I think we're live right now. Uh we'll just wait and see. All right. Hi
0:06
everyone. It's Global Scholarships and I'm your host AZ. I hope you're all doing well. I hope everything is going great. And as always, we are here with
0:12
another weekly live stream. Another Friday, another live stream. I'm saying always. Uh but yeah, we have been out
0:19
for uh last two weeks. Sorry about that. Uh we had like a technical difficulty
0:24
once and then I had to be outside of the city uh for for something. Anyway, so we
0:31
are back. Uh we're going to be doing this uh normally like upcoming weeks uh
0:36
same day, same hour and I think at some point uh Han Lee who is the founder of
0:42
global scholarships will also be joining us for some of the live streams. Anyway
0:49
uh so we are back. We are here. your globalcolarships.com. If you are new here, we are a platform
0:55
that shares a lot of informative stuff about scholarships, about studying abroad, about that type of thing. And as
1:00
always, of course, I'm just the host here. Uh we have our expert who's with
1:06
me right now. Hi, Aean. How are you? How are things? Um yes, I'm doing well, thank you. How
1:12
are you? I'm doing well too, thank you very much. So, Aean is here to answer your
1:18
questions. Basically, this is a Q&A live stream. If you at any point if you have any questions, just feel free to Yeah. Hi
1:26
there, Crypto with Kel. Uh it's good to see you. If you have any questions about scholarships, uh guys, like more
1:34
detailed the questions are, uh better we can help you. Uh because like sometimes people come and ask like um how can I
1:43
find scholarships or like what scholarships are there for me? uh like we can answer your questions better if
1:49
you give us more information like very specific information. So specific questions are always better. Uh by the
1:56
way uh if you're new here I normally wear glasses but my glasses are broken right now so I might have a tiny little
2:04
difficulty reading your messages but I can uh read crypto with Cal. Welcome. If
2:10
you have any questions about scholarships this is our website by the way. Let me share the link. Uh this is
2:16
completely free. Um like you'll see there's no pricing, there is no create
2:22
an account, register, there is no give us your information so we can sell them to data brokers or something like that.
2:30
It's just you go to our website and there are ton of uh free information,
2:36
free guides here. We can use them. Uh we have like guides about scholarships. We
2:41
have uh like we have scholarship stories etc etc. We'll talk talk about those in
2:46
a second. But um my favorite tool I think the be I think the most helpful
2:52
tool that we have um here is our search tool. Basically you can use this to
2:57
search for scholarships. We have a huge database of about like 4,500
3:04
scholarships and these are scholarships that are given by universities to newcoming
3:10
international students. All right. Uh so you can filter these um by degree if
3:17
you're a bachelor, if you're a master, you can filter them by location, country. We also recently, very recently
3:25
um like because of the popular demand, we added Asia and Europe. I've been uh
3:31
just like endlessly talking about that to Han for like months and in the end
3:37
they added Asia and Europe. So you can choose the location. Europe is a very
3:43
good location right now for uh studying abroad or looking for scholarships. Even
3:48
though there aren't that many scholarships, the countries are usually very very affordable in terms of like
3:54
tuition, in terms of living costs compared to of course like I mean relatively uh it's not as affordable as
4:01
China obviously uh but usually they are quite affordable. Uh you can choose
4:06
somewhere else. Uh some countries do have more scholarship opportunities than others. Uh hi there Zinas. Uh welcome to
4:14
our live stream. If you have any questions about scholarship studying abroad or anything like that, feel free
4:20
to ask them. Uh I've recently made a video about Sweden and like the best
4:27
medical schools in Sweden. So it's going to be like the long video will be up
4:33
tomorrow perhaps. Crypto with Kell says, "I've been browsing the entire internet for a full scholarship, but I can't find
4:40
it's totally frustrating. I can't afford to pay for application fee requests and my uh high GPA is 3.0.
4:48
So, um if you're if you are browsing the internet for uh full funding
4:54
scholarships, like I think one of the best tools uh that you can use is this.
5:00
Um but I guess you are hang on. Are you looking for like bachelor scholarship?
