Okay, I think we're live. Yeah. Uh, hi everyone. It's global scholarships and
0:09
I'm your host AZ. I hope you're all doing well. We are here with another weekly live stream, another Friday,
0:14
another live stream and as always I'm here joined by Aean. Uh, hi Aean. How are you? How's it going? Hi Aras. I'm
0:23
doing well, thank you. How are you? I'm doing well too. Thank you very much. So everyone um again hi welcome to our live
0:32
stream. If you're new here we do these live streams every Friday. It's basically a Q&A live stream but we also
0:38
talk about uh specific scholarships that are uh currently open for application that are available for Her of course as
0:45
always you're here as well. Uh so yeah uh today we'll see I'm going to tell you
0:50
a little bit about our uh platform our YouTube channel. Hi there. Why I'm so
0:55
dumb? Uh hi, it's great to see you. Uh so yeah, also we're gonna today we're
1:01
gonna talk about uh a scholarship in South Korea that is full a full tution scholarship. U if you do not know, I
1:08
started making polls every Monday about like what kind of scholarship you're most interested in uh among the ones
1:16
that uh that are available right now. For example, um for this week we had like a full
1:22
funding scholarship in China, a full tuition scholarship in United States and a full tuition scholarship in South
1:28
Korea. And you've very clearly chosen um full tition scholarship in South Korea.
1:34
So today we're going to see that actually there are two of those. Uh actually there are four of those. Uh but
1:40
for two of them uh the application deadline is May 30. So I'm not sure if
1:45
you could make it. Uh but the other two we're going to say one of them maybe you'll see see the other one as well. So
1:51
anyway anyway uh if you're new here uh we are global scholarships. Basically we are a platform that uh like share a ton
1:58
of information about scholarships about studying abroad in general. Uh this is
2:03
our website. It's completely free website globalcolarships.com. Uh as you can see
2:09
we have a lot of uh guides here about guides about scholarships, guides about countries, studying in countries and
2:16
like different different features like different uh aspects of studying uh in a
2:21
country like cheap and free universities. We also make videos of these obviously uh you can check our uh
2:29
YouTube channel. We also started making more tutorials uh by the way like application tutorials for universities.
2:36
So yeah, uh you can check any one of these out. Let me share the link with you
2:42
actually. Here we go. That's our website. Check it out. It's a great website. Um so yeah, we also have guides
2:50
about like tests and documents. Uh for example, uh one of the scholarships that
2:56
uh that are open right now in South Korea, full tuition. Uh it's a
3:01
scholarship that gives tuition discount based on your topic score. Uh I have some doubts. Can you please please
3:08
clarify? Yeah, of course. Uh so if you have like a specific question uh the
3:14
more detailed the question better we can help you. Uh whatever it is you can just feel free to ask. So for example uh we
3:21
have topic uh which is test of proficiency in Korean.
3:27
Basically, you go uh like just like you take to or tests uh in English. Uh for
3:34
Korean, you take this test and based on your level, a lot of universities in
3:39
South Korea will give you a certain levels of uh tuition discount. So, if you get like for example highest level
3:46
like level six, uh there are more than more than a couple of universities that
3:51
will give you uh free tuition. So yeah, you can see here as
3:57
well. Anyway, so we have a lot of guides. Um, other than that, we have, as
4:03
you can see, a search tool. This is a great tool. I use all use it all the time for finding scholarships that are
4:09
uh like available um to obviously to make content. Basically, what you can do
4:16
is, as you can see, you can type in a country, type in a university or a
4:21
program or something like that. Let's say you stud want to study in Germany. You can type in Germany and click
4:29
here. And long story short, we have a database. Actually, let me reset
4:36
filters. So, yeah, in our database, we have like 4,500 scholarships. Uh these
4:41
are scholarships that are given by the university to newcoming students.
4:47
Um so newcoming international students by the way all of these are available for foreign students. So there are other
4:55
scholarships as well. Scholarships given by like not universities um external
5:00
institutions. There are scholarships given by universities to already enrolled students. Uh those are not
5:07
here. Uh some scholarships are just available for domestic students. Uh those are also not uh included here.
5:13
These are scholarships that you can apply to if you are an international student. So, we have filters. Um, by the
5:21
way, let me show you what a like a scholarship page looks like. So, let's say uh this scholarship you're
5:28
interested in graduate university fellowships, University of Delaware, it's full funding. uh you can click on
5:35
the uh on the name and then like the page will give you a brief summary like
5:42
level of study uh institution nationalities and eligible subjects. Usually universities don't really care
5:48
about the nationality or the subject. If the university offers that subject usually you can apply to the scholarship
5:54
with that. Uh admission deadline obviously very important. Uh and then what it covers. So this one covers
6:01
voltation fees, stipens for the duration of the scholarship and reduce cost in university's health insurance plan. Of
6:07
course, masters and PhD university uh PhD students can apply for more like
6:13
comprehensive scholarships whereas the best country to work and uh study. So
6:21
I'm guessing you mean like part part-time job or like working outside the university. Um Amen. What would you
6:29
say? Like there are uh different countries have different um like opinions and different
6:36
approaches to international students uh working on part-time jobs. Like what do
6:41
you think is the best country for that? Um
6:47
yeah, I don't think there's a specific uh good country for that. Mhm. Um as as
6:57
you mentioned that there are regulations that are very strict in most countries
7:03
when it comes to uh work hours for international students. So you most of
7:10
the time if not always be limited to those hours and sometimes work is just
7:18
on campus so you can just work within the university not outside the
7:24
university. Um and some other times you can work outside but uh the number of
7:30
hours you can work are very limited to the point where it's insignificance and
7:37
uh it wouldn't really help you cover anything other
7:42
uh other than just the basic stuff there. They want you to rely on your own
7:48
funds to uh study. Yeah. uh in the country u between Australia or
7:56
Canada I would imagine it's Australia just given the the shift in Canada's
8:02
policy towards international students as of recent times. Mhm. Um yeah so there
8:09
are a lot of restrictions in Canada right now for international students that weren't before. I think
8:15
the quotas are far far less than they were uh prior
8:21
to 2023 2022. Um so I think that there is a
8:28
shift there I think mainly because of the housing crisis and then
8:34
uh there are a lot of issues that emerged after that. So I would say that
8:40
Australia is better in that department but it's not much better because there was a shift there as well. Uh yeah so
8:49
between the these two countries were probably among our top
8:54
uh recommendations I would say a couple of years ago but they're not
9:00
anymore. Uh yeah so the conditions are not really great for international
9:06
students. uh in both Canada or Australia. So these
9:11
are countries I wouldn't really consider applying to. Although also uh
9:19
sorry uh I I didn't want to interrupt you. Uh also kind of depends uh Bolv to
9:26
your specific situation like your citizenship. For example, if you are a EUA
9:32
uh citizen that like it's completely different in Europe. For example, in Germany, it is much much easier for you
9:40
to study and work uh in a part-time job. But if you're not from EU or EA, uh then
9:46
there are restrictions as well. So, it kind of also depends on your specific situation. And I think a couple of weeks
9:52
ago we talked about um the opportunities to study and work in Italy as well. Do
9:59
you think anyone it would be a bit easier perhaps to uh get such an opportunity in um Europe compared to
10:08
those other two countries that we mentioned? Uh what would what would be your uh idea on that opinion on that?
