All right, I think we're live now. Hi everyone, it's Global Scholarships and I'm your host AZ. I hope you're all
0:11
doing well. I hope everything is going great and today as always we are here with another weekly live stream, another
0:16
Friday, another live stream. As always, I'm here joined by Aean. Hi Aean, how
0:22
are you? How is it going? Um, hi S. I'm doing well, thank you. How
0:27
are you? I'm doing well. too. Thank you very much. Anyone? Uh anyway, everyone.
0:33
So, if you're new here, we are global scholarships. Uh what do you mean live chat is
0:40
currently available? Hang on, let me see something. Uh
0:48
is it something to does it have something to do with uh like my connection or something? It
0:56
says live chat is not currently available. Uh I mean can you see the live chat for
1:04
example? Can you like write anything? Is it me? Is it unavailable for me or is it unavailable for everyone? Yeah, I think
1:11
it's just for you because someone just said hello in the chat. Ah hi there. If
1:17
uh hang on how how do I Okay, what happens if I refresh this page?
1:24
Everyone get ready for live stream to go down.
1:31
It didn't. All right. Uh hi there. Uh it is great to see you here. Uh
1:38
anyway, we are global scholarships. We are a platform that shares informative stuff about scholarships, about uh
1:44
studying abroad, universities abroad, etc., etc. This is our website. As you can see, it's a free website. There's no
1:51
pricing. There is no create an account here, give us your email, uh you want to sell your data to data brokers or
1:58
anything like that, you just go to the uh website and use our tools. As you can
2:04
see, we have uh resources here. We have guides, guides about scholarships, scholarships, guides about countries, uh
2:11
guides about tests and documents, etc., etc., that sort of thing. Um for
2:16
example, country guides are very very useful. So if you're if you have a country in mind, sometimes people come
2:23
into our live stream saying I want to study in this country, what would you uh
2:28
give as an advice? Uh so like for example if you have a country in mind you want to study in Japan you can go to
2:34
our country guide section click on study in Japan and what you'll see is sort of
2:41
a collection of uh guides that kind of
2:46
like every single one specifically tackles a specific issue like for
2:52
example higher education in Japan like what are the cons pros and cons uh about
2:57
like studying in uh Japan Hi there, Neon. It's great to see you here again.
3:03
Uh like how do you choose a university best English universities in Japan? For example, maybe you want to study in
3:08
Japan but don't know any Japanese and like to to you don't have enough time
3:14
you figure uh to learn it enough to have your education. Uh best public
3:20
universities, best universities with high employability. Uh applying to university. Hi there Kuruku as always
3:27
you're here. It's great to see you. I hope you're doing well and like documents tests for example
3:34
different countries have their own tests for example if you want to study in South Korea they have something called a
3:41
topic basically test of proficiency in Korean uh you have to take that test to
3:46
prove you know Korean and if you get a good score in that test topic u there
3:52
are a lot of universities that will give you like uh 50% 70% even up to 100% %
3:59
tuition discount. So yeah, different tests for different countries. Can you
4:04
tell me the best course to study now? H now I'm going to defer to Aean but I
4:11
think uh he also would need some more details about you like what you want to
4:17
study like what area you want to study, what was your education um or maybe you have a country or region
4:24
in mind that you want to study. uh like I think if we get to know better a
4:30
little bit better about you uh we can give you better advice. Aean, what do you think?
4:37
Um yes, exactly. I think choosing a course is a personal choice, not something that is made for you.
4:45
um it depends on what you're interested in and your strength in general, your
4:52
personal skills in a certain field of knowledge. So I don't think anyone can
4:59
tell you what the best course is to study because objectively there is no one best course. It's it's
5:06
all subjective and it all depends on people. Yeah. Okay. If you could give us a
5:11
little bit more information, maybe we can have a better idea. Uh so we also do
5:16
have something called a studying AI in UK worth it or Canada is better or
5:24
Australia. Huh. Uh I would like to know why you
5:30
chose those countries like is there a reason like maybe uh you know something about their uh education system or
5:37
because they are usually some of the most uh popular choices because I think a for example a good place to study AI
5:44
could be China uh where they have like a lot of new developments uh in uh AI area
5:52
and there are way more affordable universities. the country is way more
5:57
affordable and there are a lot of scholarships as well or Taiwan of course. Uh but Aean what what would you
6:04
think like what do you think is the best option among the three they have named uh and what would you say in general?