5:05
Anyway, so I'll just share the link with you just like let's see what full funding
5:12
scholarships are available at this point. Uh let's say full funding. Let's choose full funding here.
5:19
Um let's choose bachelors and then let's choose let's say open for application
5:26
right now. Yeah. Scholarship deadline open. So there are about 19 scholarships, full funding scholarships
5:34
uh that are open for application right now. Not all of these are for everyone by the way. You can filter for a subject
5:41
and nationality. Nationality usually doesn't matter. Uh like if you for example if there are 19 here uh and if
5:48
you filter for I don't know let's say Afghanistan uh you'll lose like maybe
5:53
two three uh something like that. Nationality usually doesn't matter. subject also usually does not matter but
6:00
keep in mind that uh to be able to apply to a scholarship you have to apply to a
6:05
program that that university offers. So like if you want to apply to Homer hit
6:11
non-resident scholarship in University of New Orleans obviously you'll have to go in and be admitted to a program that
6:18
they offer. So if you want to study like let's say artificial intelligence and they don't have a program for that you
6:24
cannot apply for this scholarship even though it says all subjects. So let me share this actually with you. So these
6:31
are the scholarships that are open right now. Um so hang on I didn't really see
6:39
this one. Freshman merit-based scholarships at Baylor University. I don't know much about this university.
6:45
don't know much about this scholarship either. So, from $1,000 to full cost of
6:52
attendance. Um, I think there there are better scholarships. By the way, if you're
6:58
really interested, uh I like we've just made like last uh every Monday uh we
7:06
share a video about five like best scholarships like five of the best scholarships currently, but I I try to
7:12
mix in a little bit like not talk about all the same scholarships all the time. Um Zena says, "How are you? I'm seeing a
7:20
scholarship in Germany because it's free. Recommend some advice." All right, I'm going to get get into that. Anyway,
7:28
uh crypto look into these and if you if anything peaks your interest as by the
7:33
way this one is an insanely good scholarship but it is really really difficult to get uh Lester B. Pearson
7:40
it's in Canada in Toronto University of Toronto one of I think it's the best university in Canada and I think it's
7:47
the best university in best scholarship in Canada as well. It covers your tuition fees, uh, book materials fees,
7:54
accommodation fees. Uh, not that many people get, but 30 37 is actually not that uh not that few either. So yeah, we
8:02
have like other countries as well, I think. No. Um, we have this Marvin B.
8:08
Perry Presidential Scholarship and Agnes Scott College up to four years up to 246
8:17
uh 64 uh,000. So yeah, look into these. There are a lot of scholarships. Uh but
8:24
we yeah, every every Monday we share a video about like best some of the best scholarships currently open. So like
8:30
following that will uh be very good for you. So I'm seeing MSE scholarship in
8:37
Germany because it's free recommend some advice. Um, Aean, do uh like do you get
8:46
what type of um advice they are asking for?
8:53
You're an expert. I'll defer. I just I just don't understand the
8:59
question. Um, so studying in Germany is free for
9:06
international students. Yeah. And I think we talk about this almost every week.
9:11
Mhm. Um yeah, so since tuition is free, uh
9:18
you should be able to demonstrate that you're able to support yourself for the duration of your studies. Um that is
9:25
usually around €12,000 a year. Um, but you don't have to pay anything other
9:32
than a small semester contribution of €200 to 300 euros. Uh, but it's not
9:38
anything egregious like uh big countries
9:44
um like the UK or the US or uh Canada, Australia where tuition fees uh are as
9:51
high as already 50k. So
9:56
compared to that 2 to300 uh euros per semester is really nothing.
10:02
Uh as far as scholarships are concerned they're really really scarce. The there's barely any scholarships.
