And I think we are live now.
0:06
Okay. Hi there everyone. It's Global Scholarships and I'm your host AZ. I hope you're all doing well. I hope everything is going great and as always
0:13
we are here with another weekly live stream, another Friday, another live stream. We're here to answer your
0:19
questions to give you as much information as we can about studying abroad, about scholarships and of course
0:25
uh which is why I have Aean with me. Hi Aean. How are you? How are things going with you?
0:30
Hi Oz. I'm doing well, thank you. How are you? I'm doing well too. Thank you very much. So everyone um if you're new here, we
0:38
are global scholarships. Uh we have a platform to share like informative stuff, stuff about scholarships, about
0:44
studying abroad, uh general stuff. It's completely free as you can see. Live streams are free, videos are free. I
0:50
mean it's YouTube. Uh and then we have a completely free platform. There was no just there's no pricing. there's no
0:56
registry or any create an account or something. You can just go in and start learning about scholarships. Um right
1:03
now there are not that many scholarships but we we have some and there are some great opportunities. Uh so like if you
1:10
if you can just apply in time and if you can get them they can change your life
1:15
basically. So yeah we have scholarships we have stuff about scholarships uh some fully funded scholarships like
1:21
government scholarships. Government scholarships are always very uh very popular obviously because they are
1:27
extremely generous. You can read about those uh scholarships by country. Um a
1:33
lot of times people are like people want to study in a specific country but like it is always always expensive. Some
1:39
countries are more expensive than others. Um and of course so like uh you
1:44
you don't have much fun. So like uh maybe depending on country sometimes you
1:50
need more scholarship sometimes you don't need as much which is why I have been making videos about like uh how
1:56
much does it cost to study in a country for example uh we've just made a short we also made a longer version a couple
2:03
of weeks earlier like how much does it uh how much does it take to study in
2:08
Japan for example I mean Japan is a very popular choice for a lot of people to go uh study in just like South Korea And
2:16
like, yeah, but how much does it cost? Because it can be a very expensive country, especially if you want to go
2:21
study in somewhere like Tokyo, um, like rents are like very high and if you're
2:28
lucky, you have you need to pay like very high amounts of rent to live in
2:33
like a tiny bit of space. Uh but then like when you compare it to somewhere like United States
2:40
uh like some places in United States can be much much much more affordable but then you have to pay about like $40,000
2:47
uh tuition fee. So it's like yeah uh different countries have different uh
2:52
aspects. So like if you're interested in a specific country and want to learn like what opportunities they have, what
2:58
are some pros, cons, like are they expensive? Is it difficult to live in?
3:04
uh can I find like can I do can I pay my rent or am I going to suffer just the
3:10
tuition fees like am I going to start every year with uh owing the university about $40,000
3:16
so yeah uh uh which is why like you can just go in and learn about the country
3:22
scholarships by country or we can we do have country guides as well I think those are great here under the guide
3:28
section you can find uh you all uh basically these are just like certain collections s that we have. Uh for
3:35
example, if you want to study in China, you can just click here or let's say Australia and they'll like you'll find a
3:41
lot of a lot of guides here from like how to choose universities, how to do all kind of kinds of things like uh
3:48
application fees. Um for example, five Australian universities with no application fees. I don't think we've
3:54
made a video about this. Um yeah, we we've done a but it's been it's been
4:00
quite a while. I wasn't here. So maybe I should do another one. So yeah, guys, we have a lot of stuff in here. Uh we have
4:07
a search tool, completely free search tool where you can just like search for scholarships very easily and completely
4:14
free. This is the search tool. As you can see, this is just like let me share the link. This is what you see when you
4:20
go to our website. There's no like hidden prices like or
4:25
payments or anything like that. Uh we also don't ask you to like give us your information so we can sell it to a data
4:32
broker or something. No, it's just you can just go in uh globalcolarships.com
4:38
and if you have anything in mind, any country and a school, a program, a specific scholarship that you might have
4:44
heard, for example, um what scholarships are open right now? Let's see. You know
4:49
what? Uh I have nothing in mind and I'm just going to hit enter here and let's see what we get.
4:55
We get about 4,500 scholarships. Hang on. Yeah, there is.
5:01
And we have filters here. So, let's let's say I'm a bachelor student. I want
5:06
to be a bachelor student, right? And I'm looking for scholarships that are open for application right now. And as you
5:13
can see, we have about like 50 of those right now. Usually, there are more, but right now there are not not that many
5:20
scholarships open for application. Hi there, James Bond. As always, you're here. It's great to see you as I'm
5:25
Indian but can you still teach me how to bargain with universities? I just got my
5:30
acceptance from Franklin University Switzerland with 17,000
5:36
uh Swiss Frank scholarship. That's great. And my financial is financial aid
5:41
is yet to be negotiated. I didn't even know you can negotiate or bargain about
5:47
your uh scholarship. Uh per year. It's per year. Really? That's great actually.
5:54
Like that kind of covers your entire uh entire living costs if you don't spend a
6:00
lot of money if you're frugal and usually Swiss universities don't uh charge very high tuition. So that that
6:07
is a great scholarship. Uh but I don't I don't know anything about negotiating
6:12
your scholarship. So I'm going to defer to Aean. Aean, what do you think?
6:19
Oh, it's needed. Yeah. Right. Yeah, I know. I know it sometimes can be
6:25
negotiable in the sense that you can ask the university for more aid. Uh but it's
6:32
uh really up to them whether they would like to give you more or whether they'll
6:37
stand by their initial offer. Um I don't think there is
6:45
an actual effective way to uh bargain per se because
6:52
uh they have their budgets and I don't think that
6:58
uh they're at liberty to offer more unless there's some budget left. So you
7:06
can ask but there is no guarantee that you will get more. So most of the time they tell you this is all we can offer
7:13
and that's that. Sometimes they can actually increase their uh scholarship
7:18
especially when it's need- based right so okay thank you very much Aean
7:25
uh yeah I guess that's uh that's all we can say about that. Hi, Derek Knox. Uh, I want to study MBBS abroad. So, if you
7:32
can can you please tell me about fully funded scholarships or links to apply, but usually I'm sorry, sorry. Uh, links
7:39
to apply. So, N that kind of depends on what country you are entering. Maybe
7:44
like if you can give us a little bit more information about your um like your
7:50
plans uh or I mean I can ask aan about like how to study where to study MBBS or
7:56
like how what kind of full fully funded scholarships uh exist but we don't we
8:02
won't get much help from him unless the questions are a bit more specific but
8:07
usually they do increase for early applicants. James Bond says um
8:13
medicine. They want to study medicine. Okay. I ask for a country but okay uh
8:19
maybe Aean can give us some insights about like uh James Bond said usually
8:24
they do increase for early applicants and Knox is asking for scholarships for NBBS abroad for medicine. Do you want to
8:32
say anything? Um yeah, it's as I said, it's not guaranteed because we get a lot of
8:39
messages uh of students who got accepted then they asked for more and the university
8:44
said no and then they're looking for more aid somewhere else. So, it's usually the case that um
8:53
the offer they gave at the beginning is probably the best. Uh it's not unheard of that they
9:00
increase it, but it's not guaranteed. Right. Um about medicine, what do you
9:07
think uh for MBBS
9:13
there? Um I guess it just depends on the country because some countries offer
9:20
uh medical degrees in their native language. So I would say that's the case for for
9:26
example Japan where uh there are little to no medical degrees. uh that are not
9:34
offer that are offered in English. So you actually have to uh
9:41
be able to speak Japanese first and there are many countries uh that follow
9:47
suit when it comes to this. So, um
9:52
it's hard to narrow down the list of countries that would be uh a fit.