10:16
Definitely definitely I think most European countries
10:21
uh are much better than uh both Australia and Canada in terms of
10:27
international student support in terms of just the conditions
10:33
uh overall. Uh Italy for example is just the industry that is really
10:41
important to Italy is tourism and international students are a very
10:46
important part of that working at restaurants or hotels. uh they need
10:52
people, young people uh working in those establishments and therefore there are
11:00
way uh more work opportunities there and
11:08
uh okay I mean I I read a comment that says I would go for Canada because of
11:14
the language but it would be the same as Australia in this case but I'm I'm not
11:19
sure if they in comparison to Italy. Yeah. Uh yeah, for for Italy, you
11:25
definitely need Italian. So English is good and they need uh English speaking
11:32
people. Uh but having Italian as well would be uh a great plus and you would
11:40
find way more jobs or job opportunities if you spoke both languages. So this is probably u
11:49
the double edge of being in Europe. So if you go to France or Spain or Italy,
11:55
you need to or Germany, I mean any country, you need to speak that language
12:00
on top of English to actually be able to uh have a good shot at getting uh jobs.
12:08
uh most of the time English is good but it's not good enough for a lot of the
12:14
jobs that international students can do. Yeah, you said
12:20
double-edged in the sense that like you have to have that but also like if you
12:26
know both like the local language and English it gives you a lot of opportunities in the country, right? In
12:33
that sense, right? You mean what you I meant double-edged in the sense that
12:39
there are work opportunities. So the conditions are really good,
12:45
but the the other part of this is that in order to get access to these
12:50
opportunities, you need to speak the language. So the conditions are good, but they're locked behind something.
12:57
But it's that's kind of that's something that you have a lot of control on. I believe like apparent especially if you
13:03
are u if you're planning ahead for like a couple of years uh because like you
13:10
can apply to a scholarship in Australia or in Canada right and then go
13:17
and try to find a job and like whether you'll get it or not like there there
13:23
are a lot of uh what what would you say unknowns in there but you can pretty
13:29
confidently know that if you study very hard or Italian, study Italian for example very hard or German uh you can
13:37
confidently say that in two years time you'll have a very good grasp but that's something you can control more I would
13:44
say than like going and finding trying to find jobs or trying to find scholarships too I think and that also
13:51
goes for South Korea as well like the one of the scholarships that we're going to see today basically if you you can
13:57
say that uh if I study very hard for two years I can get like confidently say
14:04
that I'll get maybe like a topic level six so yeah
14:10
um makes sense as okay I would go for Canada because of the language I think
14:15
maybe that's one of the reasons why English-sp speakaking countries uh tuition fees are crazily high could be
14:22
could be also the fact that uh like a lot of those countries has have been um
14:29
I I mean I I'm not sure if that that would be a lot that would be very smart to say
14:35
that because it's also very high for their own students as well. Um so I I
14:41
think a lot of people do accept those very high tuition fees going to to those
14:47
countries to study abroad. uh because usually those are the countries that you know that you'll get a very like
14:53
prestigious um degree and like the countries are very famous. Uh so yeah cuz there are
15:01
lots of job opportunities in Australia with high salary. Yeah. Uh but also
15:07
housing is kind of nightmarish in Australia as
15:12
well. Um, anyone do you want to say anything about that? Like uh that comment saying I think maybe that's one
15:18
of the reasons why English speaking countries tition fees are crazily high. I think that they said that while we're
15:25
talking about uh you know how there are a lot of job opportunities
15:31
in like countries in Europe but there's also the fact that you have to learn the local language. Uh meanwhile you can go
15:38
to Canada knowing just or Australia just knowing English. Uh what would you say about that? Do you want to say anything?
15:44
Yeah, I think I think you brought up a good point. Uh in most of these countries, education is way more
15:54
uh it's it's not just about education, it's about prestige. It's about the big
16:01
universities and then there's a trend that all the universities follow.
16:07
Um so the tuition does not really
16:13
reflect anything uh when it comes to
16:20
uh I don't see a correlation with with the language in general but I just see
16:26
that it's it's a trend in the country. So uh regardless of uh
16:32
whether you speak English and you don't need to speak another language uh
16:37
education is as you as you said expensive anyway to everyone not only to international students but uh everyone
16:46
in the country so so for countries like the United States I I don't see
16:52
uh how language can be a factor but yeah so being in big cities
16:59
Uh it's it's just capitalism in general is that that's all what it's all about.