10:10
Um the universities uh rarely offer any uh meaningful scholarships that would
10:16
help you support your studies uh in Germany. uh as far as your um
10:24
daily expenses are concerned. Um so you are left with uh the big
10:30
scholarship in Germany which is the D AAD scholarship. Uh and that's the only
10:36
one that would cover the rest. Uh not the only one but the biggest one at
10:42
least. Okay. So yeah guys, uh DD is the
10:49
government scholarship if you want to get more information. I think we made a video about this. Not sure. Um
10:56
our page for this just got like updated. So like if you're interested, look into
11:01
this. Also, I keep saying this all the time, but for like Hi there, regular shorts. Welcome to our live stream. It's
11:07
good to see you here again. Um what no uh so for some of the large larger uh
11:16
scholarships very competitive uh scholarships I think it's a really good idea to use our um scholarship recipient
11:23
stories. Hang on. What's going on? Um okay I'm going to try this again.
11:33
So D. Let's try that. Okay. Let's scroll down. Okay, so this these are people who
11:42
have earned these scholarships and basically they tell us about their story
11:47
like how they got this scholarships, test scores, the journey, background etc
11:52
etc. This is like some of the best and most direct information um you can get
12:00
insights you can get about these scholarships and you can directly uh contact these people. Usually they give
12:06
us uh their LinkedIn account so we can just like contact them and ask them
12:12
directly about uh scholarships as well. So yeah, DA you can look into that. One
12:17
thing about uh scholarships like looking for scholarships in Germany Zunas is now
12:25
normally in the United States or anything any like most countries like uh
12:31
United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia or like Japan, South Korea or any country like that uh you would look
12:38
for full funding scholarships because full funding means it covers the tuition
12:43
and then it gives you something a little bit more. The thing is in Germany you don't have full funding scholarships
12:51
because they don't have any uh tuition to cover. So like if the university doesn't uh charge any tuition fee it's
12:58
$0 uh any scholarship will not be able to cover tuition like there is no
13:03
tuition to cover. So they are not full funding scholarships. So we have partial
13:08
scholarships that is like for example this student assistantship in University of Kasal
13:14
right this looks like a partial funding scholarship but if you get this what you
13:21
get is basically just a full funding scholarship because like you already don't have to pay any tuition because
13:27
the tuition is free right uh I I like I I I'm hoping like I hope I can uh I can
13:36
like make you understand what I'm talking about, right? For example, Technical University of Munich, this is
13:41
a partial funding scholarship. They usually these ones give you about like €6,000
13:48
per semester, which kind of comes to like 11 12,000 per year, which is how
13:55
much they think you will be spending uh as a student in Germany. So, keep that in mind. If you're like when looking for
14:02
um scholarships in Germany, keep in mind that you will not see any full funding scholarships because it cannot be full
14:08
funding if there is no tuition to cover. Right. Okay guys, if you have any other
14:15
um questions, can you talk about postc UG admission? How competitive it is? All
14:21
right. Uh another week, another question about post. I'm going to immediately
14:28
defer to Aean. Ammon, what would you say about post tech UG admission? How
14:33
competitive do you think it is? I really have no idea. Um, I can't even
14:41
conjure a guess about how competitive it is. Um I remember we talked about it uh
14:49
for for a bit but I think uh whoever asked was just asking about the
14:56
university itself and uh whether it would be a good choice but
15:01
as far as how competitive it is and um how many people apply compared to how
15:08
many people are accepted I really don't have the statistics for that And
15:15
uh I wouldn't know without actually checking.
15:20
I'm filing my application and it is a hassle. I don't think we have uh any
15:27
any information like any uh contact that we made.
15:32
uh like you can you like you can get help from our page website also like if
15:39
you have any question uh like so so this is the page for this university that we
15:44
have uh like if you have any question about scholarships about any specific
15:51
scholarship about any specific university um in my opinion the best place to put it is in our comment
15:58
section because here Yani who is the founder of global school he's the like the founder of uh the our platform
16:06
answers all the questions like literally every single question. Uh it is so I think this is one of the best places
16:12
that you can put your question because like like it's not just like live stream
16:17
like he would also have a time to look it up etc. So yeah I think this is the
16:23
best place you can ask for this. Other than that, uh we Yani by the way again
16:29
uh he plans to join us for some of the live streams uh today. We talked about
16:34
that. So, uh like if we are lucky, we'll have him here for at least some of the
16:40
uh live streams perhaps. Anyway, uh if you have any other questions guys, keep in mind that you
16:47
can just feel free to ask them in the chat. This week I've made a video made a
16:52
short about hang on.