9:58
If uh the profile of the student is not clear what languages they speak, if it's
10:04
only English, then maybe stick to English-speaking countries only. Maybe
10:10
go to countries where uh they offer medical degrees uh in English. But that
10:17
comes down to research as well to find out what universities within a specific country that offer such degrees uh in in
10:25
English. So I guess that's uh the biggest piece of advice I can
10:32
give concerning this. Right, man. James Bond, you're going to have some really nice scenery,
10:39
right? So um yeah, I've shared a link with you Knox. Uh so like what that
10:45
there you can look for scholarships for medical programs. The thing is uh so like if you if you are interested in any
10:52
one of them you can just click on the program they'll give you like it'll give you a lot of information. Uh you can
10:58
click here to go and see the universities page and if you have any if you see a scholarship and still have a question you can always either come to
11:05
our live stream or you can just leave the question here in the comment section where pretty much every single question
11:11
is answered by Yani founder of global scholarships. So other than that, the
11:17
thing is, so you're going to see a lot of scholarships here, about, as you can see, about like 2,000 scholarships. But
11:23
yeah, the first ones are usually the ones that when you choose a subject here, uh the ones that mention the
11:31
specific program that you are looking for. So these are for example, this is uh Kagawa University in Japan. This is
11:38
specifically for medicine programs, right? for any degrees. It's not it's not a very high amount of uh scholarship
11:46
to be honest. Um there like you can of course filter here for like full funding, full tution or something like
11:52
that. Uh but then when the when the system like our search tool runs out of
12:00
scholarship programs that is for medicine specifically, it gives you scholarships for all subjects. But that
12:05
means that these are all subjects offered in this university. So, if you're looking for a medicine
12:11
scholarship and you see this, oh, it's all subjects, so I can apply. Uh, well, it kind of depends on whether the
12:17
University of New Orleans offer offers a medicine program or not. So, keep that in mind. Okay. But there are some good
12:24
scholarships. You know what? Uh, let me see if we can find any full funding medicine scholarships.
12:31
Um, no, specifically actually maybe full. Hang on. You know what? Let's
12:37
let's look for partial funding in Europe. Uh because some universities in
12:42
Europe they do have very low tions. Um
12:48
so medicine in University of Aberdine. Yeah. Not very not very high though.
12:56
Anyway, you can apply for like other uh scholarships as well. Yeah. This only
13:02
covers like half your tuition fee. So yeah, if you have like look into it. If
13:08
any scholarship picks your interest, you can just ask us about that scholarship, we can look into that. Uh anyway guys,
13:14
this is how to use our search tool. We can just like if you're interested in medicine, you can just type in medicine.
13:19
Uh just choose that or choose an institution and if you see a scholarship
13:25
that you are interested in, you can just click on it. go to our page where you see like uh what degrees it is available
13:32
for the university uh scholarship type basically there are three types of scholarship uh scholarships fundings um
13:40
there's partial funding partial funding means it covers less than the tuition fees full tution covers just the amount
13:47
of tuition fees and full funding the rate one obviously covers uh tuition and
13:52
then a little bit more sometimes accommodation sometimes it gives you a little stipent uh maybe an allowance for
13:59
something like uh books or other stuff like that. So this is full tuition for example this is engineering for uh for
14:06
engineering or medicine and then we have the coverage here we have eligibility criteria like what do you need to have
14:13
to be able to apply and procedure sometimes we used to make videos about
14:18
these as well but it was pretty much the same like us talking in uh live streams
14:24
and of course for example if I read um about a scholarship here and I had a
14:30
question this is where I would put my question. I would I would leave it here because as you can see he answers Yanley
14:36
answers every single one here. So yeah, this is how our scholarship like search
14:42
tool works basically. Uh then if you want more information, you can just click here to go to the university's
14:48
page for that scholarship that the university has. Um it can be Yeah. Okay.
14:54
It it was fast faster than normal. uh you can read it here from directly from
15:00
the university and then of course you can contact them for this scholarship. So that's basically how it works. I use
15:08
it all the time to find scholarships to make videos about and I think if it's good for me a complete like lay man who
15:15
knows nothing about scholarships pretty much I'm just a YouTube host to make
15:20
videos I think it's good for you good enough for you to be able to find scholarships and research basically.
15:26
Yeah. So, by the way, I was talking about like how um some countries are
15:33
like normally more affordable, but they become very expensive when you kind of
15:40
like also consider tuition or not or like otherwise. Uh some people ask me because I'm from
15:47
Turkey, some people come in the live streams and ask about Turkey. I I think it was a couple of days ago I realized
15:53
that uh because there's a huge inflation in Turkey and people are like people in my country were talking about how
15:59
expensive the universities like the private schools started to become and I realized like coach university which is
16:05
one of the best universities in Turkey has become more expensive than Cambridge. So keep that in mind. Uh Turkey is
16:13
becoming more and more expensive for people coming from abroad from other countries. Um, for example, I like again
16:20
a couple of days ago, I just realized uh maybe you know about this like there's something called Big Mac Index.
16:27
Basically, how much a Big Mac costs in a specific country to kind of like to compare countries, how expensive
16:34
countries are. Uh, so in Turkey, a Big Mac right now is more expensive in terms
16:39
of dollars than about 90% of United States. So yeah, um if you are
16:45
considering coming into Turkey to study, keep that in mind. Like if you are coming from another country that is not
16:52
a very developed country, high income country, uh you'll probably financially struggle. And I'm just talking about
16:58
finances here. Like I don't even want to get into other stuff. So yeah, keep that
17:03
in mind. Turkey is becoming extremely expensive. Um but Europe otherwise is
17:09
becoming quite an attractive option. Aean, uh, are there any kind of like news or something any occurrences uh in
17:17
like scholarship or studying abroad that you might want to mention?