6:14
Well, I wouldn't say there's like one country that stands out in that list
6:20
or anywhere because I would say that study in AI would be more or less the
6:26
same in any country. Maybe within the same country, it would differ depending on the university and how they approach
6:33
curriculum. Um, but for the most part, you're getting the same knowledge. It's just
6:41
whether uh the teachers convey the information in such a way that's that that speaks to
6:48
you or that that that would be
6:53
uh good in general I would say. So it it depends on the staff the teachers that
6:59
teach it their expertise rather than the country itself. So and the teachers are
7:04
university dependent. So you would need to go deeper uh with your research
7:10
uh in terms of universities rather than singling out a single country because there could be one university in Canada
7:17
that is marginally better than most universities in the UK but at the same time there is one university in the UK
7:24
that is actually really good. So um I can't tell you that the UK is better
7:30
than Canada or Canada is better than Australia. It it doesn't work that way.
7:35
uh it's it's more specific than that but yeah so as you mentioned China is uh a
7:42
good destination to study computer science related subjects
7:48
uh or big data related subjects. Mhm. Um so yeah I I would I I would do more or
8:00
deeper research into that rather than country specific research. Uh I would
8:06
look into universities that are top in terms of uh AI teaching. uh I would I
8:14
would definitely seek feedback from students who have uh studied these
8:19
courses because you would get first their firsthand experience. They would know the teachers. They would know how
8:26
things work and they would tell you if it was worth it for them to do that or to go to that specific university and to
8:32
to study that course or if they wish they had gone somewhere else based on
8:38
what they heard from other people. So it's always good to reach out to um
8:45
alumni who have been uh who have studied the course. So we have a lot of stories
8:51
on our website um of people who actually studied AI and they're open to being
8:58
contacted. So feel free to do that. Otherwise, you can always just look on LinkedIn uh for the course university
9:06
and you'll find a lot of people who studied that course and you can just message them and most of them will
9:12
reply. Okay, thank you very much Amen. Um again
9:18
if you have more questions you can just type them in um when you feel like it.
9:24
So uh as Aan said we have a a scholarship story section. Uh basically
9:30
these are stories uh that we got from people who have earned like very very
9:35
good scholarships like popular big scholarships like fullbride uh like this is mixed for example uh it's the
9:42
Japanese government scholarship um and then we have dad scholarship uh German
9:48
government scholarship global Korea scholarship Korean government scholarship so you can also filter for country or degree uh let's say you're
9:55
interested in studying in Germany uh there are not that many scholarships in Germany and the ones that exist are like
10:03
very popular for like the government scholarship and you can uh read about these people
10:09
uh and learn how they got those scholarships uh which will give you
10:15
better insight and as a said yeah they are usually quite open to being contacted so yeah it's really a good
10:22
idea thank you very much Neon Penguin um if you have any suggestions anything
10:28
that you're interested in, uh, we can like you can ask us to make a video about that. I know I'll note it down.
10:36
Um, another thing that I use all the time and and I think it's a great uh
10:42
tool is our free search tool. Basically, this is uh you can use our search tool to find scholarships that are suitable
10:48
for you. If you have a country in mind, if you have a program in mind, if you have anything in mind, you can just type
10:54
that in. Let's say I just saw Finland. Let's type in Finland. There aren't that many scholarships in Finland. But, you
11:02
know, let's go. For example, we have 64 scholarships in our database in Finland.