17:04
It's just capitalism. Everything costs and education costs a lot because uh you
17:10
get a degree that potentially helps you make money.
17:16
So it's basically all investments and that investment will
17:23
uh uh probably lead to generating uh more money for
17:29
yourself. So that's how they see it. It's not really uh about uh being able to speak English.
17:38
Yeah. It's it's a it's a cultural thing as well like the way they see uh higher education too. Famous cities and
17:45
countries are expensive. Yeah, that is that is very true. Uh and it also really kind of uh plays in like in c certain
17:55
countries as well. For example, like a in a country like South Korea, Japan uh or United States, there will be a lot of
18:02
places that are very expensive. Uh like for example, uh Soul in Korea, Tokyo in
18:09
Japan. And if you're in the United States like if California or like east coast, New York and that area is
18:15
extremely expensive. But if you go out of the most like the most famous places, famous cities a bit uh or for example in
18:24
Europe too. Um then ex like your living expenses and the prices will go down
18:30
drastically. uh in Europe that kind of also exist in terms of uh there are a
18:37
lot of touristic places in Italy for example uh like there there is the fact
18:43
that for example if you want to study in Venice uh if you if you get like if you
18:50
get if you decide to live on a more touristic place like in the city center
18:55
uh your rent will be like €800 900 euros whereas if you live kind of like close
19:02
to the city, it could be about €400 or something like that. Uh yeah, it can change quite a lot with within the
19:10
countries and cities as well is the point I was trying to make. So yeah. Uh
19:17
okay, I don't think Yeah, I I just graduated from high school this year and
19:22
scored 3.2 GPA. I'm looking to study bachelor's abroad in business administration or economics with fully
19:28
funded scholarship with monthly statement. So, uh I shared the link with you uh for our search tool. You can use
19:36
that to find uh scholarships for yourself. Uh let me show you how. Uh basically, you can filter by let's say
19:43
if you have a country in mind. No, you didn't mention um let's say for
19:49
bachelors. Let's say you want full full funding scholarships. Uh if you do not
19:54
know full funding means it covers the tuition fees and then gives you something more and they specified
20:00
they're interested in a scholarship that gives monthly stipent. I would say your
20:06
best bet might be Chinese universities with that one. Uh I'm not sure about
20:12
their education in business administration or economics. Uh but they have some universities universities with
20:19
great education um especially in physics and more would you say natural
20:25
sciences and they do have very good scholarships as well very generous scholarships um so you might want to
20:32
look into that but also there's there are some in United States uh I don't think they're open right now a lot of
20:40
them so yeah you can filter here uh you can choose the subject uh business. Hang
20:46
on. I don't think we have that, do we? Nope. Yeah, you can choose business
20:52
right now. Right here, I guess. So, yeah. Uh, other than that, Aean, do you have any insights that you want to
20:58
share? Uh, they are just graduated from high school, scored 2 point uh 3.2 GPA,
21:06
looking for um business administration or economics, but fully funded scholarship with monthly stipen.
21:16
Yeah, I think uh for especially for bachelors, you want to go
21:21
for automatic scholarships which are scholarships that come with admission.
21:26
So uh there are a lot of universities that offer those based on your GPA and I
21:32
think that uh there are universities that offer automatic scholarships for students with
21:38
a 3.0 GPA. Mhm. Um, so you might want to
21:44
look into those. Uh, just look for automatics
21:50
scholarships and, uh, I think we have an article about that and but it's not
21:56
really exhaustive. There are way too many for us to cover them in one
22:01
article. So, you just might want to check individual institutions.
22:08
And these are scholarships you don't even have to apply for. You just have to apply to the university and if you're
22:13
admitted, you get the scholarship. Uh admittedly, they're not really all fully
22:21
funded. Um sometimes they uh cover full tuition, sometimes it's a stipen,
22:28
sometimes it's a one-time award. Uh but I believe that there are a few fully
22:34
funded. Um sometimes uh the fully funded ones
22:39
require more than just your GPA. So it would be your GPA plus a standardized
22:46
exam score. So it would be the SAT or the ACT plus your GPA in order to get
22:54
more uh perks. So they're all merit based. And I've seen a university that
22:59
even uh I mean I'm talking mainly about the United States here uh that offers uh
23:05
a scholarship based on your language uh exam. So your standardized language exam
23:12
be it the eyelets or the TOEFL um you would get a scholarship for that as
23:18
well. So if you have a good GPA or the
23:23
required GPA plus the required uh SAT ACT uh exam score you have a good shot at
23:30
getting a fully fun scholarship. Okay. Thank you very much. By the way
23:36
guys, uh as I said, for example, uh in United States, uh when you leave like both
23:45
coasts and you like go more into like the middle side of United States,
23:53
uh living expenses really really go down very fast. like um it might be more than
24:01
$1,000, $1,500 to $2,000 you need to live in. For example, in New York or
24:07
like Los Angeles. Meanwhile, in Arkansas or Oklahoma or Tennessee, it's it might
24:13
be like $800, $900 or something like that. UL has fully funded for bachelor.
24:20
Very rare from Yeah. Uh UK universities do not really have a lot of tuition uh a
24:26
lot of full funding and full tuition scholarships. Uh but that
24:31
is hang on let me see it's not open right now though
24:42
right college [Music] London I mean most of for example you
24:48
can see that there are like 13 scholarships in this university but most of them are like uh either partial uh UK
24:56
has a lot of scholarships uh like sanctuary scholarships or scholarships for uh displaced
25:03
people. So we also made a tutorial uh for this university as well. As you can
25:09
see tions are very high. I think it's just like Anglo-Saxon culture uh the way they see their education high higher
25:15
education. Uh yeah, I think you're talking about this one. It's full funding. Um it's not not open right now.