17:23
Um, I guess so. So, lately I was going through some scholarships
17:29
and the Chevin this year closed a month earlier than uh the other year. So
17:36
usually it closes in November but this year it closed in October for some reason. So they have shortened the
17:42
length of the scholarship which I find really interesting. So I couldn't find a
17:48
catalyst for that. Uh they as far as I can see there was no reason provided uh
17:55
for this one month shortening of the length of the application period. But I
18:01
actually find it interesting because usually around this year we remind students uh to apply for the ching but
18:09
uh to my surprise it was uh already closed and much much earlier. Yeah.
18:16
So yeah I can see it's October 7 here so it's past deadline right now. Yeah. Usually it's November 5th
18:24
right? I mean keep in mind keep it in mind guys. Uh so if you if you're
18:30
interested in because if you're interested in studying in United Kingdom um there are not that many scholarships
18:36
that you can go for. Um usually because tuition is
18:41
is expensive not as expensive as incredibly high quality education countries like Turkey I guess uh but
18:48
still very expensive compared to like I don't know France, Germany, Italy or
18:53
like uh mainland Europe. We have some scholarships and actually
18:58
let's see what scholarships do we have open by the way guys. Um so this is very
19:04
much an a Q&A live stream so if you have any questions uh basically that's what we are here for like we talk about
19:11
scholarship stuff obviously to give some information but that's what our videos
19:16
are there for uh like you just go and see our videos. So this is for us to be
19:22
able to answer your specific questions. So keep it like feel free to ask any questions that you might have about
19:28
scholarships about studying abroad like in general. Um otherwise it's going to
19:34
be a short live stream. Just keep keep that in mind. So for bachelor right now
19:39
we have some scholarships uh but not really that many when it comes to full funding scholarships. Uh
19:46
we have like usually they're in United States and there are not that many that
19:52
was open. um last last week I believe. So this one is a really good one if you
19:58
if you're uh if you're considering studying in Canada. This is I guess this
20:03
is the best scholarship that you might apply for except for the uh government
20:09
scholarship. So Lester B Peterson this is for bachelor students. Uh it's full
20:14
funding. It gives you a lot. It gives you tuition fees, book and materials accommodation which I don't need to tell
20:20
you is a big deal in Canada like um rent is very very high especially in Toronto.
20:28
So yeah this is open and not only this is open but like
20:34
scholarship deadline is kind of close. Uh so like if you want to apply you
20:40
really need to be fast like real fast. So keep that in mind. Uh we have some
20:46
yeah presidential scholarships in United States. Cincinnati scholarship in Cincinnati.
20:54
So this is this is fine like it's about $100,000 for four years
21:02
and we have some I think we have some also uh like ones for masters
21:10
graduate fellowships um at Czechman University. So usually you have like graduate assistantships or graduate
21:16
fellowships and like basically assistantships are just like going to the university and
21:21
working there. It's pretty much that and yeah other than that not not much
21:29
really. I mean let's let's look at um full tusion ones in for example
21:37
Asia. Uh, by the way, I made a another short about like some um very
21:45
affordable Korean universities. So, some of the most affordable ones in a scholarship that does not require
21:51
application fee because some people cannot afford it. So, usually scholarships don't really um require you
21:58
to pay application fees. Uh you pay the application fee to apply to the
22:04
university. But there are some ways to uh like there first of all there are some universities that you can apply
22:09
without any application fees and we made made some videos for those. We also have guides here if I remember correctly. I
22:17
cannot find them right now but I will look into it applica free application
22:22
universities. Uh you you can look into our channel to see like uh free
22:27
application videos. No application P ones. um you can apply to those like
22:33
scholarships in those universities as well. Otherwise, if you're applying to a university usually, for example, in American universities, you can just
22:40
apply to a scholarship uh if you are admitted to university or while you are
22:45
applying to the university. You don't pay application fees for scholarships, but you have to pay application fee for
22:51
the university. But there are some universities that can wave that like you don't have to pay tuition uh application
22:58
fees in specific conditions. So you might want to look into those. Um for
23:04
example, I would go to Common App if you're interested in studying in United States. And they have like com you can
23:12
apply through a lot of American universities uh through Common App and they do have like a common app do have
23:18
like a an application fee waver. So if you uh if you fulfill any of the
23:24
criteria there, you don't have to pay any application fee to apply to the university. So you wouldn't have to uh
23:29
pay any application fee to apply to a scholarship there as well. Ammon uh do you want to add anything maybe any
23:35
corrections or anything like that about this question?
23:41
Um no I think you've covered it all basically that's
23:46
uh that's it. Uh so there are universities that
23:52
uh do not charge any fees when you apply and throughout the years they're getting
23:57
fewer and fewer. There are fewer of those now. Um even those that were free
24:03
at some point no charge application fees. Um but there are still uh other
24:09
universities that don't. Um you can apply for a waiver uh at some
24:16
universities of course uh and they always uh state that on their website.
24:22
So if you are if your financial uh if your financial situation doesn't allow
24:28
you to pay any application fees then you can apply for a waiver. Uh I
24:35
think these are the ways to uh go about applying to universities without having
24:42
to uh pay any fee. All right, thank you very much. So with
24:48
Becky says, "As a person who have no English proficiency certificate like ILts, TOFL dual lingo, do you think I
24:55
can get accepted to fully funding scholarships? I want to study computer science or AI abroad?" I mean the most
25:01
obvious but also the lame answer to this is yeah if you are applying to a
25:06
university where the where English is not the like language of instruction but then you would have to learn the
25:12
language of that country like in Germany you can study in German etc etc but I'm guessing you are looking for somewhere
25:19
you can study in English but you do not have any English proficiency so I don't
25:27
think you like first of all a lot First of all, I think pretty much every university offering English courses will
25:34
ask for an English proficiency and like you cannot apply for a scholarship
25:41
unless you can get into the university. I mean, even if you can, you will not get the scholarship if you're not admitted to the university. So, Aean,
25:48
this is a tricky one. Do you think what do you think in general about this
25:53
question? Um, yes. So there is no real way around
25:59
this. Uh uh all universities would require a certain level of English
26:04
proficiency to be able to admit you. Uh that being said, there are two cases
26:10
where the uh English proficiency certificate is not required. Yeah.