16:58
So this one might be of interest to some of you. So
17:04
So these are cheap universities in France. I made a video saying like these
17:10
are 400 four universities in France that are below €200 and they are uh these are
17:17
some of the best universities in France by the way and their tition fees are
17:23
like €200 like below €200 like 170 uh
17:29
like some of these are like in the top 100 globally and you can just go there
17:35
and study in these universities just for like hundred a couple of hundred euros
17:41
uh per semester. We don't really talk that much about uh France. Usually they
17:47
do not have a lot of scholarships. They're kind of like Germany in the sense that usually their universities do
17:53
not uh charge like a lot of tuition. Um but for example, Paris, this is like
18:00
literally I think this is the it is the first or the second highest ranking university in France. And it's just like
18:08
100 or something like that. Euros. Uh we have some Aean, did you say something?
18:16
Um no. Okay. Uh we also have some people going into this university with like Arasmus
18:23
Mundo scholarship and funded graduate position. We didn't really Hang on. Let
18:28
me see. Yeah, we have about four
18:34
uh four scholarship stories just for need 4,000 for France preparatory
18:41
course. Um I don't know much about that. Amen. Uh could you
18:47
inform me about this? You need €4,000 for preparatory course.
18:54
Is it a thing in France that you have to take? Um so the universities that are
19:02
affiliated with uh the governing body for public institutions in France uh
19:08
compon are basically same as Germany. So the tuition would be
19:15
around 400 maybe it would go as far as 700 800
19:21
uh per semester but it's nothing egregious. again, it's it's fine. As far
19:27
as the €4,000 for repatory course, I I wouldn't know
19:33
uh because the people I know uh already uh like who are in France or could
19:41
already speak French and had their education in French. So, this probably applies to people who need
19:47
Yeah. uh the French language. I mean, they didn't say either uh to be
19:53
honest. Yeah. So, that would be my best assumption,
19:58
but as far as I know for education in general, yeah, it will be in French for
20:03
the most part, but if you can speak French already, you don't need to pay €4,000,
20:11
right? Um so yeah usually they are also like um the country is not all that more
20:20
expensive than any other place that you'll live in Europe basically
20:26
especially I mean obviously if you live in Paris it will be a bit expensive in
20:31
terms of rent uh but again it's usually not Hang on actually let me see if we can get a number um
20:40
I think I I think I did But let's see living costs in this university and cost
20:46
of living in university Saturday.
20:52
Let's see
20:57
minimum age. How much does it cost? Well, let's try to find. Okay,
21:06
we have departure and initial expenses. That's it.
21:13
All right. So, we have like fees. Rent is Yeah, as you can see, rent can
21:19
be quite high in Paris. H, they don't give you like a like a
21:26
total number, but I guess it's it would be something above a,000. I mean, it's
21:33
France. It's Paris. So you have University Orlan again Orliance is a
21:38
very very like good location in France and then you have
21:45
University of Stressburg. Anyway, you might be interested in these guys because like uh it is like tution
21:52
is a very big issue for a lot of people like you're going to another country to
21:58
study and like yeah maybe you can just work part-time or something like that to
22:05
cover your living expenses. You can be extremely frugal uh not spend a lot of money uh like cook everything yourself
22:12
uh blah blah blah but like there's nothing that you can do to avoid uh
22:17
paying tuition fees. I mean other than of course getting scholarships etc. So
22:22
yeah um there's there a lot of people in here uh watching but not that many
22:30
questions. Again guys, this is a live stream. This
22:37
is a Q&A live stream. If you have any questions about scholarships, about studying abroad, just feel uh free to
22:43
ask them. So, this is one of the things that uh I I was looking into this uh
22:50
week. We didn't do a lot of stuff about we didn't make a lot of stuff about um
22:56
France really. Uh there are some scholarships in France. We can look into
23:03
France. Uh yeah there there about eight and some of them are full tution.
23:11
Uh we have one partial funding in University of Leil.