25:24
uh 100% of tuition fees, living stipent, fixed allowance for additional costs for 10 recipients for duration of the
25:30
course, 100% reduction in tuition fees. Yeah.
25:36
So it is like it is very rare and of
25:41
course it is very competitive. Do Australian universities have full tuition or monthly stipent?
25:48
Yeah, unless April. Uh I think we made a number of videos about those. Uh we only
25:54
started making videos like like these uh a couple of weeks ago like maybe more
26:00
than a month. Uh but yeah there at this moment there are not that many
26:06
scholarships that are open uh for application. So, Australian universities. Uh, we can just check it.
26:13
Australia, right? Let's choose the country. Uh, full tuition or yeah, there
26:19
are a lot of scholarships in Australian countries. Full tuition or full funding.
26:24
Um, but they're they're very competitive. So, let's choose for example, let's see say see full tuition
26:30
for bachelors, right? Seven of them. None of them are
26:36
open right now for application. Wait, is this Yeah, Monese is open. Huh, it
26:43
is. Huh? I didn't realize that. An award covering 100% tuition fee and invitation
26:51
to apply for a place uh in the leadership program. Monache Minds for first year students. I think we made
26:57
also made a tutorial for this. No, hang on. Let me see. I think I made a
27:02
tutorial for this university's application. No, I don't think so. Yeah. Uh for example, this is a scholarship
27:09
that is currently open for application. Sanctuary has a lot of provided by the schools in Yeah. Yes. Uh
27:16
a lot of refugee scholarships, a lot of sanctuary scholarships in United Kingdom. But other than that, it's not
27:22
uh it's very much desired as a place to study. Um but it is very expensive in
27:29
terms of both education and living. Can you tell eligibility requirements for these scholarships? So for this one for
27:36
example high achieving individuals you know what first I'm going to share with you the link. So this is just for um
27:44
just for full tion you can also uh filter for full funding. There are just
27:50
three of them Australia awards is this government scholarship? Yeah. Um we can also look
27:59
at this uh this is the government their government scholarship only eligible nationalities are these and these are
28:06
the institutions. Uh admittedly I don't have a ton of information about Australian government scholarships. Uh
28:13
this is also past deadline as of this moment. Um this is a very generous
28:19
scholarship obviously as of this moment. I think only this one is open for application.
28:26
um high achieving individuals with the capability of serving as ambassadors for me. Those who intend to enroll
28:32
full-time, those who meet the required academic achievements. Uh you can watch the video here. If you have any
28:38
questions, you can leave them here. Uh he only answers all of them. He's the founder of global
28:44
scholarships. And so yeah, eligibility international
28:49
students, you're not eligible if you are any one of these selection criteria.
28:55
Hang on. What is the application procedure? There's no separate application. Oh, okay. You only apply to
29:00
the university. So, I'm going to share this link with you. Uh, hang on. So, we don't have any
29:07
we don't see any deadlines here. Let me see about the university
29:18
deadlines. Okay. So I guess like applications can be open for all year
29:26
for different programs. Can you tell eligibility requirements for these scholarships? Yeah, you can click on the
29:32
link to see specifically. There aren't that many eligibility criteria for this.
29:38
I mean you just have to apply for the university anyway. Um so kind of like that. This is what uh Aean meant when he
29:45
said automatic scholarships. It's just you apply for the university and that's it. Uh, are you going to still continue
29:52
with the $3,000 scholarships? I think so. I don't have a lot of information on
29:58
that, but uh, let me see. So,
30:04
uh, wait a minute. Where is it? Yeah, here it is. So, we have an external scholarship, $3,000 scholarship,
30:12
uh, to one international student. So if you want information, you can just
30:17
check out this link. I'm going to share another link. I don't want to share too many links in the chat, but uh yeah,
30:24
there it is. So I think that's the only one that I can find right now.
30:30
Uh hang on, who was it to ask for that?
30:36
Uh see yeah Austral yeah bolt hair but they are bold hair. Yeah so these are
30:44
this is the only one I can find right now open for application. Um, Aman, do
30:49
you have anything you want to say about this? Like Australia University's full tuition or monthly step or maybe you you
30:56
want to add anything about the other comments uh like the $3,000 scholarship
31:04
um or we talked about sanctioned scholarship in United Kingdom. Anything
31:10
you want to chime in? Um, so yeah,
31:17
for for Australia, um, if you want more information on uh
31:23
the Australia Award scholarships, you might want to check our scholarship recipient stories. There
31:30
are a lot of them who received the Australia award scholarships and
31:36
uh the their accounts are very detailed. Uh when it comes to uh the scholarship
31:43
they they tell you all about it uh what they did to get it. There are different
31:49
different degrees they pursued. Uh most I mean I think it's only offered to uh
31:55
graduate students. Is it? I'm not sure. Wait, hang on. Um, it's bachelor too.
32:04
You're Oh, so it's both. Yeah, but most of the recipients we get get the the
32:11
mast's one. Uh, these scholarships are
32:16
uh typically like the the biggest quotas are given to graduate
32:22
students. Um, yeah. So if you want to learn more uh check their stories. They
32:29
studied in different uh universities as well. So
32:35
uh you might really benefit from their experience and most of them are really
32:40
welcoming to other people reaching out to them. They leave their contact information for other students who
32:48
probably want more information than there is in the article itself. So, yeah, feel free to do that as well.