11:08
But if we reset, as you can see, in general, we have about 4,500 scholarships in our uh database. Most of
11:15
these are uh partial funding or full tuition. Some of them are full funding. Um if you do not know that uh what those
11:23
mean partial funding means it covers less than the university's tuition fees. Uh full tition means it covers the
11:29
tuition fees and that's it. Full funding as you can see here means it covers the
11:35
tuition fees of the scholarship and then gives you something a little bit more. Could be accommodation could be a living
11:41
statement. Uh it could be up to like there are some very comprehensive scholarships that cover your insurance,
11:48
gives you like um like a laptop allowance or something like that. So
11:53
yeah, uh we have 4,500 scholarships but these are the scholarships that we could
11:58
find in uh universities all around the world like mostly in USA, Europe or
12:06
other countries as well. Um but these are scholarships that are given by the
12:11
university to newcomer students. Okay. For example, uh let's say
12:18
University of Tennessee, right? University of Tennessee gives this scholarship to uh their newcoming
12:24
students. Now this university could have other scholarships that they are giving to um already enrolled students like
12:32
students in their second year, third year or they have scholarships that they only give to domestic students and not
12:38
international students. So these are the ones that universities are giving to newcoming international students. All
12:46
right? So keep that in mind. You can filter here by degree, bachelor's, masters or PhD. You can filter by by
12:54
location of course. Uh let's say you are interested in United States. A lot of
12:59
people are interested. Uh we have about 1,800 scholarships in
13:04
our database. Uh in United States. Hello sir, I have a query. Uh are the courses
13:10
for UG natural sciences in Kais English taught or not? Can you please answer it
13:16
sir? I'm planning for undergrad. Uh, Aemon, do you have any specific information or we can just go and uh try
13:23
to look it up? Um, yeah, you'd have to look it up.
13:30
Okay. So, for everyone else, when they say Kais, they mean uh Korea advanced
13:36
Institute of Science and Technology. This is the university. So, let's go and try to see. Uh, this is bachelor.
13:47
I think we made a video about like English taught programs in
13:52
taught universities and programs in uh Korea. But yeah, Kais, I don't know why
13:58
every it does this every time. Uh their page takes forever to load. Uh so yeah,
14:03
we're going to see that in a second. Meanwhile, uh everyone feel free to use
14:08
our search tool. Uh you can filter for pretty much everything. uh funding type, scholarship type, government
14:15
scholarships, university scholarships. Um by the way, yeah, I said these are
14:20
given by universities to uh newcoming students, but uh now we also start to include some external scholarships, some
14:27
government scholarships, but most of them are university scholarships. We have subjects and nationalities. Uh
14:33
usually nationalities do not really matter. For example, we have 4,500 for
14:39
everyone. If I pick one nationality, let's say Turkey, right?
14:46
As you can see, we we've lost like what 300 400 scholarships, something like that. So, most of them are not like are
14:53
for everyone, every nationality. So, before I apply about Kist uh
15:03
application apply online, what is this? I don't Okay, hang on.
15:11
your interests. Let's so let's start let's try to see application guideline
15:20
um student view. This might be
15:28
helpful application guide department
15:36
natural sciences. So, natural sciences, that's what you were asking for.
15:44
H I guess you can also use these links to
15:50
try and find. Let's see.
15:57
So, do you have a specific department in mind?
16:05
Education, admissions, undergraduate requirements. Let's see.
16:16
So, they're asking for English proficiency. Uh, that makes me think that
16:22
education could be in could be in English. Uh, anyone, do you
16:29
see anything that psiques your interest?
16:35
Grand Challenge 30. Hang on.
16:43
Yeah, I know. Uh Emmon, if you're saying anything, I cannot hear. Yeah. Yeah, you muted yourself.
16:57
I can still not hear you.
17:03
Oh yeah, I was talking with I think it just didn't unmute me. Uh yeah, I was
17:09
looking on mobile and their website is not that good on mobile. So I'm switching.
17:14
All right. So we have departments of department of physics here.
17:22
Yeah, this is Korean. Um okay, let's try to see English here.
17:32
Okay. Undergraduate program uh admin 2015 or earlier
17:40
h yeah pretty much every one of these have
17:47
uh English proficiency requirements for graduation
17:53
2020 or later major
18:03
I think hm graduation requirement for foreign students topic test of proficiency in
18:09
green uh are required to obtain level two or higher in topic before entering or during studying at kais applies to
18:17
students entering kaist uh as you can see uh I'm not sure if it's uh taught
18:27
in English, but apparently you have to have at least level two or higher uh in
18:33
topic. You can hang on uh let's see guides. I'm going to choose South Korea
18:43
and here we should have um
18:48
not here topic. Yeah. So, you might want to look into this one. Uh this might
18:55
give you an idea about like what level two kind of means.
19:00
So yeah it it is up to six basically uh like you have to be at
19:07
topic level one and suble two. So it's not I don't think this would be
19:13
kind of enough to uh get the whole uh program in Korean.