26:16
One is if you're a native speaker, if your country is considered to be uh or
26:23
if you're native to a country where English is considered to be a native language, then you don't have to apply
26:30
for that. So for example like uh Ghana
26:35
uh is one example where uh students from there are not required to uh provide any
26:42
proof of language proficiency as they are considered native speakers.
26:48
Uh the second option is that if you had your previous degree fully in English so
26:53
you get a certificate from your university proving that uh your studies or your previous studies uh if uh you're
27:01
a bachelor so if you had a your bachelor's degree somewhere they would uh vouch for you that you uh have taken
27:08
that degree in English and that would be proof enough of your proficiency. Other
27:14
than these two uh cases uh you must take one of the uh English proficiency tests
27:20
be the Alice for Dualingo dependent on what the uh university asks for. Uh
27:27
concerning the list of countries that are exempt from uh providing uh a
27:33
certificate. They will always be on the university's website. So they will tell you that students from this country do
27:38
not have to and it will be very clearly stated,
27:43
right? I mean yes it would be easier to just like get a certificate from Dualingo
27:49
perhaps probably. Uh but yeah I mean unless maybe you're from a country or
27:56
native language is also used in in another country for for for specific programs. I don't think you can just I
28:03
don't Yeah, I don't think you can you can um study abroad without learning a
28:09
language that is used abroad. So yeah. Um so yeah, this week we're talking
28:14
about like some affordable Okay, we have most of this university needs SAT test
28:20
score. I wish there's a way around it. Um which specific universities or group
28:27
of universities are you talking about? uh because there are a lot of
28:32
universities that I think are not looking for that. Um Aean, what would
28:38
you say? Yeah, like I would disagree with that statement because most of the
28:44
universities I check on a daily basis are test optional. So
28:49
yeah, they they provide SAT an SAT score that
28:55
you might want to apply with, but it's always optional. So they tell you that you don't have to. Um so it is
29:03
definitely not required by most universities. There are a few who still do but the majority are test optional.
29:11
They don't require any uh standardized tests in order to admit students. It's
29:17
mostly for students who have lower GPA and who think that their GPA doesn't reflect
29:24
their real level. uh they resort to taking the SAT to prove that um their
29:32
level of proficiency in whatever uh subjects they their GPA shows they're lacking at is not real and is not
29:39
reflected in their GPA. So they just take the SAT. Other than that, I would
29:45
definitely disagree that most universities uh need it because they don't.
29:50
And obviously of course uh the universities that are not in Qatar University required for scholarship does
29:57
it I I didn't know that u yeah some universities do but for in a lot of
30:02
scholarships as well um it's kind of I guess optional but some of them there
30:09
are some scholarships that um there's just like they don't require it as much
30:15
as it is kind of given to a specific uh test score For example, if you go to
30:22
Korea and you get a test called uh topic, which is test of proficiency in Korean and like there are a lot of
30:29
universities that will give you automatic scholarships based on how well you did on the test. Uh so maybe it's
30:36
like one of those um Qatar this is Qatar University required for which
30:42
scholarship is that? International student scholarship. This is a full funding one.
30:50
H but a minimum high school GPA of 95% having good reputation and background
30:56
not receiving other scholarships and sponsorships. I don't think we've we have that scholarships you're talking
31:02
about in our uh in our page in our database. Let's look into the university
31:10
academic scholarships, admission scholarship. Perhaps you're h now I was going to say maybe you are
31:18
looking for a scholarship. You're looking at a scholarship that is for uh okay the applicant may apply to the
31:24
admission scholarship through online uh etc etc during announced application upon receiving may applica.
31:33
[Music] So the for example for this one it's not I don't think it is mandatory. It just
31:40
like they will consider like it's usually a way for them to be able to um
31:46
rank like to see how good a student you are. I mean that's that's basically why
31:52
it exist of course but I don't see any scholarship um that is that requires you to have it
32:03
SAT SAT so uh which English proficiency test do
32:08
you think is acceptable in most countries I guess like from what I've seen TOEFL and LTS is pretty much the
32:16
same and it it goes everywhere I guess uh Amen do you think Uh do you have something like a better information for
32:23
us perhaps like oh tuffle is better for this situation
32:28
might be better for like these countries or something like that. Um I don't think there's such such a
32:35
thing as that. It's just they're both equally as good and they're both uh
32:40
accepted. So it just comes down to Mhm. uh the applicants themselves
32:47
because they're are different tests in so many ways and you have to see which one works for you best. But as far as
32:54
being accepted by universities, they're both uh accepted. So Dualingo is the
32:59
exception where some universities accept it, some don't. But these two are always
33:05
interchangeable and the all universities say you have to have either or. It
33:11
doesn't matter which one. I mean I've never seen any scholarship or any application procedure that one is
33:17
accepted and the other is excluded. It's just like English proficiency and it's
33:22
just like uh TOFL or LTS is pretty much this first two that is named. Hi as hi
33:29
there Solu Krypu. Um is it always better to include SAT score in applications or only if
33:36
they're above average scores? I I would I would guess so. I would
33:42
guess like if they're not uh I'm not sure uh what happens like if your safety
33:48
score is like bad and you kind of don't admit it uh included. Aean, what do you
33:54
think? Um yeah. So I don't I don't see a point
34:01
if it's not required. I don't see a point in having it there if the score is low. So it will just probably hurt you
34:08
more than it will benefit you. So I guess if it's not required then it's
34:14
low then just don't include it. As simple as that. Yeah. I guess it kind of depends on the
34:19
rest of your application. Like if it's dragging it down I don't I don't I don't
34:26
think there is as much reason to include it.
34:33
So uh I mean also like what what would you say is it main difference between
34:38
TEFL and LTS? you said like uh they would work for like different uh like
34:45
they have different aspects and like I never taken any either of either of that
34:50
or any other like proficiency test. Uh like what would you say for example if you're maybe would say like if you're
34:57
this type of person or like you are better at this I know like speaking or listening or something like that is
35:03
better for you. if you're something uh more into this type of thing, tough could be better for you. Like could you
35:09
give us any information about that? Um so generally the TOEFL is notoriously
35:18
known for being longer than the ILTS. I think sometimes it goes as long as 4
35:25
hours and uh many students don't really uh like that. Uh it is uh in some ways
35:35
uh easier but the length doesn't really help. Um
35:42
generally you take the TOEFL just with a computer. You don't have any
35:49
uh human interaction when it comes to uh
35:55
the exam. Whereas the eyelets you in the speaking portion you usually have an
36:00
examiner who talks to you either in person or through a live call.
36:06
Uh whereas in the tofu you just talk to the computer through a microphone and uh and that's that. So for people who feel
36:14
like they would be anxious talking to a person uh just an in person or just a
36:21
live uh video call and they would feel like they wouldn't perform as well uh
36:27
it's better that they take the TOEFL because they don't really have that pressure of talking to another person.