32:57
Um, yeah. Uh, concerning our scholarships, the $3,000 scholarships as
33:03
a global scholarship scholarship, uh, it is still open until May 31st. So, I
33:09
think it will close within a week. So, someone also asked, will we get notified
33:16
even if we don't get the scholarship? Um, oh, oh, you mean
33:24
um I don't think you will, but you will see the people who got it on on the
33:31
website. So, we will announce the people who who got it. I think it's just one
33:36
person this time. Last time it was three people, but this time is one person. Uh
33:42
so we will announce the winner on the website and then automatically you would know that uh you weren't chosen if you
33:51
weren't and if you were you would also well we we would contact the winner for
33:56
sure but uh there are a lot of applications and I don't really think
34:01
there's a point in contacting everyone if we announce the winner. So and
34:08
there's only one. Okay. Thank you very much. Um, by the
34:14
way, yeah, I didn't talk about I didn't get to the scholarship recipient. Basically, if you go to our website
34:20
right now, we have a section called uh scholarship stories. Basically, these are the stories of people who have
34:26
earned uh very popular scholarships. Uh, you can see them here. For example,
34:32
these are just some examples. There are more. You can click here and see all the
34:37
stories. And hang on, there's going to a filter. Yeah. Uh you can filter here by
34:43
country, by by degree, uh funding. I mean, I don't think there are any partial funding scholarships here. Uh
34:49
you can click on any one of them. Uh you know what? Let's say for example, Australia. Let's say Canada, right?
34:54
Today we talked about Canada as well. Uh for example, these are people uh who got
35:00
different scholarships in Canada. uh directly university fully funded Arasmus
35:06
Mundus um let's see yeah training
35:13
scholarships yeah different universities as well and you can click on any one of them to uh hear about their story in
35:22
detail and again usually they also have contact information uh how to apply in more than one
35:28
universities in Kazakhstan government scholarship because they say passport report already exist. I have no
35:36
information. Uh thank you very much Donat Boy. If if there are any other
35:42
questions that uh you want to ask, we'll do our best to help best answer them for
35:48
you. Um Aliyah Jabin, I I'm never I don't have any information about
35:53
Kazakhstan government scholarships. Uh Aean, do you?
35:59
I'm I'm not sure if I understand the question in the first place. Uh what do
36:04
you mean by because they say passport already exists? Oh, so you mean when you try to
36:12
apply to a second university, you get this this
36:17
as it tells you that you've already applied and that your passport already
36:23
exists. I mean, this is the only thing that makes sense to me right now.
36:29
Um, yeah, maybe like I actually Mhm. No, no, I'm sorry. Yeah, I think it's maybe
36:36
something like you are trying to create two accounts with the same um like
36:41
passport number or something like that. Uh I I guess that's that kind of mistake. That's also what I got from
36:48
that question. I'm sorry mean to interrupt you. Go ahead. Yeah, I was going to say that I am really not
36:56
familiar with the scholarship. is not a scholarship that a lot of people apply
37:01
to or ask about. Uh so I don't have any general
37:07
information on this, but it just seems to be an issue with the platform rather
37:12
than a question about the scholarship itself. Uh so if it's an issue with the platform
37:20
and you cannot apply to multiple universities, you might just want to
37:25
contact uh contact them and they will probably
37:31
uh fix your issue. Okay, thank you very much. Amen.
37:38
Um so let's talk about today's scholarship
37:43
of the day. Um so for that uh the scholarship we're
37:49
going to see is in Sachon National University in South Korea. Uh you can
37:56
just Google that or for this this goes for any university actually. You can
38:01
just type in the university's name and then type in globalcolarships.com. Uh and then you'll
38:08
be faced with our pages. As you can see this is our page for this university.
38:14
It's sunshine in South Korea, not in Soul, for example. That's one thing that we talked about today. Uh, which means
38:21
it's it's it's in southern section. It it means it's way more affordable than Soul. Um, as you can see, not a very
38:29
large university and has six different scholarships. And one of them is actually really good, uh, a full funding
38:36
scholarship, but it's for graduates, per scholarships. I think we made a video about this one as well. Today we're
38:42
going to talk about undergraduate scholarship of this university. Uh but before that a little bit about the
38:49
university. Uh as you can see we have like the deadlines uh admission pages here. It's open for application right
38:56
now. Uh, and the tuition fee is about like five four to five million
39:02
South Korean ones, which means uh, which is about like $3,000
39:07
$4,000, right? And if you want to see where the university is and what it
39:12
looks like, let's go and do that. So, yeah, this is where the
39:17
university is. Again, as I said, not in Soul, but in the southern section, uh,
39:22
southern part of South Korea. Uh this is what the university looks
39:28
like. So yeah, if you want this Yeah, I like apparently you're more interested
39:33
in full tuition uh scholarships in South Korea. So this might be it's not like
39:40
one of the greatest universities in South Korea. Uh but it's also not in
39:46
Soul, so it is way more way more affordable. I tried to find um an
39:52
estimation for living costs. I couldn't I would say probably a little less than
39:58
what you would get in uh soul. So yeah, this is the
40:04
university. Um you can get more information about other scholarships here. Of course, there are external
40:09
scholarships like uh global career scholarship and our scholarship. Um you
40:14
can leave your comments here. Again, he only answers every single question in our leave a comment section. But other
40:21
than that that's this is it about the university. Uh you can just click here to go and see about this specific
40:29
scholarship. This is for bachelors. Uh again it is full tuition.
40:34
There are no specific nationalities. There are no specific subjects. Every subject in this university will do. H
40:41
you have to apply until June 30. You don't have to apply for the scholarship. You can just apply for the university
40:48
and that's it. It's an automatic scholarship. uh if you get it, you get it.
40:53
So again, what it covers is 100% of tuition fee. It's pretty straightforward
40:58
scholarship in the sense that there aren't that many details. You apply to the university if they uh like your
41:05
application uh you're admitted and then you might get the full uh tuition as well. There are no eligibility criteria.
41:12
Just need to be an international bachelor student or applicant of this university.
