and I think we should be live now yeah hi everyone it's Global scholarships and
0:08
I'm your host as I hope you're all doing well I hope everything is going great and I hope my microphone is not picking
0:13
up too much of my laptop's noise sorry yeah uh as always
0:20
we are here with another weekly live stream another Friday another live stream and I'm as always here joined by
0:26
Aon hi Aon how are you how are things uh hi as I'm doing well thank you
0:32
how are you how have things been with you I'm doing fine too thank you very much so everyone um if you're new here
0:40
uh we are Global scholarships and we have um we are basically a platform that
0:45
shares information um about studying abroad about scholarships and all that
0:51
like all that stuff so basically we have a YouTube channel we have a Tik Tok account too we also like share some
0:57
videos on Tik Tok and we used to be able to do uh live streams on Tik Tok but I think there is like a problem with the
1:03
studio right now and we cannot do that so now uh mostly like most of our uh
1:09
content is at Global scholarships.com which is our website so basically sorry
1:14
if you go to Global scholarships.com this is the page you're going to face Kuru hi Kuru hello uh uh very welcome I
1:22
hope you are having a nice day so Global scholarships.com this is the page you're going to see this is our homepage and
1:30
to start like from the point zero um everything in our website is just free
1:38
there is no payment there is no like nothing that is paid you don't have to create an account or something you can
1:43
use all all of our tools information AB for absolutely free so basically what we have is we have a lot of guides here uh
1:51
for courses for scholarships for example if maybe you're interested in scholarships by like fully funded
1:57
scholarships maybe like uh popular University scholarships maybe popular government scholarships you can just
2:03
click on any one of these and go and read our guide complet for free and if
2:08
you have any questions about the guide you have read or something else you can
2:14
just leave them leave your questions in comment section that we have at the bottom of every page and hean who is the
2:21
founder of global scholarships he answers every single question like literally every single one of them so
2:27
yeah um we have a lot of guys for example if you're interested in um a
2:33
specific country you can go to our country guides and open the up the country guide for that specific country
2:40
if you want to study in China for example you can just go here and as you can see we have collections of guides
2:46
for everything from like uh like pros and cons of education system to best
2:52
English taught universities in that country the best programs to study in that country how to apply to specific
2:57
universities if there are like specific procedures for that uh country's universities uh documents and tests you
3:04
will need for example some countries have their own uh proficiency test like
3:10
Korea for example they have something called test of proficiency in Korean and if you get that like get high levels uh
3:16
on that uh test you get like um tuition discounts at certain universities so we
3:23
have those language proficiency tests um for example yeah we have hsk for example
3:29
uh in China financing your studies usually we made make videos about these too like if you're interested you can
3:36
just like check our um YouTube channel too scholarship types of Visa blah blah
3:43
blah we have a lot of stuff here also if you scroll down in our website uh first
3:48
of all you'll see um our you can see here that we have a $3,000 external scholarship that is
3:55
given by uh Global scholarships now global scholarships are is not mainly hi there heroy welcome back uh is not
4:03
mainly an institution that gives out scholarships uh we are basically more
4:09
interested in like sharing information uh but we also do have one external scholarship uh that is a worth
4:16
$3,000 so yeah we have Partners so we have scholarship stories this is added
4:22
uh like recently added to our homepage uh we've had this for a long time now so
4:28
basically what it is uh is global scholarships goes out and finds people who have received very popular
4:33
Scholarships in very popular uh countries for example this person let's
4:38
say Paula uh they've received Mex scholarship which is a very popular
4:44
government scholarship in Japan so uh Global scholarships goes out and reach
4:50
those people and have them share their stories like scholarship details their educational background how they prepare
4:56
Etc ET like what advice uh you could get from those people which I think is a great tool because you are getting
5:03
information and advice directly from people who has rece who have received
5:08
those scholarships so uh you can just click here to go all stories or you can
5:13
just uh choose resources here and then scholarship uh stories by country or
5:19
degree right you can filter here for country for degree for
5:25
funding usually a lot of these will be um full funding scholarships the because those are the most uh like popular
5:32
scholarships that scholarships that are uh very sought after uh for example we
5:37
have some newly added people here uh let's say netza uh they're from Panama uh and
5:44
they're studying in University of Southampton and they got a shaving scholarship which is again a very very
5:51
uh popular government scholarship you can also click on the scholarship to go see our page for that so you can read