36:34
And for people who feel more confident talking to another person and think that they would do better if there is a live
36:41
interaction then eyelets is for them. Um I think there is a portion in the
36:48
eyelets where you have to describe a chart and uh describe a map and that's
36:55
not in the TOEFL. most of the uh the questions in the so far are just uh MCQ
37:03
so it's multiple choice questions. Mhm. Um yeah so I think these are the main
37:10
things that I can think of on the top of my head but I'm pretty sure there there are a few more uh differences between
37:16
the two. Okay, thank you very much. So Ki says what documents should I prepare while
37:23
applying for scholarships? I mean I wanted I wanted to stay prepared before their admission began. So can you tell
37:29
me sorry what documents shall I own at least. So first of all um like you can
37:36
see our test and documents section uh like what what to get uh like documents
37:42
also you can read about proficiency tests standardized ones etc. And like
37:48
usually you can also I would advise you if you have a specific country that you want to apply for a scholarship in I
37:56
would advise you to go to our country guides and let's say you want to apply to a scholarship in Australia. Um and
38:03
like we do have stuff here about like documents and tests needed uh like
38:10
review recommendation letters uh complete guide to GMAT um or like hang
38:18
on applying to university complete guide etc etc etc. So, first of all, that is
38:24
like usually a lot a lot of those are uh like you would hang on. Uh I was going
38:30
to just defer to Aean and our Zoom call just ended. So, it's going to be like a
38:36
minute of lull in here. Um so, first of all, regardless of what
38:42
happens like uh whatever you read, you will always have to go and read
38:48
specifically about the scholarship. Let's look at any scholarships, right?
38:54
Hi, Em? Yeah, I can hear you. All right, I can hear you as well. Um, great. So, I was saying uh there are
39:01
specific uh documents that you would always kind of need. For example, let's
39:07
look into the this and
39:12
uh hang on application deadline. So in school application procedure you
39:20
can look into these like a lot of these will be pretty much the same with uh you applying to university like your
39:27
credentials uh if you have uh any like
39:32
proficiency or something like that cobe says what documents should I prepare while applying for scholarships. I mean
39:38
I wanted to stay prepared before their admission began. So, can you tell me what documents I shall own at least?
39:44
Like they're look they're asking for like a basic uh
39:49
list of documents that you would need pretty much for any scholarship. Would you like to say anything about that?
39:55
Yeah. Well, that's the thing. So, the list of documents is uh for one
40:01
scholarship dependent. So some scholarships require more documents than others and uh for two it is country
40:11
dependent. So what what country you're coming from and to have a comprehensive list I think
40:20
my best advice is to go to our section of uh scholarship recipients then filter
40:27
by nationality to your nationality then go to uh any of the stories there and
40:34
then go to how did you prepare to apply for the scholarship uh section and then there they will most of most applicants
40:41
would uh give you the full list of the uh documents they had prepared prior
40:50
to applying uh for the scholarship. And most of them state that the first step
40:57
they had to do was to check the university's official website for the
41:03
required documents. So it's as simple as that. And the moment you apply for your
41:10
first scholarship, you will have most of the documents you need. Uh and most of the time you would have to add one or
41:16
two or just remove one or two. Uh that would be the case most of the time. So I
41:23
think to to have a comprehensive list, this is the best way to go about it. and
41:29
you'll see and you'll start to see what documents most applicants uh prepared
41:36
before applying for scholarships. It's usually um their uh letters of motivation,
41:43
recommendation letters. uh these are uh usually documents that
41:49
you should get uh quite early especially for the letters of recommendation because you'd have to reach out to uh
41:57
your teachers to give those to you and that might take some time. So
42:03
I guess that's uh one of the most important documents to secure pretty
42:09
early. the rest is really up to you and when it's in your hands uh you have time
42:14
to do it whenever but whenever it's up to other people you have to secure those
42:19
documents first. So if it's uh a teacher is going to give you that the early you
42:24
do it the earlier you do it the better it is for you because they're busy and you don't have any timeline as to when
42:34
they're going to give it back. So, it's better to ask early. But when it comes to other documents, you can get those
42:39
whenever you want, right? Okay. Thank you very much, Aan.
42:47
Um, yeah, I guess that's that's pretty much all we can say about that.
42:53
And so, yeah, guys, if you have any other questions, feel free to ask them in the
42:59
chat. Yeah, I didn't talk about scholarship stories. Sorry about that. So basically scholarship stories are um
43:07
let me do like hang on right we have
43:12
couple of hundreds stories here apparently so these are people who have earned scholarships that are very
43:18
popular uh like deans award uh here we have commonwealth scholarship Chinese
43:25
government scholarship um so let's see again Chinese so like
43:31
basically the best scholarships you'll find and global scholarships find these people
43:38
and have them tell their story to us. For example, you can just uh like filter for country, let's say uh let's say
43:47
Germany, right? And a lot of these people will be people who earn DAD
43:53
scholarship which is the government scholarship in Germany which is one of the hang yeah which is one of the most
43:59
um competitive scholarships uh government scholarships because Germany
44:04
doesn't have a lot of full funding scholarships anyway. So I think if you're going for a like a big
44:11
scholarship, a popular competitive scholarship, um the best thing you can
44:17
do is to go to our scholarship story section, look for that scholarship. You can just click on that scholarship to
44:23
see all the the stories that we have and just basically read about these people
44:28
have won who have earned that scholarship, right? their journey,
44:34
scholarship details, educational background, how they prepare, uh how was your how was their experience, uh like
44:40
what did they do to apply, how what would they do differently, what advice
44:46
would they give? And uh I think the best thing here is a lot of these people are
44:52
sharing their LinkedIn or other social media contact information. So like if
44:57
you want to go and apply for a DAD basically you can just add this person on LinkedIn and directly ask your dad a
45:06
question questions to to a person who have got DAD scholarship. I think this is like
45:13
the best thing you can do if you're looking for a really big scholarship. So uh they are very very much useful.
45:20
While preparing a letter of recommendation, which one do you suggest? Writing the letters general for all universities or specifically for one
45:28
university? That's that's a very specific question. So, I'm going to defer to Ammon immediately. Aean, what
45:34
do you think?