41:18
Um yeah, again no application. We've made a video before about this one.
41:24
Again, you can leave your questions here. And from the university's page, there's there's that much information if
41:31
I'm being honest. Uh basically, if you're new, uh you can like there are
41:37
other scholarships as well. uh you can get here like full tuition and after
41:43
you're enrolled again as I said the universities also have different scholarships for enrolled students
41:50
students who are already uh in that university basically it kind of depends
41:57
on your GPA it doesn't really give much information about this what it means
42:03
like full tuition fees one full tuition fees two I'm not sure I understand that
42:08
Um, but yeah, it kind of depends on your GPA. And if your GPA is high, you'll
42:13
keep the full tuition scholarship and you don't have to pay about $4,000 every year. And then for
42:20
graduates, you have these basically. Um, Aean, do you want to add
42:25
anything about this? Uh it's kind of straightforward but I also didn't really
42:30
understand this part like full tuition fees one and two they didn't really specify what that means in any other
42:37
place. Uh by the way you can also get information uh about housing here they had a section about that like how much
42:45
it costs blah blah blah. So yeah uh I'm sorry go ahead.
42:53
Um yeah I really don't know. Um, it's not clear anywhere what
43:00
uh tuition fees.
43:06
Um, I really Yeah, I I thought it was it
43:11
was semester 1 and two, but it wouldn't make sense. Um, yeah, there is no
43:19
specification anywhere on the page as to what tuition one and two means.
43:27
Uh but yeah, as you said, it's a really
43:32
uh straightforward scholarship. Uh you just need to apply to the university
43:38
uh with a good GPA and you could get a full tuition uh scholarship.
43:46
Um, and if you get a if you have a lower GPA, then you get uh a half tuition. And
43:57
I don't I I'm not sure why the GPA of 2.5 or higher would be full tuition, but
44:04
3.0 or higher would be uh half of tuition.
44:12
Yeah. I mean I thought maybe like full tuition 2 is in some way better than
44:18
full tuition fee one but then uh at GPA 4 they say full tition one and two uh
44:25
yeah I'm kind of lost that is actually yeah I'll have to look
44:32
into that probably on the Korean website because maybe they they specify that
44:40
there but it's uh it will be quite
44:46
uh the task because it doesn't take you to the page directly and you have to look for it manually. I might I might do
44:54
that and we could probably talk about it next stream I guess at the beginning because
45:01
I'm really curious right now. I I want to know what this means.
45:07
Okay. Uh, anything else you want to add about the scholarship? Again, it's
45:12
pretty straightforward. Not much to say really. Yeah. Yeah, it's really straightforward.
45:18
The only confusing part is that. So, the rest you just have to apply to the university uh with a good GPA and uh as
45:27
far as we can tell, the higher your GPA, the better the reward. Uh we don't know
45:34
what the reward is exactly, but uh if you have a GPA of 2.5 or higher, uh you
45:43
have a chance of getting a scholarship that covers at least half of your
45:48
tuition. Yeah. And we can I guess confidently say that there is a full tuition scholarship in the horizon
45:56
somewhere if you if your GPA is high. Anyway, that was that scholarship. Uh so
46:01
I try to continue. It says sir I'm from India suggest me some fully funded. I got 86.6 in my class 12 and I have only
46:12
Mi. Uh so in like for in general try to
46:17
continue if you can be bit more specific about what you are interested in uh can
46:24
give us a bit more detail we might be better able to help you. Uh but also you
46:30
can you can see our search tool for that. Uh it would be very
46:36
helpful. Actually let me share the link. A lot of scholarships do not really um
46:42
again care about the nationality. There are some scholarships that are uh
46:47
specifically offered to um certain nations. Um I think there are some
46:53
scholarships that are specifically offered to Indians uh people from India or uh I think there are some
47:00
scholarships. Hang on. Was it was it UCL? Uh that scholarship I think
47:06
so hang on. So there are some also some
47:13
scholarships that have uh additional codas for people from India. Hang on. Was this one of them global
47:22
um knowledge which I
47:31
think no I don't think yeah for example three scholarships covering full tuition
47:37
fees specifically for students from India um so yeah normally scholarships
47:43
don't really care about nationality but there are some that are specifically for
47:48
uh specific nations. You can see those uh by choosing your nationality, India
47:57
here, right? Um so let me
48:03
see for example these ones. Yeah. Okay. So it it will first
48:10
give you the scholarships that um that specifically mention people from India
48:17
like Indian nationality but after that it's going to give you uh scholarships that are just for every nation uh that
48:25
doesn't matter. So uh the first ones you'll see are either for like specific
48:31
nations nationalities that includes India.
48:37
Um so yeah let me share the link with you. Hang on. Actually let me filter for full funding. So there are about
48:45
361 scholarships. Um so for example
48:50
global studies scholarship does this specific? Yeah, I think this was from
48:56
South. Yeah, for example, this one, of course, uh it's past deadline. Uh so you can look into this
49:03
as well. You said bachelor, right? Okay. Uh I also filter for that
49:10
one. So yeah, about 141 uh including this. So I'm going to share
49:17
this link with you. You can filter further if you're interested in specific things. for example, specific locations,
49:24
uh specific subjects, or if you're looking for one
49:31
that is open right now, yeah, there are five, but again, uh two of them are
49:38
sanctuary. Uh two of them are in China. Uh there's one in Hong Kong that you can
49:45
apply to that is for all nationalities. We very recently made a video for this
49:50
as well in a live stream. It's a really good scholarship of course. It covers
49:55
tuition fees, accommodation, living statement and enrichment scholarship. So you might want to check it out. Um so
50:03
yeah, other than that, Aean, do you want to say anything? It's an it's not a very
50:08
uh specific question like general suggest me fully funded scholarships. uh
50:15
maybe you have an idea like you have an insight to give a based on their uh credentials like their uh grades and
50:24
etc. Um I think the same advice I gave earlier about automatic scholarships
50:29
that applies to uh all students who want to apply for bachelor's
50:36
uh scholarships. Um the other route to take is to go for government
50:43
uh scholarships. Uh we have seen a few today like the Australia war scholarship
50:49
for example. Most government scholarships are or target international students.
