides
0:47
about scholarships, about studying in different countries, um about like how to go through the procedures, uh like to
0:54
learn about what how much it costs to study in a specific country, for example, how much does it cost to study
0:59
in United States, in Norway or other countries. Um we also have a lot of
1:05
information here about scholarship opportunities that are currently open like timely stuff uh that you need to be
1:11
a aware uh in time otherwise you can miss uh your chances. So as you can see
1:17
nowhere uh in this page this is our homepage we have like pricing or like
1:24
registration or something like that. This is completely free. You can just go to globalcolarships.com and use all of
1:30
our resources right now. uh completely freely. Hang on, let me Okay, so we also
1:36
have a free search tool to search for scholarships. Uh I'm going to show you
1:42
how to use them and we're going to talk about a scholarships that scholarship that just opened for application in
1:48
United States which is full funding. It's a great scholarship. Um where are
1:54
my manners? I'm sorry. Uh and I'm as always here joined by Aean. Hi Aean. How are you? How are things?
2:01
Um, hi Al. I'm doing well, thank you. How are you? I'm doing well too. Thank you very much.
2:08
Sorry for forgetting to introduce you. Aean is our expert guys. Uh, he's here
2:14
to answer your questions. This is a Q&A live stream. Basically, if you have any questions about uh scholarships, about
2:20
your specific situation, uh maybe you are looking for a scholarship, maybe you
2:25
are um you're applying to a specific university or you are planning to apply university in a specific country and you
2:32
are looking for a device, uh we are here to uh help you with that as best as we
2:38
can. So, Aean is our expert here. Anyway, so this is our search tool. I'm
2:43
going to show you how to use it. Uh but before that we also have uh for example
2:48
like country guides. So if you are planning to go and study in a country and you want to get like all the
2:55
information uh you can get like gather it in a place uh our country guides are
3:00
great. Let me share the link with you. By the way it's just very simple to uh
3:06
to follow along. So as you can see we have like a lot of countries here with
3:11
country guides. For example, if you want to study in Germany, you can click on Germany and what you get is basically a
3:18
collection of guides that we have about that country from like higher education pros and cons because different
3:25
countries uh have different opportunities, different challenges. Sometimes something about a country can
3:31
be very difficult uh for a lot of people or something like that. uh like some
3:36
what are some of the best English taught universities because I mean some some countries do have programs that you can
3:42
apply and study in English which is a really good opportunity because u now a
3:48
lot of you are interested in studying uh abroad but not that many
3:55
English-speaking countries are very welcoming to uh international students
4:00
right now for example USA is like has become increasingly more and more unwelcoming uh recently and in other
4:08
countries as well like Canada uh and even if it's not like that it is
4:14
it can be a little difficult to study in those countries because usually they have higher tuition fees for example
4:21
United Kingdom has high tuition fees uh Australia, Canada, uh United States
4:26
these countries do have very high tuition fees but if you go to some other
4:32
countries like Japan, South Korea uh Germany, France, Italy, there are
4:38
universities that charge much much less tush fees. I'm like talking about like in United States it can be about $30,000
4:45
40 50 up to $60,000 and in Italy for example you can find
4:50
universities very good universities with uh tuitions as low as a couple of hundred. In Germany a lot of
4:58
universities are completely free. you just have to pay about like €300 for semester fees. But
5:06
a lot of you don't know any German, any ital Italian, any French or Japanese
5:12
perhaps. So like it is a good opportunity in terms of being more affordable, but you don't know the
5:18
language. So these opportunities might be really good for you. Like you go study in Germany for completely free
5:26
without paying any tuition. But also if you don't know if you don't know any German you can just go and study in an
5:32
English taught program and they a lot of them for uh offer these and for example
5:39
I think we've just made a video about English taught universities in Spain for example we have them in Japan in Austria
5:46
in Germany so anyway you can look into these how to choose a program how to choose a university how to apply
5:54
different countries can have different uh procedures documents, of course, how
5:59
to apply. Um, we have different tests, language proficiency tests. Different
6:05
countries have different language tests and some of those tests for example especially in like Korea um I think in
6:12
China as well and in Japan uh if you get like high scores in these tests you can
6:19
just get automatic uh scholarships like for example up to 100% tuition fee
6:25
coverage or stuff like that. So you might be interested in that as well. Of course, you are probably interested in
6:30
ILTS or TOFL and of course the thing that you are most interested in usually.