5:59
their story get get information directly from them so this is a great tool um
6:05
that we don't really um utilize for our content all that much like it is really
6:11
difficult to make videos about these um unless you are doing like an interview
6:16
but yeah these are great tools other than that we have Yeah country guides
6:22
and hang on did I miss yeah another thing that we don't really talk about all that um often we don't talk enough
6:28
about is are admission and scholarship results so basically you can come here
6:34
and click all Admissions and I'm going to actually give you the link for this one right um so this is I mean this is
6:43
pretty much what it says here explored admission results for international students and their profiles at institutions around the world if you
6:50
want to submit your admissions result please use the following form so basically these are like a lot of these
6:56
are universities from United States and these are like basically we have like thousands uh
7:04
of entries here about people who have um apply to universities for example this
7:09
person is from Brazil uh this is their SAT score uh this is the family contribution this is their GPA um this
7:16
is like whether like is if the scholarship is full funding the university and they're accepted so you
7:22
can look into these if you're interested in a specific University let's say Harvard right so these are all the uh
7:30
uh results that we have for example these ones are accepted these ones are rejected I think this is a great tool
7:37
for people to kind of like try and figure out uh whether their um
7:42
admissions would be accepted so yeah not accepting a lot of people Harvard
7:48
obviously um and you'll see some people uh with like lower GPA uh maybe lower
7:55
SATs um from like countries that you wouldn't perhaps you wouldn't expect uh
8:00
or accepted to some of the schools so yeah this a great tool as well uh hang on let me just make sure
8:07
everything's going well the live stream yeah anyway
8:12
so I don't see any questions right now of course this is a
8:18
little not as this is not as Lively as um the live streams that we have on Tik
8:23
Tok but it's more controllable so anyway today we're going to talk about cheap
8:29
you universities some of the cheapest universities in Italy basically again um
8:34
so you can go to guides and we have cheap and free universities all right
8:39
you can view all or maybe if you're interested in cheap universities in Germany um in Amsterdam in Milan um or a
8:48
specific country perhaps I can look at those uh but we also have uh these types
8:56
of guides for example this one
9:01
cheap universities in Italy so we're going to see a couple of these scholarships that are universities that
9:06
are very affordable that are in Italy uh also I've tried to pick some like find a
9:13
couple of uh sources for like living costs um in Italy like for some of these
9:20
universities if I can uh like yeah the universities are cheap but also have
9:26
affordable to go and live there uh Italy is not EX extremely expensive but of
9:31
course like it is like it has some very strong um like tourism which is why some
9:38
places will be very expensive while some other places in Italy will be much much more affordable to live in so uh before
9:46
we start um Aman what would you like to say like start off with uh some like comments on Italy we've spoken about
9:54
Italy uh before we start Arab says something what do you think pursuing what do think pursuing a second bachelor
10:01
degree in computer science is a good idea if a student is sorry unable to get admission to a master's program due to a
10:07
low GPA from their first degrees Yeah that's not something I have a huge
10:13
information on that's a good question um Aman what do you
10:23
think um like doing redoing an entire degree
10:28
wouldn't really be something that I would consider to be
10:34
objectively productive so like I'm assuming uh that
10:40
their like their first degree like first Bachelor Degree was also in computer
10:46
science I'm guessing like because if you're doing a completely different degree different bachelor degree I think
10:52
that might be a complete like a whole other thing but I'm assuming it's like the computer science degree and they're
11:00
talking about doing another bachelor degree in computer science right yes that's that's exactly what
11:08
they're saying I guess um I think many many uh students
11:16
just Resort into taking standardized exams like the JRE for
11:22
example uh the thing is it's not accepted in many countries so it's accepted in the United States and Canada
11:29
but probably not all countries depended on
11:34
the country you want to apply to that's one solution to just work around a low GPA to take a
11:41
standardized exam and then submit your result alongside with your uh GPA just
11:48
explain that uh you have some extenuating circumstances that led to a low GPA at
11:55
some point and uh your stand standardized exams is the true reflection of your
12:03
real level I think that's quite reasonable but doing a degree of three
12:09
four years again um is not really productive in
12:16
terms of time and effort you would put into it so you could have just pursued a master's degree and then did another
12:24
Masters abroad rather than uh redo an entire bachelor's degree
12:31
because you will find that uh you would be close to your 30s
12:38
and you're still uh doing your bachelor's degree your second one so you you would
12:45