45:43
Um I'm not sure why they're writing the letter of
45:49
recommendation. Um I thought they
45:54
to get the recommendation letter uh like targeting to targeting a
46:00
specific university or or code would be key. Were you talking about personal statement? I'm not sure. Yeah, that's
46:07
what I'm trying to Yeah, that's that's what I'm trying to understand. Whether they mean their personal statement or
46:14
would a personal statement already be targeted to a specific university when
46:20
you apply? Yes. Yeah, it definitely would. So, my answers would be different dependent on
46:26
whether it's a letter of recommendation or a personal statement because or a
46:31
letter of motivation. So, it's it's the same thing. Uh, for letters of motivation, they're university specific,
46:38
they're scholarship specific, and you have to be as specific as possible because if you write a general one, uh,
46:45
you're doing it completely wrong because they're trying to find students who actually understand the
46:54
the goal, the objectives of the scholarship, and they're trying to find
47:00
their target uh, students. And if you don't demonstrate that you understand
47:05
those goals and objectives, uh you are
47:11
never getting that scholarship. So that is one big thing when it comes to applying to scholarships is to actually
47:18
demonstrate that you understand what the scholarship is about and then demonstrate that you want to use it in
47:25
the way it is intended to be used. Uh that being said, for letters of
47:31
recommendation, they come from your teachers. Um
47:37
yes, there are cases where students write them and then the teacher reads
47:43
them and then they're happy with what they read. Sometimes teachers don't have
47:49
time. They ask you to write it. They read it and then if they're satisfied,
47:54
they will say that that's what they think. uh but it's it's less common now because
48:02
generally the teacher has to submit it themselves uh and even in that case you can write
48:08
it and then they submit it. So that's also fine but generally you'll have to
48:14
talk to your teacher first before doing that. So you don't just write your letter of recommendation and then go to
48:20
them. So it's up to them whether they want to write it or they want you to write it and then they vouch for it.
48:27
Um, yeah. So, I guess in uh in the case of a letter of motivation, it has to be
48:34
as specific as possible, but for the letter of recommendation, it doesn't have to be it can be very general and
48:39
you can use it for all of your applications basically.
48:46
Okay. Thank you very much, Aean. So yeah guys, if you have any other questions um just like we because we're
48:54
going to end the live stream in a couple of minutes if you don't have any other
48:59
questions. So if you have any just write them in the chat would we're going to do
49:05
our best to answer them for you otherwise we're going to kind of end the live stream here.
49:13
Should I say to whom it concerns or just to university name?
49:20
Amen. We still haven't gotten the answer to
49:25
our main question. Yeah. Right.
49:30
Is there a recommendation letter, personal statement?
49:43
So, okay, we're going to we're going to wait for that information for a couple of minutes and after that we can perhaps
49:50
end the live stream. So I want to do like more stuff about uh
49:57
like kind of like world knowledge about like talking about countries etc as well
50:04
uh in the live streams that will help us pass the time. Do you guys have any
50:09
recommendations like things that you would be interested in perhaps like we can uh can talk about
50:17
uh learning languages we can play like Wordle or stuff like that. Uh because
50:23
this is like I I don't want this to be like I come come in just talk about
50:28
scholarships and like ceaselessly and then end the live stream. Uh I think it
50:33
would be better for us to like if it was more chill, we can wait for uh questions
50:39
to appear. So yeah, if you have any recommendations, you might consider
50:45
those doing stuff. I don't think we can play like Joesser
50:50
or something like that. Although there's a there's a game called Time Guesser uh
50:56
which is a really good game uh because it's like it's it's not like Geogesser
51:01
where you have to guess where you are but it also like it's an it's a photo
51:07
uh why am I telling you? Hang on. So it's I play this all the time. I really like
51:14
it. Is that No, I'm not interested. continue
51:20
the game. So, like they give you a photo and you not only have to guess where the
51:26
place is, but also the year from like 1900 to 2025. And it's like I will I've
51:34
realized that I'm terrible at at timing the photos even though I study history.
51:40
So, yeah, this I think this is a much more fun game.
51:46
Um, which one do you recommend? Focusing on one uni or country
51:51
country and uh okay which one do you recommend focusing on one union or
51:57
country and waiting for their scholarship program or searching all over other countries with my desired
52:04
field of study. So you you do realize code Beck you still didn't give us
52:09
answer the answer about uh whether you're talking about a recommendation letter or a personal statement. I'm
52:15
going to take this as you being 100% satisfied with our answer. So, we're
52:20
going to move on to your next question. So I think um I think that kind kind of
52:26
depends on the field of study like if you're um if you're maybe want if you
52:33
want to study something specific um like medicine or something that would really
52:39
help you study in a specific country I guess then a program over uh location
52:46
would be kind of better but if you're looking for more like your experience
52:52
your finances are more important for you. You're more looking for that study
52:58
abroad experience rather than uh getting really really really spec like uh
53:04
targeted education on a specific subject. I think looking for certain countries or regions can be a better
53:10
idea because uh they do have very specific features aspects like um like
53:19
it's going to be very completely different experience if like studying in
53:24
Japan or United States but if you are looking for I don't know let's say you want to study AI and like China for
53:32
example is a very good place for that or United states uh uh or like maybe you
53:38
want to study engineering again Japan or Germany might be might be very good
53:43
choices or like there are some subjects that are very country specific but but other than that I guess like looking for
53:50
a specific country or region might be better what do you think
53:58
um I guess either approaches is fine really so as you said it's uh uh
54:05
situational um you can
54:11
narrow your field of search, you can make it as broad as possible to improve your chances of getting scholarships.
54:18
Um and both approaches are valid. I am of the opinion that you should just
54:24
apply to as many scholarships as you can in as many countries as you can because
54:30
why not? it it it really helps and uh
54:35
there is a higher chance of getting a scholarship somewhere. So uh just do
54:40
that. But if you want to focus on a specific country uh on a specific
54:45
university on one scholarship there is nothing wrong with that because there are many many students who focus on only
54:52
one scholarship and they got it. So uh it's uh there is no right or wrong
55:00
way to approach this. All right. Yeah. I think there are some
55:06
there are a lot of fields of study that studying a specific country doesn't
55:11
really matter all that much. Uh but then there are ones that yeah you better get
55:17
it in I guess I don't know Kazakhstan is the best at studying architecture so
55:25
let's go to the are there need-based scholarships yes there are need-based scholarships that is a very very much a
55:33
quite broad spectrum of scholarships um basically there are need-based or
55:39
merit-based uh so that's what uh James Bond was talking about like for example there are
55:45
financial aid scholarships in United States they don't like they are
55:52
like the amount or whether you get it kind of depends on uh whether you real
55:58
like really need it or like your what is your financial need in the previous question I was asking about the letter
56:05
of recommendation I noticed that some letters start with to whom it may concern while letter begins with the
56:11
name of a specific university I'm I'm not sure what advantage to whom it may concern would have over
56:19
the specific university name. Uh but still let's go to Aean for that or
56:25
export Aan. What do you what do you think?