6:36
Hi there Kuriku. Hi there Kuriku. How are you? Uh we are doing fine. Thank you very much. It's good to see you here. Um
6:43
and yeah of course the one thing that you are the most interested in how to
6:48
finance your studies like how to go and live there. So we have like different guides here. How to study in Germany for
6:55
free, how to study in this country for free. Usually we make these into videos. They are very popular. You can check out
7:00
our YouTube channel. Obviously we cannot guarantee you like we cannot say if you
7:06
do these you'll most certainly will get free education but we have some like
7:11
tips and opportunities like how to find like what universities are more affordable, what universities offer
7:18
tuition free scholarships uh etc etc. Cost of studying and tuition free
7:24
universities etc. So you can get the whole information from here. We have other stuff as well. Um but they are not
7:32
that u interesting to you apparently going from uh how much they are viewed
7:38
on our YouTube channel. Uh and then we have obviously scholarship uh guides for
7:44
different types of scholarships. Uh here we have scholarship by degree. We have government scholarships. Uh I'll just
7:51
throw in the link for you for this one. I'm pretty sure a lot of you will be interested in these government
7:57
scholarships are usually very very generous uh but a very
8:03
um competitive as well kind of difficult to get. So like the more information you get about these scholarships more chance
8:11
like more uh more of a chance you have uh in getting them. Here we have like
8:17
American government scholarships. There's one in Canada, one in Germany. This is very popular. uh one in United
8:24
Kingdom. This just for masters though. Uh we have Switzerland, France, even Turkey. Um I think we've
8:32
made a tutorial on how to apply to Romanian government scholarship and we've made videos about these as well.
8:38
So yeah, there are a lot of scholarships and if you want to get information, our you uh website is great. Now I'm going
8:46
to show you in a second how to use our search tool.
8:52
Basically uh we have a database of scholarships. In this in this database
8:58
we have thousands and thousands of scholarships that are offered by universities to newcoming students, new
9:07
coming international students. Okay. So um I'm going to search here. You can
9:12
type in anything. You can type in a country, a program, a scholarship that you might best country for commerce
9:19
students. Hm. I'm not sure if there is like there's that much of a difference
9:26
between a commerce student and like a a student going for another program. Aean,
9:32
do you have anything about this?
9:38
Anything specific for commerce students? Yeah. Yeah. I think we we get this
9:44
question every single week for a different subject and the answer is almost the same. always
9:52
um there is no specific country that is good for a specific subject per se. Uh
9:59
it's all subjective to an extent and um
10:05
it all depends on the universities themselves rather than the country because it could be just one university
10:11
within a country that would be good. It could be uh yeah see there are a lot of factors
10:19
that come into it like affordability like uh job prospects
10:25
and that can be narrowed down to one specific country or even one specific
10:32
university. Um so
10:37
I guess there's a lot of research that goes into that and
10:42
the choice to be made remains on the applicant themsel rather than
10:49
uh someone choosing that for them or telling them that there is objectively one country or one university that is
10:54
better than the others because objectively there isn't.
11:00
Yeah. Okay. Thank you very much. Yeah. uh as you heard like it is kind of difficult to say this country is good
11:06
for uh this program like there are some specific countries obviously there that are very good at specific things uh but
11:15
I I don't know much about uh commerce like you can look into there are some
11:20
opportunities that are better in in some countries for example uh if you if you give us information about like your like
11:28
yourself other than uh like just the subject maybe we can like where you want to study, what are you interested in, uh
11:35
we might be able to help you better. Okay. So, you can type in a university, you can type in a country, you can type
11:41
in a program, doesn't matter. You want to study in Germany, type in Germany, and then you'll see anything like
11:48
whatever it is, you can just click here and it'll show you uh all the scholarships that we have in our
11:53
database in that country. So, as you can see, New Zealand or Australia. Uh Aman,
12:00
how would you compare those two? Because like I think they're kind of similar in
12:05
a lot of ways when both like uh tuition fees and their approach to international
12:10
students, but I don't really know much about like what distinctive differences they have.
12:18
Yeah, I think there there are a lot of similarities between the two for sure.