23:17
This is about 3,500 award paid start of semester additional
23:23
relocation. So let's see if the university has tuition. No doesn't. So
23:28
for example, look at this. Like they give you for masters about uh in total about like €7,000.
23:36
So this is a partial funding scholarship. Uh so like perhaps you wouldn't look into this among other like
23:44
full funding scholarships, full tuition scholarships. But this is they give you €7,000
23:50
and you also don't have to pay like tuition. It's just is about €200 or something like that. So it's kind of
23:56
like full fun day. So yeah. Um
24:03
obviously when we talk about France we do have one um government scholarship
24:09
AFL excellence scholarship program. If you're interested you can look into this as well.
24:16
Um yeah. So I don't see any new questions.
24:27
Anyway, Aean, um, since we don't have any new questions, do you have like any
24:34
news to give us about like what do you think uh about the
24:39
current situation or current um climate in studying abroad or scholar
24:45
scholarships? There hasn't been anything really
24:51
recently since it's the holidays and most universities haven't even
24:56
started. So I haven't heard any thing that would be
25:03
of note here. Mhm. I guess the situation in the US is still the same where international students
25:11
are less likely to get in now. Um, so
25:16
there's that. Um, even though it's probably one of the
25:21
best countries to get a scholarship. Yeah, there are so many universities
25:28
um many of which offer full fully funded scholarships
25:34
uh admission scholarships given upon admission uh need blind and uh needware
25:45
uh financial aid. So these are all uh things that international students could
25:52
benefit from uh in the past and now most
25:58
international students are less likely to uh get these awards or even get into
26:04
uh universities in the United States. So I guess this is the one thing that uh
26:13
people need to be reminded of uh when thinking about studying abroad and
26:18
specifically in the United States that it's just not as easy as it once was.
26:24
Yeah. Also just like living in United States right now as
26:30
like coming from another country is kind of like starting to become scary a little bit. like I wouldn't I I
26:37
genuinely wouldn't want to uh be there uh as someone coming from a foreign
26:42
country. it it really is becoming scary a little bit but there are very good
26:48
scholarships like look at this so this is uh all the full funding uh sorry hang on full funding scholarships for
26:55
bachelors that are currently open for application there are 19 of them and you'll see about like 17 of these are in
27:02
United States they have a lot of scholarships uh but again like not only I mean
27:09
another thing is the fact that they are very competitive like American scholarships.
27:16
So perhaps if you're interested, Canada might be a another another option. Uh
27:22
they have some scholarships there as well. Again, still very expensive. Um
27:28
and I think even more so because like even in United States even in the more
27:33
um affordable parts of the United States that you can find a lot of very high
27:38
ranking universities but in uh Canada most universities that you will know by
27:44
name are in places that are very very expensive. So like rent is just a
27:49
nightmare in Canada as well. So yeah, uh right now there there there
27:55
isn't that much if I'm being honest. Uh so there are some scholarships. There
28:01
aren't that many uh scholarships that have currently opened. Um as you can see, Cena scholarship is really good.