19:20
Uh but apparently at least they want you to have some
19:25
proficiency. Aean, uh did you find anything?
19:31
I do agree with you that uh since it's just level two, level two is not enough
19:36
to have your full education in Korean. So it's going to be in English for sure. It's they just need minimal proficiency
19:42
in Korean. Yeah. I mean it says uh level two or higher before entering or during
19:49
studying. So I think if you can get topic level two you should be good for
19:55
entering the program. So yeah I think that's the extent of the information you can get here.
20:02
Okay guys, so as you can see uh we have like a lot of information that you can uh either get directly through our on
20:10
our website or through our website. Uh if you have any university in mind let's say Harvard for example uh choose. So we
20:18
have uh pages uh you're welcome. So we have pages for universities for example
20:23
you'll get a lot of information here uh for example very popular universities we have even admission scores like
20:30
admission results we have deadlines of course we have tions uh and we have
20:35
admissions pages uh you can just click on any one of these to go to their website to get directly uh get the
20:43
information directly from them that's what I that's genuinely what I do when I try to make uh application tutori
20:51
tutorials and it pretty much always works. Uh we have comment section. So
20:56
also comment section is a gold mine in my opinion and not only you can see what other people have asked but if you like
21:04
if you leave your questions here he only as you can see answers every single question in here. He's the founder of
21:12
global scholarships by the way. So yeah uh this was our search tool. Again you
21:19
can filter for anything. We talked about nationality. Uh about subject there is
21:25
one thing uh when you choose a subject for example architecture what it does is
21:30
first it gives you the scholarships that specifically mention architecture like
21:35
these ones right and then when it runs out of scholarships like that it starts
21:42
giving you uh scholarships that are for all subjects
21:47
uh like as you can see here all subjects uh bit international student scholarship all subjects
21:53
In this context, all subjects means all subjects offered by this university. So
21:58
if this pro university does not offer the program uh you want to study, you can of course not apply uh to that
22:05
scholarship because cannot apply to the program in the university. So keep in
22:10
mind all subjects means all subject. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. We have we have a warning here as well. I'm not sure if we
22:17
had that before. So yeah, this is our website. Uh it is really helpful. I mean
22:23
I use it all the time to find uh like scholarships, universities, uh guides, etc. to make videos for. So yeah, you
22:31
know, it's it's easily accessible because I'm not an expert. Um it helped
22:36
me learn a lot. Anyway, so guys, this is a Q&A live stream. So if you have at any
22:42
point any questions, just feel free to type them in. Um other than that, today we're going to talk about a scholarship.
22:49
Uh it's the scholarship of the week. Uh now every week I try to bring you some
22:54
scholarships that are like full funding or full tuition that will give you uh
23:00
the best uh value and that is open right now.
23:05
Right? We've talked about a lot of full funding scholarships in the recent past. So I don't want to I don't want to go
23:11
back to them and like talk about the same scholarship over and over again because I already made videos about them
23:18
as well. Uh there we have a couple of full funding scholarships right now. One in China, uh one in Hong Kong. But uh
23:26
today the one I want to talk to you about is uh let's say for bachelors. By
23:31
the way, you can this is how you can find scholarships that are open right now. Uh let's choose for the deadline
23:37
currently open, right? Uh let's say for example, if you choose full funding, as you can see, we have just four and two
23:44
of them are sanctuary scholarships. uh you are so confused. There isn't that
23:50
much to be confused. So this is our search tool. Uh let me take a step back.