12:24
Mhm. Um but as far as I know, New Zealand is more international
12:29
studentfriendly than Australia, especially in recent years. Yeah. Um Australia used to be one of the big
12:38
destinations for international students, but I feel like there are more and more
12:46
um laws. there are more and more uh
12:53
just it's the direction they're taking when it comes to uh recruiting international student that's just
13:00
changed from the ministry of education and I feel like that has affected um
13:08
Australia in general as far as international students are concerned. So,
13:14
uh that's why I think that New Zealand right now is a much
13:21
uh better destination than Australia for sure. Yeah, I think that kind of goes for like
13:27
more than a couple of countries that used to be uh very good opportunity for
13:34
uh international students like United States, like Canada and Australia as well. I think it's like one of it was
13:40
one of the top um education exporters. So like a lot of
13:45
international students would come in and pay tuition fees and etc. So the the country would make a lot of money out of
13:51
that. Um but like recently not only they had a have had a lot of issues about um
13:59
immigrants but also they do have a huge housing crisis. uh which is why it is
14:07
really really not as affordable as I as New Zealand I would I would guess like
14:13
it's already I think more expensive in terms of tuition fees etc than New
14:18
Zealand but also like very very high rents very high housing uh prices in
14:24
Australia right now. So yeah they're going through it. Uh there are more opportunities of course because it's
14:30
kind of a kind of like a legacy thing because like when for for a very long time you uh kind of welcomed a lot of
14:39
international students with a lot of scholarships. Of course even though your approach changed recently you still have
14:46
a lot of scholarships uh but they will be a little less uh interested in
14:51
accepting international students. So here are the scholarships that you can find in Australia. Uh some of these are
14:58
for bachelors, some of these are for masters. They do have some really good scholarships. Uh for example, you can
15:06
click on any one of them to get all the information like uh masters and PhD. Let
15:11
me find a bachelor one for you. Uh you know what? I I'll just show you how
15:17
filters work. So we have filters here. You can filter by uh degree. You can filter by location. We normally have
15:24
about like 4,500 4,500 scholarships here. Uh you can
15:30
filter for funding. Basically, it means partial funding less than part partial
15:35
funding means it gives you less than the tuition fees. Full funding means it gives you the entirety of sorry full
15:43
tuition. You know what? I messed that up. I'm going to start over. Partial funding means it gives you less than the
15:49
tuition fees. Full tuition means it gives you just a tuition and that's it.
15:55
And full funding means it gives you the tuition, the full tuition and it gives you something more. Could be
16:01
accommodation, could be a living stipend, um could be
16:06
insurance support, healthcare support, something like that. So let's see full funding. Full funding obviously is the
16:13
best uh and it is the most difficult to get. For example, they have two uh full
16:18
funding scholarships for bachelors. Here you can find a lot of full tuition uh in
16:24
Australia because their tuitions are very high. So they are uh providing a lot of scholarships for international
16:31
students to be able to afford. Uh for example, let's choose full tuition.
16:36
Okay, not that many. Not as much as not as many as I expected really. Uh so
16:42
tuition in this country is expensive. Let's see, for example, Deacon University.
16:47
It's about 20. It's about 30 to $40,000. This is Australian dollars. Uh let's
16:53
look at maybe Melbourne. It's not here. Um now, let's say all funding. I think
17:00
Melbourne was here. Kurt University, Sydney,
17:06
University of Melbourne, right? Uh so we have Australian government scholarship as well. Let me share the link with you.
17:13
Could you please explain about Italy? Okay, we're going to talk about Italy in a second. Uh, we talk about Italy all
17:18
the time. It's a great country to I think to go and study in. Can I apply to Kais for early and regular track with
17:26
separate fees? That's a very specific question and I think in a second when we
17:31
come back to that question, I think Aemon will have an answer for us. But for now, let's look let's answer the
17:37
other question. So yeah, this is it. Uh you can look into scholarships. There
17:43
are more scholarships like you don't have as many scholarships in New Zealand. I don't think we have any in
17:48
our database. Maybe a couple more than a couple. Okay, we do have
17:54
many. Huh. Let's see if do we do have any full funding. One full funding. Yeah, I remembered this one. This is a
18:00
good scholarship. Uh not available to a lot of nationalities though. Let me share the link with you.
18:07
Anyway, uh I hope we have been able to help you at least a little bit. Koshbu
18:12
Rei, uh yeah, there are differences. Uh you might want to look into the
18:17
scholarships. So the uh how are you doing? I hope you're doing well. Let's
18:24
talk about Italy. Now, we've talked about talked about Italy a lot uh recently. So we've made a couple of
18:30
videos as well. Maybe you've seen some of those. uh there I don't think there are that many scholarships open for
18:38
application right now in Italy. So these are the ones that we have in Italy. Now
18:43
in Italy uh in Europe in general excluding United Kingdom and Ireland
18:51
etc. Uh tuition fees are not very high. For example, this is University of
18:56
Bolognia. This is I think the the oldest university in the world and the tuition
19:01
is about €500 a€1,000 euros. It's they are very very affordable.