50:56
But uh for example, the global Korea scholarships, the mech scholarships,
51:04
um Australia awards, uh the New Zealand government scholarships
51:10
uh are all scholarships that are offered to both bachelors and international students. Um they have quotas in uh
51:19
different countries. So different countries get a different number of uh
51:25
scholarships. So it is competitive but you would have also
51:32
uh this edge of uh competing with people within your own
51:39
countries or within your own country for seats rather than with rather than
51:45
globally. So it limits the competition. it would still be competitive but uh it
51:52
would still be good to go for. So I would say either go for automatic scholarships in countries that offer
51:59
them or go for uh governmental scholarships and I named a few. I'm
52:05
pretty sure that there are more. Yeah. So you have uh the article where we have a lot of
52:14
scholarships. Hi, I'm Zology graduate with
52:21
72.96 percentage NTS6.
52:26
Um, I'm well then first of all um is that the question?
52:33
So okay I I think that's good enough details for uh your situation but also
52:39
like if you can give us bit detail about what you want to do like for example do
52:46
you want to study zology as a graduate in any country that you could find
52:53
scholarships in is that the case uh so that maybe we can give you a
53:00
better idea here again like when it comes to specific
53:05
subject if you want to search for scholarships especially in our search tool uh what what you're going to have
53:12
to do is you can choose zology and I'm pretty sure oh it is not
53:19
here huh I thought it would be here it is not so um
53:25
basically what you're going to need to do is choose all subjects which is
53:30
the default setting. Uh but when you first of all let's choose for example masters. Uh maybe you're interested in
53:37
full funding, right? Um and then if you have a location in mind, you can filter for that. But what we're going to have
53:44
to do is if you're interested in a specific scholarship, you're going to have to go and see that
53:51
university. This is for example, National University of Singapore, right?
53:56
then click on their admission and see if the university offers that program for
54:02
that like graduate or like masters right. Uh you can see here for example
54:08
admissions admissions outcome uh these are applicant groups um
54:15
programs we have international qualifications here
54:21
um of course it changes based on the university application guides sample
54:29
forms yeah program prerequisites for example you can see see it here uh
54:34
undergraduate programs of course but hang on you should be looking at
54:39
graduate programs anyway you get the idea so you
54:44
have to make sure that because if a scholarship says in our in our website that is uh it says all subjects offered
54:52
at Sancho National University it means that if the university does offer zology as a program you can apply to this
54:59
scholarship uh with zology so you still didn't really clarify if you're
55:07
interested in uh pursuing the same subject as a graduate student. So I think we're going
55:12
to assume that Aean uh do you have any uh like any opinions on this uh based on
55:21
their like program perhaps their grades and their alt score?
55:29
Um yeah, so I would give them the same advice. Uh
55:35
what you need to do is uh short list uh your options. You need
55:41
to choose a country that you want to uh study in. Um then just research a bunch of
55:51
universities. then short list those universities and limit them to uh the
55:56
ones that offer the program you're looking for and then from there see which ones offer scholarships for that
56:02
program and then of those which ones
56:08
uh have the requirements that fit uh what you have. So those that uh have a
56:16
requirement of a GPA that is equivalent to yours or
56:22
lower. Uh and and that's how you do it. So it's it's all about starting from there's the rest of
56:30
the question though. Uh maybe you want to read it.
56:36
Um yeah. So I am a zoologology graduate with a 72.96 percentage and I let
56:43
6.5 and contributed 7 to8 butterflies first time to state and
56:50
country is a good profile from the scholarships. I'm not sure what seven to
56:58
eight butterflies means. I think something is lost in the translation.
57:04
Yeah. Um Is it all correct? It is. Is it
57:09
something in your own country perhaps? Yeah, that is firstly it. I hoped you
57:18
you'd have an idea about what that means. Not at all. Okay. Yeah. So I think the
57:24
GPA is an equivalent to a C which is generally
57:32
um not enough to get a fully funded
57:37
scholarship. I think you probably would want to sit for
57:43
uh a standardized exam in order to solidify your GPA. maybe uh you had some
57:51
extinuating circumstances uh and the GPA doesn't really reflect
57:57
your real level. So if you think that you might want to
58:02
uh go for for a standardized exam and
58:08
add it with your application. Um, strong letters of recommendation
58:14
uh go a long way and I have seen a lot of students with low GPA get
58:21
scholarships just because their recommendations were that were that good. If you have any work experience
58:28
uh relating to your subject, that's a plus as well.
58:34
So yeah, it's not always about GPA. Sorry. Yeah, that's I think that's what
58:39
they're saying. Butterflies first time discovered in my country and state. So, zology. We didn't connect the dots here.
58:49
So, yeah, I think that I I'm sorry I interrupted you because I think that kind of counts as uh work experience
58:55
that you were just mentioning. Yeah. Yeah. So any any kind of uh
59:04
real concrete thing in the real world that you contributed to in relation to
59:10
your subject is really important when it comes to uh scholarships. They're not
59:15
really looking for uh theoretical knowledge exclusively, but they want to
59:23
give scholarships to people who are uh ready to make change in the real world
59:28
and people who have already done so would have a significant
59:34
uh edge over a lot of applicants. So I would say that counts for a lot and uh
59:40
in your personal statement uh you need to emphasize that you need to get really
59:46
good uh letters of recommendation with people who supervised you or who have
59:54
uh been in the know about uh the butterflies for example or
1:00:01
anything that is related to your subject that is of uh significance. So, you might want to
1:00:09
leverage all of those. Even if your GPA is low, there's a high chance that you
1:00:14
get a scholarship just because of other factors.