28:10
It's this is currently open for application. It's full funding. Um it covers
28:16
$94,000 for four academic years. It covers full tution fees, room, board, and a book allowance for presidential
28:22
scholarship. So, uh these some of these universities do have like different scholarship programs and some of them
28:29
just cover like a cash award or something like that. Some of them cover pretty much everything. So, right,
28:37
Catis. Um this one is interesting. Palachinian State University. It's a merit
28:44
scholarship that covers uh again different kind of scholarships, different scholarships and they pay
28:50
different stuff. Um Aean, can you can can you help me? Do you see any
28:56
questions? Like is there something wrong with my chat? Because people have been coming in and out and there are no new
29:03
questions. I think Yeah, there are no questions, right? I think we have a an
29:09
exceptionally smart audience that they know pretty much everything that they
29:14
don't have anything to ask perhaps uh very content people. William Randolph
29:20
this is also another really really good uh scholarship but it's just for five people. It gives you full tuition uh
29:28
room board accommodation books and additional fees. It covers additional fees. Uh this has this has been open for
29:36
some time right now. Um again so this is for bachelors for masters there there
29:42
aren't that much uh that is new either like some fellowships graduate
29:49
fellowships graduate assistantships uh these are good opportunities graduate assistantships but um they're not really
29:57
guaranteed like you have to go and start studying in a university and then maybe you get the assistantship maybe you
30:04
don't like for example in Butler University if you get the assistantship ship. It is basically kind of like uh
30:10
going there and working at the university being at like employee. Uh it covers
30:17
tuition. Usually this is a partial to full tuition. A living step. Usually living stipens are really good. Uh they
30:24
give you kind of like something like a living wage uh where the university is. But if you don't get the assistantship,
30:31
you will have to pay about $40,000 every year. Although this is for
30:37
masters, so it's about like I guess 8 to 15,000. Planer James Bond. Uh it's great
30:43
to see you here as always. I've got no questions. I just clicked on this video. I hope you're doing good. We're doing
30:48
very well. Thank you very much. We've been out for a couple of weeks. Um but we are back right now. Uh so we are
30:55
doing this every Friday. Uh so it's really good to see you here. I hope you're all also doing well. Um I think
31:03
the last time you came here you were uh like you
31:09
you were going through with an application to university or something like that. You were asking about that.
31:15
What what happened with that? Is everything good?
31:22
[Music] So let's see some full tusion scholarships
31:27
perhaps. uh there there there isn't much uh to talk about for example uh in Asia
31:35
um unfortunately let's say all I cannot say
31:41
uh yeah all funding yeah even for all funding there's much yeah there there is
31:46
nothing in Asia unfortunately you're done with that so it's it's good done or it's bad done is it yeah it's done uh I
31:56
hope it's it's going Well, I think I think it was some something in
32:03
something in France. Am I am I correct? University. I think it was a university
32:09
in France. Uh by the way, you might remember this uh we were trying to get a a location
32:16
category as Europe. We got that. So, is this going to
32:24
there aren't any scholarship? What? Hang on. Wait, wait a second. So, let's see.
32:32
Open for application, Europe. Let's choose.
32:39
So, we have, yeah, three, two in United Kingdom and one in Netherlands for
32:46
masters. So, not that many open for application right now.
32:52
Oh, you have deferred. Okay. I think I think it's for the best. I hope it's for the best. When we do have anything about
32:59
undergraduate university track, I think um I think we've made a video about that
33:06
applying to next through um
33:11
both tracks. I'm not sure. I I don't think it was like a tutorial because you cannot like I usually when I do
33:17
tutorials I try to go through the whole process but of course you cannot do that for next because like it's not it
33:24
doesn't have like an online portal that you can uh have a mock application
33:30
um but we also have like um page for that
33:37
next scholarship page I think you get more information here again uh if you any questions you can
33:43
just leave them here. Uh I think I think Han has a lot a ton of information about
33:49
next. Uh so if you have like very specific questions I think he'll be able to answer them. Aemon will be able to
33:55
answer them probably. So if you have any specific questions I just should um Aean
34:00
do you want to say anything about next in general perhaps?
34:11
Well, next is uh probably the biggest uh
34:17
scholarship awarded in Japan. It's awarded by the Japanese government and
34:23
it's awarded to all degrees. So whether you're a bachelor's, masters, PhD or
34:31
just research student, uh they there's a scholarship for you there.
34:37
Um there are two tracks. So, one of them being the university track, the other one being the embassy track. Uh, so you
34:44
can either uh apply to the mix scholarships through the university you're applying to or through the
34:51
Japanese embassy in your country and both are viable tracks. Um, that being
34:58
said, there are always limited uh seats per country. Mhm.
35:03
Uh, especially at the uh embassy track. So it would have uh a limited number of
35:10
students who can get the scholarship through the embassy. Uh I believe that is the the same case for uh universities
35:18
too. Uh but the other one is more to do with uh your nationality.
35:24
Um yeah, so it's a fully funded scholarship. Uh you get one preparatory
35:30
year of uh Japanese um as far as I know. And uh you get
35:38
everything covered from uh your tuition fees to your uh
35:46
um daily expenses, uh the plane ticket, health insurance.