19:07
Um and there are some scholarships as well. For example, in Germany you don't
19:14
have to pay any tuition fees tuition or there are no tuition but they also don't give you a lot of like uh full funding
19:22
scholarships. Italy is not like that. They do have quite a lot of like full tution or full funding scholarships. For
19:29
example, uh let's see, we have University of Pedro
19:35
International Excellence Scholarship. Uh as you can see, this covers like 100% of tuition fees and then it gives you
19:42
about 8,000 per academic year. Not open for application right now. Not that many
19:47
universities are open for application any like in any way. like I I struggle to find universities to make tutorials.
19:55
Uh we have benefits and exemptions for COA superior in University of Bolognia.
20:00
And then we have minister of foreigners. Let me share this with you. Like if you have any other questions
20:07
u hi Nina we'll be back in a second for you. Uh if you have any specific
20:13
questions maybe we can help you a little better with that. But basically uh there are some English taught programs but
20:21
like it would be better for you to learn some Italian to be able to get by. Uh
20:26
it's not as expensive as other countries like United States or even like some
20:32
Asian countries, Japan, South Korea, etc. Uh in terms of like tuition fees, living expenses can be a bit high
20:39
depending on where you study because rents can be quite high. For example, if
20:44
you are studying in uh let's say Bolognia like somewhere touristic uh
20:50
rents can be quite high but even then you can find accommodation sometimes in the university sometimes in kind of like
20:57
the outskirts of the city where rents are way more affordable. Uh and then you
21:02
can find like some perhaps uh part-time jobs or some scholarships. So yeah,
21:08
that's pretty much it. I think Italy is is a really good option right now. Um,
21:14
Aean, do you want to add anything about Italy before we move on to the next question?
21:22
Um,
21:27
and Italy in general, you mean? Yeah, they they asked about Italy in
21:33
general. Um, yeah, Italy is a very affordable
21:39
country. I think we dedicated a whole live stream to this at some point
21:46
and we talked about um even
21:51
work opportunities for international students as it is uh a country that is
21:57
built on tourism and therefore it is always in need of young people
22:04
working at hotels. uh and any kind of uh service or
22:13
uh just service- based businesses like
22:19
hotels, restaurants, cafes. Uh they're always in need of international students. Uh provided that you speak a
22:27
bit of Italian, so that is always a plus. uh but English is also
22:34
uh required especially in hotels that have a lot of uh people coming from all
22:41
over the world. Um yeah, so that is a big uh thing that is unique to Italy, I
22:50
would say, when it comes to allowing students to work and
22:55
uh just be able to pay for their education through uh the
23:03
work they do. Um which is not allowed in many countries or at least your hours
23:09
would be limited. I don't know of a limit in Italy. Um I know a few people who are there and who are working and
23:17
they were never really uh restrained in that regard. Also, you
23:24
are given a year after uh you finish your studies to find a work and as long
23:31
as you're insured and uh have a job, you can renew your visa every single year.
23:37
So uh that is also something uh that not
23:42
many countries are offering at the moment. Um I guess these are a few
23:48
things that I can think of when I think about Italy. Uh but if anyone has any
23:53
specific questions uh I'd be happy to u elaborate on any of
24:00
uh the points I mentioned. So um regular shorts uh that kind of
24:07
depends on what program you're planning to apply. For example, if you're
24:12
applying to study in English or studying in Italian if you haven't uh I'm I'll
24:17
just give you the for example as you can see we have like English taught programs.
24:23
Yeah, I'm going to just give you the link for this. Uh maybe you can get a little more information. Okay, thank you
24:28
very much Aean. I think we talked about Italy. um sufficiently. If you have any
24:34
other specific questions, be feel free to ask them. Um regular shorts asked about can I apply to Kais for early and
24:42
regular track with separate fees. Aean, do you have any information on that?