probably be uh in a position you don't want to be in yeah which could also kind
12:51
of lower your chances um for like finding some scholarships uh not like of
12:57
course not uh close to 30s perhaps but some scholarships do have um like age limits for certain
13:04
degrees and like if you're maybe you work between those two Bachelor degrees
13:09
Etc so that might be uh but I think like if you are planning to do a bachelor's
13:15
degree on another topic maybe like you've done a top like you done a bachelor's degree in computer science or
13:21
maybe something else and now you're planning to do something else like bachor degree on something else I think
13:27
that's another story but yeah if you're doing like if you're planning to do do the same bachelor's
13:32
degree I guess a standardized test might be a better idea um okay I'm not I'm going to try to not butcher your name n
13:41
Jambo Nina Jambo hi there Welcome to our live stream I hope that's not very far
13:47
away from how you pronounce your name um if you have any questions we are happy to try and help you with your questions
13:54
um just like this one just like the ER the one that Arab asked more uh um
13:59
specific the question the better we can understand it and help you so yeah today
14:05
once again we're going to see some of the uh affordable universities uh we talked about studying in Italy a little
14:13
bit the universities usually have like low tuition fees um but like I'm not I
14:19
don't want to make you uh talk about the same things over and over again um amen
14:25
but like if you could maybe start off the subject uh with a little maybe summary what would you say studying
14:32
Italy like cheap universities in Italy yeah so we have talked in detail
14:38
about this before but we can do a quick recap on studying in
14:44
Italy um Italy is similar to many European countries where public
14:50
universities are quite cheap uh tuition could be as low as 200
14:59
300 EUR um but where also private
15:04
universities can be quite expensive and it's the case for most European countries um so between these European
15:12
countries um there the The Exchange programs are quite popular for
15:18
scholarships like the Erasmus uh University I mean sorry it's
15:23
scholarship which a lot of universities are affiliated with uh if you go to to
15:30
most universities websites or Italian universities websites you'll find that they're
15:36
advertising uh admission through Erasmus and they tell you how to do it they tell you how to apply through the UN through
15:43
the scholarship rather than applying directly to the university and they
15:49
actually have specific sections for the scholarship so they have uh self-funding
15:54
and then through Erasmus and then other kinds of uh admission so it's it has its own
16:01
admission and I probably advise people who want to study in Italy to explore
16:08
that further um other than that um life just depending on which city
16:17
you're in uh yeah living expenses could be uh cheap or slightly more expensive
16:25
depending on the cities some the big the bigger cities are obviously more
16:30
expensive and that's basically the same deal with probably any country in the
16:37
world [Music] um other than that
16:50
um I had a point that I wanted to make but I just lost my TR um I just
16:58
feel to interrupt me if you remember it's fine uh
17:04
yes um oh yeah I wanted to talk about part-time jobs right
17:11
um which are uh quite available in Italy because there's a lot of Tourism so
17:18
you'll find a lot of uh jobs in hotels cafes uh you
17:24
need some level of Mastery of Italian in order to secure such jobs because you'll
17:31
be dealing with local people as well as uh tourists so being well versed in more
17:39
than one language is uh a plus and would make you more hirable uh you just need
17:46
to have a a good level in Italian conversational and then any other
17:51
language would be just a plus uh yeah so that's uh in general
17:59
uh What uh Italy is like in terms of universities and uh life for
18:07
international students yeah okay thank you very much yeah it's pretty much as
18:13
um um as Aman said guys like a lot of there are a lot of universities that are great universities
18:20
by the way a very high like top level universities um on certain subjects that
18:25
are pretty much offering education for free um especially when you compare them to
18:31
like places like United States perhaps like in Europe may maybe places like
18:36
United Kingdom or some Scandinavian countries uh they are very very very affordable in terms of tuition fees um
18:43
again um cost of living can be a little bit High because for example um even like if you want to study in Venice
18:50
right so studying in like staying around the Venice where you can go and still
18:57
study at your school and we're going to see one like we're going to see a school today in Venice koser um so like that
19:05
would be a completely different thing but if you want to stay very close in like in Venice like then your rent will
19:12
or your accommodation cost will just Skyrocket very very fast so yeah uh there are some places that are extremely
19:20
expensive there are some places that are much much more affordable and we're going to see a couple of those universities for example the first one
19:27
again this is hang on let me share the link actually right so this is our guide
19:33
for Italy and cheapest universities in Italy and I just made a video about this one too if you're interested to see
19:40
further uh you can just go and uh watch our video on this topic so we have for example University of Florence now some