1:00:20
Yeah. Okay. Uh and as you can as you can see while for example, I was going
1:00:26
through like universities that offer graduate assistantships and then looking at their programs. For example, I think
1:00:32
it was this one. Eastern Michigan University. They offer zology uh is another graduate program but not a
1:00:39
graduate program. I'm working with butterfly society as district coordinator
1:00:45
voluntarily. Yeah, I think that that also uh very much counts as what Aean
1:00:50
mentioned. Thank you very much. Aean uh Farhan asks with 3.04 GPA can I get a fully funded
1:00:57
scholarship for engineering? So I don't really have a a very good uh grasp on
1:01:04
like what GPA uh mean in this specific situation. Uh
1:01:09
so I I'm just going to defer to you Aean. What do you think? Yeah. So as I was just mentioning GPA is
1:01:17
just one little part of the process. It's not everything. So it's not just because you have a 4.0 GPA you'll be
1:01:25
necessarily getting a scholarship. um that's not how it works. There are a
1:01:32
lot of things that are taken into consideration and one of them is who you are as an applicant and that is uh
1:01:39
expressed in your personal letter that is expressed in your essays and that is
1:01:45
what the people who wrote your letters of recommendation say about you. So this
1:01:53
is a tiny tiny portion of uh the selection process. Yes, the GPA
1:02:00
sometimes tell the selection committee that um you are fit for the degree but
1:02:10
most of the time it doesn't really tell much about you as a person. So the most
1:02:18
uh I think the thing they care about the most is you showing leadership qualities
1:02:26
um as well as initiative of any kind. So, if you're applying to study in South
1:02:33
Korea and you already speak Korean and you've already made the effort to speak Korean and you self-taught yourself,
1:02:41
you're giving yourself an edge over everyone else because you're already showing them that you're ready to be
1:02:48
part of the culture, part of the country. And that goes a long way. And
1:02:53
that would be, at least, as far as I'm concerned, more important than your GPA.
1:03:00
Okay, thank you very much. So, Mormax asks, "If I miss the application deadline, is there any way to get into
1:03:07
the university by emailing them or something?" I would say probably, in my
1:03:13
opinion, I guess not. But let's just ask Aean. Aean, what do you think?
1:03:20
Um, yeah. So, if the deadline is passed, it's passed. then there is nothing you can do about it unless the university
1:03:27
just decides that they want to extend it and that sometimes
1:03:32
happens. Um but most of the time it does not. So you'll just have to uh wait for
1:03:40
next year unfortunately or apply to another university uh that is still open. So the the
1:03:49
deadline is a deadline for a reason. Yeah. Maybe like if in a very minor chance there
1:03:57
might be an uh exception maybe like the deadline is extended or the deadline is kind of
1:04:05
could be different for different um applicants. Maybe you can look into
1:04:10
that. I mean in the slightest hope I guess. Okay. So guys uh this was our
1:04:17
live stream. Um, we're going to kind of end it here.
1:04:22
Uh, if you have any other questions, uh, just feel free to ask them right now in the chat. Otherwise, we're going to end
1:04:28
the live stream. Uh, we're at the end. Uh, thank you very much everyone for joining in. I'm just going to give you a
1:04:36
like a minute to uh, type down your questions if you have any. Um, if you're
1:04:42
watching this, is there any country that start class soon?
1:04:48
What do you mean? I
1:04:53
mean, I think it's pretty kind of uh the same overall. There are there are some
1:05:00
countries that are open for application. Is that if that's what you mean? Uh some countries that that has more
1:05:07
universities. I think a lot of not a lot of but quite a number of German universities are accepting applications
1:05:13
but usually like those are not uh I mean at any given point there will be a lot
1:05:20
of countries that are that have universities accepting applications for specific programs. Uh I mean what do you
1:05:29
make of this question? Yeah, I'm not sure what star class suit means in terms
1:05:39
of I would say that most of Europe right now and even in the US this is the end
1:05:45
of the year rather than the beginning. So there will be a short uh period of of
1:05:52
nothing because it's summer then uh admissions start again uh in most
1:06:00
countries I think around July August but this is mostly
1:06:05
for bachelors because for masters uh applications are open all the time
1:06:12
they're rolling admission so you can apply whenever you want. It's just that the admission would be at specific times
1:06:19
of the year. Um yeah. So if for bachelors it's more strict and
1:06:26
applications start around July, August. Um but for masters it's most of the time
1:06:34
rolling admission so you can apply whenever you want. Okay. Thank you very much.
1:06:40
Um Wild Tan you're very welcome. will be here next week. If you have any questions, you can also leave them in
1:06:46
our comment section. Sometimes we can answer them, sometimes we cannot. But uh in any
1:06:52
case, yep, I want also made the checklist of butterflies or the refers. My district loved your live stream. Wait
1:06:59
for your next live. Yep. Uh it's great to see you here and thank you very much for joining in. We'll be also here next
1:07:06
Friday at the same hour. If you have any questions, uh just feel free to ask them in our comment section or you can wait
1:07:13
until our next live stream. Also, if you're interested, you can uh just like
1:07:19
vote on our polls as well that kind of I think this week I'm going to try to find out whether you uh you are you guys are
1:07:26
more interested in scholarships for bachelors or graduate programs. Uh so yeah like if you if you can have a
1:07:33
moment to just vote in the polls it will be better for all of us like we can make
1:07:38
more content that is uh more interesting for you. So yeah again I thank very much
1:07:44
for everyone for joining in. Thank you Aean for coming here and answering our questions.
1:07:51
Yes, of course. Thank you for having me. Okay. And all right then everyone. See
1:07:57