24:51
So the only situation that I can think of
24:57
where you'd have to apply for both is that uh if you're not accepted
25:05
uh in the uh early application. So if you're not accepted then you go for the
25:11
regular one. Um, apparently Kais allows that, although
25:17
um it's not uh stated in the rules to be that way, but
25:26
uh I can see that uh some people contacted the university and they told them that they're allowed to. So take
25:34
that with a grain of salt. But um
25:39
according to someone who has contacted the university, you are allowed to uh
25:46
apply for both. Okay, thank you very much. Um yeah, regular shorts, I think it clearly says
25:52
here that no Italian language certificate is required when applying for an English taught degree program.
25:58
You can get more information about that uh here. I think they're like different for medicine and non-med. Okay, we have
26:06
one more question. Nina asks, "Hello sir, how are you?" Uh, hi there. It's
26:12
great to see you. Um, how how do I apply fully funded scholarship for undergraduate? Details
26:19
please like a road map. I saw scholarship but don't know how to apply. So
26:26
specific kind of uh changes they change uh based on the scholarship. Sometimes
26:31
you can apply like you are you need to apply to school to the scholarship uh through uh like when you apply to the
26:39
university for example there's just like a I think it it was like that for kaist for example when you apply to the
26:44
university there's just a little box saying do you want to apply to uh the
26:49
scholarship as well and you can just like take that and that's it. Uh some scholarships require you to apply after
26:56
you are admitted to the university. Some scholarships you cannot apply. Uh they're not for you to apply. They're
27:02
available but they're only available to people who are kind of like recommended by the school by the dean or something
27:10
like that. That really kind of depends on uh depends on what scholarship you
27:15
are talking about. Maybe if you specify we can give you more information. One thing you can do is let's say you've
27:22
seen a scholarship and you can just go and search for the
27:28
institution on our website. Let's see you you've seen a scholarship in
27:33
Harvard, right? Type in Harvard. Go to the Harvard University institution
27:39
in our page and try to find that scholarship. For example, you've seen financial aid in uh Harvard. You can
27:46
click on that and get more information how to apply like application process
27:52
deadlines. Uh you can even go and see their own page about how to apply. So
27:58
yeah, it's that there is not just one um basic road map for every single
28:05
scholarship. Sandia, hi there Sandia and Laji. Uh I'm
28:12
going to look into your both of your questions. Is HKU a good idea for
28:17
bachelor's in engineering? Okay. And let's just says, "Hey, thank you for what you thank you very much. Uh you're
28:24
welcome. I really appreciate because it helps a lot of people. Uh is it possible to get grants or financial support from
28:31
other sources to study in China? This is what I'm looking for because I have got
28:36
the Shanghai government type B plus scholarship which covers tuition, dorm and insurance. I'm looking for support
28:42
for living expenses. Okay. So, you are you already got a scholarship that covers everything except uh living
28:49
expenses. You are looking for another scholarship on top of that will cover
28:55
your living expenses. So, first of all, I'm uh we're going to go go to Aemon for
29:01
that. But first we're going to uh we're going to focus on the other question.
29:07
But first I want you to check if um that
29:13
scholarship is not exclusive. There are some scholarships that h have to be exclusive uh that you cannot get uh if
29:21
you are also getting another scholarships like some universities or
29:26
uh like government say I'm going to give you this scholarship but only if you are not also getting an other scholarships
29:33
and so if you get another scholarship that one might be cancelled uh like I
29:39
would really highly advise you to go and check that out first because I think there are some scholar ships in China
29:45
that are like that. Uh but we're going to talk about that in a second. But first of all, um Aean, is HKU a good
29:54
idea for bachelor's in engineering? What do you think?
30:08
Um I don't like even if you name
30:15
probably any university it wouldn't make much of a difference. I know that the
30:21
University of Hong Kong is um a reputed university
30:28
that you can go wrong with if you choose it. Um but there are many universities
30:37
that uh would be equally as good. So it just depends on
30:44
uh your interest in general in Hong Kong itself whether
30:51
you find the place interesting enough for you to live there. Um
30:59
is that the only option you're considering? Is it better than the other options?
31:05
Uh there are a lot of things that uh go into a decision like this. So the short
31:11
answer would be yes, it is a good idea. But uh my question would be have you
31:19
considered other universities, other places? Um, do you think
31:26
you'd be accepted at the University of Hong Kong or do you think you have better chances at being accepted at
31:32
another university? Do you think that your profile fits another university better where you would get a
31:39
scholarship? Um, so these are like things to consider
31:46
um before saying that a university is a good or a bad idea.