23:56
If you have anything in mind that you want to see about let's say uh if you
24:01
want to study in United Kingdom, right? Type in United Kingdom. Choose the country and as you can see we have the
24:10
web is kind of messy. Uh do you mean the website? Because I don't think so. This
24:15
is I mean these are the scholarships these are the filters you can just filter uh by anything you want or do you
24:23
mean the web as in the internet in general because yeah it is messy if
24:29
that's what you mean. So you can choose here bachelor and if you're interested in scholarships that are open right now
24:36
uh you can choose currently open and for example these are the ones that are currently open in United Kingdom. A lot
24:43
of them are either partial scholarships or um sanctuary awards. Um United
24:49
Kingdom has a lot of scholarships like this like sanctuary awards like uh
24:55
people who are like for refugees uh people who had uh been displaced. So
25:01
that type of scholarships uh there are a lot of those in United Kingdom. Anyway,
25:06
today we're going to talk about let's choose all locations. Uh as you can see full funding we have
25:11
like four and two of these are in United Kingdom. Uh and these two we've talked
25:17
very recently like uh Hong Kong. So in Hong Kong there's also another full
25:23
tuition scholarship but today I want to talk to you about uh a full tuition
25:28
scholarship in Turkey. And
25:35
uh no I don't think it's your problem. Uh it's just like uh maybe if you spend a little time looking uh into what like
25:43
the filter and the how the search tool works, I think you'll get the hang of it. So uh usually when people ask about
25:51
Turkey, I say negative things because I'm from Turkey. It's my own country and I think
25:57
there like you do have a bias against your own country because you you usually see the negative things and Turkey has
26:04
been going through a lot right now and in terms of economics it is really it has become more and more
26:11
difficult to um recommend people to come to Turkey because it is getting more and
26:16
more expensive. Uh but today I was looking uh at this scholarship and I
26:21
thought well coach university is a really good university uh in Turkey.
26:27
It's in Istanbul. Uh it has high tuition fees but this scholarship covers up to 100% of tuition fee. And when the
26:35
tuition fee is covered, uh you like for example is not as expensive to live in
26:41
as uh I don't know a any country in Europe or any uh state in the United
26:47
States. So I think this is a very accessible to university for a lot of people. And yeah um studying in Turkey
26:54
has its own issues. Uh but well in terms
26:59
of foreign students uh the countries are kind of like racing each other to be
27:05
more problematic. Uh for example it would be more difficult uh to say you can come to study in Turkey compared to
27:12
United States. It's not like that anymore like USA has become even more
27:18
problematic and pretty much the same goes for other countries as well. So Turkey has become uh just by doing
27:25
pretty much nothing I think a little bit more um let's say a little bit more
27:31
attractive. So yeah this is undergraduate international merit scholarships at coach university in
27:36
Turkey. This is for bachelors. Uh you can apply for all subjects all nationalities. It's in Istanbul. Stumble
27:43
has a a huge I mean it has a huge population but it also has a huge student population, foreign population.
27:51
Um so for this you have to have an application featuring your SAT, IB, A
27:59
level score or equivalent. It doesn't give you a threshold that like you have
28:04
to have at least this. It just like apparently they use that to evaluate you. Uh unfortunately you can use this
28:11
for school of medicine but other programs are fine. Again coach university is like the highest ranking
28:17
university in Turkey and in terms of global uh I think it it is like a couple
28:24
of like 300 400 something like that. Uh it is a good university
28:29
and if you have any questions you can leave them here. It has other scholarships as well. Yeah four uh four
28:37
scholarships in total. tuition fees. This is about $10,000
28:42
right now. Um I think this might have gone up actually. Uh I think very
28:48
recently people have been complaining about this but again this scholarship covers the tuition fee. So you would
28:54
have to spend like maybe $600 or something like that to live in Istanbul.
29:00
Uh you have master tuition here. Other we have one uh for example full funding
29:05
scholarship for graduate students. Uh so yeah, let's see the university.
29:12
[Music] It is again in Istanbul. It's a very crowded place. So if you don't like very
29:21
crowded uh cities, this might not be for you. Uh anyway, so this is the
29:28
university. If you're interested in studying in Turkey, some people are asking about that and I'm usually very
29:35
very very negative. uh which is not which is not really fair if I'm being
29:40
honest. So yeah uh you can see more about the scholarship by clicking here
29:45
official scholarship page and go and see directly from uh the university.
29:53
They give you a lot of information here like undergraduate international scholarships
29:58
um right graduate international school. So it's
30:05
this one basically um signific submitting an application without one of
30:11
the required exam scores significantly diminishes your admission chances and therefore your scholarship chances. You
30:16
can see the list of eligible uh so you also don't have to
30:22
uh hang on.
30:29
So this says all admitted students are first evaluated for a merit-based scholarship by the admission committee
30:35
on the basis of academic merit only. These scholarships can be awarded up to 100% of the annual tuition. Uh do not
30:43
include any other benefits. So uh this says all admitted students are evaluated
30:50
but this also says a separate scholarship application is needed. Uh this makes me
30:58
think that there is no separate application. I think you need uh SAT for applying to the university.