56:38
Amen. Um I don't think you should say Oh, sorry. I was muted. I was talking.
56:44
Um yeah, you shouldn't say either of those things. You should just write it's not
56:51
when we say it's a motivation letter. It's not a letter per se where it has the format of a letter. You just have to
56:59
write about your passion about the subject. You're passion about the scholarship. You have to show that you
57:05
have made your research. You understand the objectives. But there is so the opening is just an introduction rather
57:11
than to whom it may concern or to dear someone. So you just don't do that. You
57:16
just get straight into it. uh that's how it usually works. So I
57:22
wouldn't really worry about that. Just uh do your research about the scholarship and then uh write about
57:28
that. I think you can find many many samples online of letters of motivation.
57:35
And again it's not a recommendation letter. So for recommendation letters they're
57:43
completely different and they're written by your teachers. uh they're not written by you most of
57:50
the time. So, uh you're mainly talking about a letter
57:55
of motivation and it doesn't have that format that starts as uh a normal letter
58:02
would. Okay.
58:08
Um I don't see any other questions. So, we're going to finish our live
58:13
stream here unless you come up with a very quick fast question. Um, thank you
58:18
very much. Okay, hang on. So, deep scholarships are only in the United States. No, I I didn't say that. I
58:23
didn't say that. Uh, there are NEP scholarships pretty much everywhere, right, Aan?
58:32
Um, I'm not sure about everywhere, but I think it's mostly the US.
58:41
Most other universities, uh, whether in Europe or Asia, just give
58:47
uh, at least international students merit scholarships.
58:54
I didn't realize that. Okay. So, it's it's mostly in US, right? I'm trying to do medicine. Do you have any idea the
59:01
best university I can go? So like um we made a couple of videos about like
59:07
the best medical schools in a specific country, but other than that like uh I
59:13
guess the best university you can go for to study go to study medicine is like
59:20
the highest ranking uh medicine university. Like you can just uh the highest ranking university you could
59:26
find. Uh I mean other than that if you have a specific question like a specific
59:31
thing that you're asking for make it a more detailed question maybe we can like a scholarship uh because I got three A
59:38
stars at A level I want to do medicine from your experience any best place to go or any recommendations or like in
59:45
terms of worth it for money. Okay. Okay. This is a much more um manageable
59:51
question and I'm going to defer to Aman. Aean, what do you think about this?
1:00:02
Um yeah, just sorry. Um just concerning the previous question, I saw some
1:00:08
samples of uh motivation letters that start as uh dear admission committee. So
1:00:17
you might consider that if you want to take that for M. Uh I was just looking that up.
1:00:28
Okay. What do you think about this last question?
1:00:33
Like they say they cannot afford like $50,000 a year, more like 20,000. So if
1:00:40
that's the case, I would prefer like I I would advise you to look for something perhaps in um Asian countries would be
1:00:49
better to find in that uh tuition range or um I guess Europe. There are a lot of
1:00:57
very good universities in Europe. I'm kind of excluding United Kingdom because United King like 20,000 a year is not
1:01:04
Malaysia. I'm I don't really know much about Malaysia. So we're going to ask Aean that too. Um but like in United
1:01:12
Kingdom can find universities with like about 20,000 tuition a year but usually I
1:01:20
think med medical schools are medical schools can be higher tuition medical school tuition. So you you need to look
1:01:27
into that as well. Um Aman what what would you would you uh give as an advice?
1:01:36
Um yeah so we talked about medical subjects earlier and how some countries
1:01:42
just teach them in their native language. So that is all always a big
1:01:48
consideration even if tuition could be uh cheaper for example in Asia.
1:01:54
Yeah. Um medical course could most likely not be taught in English.
1:02:01
Uh Malaysia is a good country to consider, but I'm not
1:02:07
very familiar with how uh medical subjects are are taught there.
1:02:13
Um, so if you if you're talking about a budget of 20,000 a year,
1:02:22
uh, so I would assume that it's not just tuition, but tuition and, uh, living
1:02:29
expenses because that's that's a big thing. Uh, to clarify,
1:02:36
uh, 20K would get you anywhere in Europe. Uh, so Austria, the Netherlands,
1:02:44
Belgium, uh, France, but I'm pretty sure that medical subjects are all in French uh,
1:02:51
in France. Uh, but in the Netherlands, Belgium, Austria,
1:02:58
uh, Hungary, I would assume that they're taught in English. So these are uh all countries to
1:03:04
consider and I think that the tuition would not even exceed um€10,000.
1:03:14
Um they say because like ME in Australia is about 8,000 80,000 a year in Malaysia
1:03:20
it's 30. Do you think it's worth it? I could probably afford it. And they say they don't they don't really want to go
1:03:26
to Europe, you know, with the racism. Um
1:03:31
I'm not sure if Europe is more racist than let's for example Australia. Uh
1:03:36
like like you would uh you would face more racism in Europe than uh you would
1:03:43
in Australia or even Malaysia. I'm not sure if you know like if you have much information about Malaysia but usually
1:03:50
we hear about uh racism against tourists or foreigners in like western
1:03:56
countries in like United States sometimes in Europe or like in specific countries but just because we don't hear
1:04:02
about uh racism in some other countries
1:04:07
like perhaps less developed countries absolutely does not mean it doesn't exist there. For example, in Turkey, uh,
1:04:15
like if you are living, I don't know, in in anywhere in the world, probably you
1:04:22
wouldn't hear about racism in Turkey as much as you hear about racism in United States. It absolutely does not mean
1:04:28
Turkey is not like Tur in Turkey, you won't face as much racism as in United
1:04:34
States. So I wouldn't um unless you know something about Malaysia that I don't I
1:04:39
wouldn't uh assume that in Malaysia you would face less um racism compared to
1:04:46
like let's say I know France uh for example. So uh that's it that's a kind of different question but Aean what do
1:04:54
you what do you think? Um, yeah. So, I'm not sure if I would
1:05:03
really uh
1:05:10
completely discard a specific country for
1:05:16
for example, racism. Yeah. And put a country over it just because I
1:05:22
I would assume that there is less less racism there. But like the likelihood is that in the country where you assume
1:05:27
there's no racism is the country where you'll face the most racism. Uh to me
1:05:34
when it comes to education I wouldn't I wouldn't really uh
1:05:40
factor that in. I would just uh focus on the universities themselves, the quality
1:05:45
of education I'm going to get because at the end of the day it's all about education. um unless you plan on uh
1:05:53
living there for the rest of your life after finishing your education.