31:51
Um I would say all or most universities
31:57
that are really high ranked um would be good but some of them would
32:04
be better for you than others and uh that's the main thing. So you have to
32:11
consider yourself and how uh you would fit there and what the
32:18
university would be able to offer you as a student.
32:26
Okay, thank you very much. Amen. Uh so what do you say about Lud's question? So
32:32
they are looking for they got Shanghai Pisav. Uh we'll come back to you in a
32:38
second. They got a Shanghai government type B+ scholarship. Uh they're looking
32:44
for something else to support their living expenses. Like first of all, uh like go ahead.
32:52
Sorry. Yeah. So what you said is accurate and
32:57
it's the first thing I looked for. And basically you they can get any kind
33:05
of scholarships or aid from um
33:10
organizations outside of China. So it states clearly in the eligibility
33:16
criteria that you're not eligible if you have received any other scholarships offered by Chinese the Chinese
33:23
government or organizations. So if it's a Chinese the Chinese government or a
33:28
Chinese organization then you're not entitled to the scholarship which means that you would qualify for the
33:35
scholarship if you received uh aid from somewhere else. So provided that the aid
33:41
is not coming from China itself uh as in government or organizations
33:49
uh you'd be able to uh combine those scholarships with the uh
33:57
the one you were offered. So do we know like uh does anything jump
34:04
to your mind like a scholarship like that uh funded by someone else to go and
34:10
study in China? No, not really. Like the external
34:16
scholarships are very niche and they're most of the time cater they
34:23
cater to a specific uh category of students. sometimes a specific subject,
34:28
sometimes students from a specific region and there are a lot of them and
34:34
it's hard to just know them like that. You you'd need to do a lot of research
34:40
into that and see which one would actually work for you. Uh they're not like government or university
34:47
scholarships that are offered to a huge number of students. Um so you can know
34:54
those uh just from exposure to scholarships
35:01
just from knowing scholarships but the external ones are there are too many too many organizations they offer them for
35:08
uh whatever reason they think would benefit them. So that's why you just
35:16
need to research external scholarships and see which one is uh targeting you
35:22
specifically. Okay, thank you very much. So peace and love. Hi. What to do? I'm confused. So
35:30
uh yeah, there are a lot of information but basically what you can do to simplify is just go to our website,
35:38
right? Go away. uh just use our search tool to find uh
35:47
full funding scholarships like type in any country that you are interested or you can just hit enter right and
35:55
just spend like 10 15 minutes with it at least uh to get like get an idea about
36:00
what is going on. Uh so these are the full funding scholarships. For example, you can just
36:07
type in locations. A lot of these are in United States or in China. Uh there are
36:12
some in other countries as well. Of course. Of course. As you can see, we have like one in South Korea. And if you
36:18
see something that you're interested in, you can click on any one of them and get
36:24
information like what does it cover and then like if if you follow our pages
36:29
that they usually they give you uh like very good information and if you are
36:35
looking for more information you can just click here to go to the university's page for that scholarship
36:41
right and if you have still questions about that scholarship
36:46
uh what to do is I think first of all your best bet to get scholarship
36:52
questions answered is you can uh thank you very much regular shorts uh you can
36:59
just scroll down and leave your questions here this is not some kind of like a dead end comment section uh Hani
37:07
is the founder of global scholarships and he answers every single question here every single one of them like I'm
37:15
kind of surprised how he can find time to answer everything because it's not
37:20
like again not like a registered account or something like that. Anyone going to our website can leave questions here and
37:28
he answers all of them. So if you go go in look into scholarships
37:34
uh like for example let's say just bachelors right and then if you are
37:40
interested in something like merit scholarships for international students in Emerson college uh just look into
37:48
this and if you're still confused just type in your question here. Uh hang on,
37:55
let me just restart the Zoom meeting with Aean.
38:01
And then we're going to talk about the scholarship of the week.
38:08
Um hang on.
38:14
Any additional requirements for full funding in Padawa? Hey Ammon, can you hear me?
38:21
Um yes. Okay, I can hear you as well. And I do believe, can you give me a little sound check?
38:28
Okay, I think checks is also getting your sound. Okay, so
38:33
Padu, let me let me check. Padua. Ah, that's a really good scholarship.