31:06
Amen. Uh am I correct or am I saying this wrong?
31:15
I mean it could be both. like it. I don't think they're mutually exclusive
31:20
necessarily because uh they're just telling you that if you're applying
31:27
you will be uh you can be considered maybe provided that you apply for the
31:33
scholarship of course. So there is no pre requirement to be considered other than
31:40
the application itself. I guess that's what the implication is.
31:47
Okay. Uh so yeah, that's pretty much it. Uh for this scholarship, I think it can
31:53
give you like it is not the greatest scholarship. It is not the greatest university, but I think it's kind of
31:59
more accessible in terms of um finance like financial how much you need to
32:05
spend uh more than other scholarships. for example again uh like it is more
32:12
affordable to live in Istanbul than to live in Hong Kong for example. So I
32:18
think a full tuition scholarship might make it more accessible for a lot of people than a full tuition scholarship
32:23
in Hong Kong. So I also wanted to give you any at least some information um
32:29
about this opportunity. Aean uh do you want to say anything about this or maybe
32:34
like studying in Turkey in general or anything? Yeah, I really don't know much about
32:40
studying in Turkey and I think you would know way more than I do
32:46
uh about that. But uh Coach University seems to be uh a great university that
32:53
that promotes in international uh education. Uh all universities that
32:59
provide the scholarships to international students are always
33:04
uh something good to consider. uh probably Cos University wouldn't be uh
33:12
as competitive as some of the universities in other countries, but I would still assume that it's very
33:18
competitive. Uh the Turkish government um scholarship is also an amazing
33:25
scholarship and I think that there are many placements at Qu University. Um so
33:34
uh Turkey remains one of uh the countries that still promote
33:40
international uh education despite what you mentioned every week about the inflation and how
33:47
the numbers don't really represent uh like
33:53
the the reality of things and there is a lot of fluctuation. Sometimes you find numbers that change every uh so often.
34:01
So that's also something to always keep in mind the
34:07
economic state of certain countries when you see numbers of or about the cost of
34:13
living. So take that with a grain of salt because they might change a little bit, they might go up. Uh so you need uh
34:21
to have a fail safe all the time. So you need to prepare enough or sufficient
34:26
funds to accommodate those changes. Uh yeah, other than that uh I think uh
34:36
just based on uh what we have seen about university
34:41
just the pictures it seems like uh an amazing uh university just in
34:48
terms of facilities in terms of uh campus. And I would say if anyone wants
34:54
to study in Turkish in Turkey uh uh this is a a good university to consider.
35:03
Yeah. I also wanted to add for example like this just uh for example uh Mus
35:09
Muse or Musa I'm not sure uh which one is it. For example this one Turkish
35:14
scholarships are a really good like good government scholarship. Um it is very
35:20
comprehensive. It covers pretty much everything. Uh there are others other ones as well, but uh we're going to talk
35:26
about that in a second. For example, one thing one positive thing about Turkey is that um in terms of health insurance,
35:34
Turkey is like uh I would I'm not sure if you could say better than for example
35:40
some other countries like United States. uh but it is way more accessible and it
35:47
has much much much less chance of completely bankrupting you. Uh that's something that American people face uh
35:55
quite often. Uh so yeah, for example, health insurance, it's not that expensive. You have universal health uh
36:02
insurance, universal healthcare here. It's not that expensive and I think
36:07
students get that even more uh in a more affordable way. and you can just go to
36:13
another pretty much another like government uh based hospital and like be
36:20
be treated. So yeah uh that's that's one positive thing. Um so yes there are scholarships
36:30
uh so if you go to our search tool there are scholarship that cover scholarships
36:36
that cover everything. uh that would be full funding scholarships but even for full funding scholarships they don't
36:42
usually cover everything and I don't think you will find scholarship any
36:49
scholarship that will not make you pay for anything uh in terms of any scholarship you'll still have to pay
36:55
some stuff uh but for example there are scholarships that cover uh tuition um
37:02
living expenses accommodation insurance uh like living expenses This is kind of
37:08
what monthly allowance is. So like they give you a stipend. Uh usually graduate
37:15
assistantships are very comprehensive because they are kind of like being employed by the university. You even get
37:22
like sick leaves. Uh stuff like uh like an employee.