35:53
So everything is covered by the scholarship.
35:59
Yeah, it's a very generous scholarship. Also, I'm sorry, James Bond. I'm not sure why I thought we had
36:07
some like videos on maxed. Um I think I might have confused it with I think I
36:13
was thinking about uh the tutorial we made for Korean government scholarship. Uh they're kind of similar in terms of
36:20
like uh different tracks and uh the way you apply to them etc etc. Uh so again
36:25
if you have any specific questions uh we like we'll do our best to answer them for you. Um also we have some like some
36:33
more than some stories actually. We have a lot of stories. Um you can ask these
36:39
people as well. Um a lot of them share their like LinkedIn accounts with us. So
36:46
like you can also ask uh them. Um,
36:52
hi. When there's a university interview and written test, which one do they pay
36:58
more attention to or is it hard to tell? Uh, hi there, Senel. Uh, but first, let's look at Zina's question. Can you
37:05
guide me steps to I center got burned everyone? Oh, really?
37:12
I didn't know that. Oh, that that sucks. Uh, can you guide me steps to I need
37:18
including recommendation letters and how can I can make my application as strong as possible? Can you make video? So, we
37:24
have some guides on that. Uh, if I'm being honest, I'm more like into I do
37:30
more stuff like uh scholarships. I don't really know much. We have uh guides
37:35
about those stuff as well. Uh, but again, like it it really kind of it is a
37:41
vague area. So, like if you have any uh spec Oh my god. I was just going to
37:47
defer to Aean and ask what he has to say. Our zoom call just ended. Hang on.
37:53
Let me let me let me fix that and we can ask. Amen. Um
38:01
join. So yeah, it kind of like depends on you and your specific situation. Um,
38:09
I'm not sure like what kind of advice do you need on recommendation letters? Amen. Can you hear me?
38:15
Um, yes. Okay, I can hear you as well. I'm hoping you're also audible in
38:22
the live stream. So, okay. What would you say uh for Zimas? Zimasu asked
38:28
um Oh, there is also Aean. Uh, that's great. Can you guide me the steps I need
38:36
including recommendation letters and how I can make my application as strong as possible? Can you make a video? Of
38:42
course, I'm asking give them advice not to make a video.
38:48
What would you say? Um so for recommendation letters um you
38:55
don't have to do anything except for reach out to teachers who are familiar
39:01
uh with you as a students and as a person and who can vouch for you uh who
39:07
can say good things about you and how you would be a good fit for a specific program just based on their experience
39:13
with you. So that's all you need to do. Uh just approach teachers
39:19
uh you you've had a good relationship with basically and who are actually
39:26
knowledgeable about you as a person and who have at least taught you for a year
39:32
or a couple of years. Um yeah so that's all you can do as far
39:38
as making your application as strong as possible. Uh, as I always say, there are
39:46
so many aspects to a application
39:51
to a scholarship application than just your GPA or just your extracurriculars
39:57
or just um the essays you write for the scholarships. It's uh basically
40:06
the sum of these that actually count. So even if you have
40:13
a high GPA, but if the rest is not as good, uh you're hurting your chances of
40:20
getting the scholarship. So to have a a solid application, a strong application,
40:27
you need to uh focus on every aspect of your
40:34
application. And even if you're if you find that some aspect is weak and you cannot
40:40
change, say like your GPA is low, just focus on making the rest exceptional so
40:46
you can stand out. and that's the best way to approach uh scholarship
40:51
applications. Okay, thank you very much. And Zinas, I
40:57
will look into it. If I uh if I can find something that like I I I see worth
41:05
putting into a video, I will make a video about this because I just I just don't want to be uh just like I just
41:12
don't want to make videos about like with with like vague stuff like words that oh you can you need to work really
41:19
hard or something like that. Uh if I can uh if I can find something that will be
41:24
like worth telling people about, I'm gonna make a video about that. So Sal
41:29
says, "Hi, as when there's a university interview and written test, which one do
41:36
they pay more attention to or is it hard to tell?" Uh that's a that's a general
41:42
very general question. I'm not sure if it is possible to say possible to answer
41:47
that for like every university. Ammon, what do you think?