1:05:59
Um it's it's just temporary. You're just going to get your degree and
1:06:04
uh and that's it. But if you plan on staying there, then that's a different consideration and then you'll have to
1:06:12
actually vet the country in more ways than one.
1:06:17
Uh so we don't really know your motivations and what you're looking to
1:06:23
do after the degree but before before getting the degree or while you're
1:06:29
trying to apply the most obvious options for
1:06:35
your budget. Yeah, you do need English proficiency
1:06:43
uh because uh in most of these countries like the Netherlands, Belgium, Austria,
1:06:49
Hungary, uh the uh the the medical uh courses are
1:06:56
taught in English or at least there are a few universities that do. Oh, well, if English is your first language, then you
1:07:03
don't even have to provide any English proficiency test. They're they're asking
1:07:08
like do you need to learn the local language or like English is enough like or in what situations English is enough?
1:07:17
Yeah, for for education purposes English is enough. Uh and most people in these countries at
1:07:24
least uh are
1:07:30
in Germany. No, no, no. That's that is a common misconception. Well, it depends
1:07:36
actually. So, I had a meeting with a university in Germany once and I and I
1:07:42
asked them the same question. I said I thought that in order to apply to any German university, you need a certain
1:07:49
level of uh German proficiency. They said no, you just need English and if the program is not in English, uh you
1:07:55
don't need any German uh you don't need any proof of German
1:08:00
proficiency. So, and I don't know why for the longest time many people
1:08:05
including me thought that you do need uh a certain level in German to be accepted
1:08:12
at German universities. But if the program is taught in German,
1:08:17
then of course you would need at least a C1 level. Other than that, if it's pro if it's in English, then sometimes I did
1:08:25
see that that they would ask for a minimal level in English uh sorry in German. Uh there are some universities
1:08:32
that do regardless of whether the program is taught in English or not. You do need a certain level like a B2,
1:08:38
sometimes it's a B1, but you do need to provide that. There are other
1:08:43
universities that just accept English and that's it. They wouldn't really require any German. So it's university
1:08:48
specific and I have seen both cases. All right. Thank you, Aean. So thank you
1:08:57
Seno Ko. Uh my day was great. I love Fridays because I get to come here and
1:09:03
talk to you and talk to Aean like do the live stream. It is just always fun. Uh
1:09:09
so yeah, my day was great. It's going better actually. So Colwood Beck is my
1:09:14
last question for today. What common mistakes should I avoid while applying? Thanks very much for your program. Thank
1:09:21
you very much for joining in. We are here every Friday. Um you can just join in. Um, Aean, what do you think are some
1:09:28
of the most common mistakes? Um, I think that probably the biggest
1:09:37
mistake is to write something that you think you would use to apply
1:09:44
to any university. So, not being as specific as possible
1:09:50
is going to really hurt your application. So, if you think that I'm going to write this one motivation
1:09:56
letter and I'm going to use it to apply to every university that I have on my list, you're going to fail at every
1:10:02
single one because they're looking for something that is specific to them, that is tailored to their university, to the
1:10:09
scholarship, and you need to demonstrate that you understand everything about
1:10:14
that scholarship, everything about that university, what they stand for. Um and this is the best way to show them
1:10:22
that you have made your research, you are really interested, you are really motivated to apply to uh this specific
1:10:30
university, this specific scholarship. And that's why it's called the motivation letter. You have to demonstrate your passion and how it led
1:10:38
to you pursuing uh studying at this specific university and uh pursuing this
1:10:44
specific scholarship. They all need to align otherwise
1:10:50
your application is going to come off as uh ingenuine or disguine. Sorry.
1:10:59
Uh so you're not going to sound Oh, sorry. No, no, go ahead. Sorry.
1:11:06
Oh, yeah. Uh yeah, you're not going to sound authentic and uh the person on the
1:11:13
other end reading your motivational learner is not going to feel that you are actually
1:11:20
uh a good fit for the scholarship because your passion doesn't show
1:11:26
and it's a big big thing. Um I think other than that is that always get
1:11:34
feedback. Don't think that uh your motivation letter is perfect once it's
1:11:39
done. You need feedback. You need to reread it yourself. Just leave it on the side for a few days, for a week, for two
1:11:46
weeks, then read it again and you can see that you can make a lot of improvements to it and then also give it
1:11:53
to other people and they give you feedback and then you can uh improve it from there as well. So don't never think
1:11:59
that it's perfect. always uh look for a second opinion and also
1:12:06
just look for your own second opinion after sitting on it for a while.
1:12:11
Uh yeah, I guess
1:12:17
these are things to consider. They're not
1:12:23
there are no common mistakes per se because it's not objective.
1:12:30
uh there is no it is not scored there the committee doesn't release the
1:12:37
motivation letters and tells you why these were denied or why these were
1:12:42
accepted. So there are no objective criteria to judge a letter of
1:12:48
motivation. But so we can't really say that there are common mistakes but at
1:12:53
least we can give some uh pointers as to what to do and the things you need to do
1:13:00
right in order to uh submit a good letter of motivation.
1:13:08
All right, thank you very much. Amen. And regular short says I completed my app for Kais and almost done with postc.
1:13:14
That's great to hear regular. I hope it happens. I hope like you get because both both kais and postc are really good
1:13:22
universities. Um so by the way you applied for the kai scholarship as well
1:13:28
right because if I remember correctly you apply to this while you are applying to the university. So I hope you get it.
1:13:34
I hope you get uh the scholarship as well. It's a really good university ka
1:13:40
uh one of the best technology universities that you can get. Uh it's all it's I think one of the one one of
1:13:46
the things that don't really get a lot get mentioned enough about uh Kai is that was it Da was it Da John? I think
1:13:55
it was in Da John it was not. So it's like it would be way more affordable than a lot of other good universities in
1:14:03
uh South Korea to live in even though it's really close to Soul as well. No
1:14:08
separate applic are you sure if I have maybe okay maybe they've changed it because if I remember
1:14:14
correctly when I made application tutorial for Kaist that like you could you could apply just like with uh
1:14:20
clicking a box or something like that. Okay, I hope you get it. I hope you get
1:14:26
uh like whichever you want more. Okay, thank you very much everyone for joining
1:14:33
in. if you're watching this uh as a VOD after the live stream. Thank you very much for watching and we'll be here next
1:14:40
Friday and we'll see uh maybe it will be both of us maybe we'll be we'll be
1:14:47
joined by Yan as well. So yeah, thank you very much and and thank you Aman for
1:14:52
joining me today. Uh thank you for having me. Yes. Okay,
1:15:00
see every everyone uh have a nice week and bye.
