Hi everyone, it's global scholarships
0:01
and I'm your host as I hope you're all
0:03
doing well. I hope everything is going
0:05
great and today we'll see the
0:06
application procedure of PFL University
0:08
in Germany. Uh I made a number of
0:10
application tutorials for German
0:12
universities because I know a lot of you
0:14
are interested in studying in Germany.
0:16
It has a very high quality of education
0:18
and the tuitions are well in a lot of
0:20
German universities you don't have to
0:21
pay tuition fees. So it's a very popular
0:23
place. Uh so how do we start? You can go
0:26
to global scholarships.com right now
0:28
which is our platform with a ton of free
0:31
information. Uh you can get like
0:33
scholarships
0:34
uh resources countries etc etc and we
0:37
have a search tool as well. Uh what you
0:40
can do is go here and type in BFL and
0:44
choose BFL University here and you'll go
0:47
to our page for this university and get
0:49
a lot of information uh from the
0:51
location, population, what scholarships
0:53
they have. Uh tuition as you can see
0:56
it's free. German universities usually
0:58
don't have a lot of uh scholarships
1:00
because the education is already free.
1:02
Uh of course there's the DAD
1:04
scholarship, the government scholarship
1:05
which is very popular. We made a video
1:07
about that too. Anyway, here we can just
1:10
click here uh to go and see their
1:12
international students admission page.
1:15
Yeah, here as you can see application
1:16
and enrollment. What would you like to
1:18
apply for? Let's choose bachelor and
1:20
first legal examination. And then we
1:23
have here stepby-step information.
1:25
Application with a foreign study
1:27
qualification. Application with aptitude
1:29
test. First step, second step and
1:32
admission restriction. So here we can
1:34
choose application with a foreign study
1:36
qualification. International applicants
1:38
who have obtained a foreign study
1:40
qualification and are seeking a first
1:42
professional qualification uh namely a
1:45
bachelor must previously request a
1:47
preliminary examination documentation
1:49
VPD at UNISS. Now let's talk about UNIs.
1:53
UNI assist basically is a central
1:55
service a platform that that will take
1:57
care of your documents uh to see if your
2:01
previous education is compatible with
2:03
German universities. So German
2:05
universities don't do that uh
2:07
separately. Uh so if you are applying
2:10
from another country uh for example I'm
2:12
uh let's say applying from Turkey and I
2:15
have a Turkish high school diploma. Uh
2:17
the university by itself does not
2:19
separately go and try to find like if my
2:22
education is uh compatible uh and just
2:26
leaves that to UNI assist. Uh I've made
2:28
a tutorial about how to apply through
2:30
UNI assist how to go through whole the
2:32
whole unic process. You can check it out
2:34
in our uh in our YouTube channel.
2:36
Basically, you don't have to pay pay an
2:39
application fee to the university, but
2:41
you have to pay a service fee to UNI
2:43
assist, which is about €75.
2:45
Uh you give them your information, you
2:47
give them your documents, and in the end
2:50
you get something called a VPD, which
2:52
then you use to apply to the university,
2:54
right? Indian assist is a central
2:56
service center for international study
2:58
applications which checks whether the
3:00
submitted cert certificates are
3:01
equivalent to German secondary school or
3:04
university degrees and therefore
3:06
generally entitle the applicant to study
3:08
in Germany. So if you want to do if you
3:10
want to study any university in Germany
3:12
this is something you have to go for and
3:14
as you can see we have German nationals
3:17
EUA citizens uh we have something called
3:20
a test as or application test you can
3:24
read more about this as well but it's
3:27
pretty much the same process you have to
3:29
go through unassist regardless and then
3:32
fourth step is submit your application
3:35
at the latest 8 weeks before the
3:37
application deadlines for the desired
3:39
degree program, Union Assist will check
3:41
your documents and issue you with a VPD
3:43
if you're a direct or undirect
3:45
university entrance qualification. So
3:47
after that uh the first step is to do
3:50
this the whole VPD uh which I'm not
3:53
going to show you right now but you can
3:54
go and see that from our UNI assist
3:57
tutorial and then second step is
3:59
application which is applying to the
4:00
university apply for a steady place
4:03
within the deadline for applications
4:05
directly via the status and application
4:07
portal of BL University and once you
4:10
have received the VPD which again it can
4:12
take about 8 uh weeks so keep that in
4:15
mind apply directly via the BLFL
4:17
University application portal for
4:19
desired degree programs blah blah blah.
4:21
We can read all of this. I'll just click
4:23
on here on the application portal uh
4:25
which will take us to the portal. As you
4:27
can see it's in German. Here you have
4:30
the language preference. Uh you can turn
4:33
it to English. And here we click on
4:36
registration. We have more information
4:38
here like about please register only
4:40
once, please do not carry uh out the
4:43
self-registration if you have already
4:44
registered etc etc. uh you can read all
4:47
of this but in the end you have to go
4:49
through personal data, contact
4:50
information and password security
4:52
question and data privacy to create your
4:55
application. So I'm going to give them
4:57
some uh madeup information. Obviously
4:59
I'm not going to send out the
5:00
application in the end anyway. So this
5:02
is just for demonstration purposes. I'll
5:05
give them some information. Okay. So we
5:07
give them some information. surname,
5:09
first name, gender, date of birth, uh
5:11
place of birth, country of birth,
5:13
nationality, and then contact
5:15
information, the country. Wait, that's
5:16
Turkey. Why is it okay? Um some random
5:21
address, uh city, email, I use a
5:24
temporary email, of course, and my
5:26
password, security question, subtract 11
5:29
from 12 22, that's 11. And then yeah,
5:33
I've taken note and accept the data
5:36
privacy policies listed at the beginning
5:37
of this page. See all of that here by
5:40
clicking here. And then let's click on
5:42
register. Thank you for registering.