19:47
of these universities we have um Pages for I think EU countries there is a language barrier in any EU country we
19:55
have to learn their uh language so that is I believe that is true to some
20:02
um like to some extent I don't think like I'm not sure if it's more than what
20:09
would happen if you went to say China or um Japan um like there will be a lot of
20:16
people who can speak that language for example if you go to go to Germany uh but if you want to um like already the
20:24
whole point of this is trying to study their uh with without needing a lot of
20:30
money uh because like if you have a lot of funds like your family can um kind of
20:36
cover all of your expenses then it's just like it's pretty much it's quite easy to go there and live there anyway
20:43
so like if you are trying to um live there with like limited resources I
20:49
think learning their language will be your best bet because like for example if you want to do a bachelor's degree
20:54
four years is a lot like you will certainly get sick you will certainly
21:00
try to uh uh find medication have to tell your situation
21:06
to a like a medical professional you will live through a couple of Crisis uh
21:12
like it it will be it is very likely that you'll uh live like a couple of
21:18
experiences that are pretty much like straight out nightmare if you don't know their language even if they are like
21:23
there are a lot of people that will speak English with you to like uh make it easier for you to live there yeah I
21:30
think there is a language barrier like where wherever you go so some for some of these
21:37
universities we have Pages uh for example the University of Turin like you can just click on University of Turin
21:43
here or if you want to see what pages that have for universities or scholarships you can just go to Global
21:50
scholarships.com and use our Search tool that I should
21:55
have uh demonstrated earlier in this live stream and so this is our free search tool you can for example
22:01
interested in uh if you're interested in studying in Italy you can just type in Italy click on Italy and this is going
22:07
to show you all the scholarships that we have in our database in Italy for example we have about
22:14
40 uh and these are like at universities like University of peda poly Technic
22:19
University of Milan University of Pisa uh so we have Pages for these scholarships uh basically Global
22:26
scholarships kind of um finds all the scholarships that we can
22:32
from universities that are offered by the university uh for newcomers so for
22:38
example this is let's say University of peda right they have scholarships you
22:43
can just click here and go and see the scholarships but these are only the scholarships that are offered by the
22:49
university for newcoming students there will be other scholarships that are offered by external institutions like
22:57
governments and Etc and there will be a lot of scholarships that are offered by the university to um like um existing
23:04
students like second year third year students as well so yeah for example this one um you can just see their
23:12
information as you can see even these are very affordable like 400400 to a couple of thousand EUR these are very
23:19
affordable uh so the first one is a university that we don't have a page for this is University of
23:25
Florence uh you can click here to go and see the University's page uh but as you
23:31
can see we have the information here like the tuition fee is about 1556 some per semester we can also see the
23:39
university um let me show you also let me check something
23:45
um yeah all right so this is the university in Florence in the middle of
23:50
Florence again like it will be a little expensive if you want to live in the middle of Florence because like uh it's
23:57
a very like it has a very rich history so it has a lot of um tourism and like your
24:07
accommodations like even just your accommodations might be more than what you would have to pay for your entire
24:14
education uh somewhere else in Italy perhaps like somewhere Southern also if
24:19
you do not know there is a uh there is a significant divide between uh southern Italy and Northern Italy uh Northern
24:26
Italy is usually more um effluent and more like richer and of
24:32
course like uh so more expensive anyway this is the University uh University of Florence
24:38
it's about as you can see about €200 per semester um a lot of the times like when
24:45
you are told that tuition fees are like a couple of hundred EUR a couple of hundred dollar a couple of thousand
24:51
dollars keep in mind that there will be other fees as well like application fees uh maybe fees about like using the
24:58
campus utilities and Etc there will be other fees so as you can see this is
25:04
their um page for this so these are uh
25:09
like so we have a stem Duty 16 and then
25:14
140 for regional tax blah blah blah so yeah it's fairly um affordable I
25:20
couldn't find information about like living costs here uh maybe in a future
25:27
live stream I could find that that um so the second University is University of Milan for which we also have a page
25:34
right so pretty much tuition fee is the same like a couple of hundred EUR like
25:40
1556 EUR as you can see it can go a little higher but it will not like
25:46
exceed like €3,000 as well so yeah we have some scholarships here too and I do
25:54
believe um no I don't have living costs here now so you can also click here to
26:01