37:28
What? Sorry. Our Zoom call is over with Aean
37:36
for some reason. That's odd. Hang on. Let me just
37:44
reconnect to Amen and we'll be back. So, yeah. Um,
37:54
the host has another meeting in progress. So,
38:00
all right. And I think we're going to we're going to take a second. So yeah, uh there are scholarships.
38:07
Yeah, I was talking about graduate assistantships. So graduate assistantships, they're kind of like being like working in a university. So
38:14
they co they will cover a lot of things uh insurance etc. But they are usually given to graduate students. Like there
38:20
are some assistantships that are uh also available for uh bachelor students. for
38:26
example in Germany uh let me show you let's say partial
38:32
funding Germany and I'm saying partial funding because uh German universities don't
38:38
really have tuition fees anyway so these scholarships cannot cover tuition fees
38:44
uh which is why they are categorized as uh partial funding and not full funding
38:50
because there are no tition fees to cover in the first place. So, let me try my luck with Aean again.
38:59
Nope. Didn't work at all. So, Aman says, "Okay, send me another link.
39:16
Okay, I'm joining." This is weird. This never has never
39:23
happened. I will. So, if you're looking for like uh Hey,
39:30
Aman, can you hear me? Yes. Yes, I can hear you. Uh, the question is, is
39:36
YouTube be hearing it? Can you give me a sound check? Okay. Can you hear me? Okay. Yeah, I can
39:44
hear you. Hang on, let me see. Hi there, Ikra.
39:54
Uh, let me just check if you're also audible in the live stream.
40:02
I'm sorry.
40:09
Okay, you're also audible in the live stream. We are all good. Okay, we were
40:14
Hi there, Kirhan. Uh, welcome to our live stream. If you have any questions, you can just type them in at any time
40:20
that you feel like it. So, we were talking about uh full scholarships. Again, student assistantships are kind
40:27
of uh available for bachelors too. For example, Musa uh if you can give us information about what degree you're
40:35
talking about. Uh whether you are looking for a scholarship for bachelors, for masters or PhD, uh we can like it.
40:42
It would be easier for us to give you more uh relevant information. Right. Uh
40:48
full funding scholarships. One thing that you can look into are the
40:53
government scholarships. They are usually very comprehensive and very generous. Let me share the link with
40:58
you. But also of course um as any generous scholarships, any generous
41:04
scholarship, they are very uh competitive. A lot of people are applying to these. Uh for example, we've
41:11
talked about Turkey Turkey scholarships. uh we have government scholarships in a
41:16
lot of places. One thing that I like we're not asked about as much is
41:23
AFL excellence scholarship program in France which is a really good scholarship program. It's for masters
41:29
and PhD students. Uh, for example, I'm not sure if this is as competitive as
41:36
other government scholarships, even though it gives you a lot like a great
41:41
monthly stipent and you you would probably be in a university that doesn't
41:47
charge you any tuition. So, it would be like full funding. So, yeah. Um, you can
41:53
get some of like one of these government scholarships. Other than that, uh let's see some of
42:00
the full funding scholarships.
42:05
Uh you know what? Let's look for bachelor ones for example. Uh we can see like one of
42:13
these uh foundation scholarship for president scholars in University of Hong Kong. Uh this is for example open for
42:20
application right now. As you can see the admission deadline is August 22. I'm going to share this link with you just
42:26
to just so that you can see like what our scholarship pages look like. Uh we
42:32
have the like level of study, host institution, scholarship type. Uh it covers 100% of tuition fees,
42:38
accommodation fees, a living stipent and enrichment scholarship. It doesn't cover
42:44
uh insurance. there are very few scholarships that will cover insurance.
42:49
Um especially in more expensive places because usually those places are uh like
42:56
except let's say Scandinavian countries uh usually they don't have a lot of like
43:02
uh universal healthcare or something like that. Um yeah, you can get more
43:07
information. We usually have videos of these scholarships. You can leave your questions in the comment section uh or
43:14
you can click here to go and see the uh scholarship scholarship directly from
43:21
the university. That's pretty much it. I think this is uh as much information or insights I can give you uh without
43:30
knowing your grade or what where you want to study. Um, Ammon, is there anything you want to say about like full
43:37
funding scholarships like most generous comprehensive scholarships that uh maybe
43:42
in general you want to add? Um, yeah. So, as you mentioned, it's the
43:49
case for all fully funded scholarships that you'd need to pay for something.