5:44
We've just sent you a welcome email.
5:46
Please follow the instructions there in
5:48
to activate your user account. That
5:50
email also contains your user ID which
5:53
you can use to log in. Uh you get the
5:55
idea. Uh let's click on enter the
5:57
activation code from the welcome email.
6:00
And then you obviously go to your email
6:02
uh and then get the activation code
6:04
which for me is this. And then our
6:08
verification is successful. Now please
6:11
loging in with your user ID or email. Uh
6:13
and then let's use our email and our
6:17
password that we've specified ourselves
6:20
to log in. Yep, there it is. So this is
6:24
our our own account in the platform
6:28
application portal. Here we can click on
6:30
start application. Uh winter term 2025.
6:34
That's the only one we can apply anyway.
6:36
And then we have no requests. Basically
6:39
request is an application. Uh let's add
6:41
a request here. Degree I'm going to
6:44
choose bachelor first exam examination.
6:47
For degree I'll go for bachelor academic
6:50
one core subject. Core subject um I'll
6:53
go chemistry. In which subject related
6:56
semester do you want to start studying?
6:59
Uh like I let's say I have no previous
7:03
university education. So I want to start
7:04
from the beginning. So I choose first
7:07
subject related semester. Uh some of
7:09
these subject can subjects can have
7:11
admission restriction about which you
7:14
can read here. Yeah this one here. Uh so
7:19
I'm going to click on next here. Uh and
7:22
then we have our entrance qualification
7:24
required in abroad. I'll say Turkey.
7:28
Type of entrance qualification. It is a
7:31
foreign higher education qualification.
7:34
Average grade let's say 4.0.
7:37
Date of requirement let's say
7:40
um let's say 1st of June 2024. And click
7:45
on next. In which town did you obtain
7:47
your secondary school living
7:49
certificate? So basically I'm going to
7:50
give them all of this information and
7:52
then secondary school leaving
7:54
certificate. I'm going to just upload
7:56
something random here. You obviously
7:58
have to upload your um like high school
8:01
diploma or whatever it is for you. Have
8:04
you taken a university entrance
8:05
examination in your home country? I'll
8:07
choose nine here. Uh have you already
8:09
studied at a university? Again, I'm
8:11
going to choose no. Please upload the
8:14
highest German language certificate you
8:15
have obtained. Uh as you can see these
8:18
in PDF format. Further information on
8:20
the language requirements for admission
8:22
to studies you can click here. Proof of
8:24
German language proficiency. Again I'll
8:27
upload something random. Have you taken
8:29
the test as or uh application ability
8:33
test sorry uh let's click on next. And
8:36
then of course we have preliminary
8:38
review of documentation again VPD.
8:40
Please upload the VPD by uniis.
8:43
Alternatively, uh recognition blah blah
8:46
blah. Uh you'll just have to upload it
8:48
here. Again, let's upload something
8:50
random and go next. Okay, this page is
8:54
not that is not present in uh English.
8:58
So, you're going to have to use
9:00
translate to understand what it is.
9:02
That's what I did. Basically, they're
9:04
asking you if you're a minor like 17
9:06
years of younger at uh this date and if
9:10
you're living in one of these places in
9:13
PE health basically. Uh so I'm going to
9:15
choose no here. Okay. So this is our
9:18
application request request one uh
9:21
completion. You not entered all the
9:23
necessary data for your application by
9:25
clicking the button submit request on
9:27
the next page. Your application will be
9:29
submitted to the BFL University. You
9:32
only need to send us the application
9:34
form cover letter or as well as the
9:37
corresponding documents. If this has
9:38
been explicitly stated in the
9:40
application form if you would like to
9:42
change your application after you send
9:43
it, please contact etc etc. Again, there
9:46
is no payment because at this point
9:48
you'll have paid um €75 to uh UNI assist
9:53
for your VPD and you don't also pay to
9:57
the university. So yeah, this is our
10:01
this is our application. This is our
10:03
request basically. And if you click here
10:06
on I hereby confirm that the data
10:08
entered is correct. Then you can click
10:11
on submit request which obviously I'm
10:13
not going to do here because I don't
10:15
want to send them FA uh application. Uh
10:18
so yeah, that's pretty much it. This is
10:19
how it works. Uh the only tricky part is
10:22
to get your preliminary review of
10:24
documentation which again you would have
10:26
to do like you would have to do that uh
10:28
you can just watch our tutorial uh on
10:31
UNI assist. It's not all that difficult
10:34
as well but you have to pay 75. Uh after
10:37
you get your VPD it's pretty much done.
10:40
Uh you come uh create your account and
10:43
upload your documents including your VPD
10:45
and submit your request. That's pretty
10:47
much it. I hope you found this
10:49
informative. Uh it was a shorter one
10:51
because other than VPD, there is not
10:53
there isn't that much to do here. Uh but
10:56
if you did find it informative, make
10:58
sure to give us a like and subscribe for
11:00
more content. We have a lot of content
11:02
here about applications, about
11:04
scholarships, about studying abroad. We
11:06
do have live streams as well every
11:08
Friday. I'm joined by Aean who is our
11:11
expert to answer your questions about
11:13
again scholarship, studying abroad, all
11:15
that all that stuff. And also we now
11:18
have a consulting services our
11:21
consulting services. Uh basically you
11:23
can become a member in our YouTube
11:25
channel at which point you will get
11:27
access to our discord our discord server
11:31
from where you can get direct support
11:33
for your applications etc etc. So yeah
11:36
that's pretty much it and see you in the
11:38
next one. Bye.