42:01
Amen. Um, yeah, I I don't know which one I would say they pay more attention to. I guess
42:08
the interview portion is in person and there's a big impression you make uh
42:14
during the day of the interview but the written test would be equally as important because even if you make a
42:21
good impression but your test um is not up to their standards
42:27
uh that impression doesn't mean much. So I would say both are equally important.
42:35
But if you're competent in uh your knowledge
42:41
about whatever subjects you're applying to and you can do well in your written test, you'll just have to focus on uh
42:48
just having that good impression on whoever is in interviewing you and you
42:54
would be 90% of the way there of getting the scholarship or getting into the program you're applying to.
43:03
Okay, thank you very much. Um, guys, if you have like any more like
43:09
detailed questions like about like a specific thing, uh, I think we might be
43:15
able to help you a little better. Um, yeah. Any if you have any other
43:21
questions or we kind of we're going to wrap up in a couple of five minutes, 10
43:28
minutes, but if you have any questions, just shoot them.
43:40
So, did you know about this Damon? Uh, that
43:46
Yeah, James said the Korean data center got burned, so everyone has to reapply.
43:53
Yeah, I really didn't hear about that. That's odd.
44:06
Okay. I don't I don't see. Yeah. The our our viewers today are very very well
44:14
informed people. In fact, maybe we should ask them questions. They are very very content the way they are. Uh there
44:21
are a lot of people who came in and didn't ask questions. Maybe I didn't I don't look like someone who can answer
44:26
their questions. Uh maybe I don't look credible enough. Perhaps maybe when Hani
44:33
comes in it'll be better. Okay guys, if you have if you don't have any other
44:38
questions, we'll end the live stream here, but we'll be back here Friday,
44:43
next Friday at the same probably same time. If if we change the
44:49
hour of the day, I will I'll do an announcement for that. Don't worry. Uh
44:55
other than that, we are here if you have any questions. I think the best way like
45:00
if I had a question and I didn't obviously I didn't work here. I would put my question here in the comment
45:06
section because he only answers every single one or you can come to our live streams and ask or you can leave in our
45:14
comment section in one of our videos. Unfortunately, it's just usually it's just me uh trying to answer the comments
45:22
in the comment section of the videos and I don't really since I'm just layman when it comes to scholarship stuff. Uh
45:28
usually I don't have enough time to like do the research and answer all of them. Uh so please do post scholarship for
45:36
people with low GPA. I already Okay. Okay. Um maybe we can make a video about
45:42
like um yeah if you have high GPA great marks uh like that's the type of thing
45:49
uh you can get like very good scholarships but what if you don't have uh if you have a low GPA what like what
45:55
your what would be your options or your strategy uh might be a good idea like maybe you can look for like what would
46:02
be more realistic scholarships what would be the countries to go with go for
46:08
like that yeah that might Okay, good idea. Thank you very much, Krypto. Okay, other than that, other than that,
46:14
guys, we're going to end the live stream here. Which countries have scholarship applications open right now? You can
46:20
look at that going to global scholarships, hitting enter here.
46:27
And so, we have like scholarship deadline, you can choose currently open. Um if you choose bachelors here usually
46:35
United States I have to say uh right now um there are some scholarships uh I I
46:41
mean if you're looking for full funding of course um if you're looking for all funding you can see them here there are
46:48
other countries as well uh but most of them are United States because that's
46:53
the country that has by far the most scholarships now there I think there are some hang on let me see if there are any
47:00
Asian countries Please, I think not right now. Not really right now.
47:07
Okay. Uh, thank you very much guys for joining in. If you're watching this after the live stream is VOD, thank you
47:13
very much for watching. And Ammon, thank you for joining in answering our questions today.
47:19
Yeah, of course. Thank you for having me. Okay, guys. See you next Friday. Um,
47:25
thank you very much. See you. You're awesome for joining in. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask them
47:31
at any point. See you guys next Friday and have a nice week.