38:40
It's so hot in here. Um,
38:46
international excellence scholarship. Right, there it is. So talented international students holding
38:52
a non-Italian secondary school diploma or bachelor's degree basically if you're applying as a bachelor student you need
38:59
to have a not nonItalian basically like a high school diploma from your own
39:06
country and study applying for an English taught program. So see not only
39:11
uh you can apply for English taught programs but also you have to apply for an English taught program to be able to
39:18
eligible for this scholarship. Other than that maybe let's see maybe
39:23
there's something else. What did I do? No. Okay.
39:30
Why did I click on open? Um who can apply?
39:37
Yeah, there's selection criteria, selection results. Yeah, not not that many uh criteria. Let
39:45
me share the link with you and that should be all. Okay, today we're going to talk about specific scholarship. It's
39:53
a really good scholarship. It is an opportunity that wasn't open until very
39:59
very recently. It is kish international scholarship program at Duke University 2025. Now we
40:07
talked about how uh like United States is less welcoming to international
40:13
students as it uh like compared to how much it used to be. Um but still a lot
40:20
of you are interested in studying in United States. That's clear. And there are not that many scholarships that
40:26
cover your tuition fees and like give you something else. Um, this scholarship
40:33
is kind of very unique. There aren't that many. This is open for application
40:38
right now. This is for bachelors. It's in Duke University. Duke University is a really good university in United States.
40:45
Um, there is no spec there is no like separate application. We're going to see about that in a second. But what does it
40:52
cover? It covers your tuition fees. It covers your accommodation fees. It
40:57
covers all needs exceeding tuition and residency. which means like it covers your living cost as well and then it
41:03
gives you unpaid internship. Basically, you'll also have like internship
41:09
opportunities which is great which of course would make this scholarship not only very generous but also very
41:16
competitive. So let's see about the university a little bit. It's Duke
41:21
University. It's in Durham, United States. There are other scholarships as well. We have the information here about
41:27
like admission that I think did we make? Yeah. No, did we didn't make a tutorial for application. Uh it probably uses
41:34
common app. Um so we have some admission and scholarship results. Basically five
41:42
people that we know applied, three accepted, two rejected.
41:47
And as you can see for example uh someone got rejected with 1590 with a
41:54
3.9 GPA. Someone accepted was accepted with 1530 and 4 GPA. Someone was accepted
42:02
with I know sorry this is rejected as well. Oh well there's just only one accepted sorry as you can see it's a
42:08
competitive university. So we have the deadlines here and as you can see tuition is very high because it's kind
42:15
it's like a private university. It is very high tuition, very high quality of education as well. We have some other
42:22
scholarships. For example, this is also full funding, financial aid. We talked about financial aid uh scholarship
42:29
scholarships uh in United States in our recent uh previous live streams. We have
42:36
like graduate scholarships here as well. And we have one person who have got uh
42:42
that scholarship scholarship. You can click here to read their uh experiences,
42:48
their journey etc. We have scholarship stories. Basically we have like we reach
42:54
out to people who have earned very good scholarships and ask them to tell us
42:59
about their uh experiences. You can also um kind of like contact them to ask your
43:06
questions etc etc. So, and as you can see, we have the comment section if you
43:12
have any questions. He only answers every question
43:18
as you can see. So, yeah, this is the university. Where is it? What does it look like? You might ask.
43:30
So, there it is.
43:37
an old university. Again, a very prestigious university. Um,
43:44
so yeah, that's the university and not much to say about this. It covers a lot of things. Uh, there is no eligibility
43:51
criteria. Basically, you have to have academic achievement and demonstrated financial need. Like it's not just for
43:59
people who are really good, but you need to have financial need.
44:05
Uh there's no separate application. We have the deadlines here. We have made a video about this and yeah, as you can
44:12
see, if you have any questions, you can leave them here. Let's go and see the university's page for this.
44:20
Yeah, not that not that much information. Uh we have frequently asked questions.
44:26
How do I apply for this scholarship? You just apply to Duke University. That's it. Anyway, so that's it. Aman, do you
44:34
have any qu Do you have any So, sorry. Do you have anything you want to add about this?
44:40
Um, it's really a very straightforward
44:46
scholarship. Um, and I'm really glad we covered it this
44:52
early so that people have time to uh prepare
44:58
and uh apply for it. So you have around two months, three months.
45:05
Uh yes, two months and a bit. So
45:10
um it is fully funded, covers 100% tuition fees.
45:16
Um so they say that it's all needs exceeding tuition and residency, but I'm
45:22
not sure if that means an allowance or something else.