43:56
So, it's not really like fully fully funded. Yes. the the the big bars are
44:03
fully funded like tuition regardless of how much it is say even if it's uh 40
44:10
50,000 a year it will be covered by some universities a monthly allowance will be given to you uh even even if we assume
44:19
that accommodation health insurance are given to you uh there are things that you need to pay for like uh your visa
44:26
application like your airplane tickets uh even your uh to T to
44:34
exam that that is required by most universities you need to pay for that. So there is some level of spending
44:43
that's going to be on your part um regardless of the scholarship. Some
44:50
scholarships cover certain things. So there are scholarships that cover your
44:55
uh airplane tickets for example but wouldn't cover your visa fees. Uh it
45:00
just depends on the scholarship but for the most part you would need to uh be
45:06
spended on something. So you can't just apply and get everything for free. I
45:11
don't think there is one single scholarship that covers literally everything.
45:17
uh there's going to be some level of uh spending on on yourself or on your part.
45:26
Uh yeah, so that is something to note when asking about fully funded
45:31
scholarships like that cover everything. So no scholarship covers everything. They
45:38
just cover the the big big parts that would otherwise be impossible for the
45:45
average person. But they would expect you to at least be able to afford certain things. Uh even say translating
45:53
your documents that also will cost. Uh there are a lot of things that uh cost
46:02
uh a little bit when applying for scholarships. So there is that to keep
46:07
in mind. Um yeah. So other than that there are many many uh scholarships. The
46:14
fully comprehensive ones are offered by governments. Uh so you can look for any
46:22
government. So the big governments give uh scholarships every year. So the fullbrite by United States, the Chevin
46:29
in the UK, uh Australia war scholarships in Australia,
46:35
uh the New Zealand government scholarship, the Turkish government scholarship,
46:40
uh the uh Swiss Excellence Scholarship. Most of
46:46
these are offered to uh graduate students exclusively but some like the
46:52
mix or fullbrite or uh the JKS the global career scholarship are offered to
46:58
uh undergraduate students as well. Um so these are the big ones that cover a lot
47:05
of things. There are uh university uh scholarships that are offered by the
47:11
universities themselves. Most of the time they're uh partially funded but
47:16
there are a lot of full tuition and fully funded scholarships uh as well. Uh
47:23
you have talked uh extensively about uh graduate assistantships and uh
47:30
uh just work positions at universities that are
47:36
just in the form of assistantships and fellowships. Um yeah so other than that you can also
47:43
look for external scholarships like say for example the master card
47:50
uh scholarship program which is an external scholarship
47:55
uh that is offered every year but there are way way
48:00
uh too many scholarships to list and you can just look into that as well. Some
48:06
universities allow you to combine uh these scholarships, which is good,
48:12
but most of the time they uh won't offer you a scholarship if you already have
48:17
one. Okay, thank you very much, Aean. All right, everyone. So, this was our live
48:25
stream. Uh we talked about the scholarship that we needed to talk about. If you have any questions, uh
48:30
just type them in right now. Otherwise, we're going to end the live stream. Uh but we'll be here next Friday. Um next
48:38
Friday, I actually might take a day off. Uh but we probably will be uh if we're
48:44
not here next Friday, we'll be here the one after that. We are here every Friday. We do these live streams, Q&A
48:50
live streams to help you uh with your questions about scholarships and talk about some opportunities that are open.
48:57
Uh so yeah if you are interested in you can uh just like subscribe to our
49:04
YouTube channel or visit our website. Our website is really really full of information. Other than that that's
49:12
pretty much it. Uh thank you for watching. If you're watching this uh video like after the live stream thank
49:19
you for watching and yeah that's pretty much it. We'll be here next Friday. Hey
49:24
Aemon, thank you for joining me here today. Uh, of course, yes. Thank you for having
49:29
me. All right. Okay, everyone. See you next Friday and have a nice week. Bye.