45:28
Um that part is not really clear, but for the most part,
45:36
um it covers way more than uh a lot of scholarships.
45:41
Um and therefore it is really worth applying for. Um we have a recipient at
45:49
this university. Um so if people are interested in
45:54
reading their scholarship story, their uh
46:01
experience with the university itself, uh then just go ahead and read their
46:06
story and I think there are a lot of insights there that you wouldn't find anywhere else because
46:13
uh they have actually received this scholarship at this specific university.
46:20
Um, so you should learn a lot from this.
46:28
Okay, thank you very much. And yeah, this this this is the one guys. This is
46:34
the scholarship that we want to talk about. Order English taught UG physics courses in Pedro. Let's see. I don't I'm
46:41
not sure if we can get information on that, but let's look at look at it. Why not?
46:51
Pa um let's see admissions page maybe we
46:57
can find so in English probably there is something about programs here all
47:06
UG physics uh degree program okay let's click here they probably have okay
47:14
degree programs held in English bachelor ones animal care school of engineering
47:20
school of psychology school of science
47:25
um biology I don't think so information engineering psychological sciences
47:31
techniques and methods in psychological science yeah I think the these are the ones
47:40
uh physics maybe in
47:46
uh masters. Yeah, they do have masters but
47:52
uh no not not undergraduate I think. Uh let me share the link with you and you can look
47:57
for yourself. By the way, of course this um scholarship covers like the
48:03
scholarship is also available for uh master students,
48:10
right? bachelors and for masters
48:17
for masters you have other scholarships as well. Anyway guys, thank you very much for
48:23
joining in. This is our this was our live stream. We do this every Friday. We
48:28
come here uh see if you have any questions for us that we can perhaps help you with. Uh we're here every
48:35
Friday and we of course have some like scholarship that we want to talk about and thank you for watching if you're
48:42
watching this uh after the live stream as a VOD. Thank you very much. I got a recommendation letter from a Chinese uni
48:50
ranked among top 700. Is it worth it to pursue masters? I would have to ask Aean
48:57
because I do not know. Aean, what do you think? Um I'm not sure what they mean by
49:04
recommendation letter. Do you mean an offer letter or because a recommendation
49:09
letter is a letter that is given to you by a professor or someone who within
49:17
your environment with a certain authority to uh recommend
49:23
you to a specific university or well in this context it would be a
49:30
university or institution of higher education. So, do you mean an an offered letter?
49:50
Okay. I don't understand the question more. Yeah. Because you said, is it worth it
49:57
to pursue a master's and you got a PhD level? Oh, I see what you mean by that.
50:16
Um, yes. So, is your professor the one giving you the recommendation letter or is it coming from just the university?
50:24
And if so,
50:29
what are they recommending you or or who are they recommending you to?
50:44
Is alumni from that uni? It's a connection. Help me.
50:59
Oh, I'm still confused. Is it a recommendation letter or is it an offer
51:05
letter? So, music villain, can you try to answer Ammon's questions
51:11
because otherwise he like he cannot help you.
51:25
We're kind of running out of time, so acceptance letter. Yeah. Okay, there we go. Yeah, that makes more
51:31
sense. Um
51:40
I I guess if you were So is it was the acceptance letter with a scholarship or
51:47
was it just an acceptance letter?
51:55
It depends on what your other options are. So this would be a good option if
52:00
you have no other options. But if you think that you can do better
52:06
then uh you can pursue other universities.
52:11
Um but if this is better than the other options you have then you might as well
52:18
pursue this university that is in the top 700 in the world. Uh it might seem
52:26
that top 700 is uh low but it is by no means low. I
52:32
think there are thousands of universities worldwide and this would be close to the
52:40
top 1%.
52:53
Okay. I don't think we have followup.
53:00
Do we cuz we kind of need to end the live stream.
53:10
Okay, I think that's that was a that was a pretty pretty satisfying answer. Thank you, Aean. And also, thank you, Aean,
53:17
for joining here today. Uh joining me. Yeah, of course. Uh thank you for having
53:23
me. Yes. Okay, everyone. Uh thank you for joining in and if you're watching this after the
53:28
live stream, thank you for watching. We'll be here next week, next Friday at the same hour. If you have any
53:34
questions, you can leave them in the comment section. You can leave them in our comment section in uh in our
53:40
website. Leave a comment section. And other than that, we'll see you next Friday and have a nice week. Bye.