go and see the scholarships let me share the link with you so we have a couple of scholarships
26:08
uh that like cover tuitions cover like partial funding so this is about like €2,000 this is just one time by the way
26:16
um which will cover like two or three months of your uh living costs probably
26:23
we have doctoral scholarships etc etc we have external scholarship that this is our
26:29
uh like it would be great if we could put like some other external scholarships here perhaps like um
26:35
government scholarships as well but yeah these are the scholarships that you will be able to find again like 100 €200 per semester
26:44
and then we have poly Technic University of Turin for which we do not have a page again
26:50
€61 per semester it's not that high to
26:56
um and actually for this University I do have a living cost estimation so these
27:01
are the tuition fees about like 160 so it's like uh$ 20 $30 per month and then
27:09
we have um the living costs we can see
27:17
here so yeah by the way tin let me show the university uh Turin is another Northern
27:24
City quite close to Milan uh quite so it's here a lot of the universities
27:31
you'll see here are um in in the Northern Italy um I'm not sure why but
27:37
most well-known universities are know universities in Italy are usually on the
27:43
like not like Northern side of the country um so yeah this is the
27:50
University it's kind of a new University you don't like some other universities have like very historic um architecture
27:58
etc etc but no not this so you're you're quite close to FR Switzerland places
28:04
like Gena Milan Etc so like there will be a lot of opportunities to go and see
28:10
those other places um it will be a little uh a
28:15
little bit expensive though like usually your um rental will be about like 400 to
28:24
600 for a single room like €600 is something that you could just live on as
28:30
a student for uh in a country like perhaps Taiwan or China and and then
28:36
average cost for food can be about 200 300 um so Transportation about like 30
28:44
perhaps so it will be and then consider utility expenses electricity blah blah
28:49
blah so let's say these are 100 like it will be about maybe 700 to
28:56
,000 uh living in Ty and studying in poly technico Torino which is a great
29:01
University by the way it's a great like Pol poly Technic University uh you will get a very good education you'll be
29:07
studying in Italy you'll be able to see a lot of places in Italy in Northern
29:12
Italy but it is kind of expensive so like um if you're not very good with
29:19
your finances if you're not very frugal um you'll need something like ,000 to be able to study here and then we have
29:26
univers University of Trin um and it's pretty much the same so here the here's
29:33
the Universe I think this is more like a historical University I believe yeah so this is the this is the
29:40
University of Turin again the same place uh the same city in Italy so this is the
29:47
University and they have like a little picture you can see so it's not
29:54
extremely uh cheap to live in T in uh they have some scholarships like they
30:00
have three scholarships and it's a large University by the way they have like three we have like but like I think most
30:07
of them are for students at risk like this or uh or this or this um we have
30:15
this scholarship this is for uh graduate students like they they give you about
30:21
20,000 Euros so that will cover quite a lot of
30:26
things but yeah again keep in mind it it will cost like ,000 to study
30:32
there other than that we have uh koser University of Venice um it's not like a very
30:39
high uh like high ranking University but it's in Venice so I know that a lot of
30:45
people would be interested in just because the university looks like this so which is why also it is like it will
30:53
be quite expensive to study here uh in terms of living costs even though the University is kind of cheap it's about
30:59
like 1,800 uh Euros a year uh which is like what um like it's it's this is just
31:08
the entire year it will be like €50 per month or something so it is very cheap
31:14
in terms of um tuitions but let's see living cost I think I have something for
31:20
this yeah so living cost or something else uh so this is the living cost that
31:27
they School estimat
31:32
so costs and accommodation you'll see so here's here's what I was talking about
31:38
if you want to live in Mainland Venice it's about like 250 350 but if you want
31:45
to live in historic Center of Venice it's about 350 or 450 um which like and this is like this
31:53
is at best so basically they are telling you to consider a monthly budget of
31:58
€750 I believe this is if you want to live in Mainland Venice too and like
32:05
keep in mind that if you live in a place like this uh that looks like this and
32:13
studying a university basically that has like a
32:18
view of the canal in Venice a lot of things that you will need to buy like
32:24
groceries etc etc they will also be very expensive so yeah tourism is very
32:29
important for Italy but it does make uh it a little expensive to study in then
32:35
we have univers of Camarino it's about €450 per uh year this is tuition fees I
32:42
don't think I have uh information on living cost um other than that the last
32:48
one is the University of Modena and regu Amilia so this is a really good University um tuition fees are about
32:54
like 600 700 that's pretty much it it's not extremely um high but uh so let's see
33:02
the university actually I do have information on living
33:08
costs here so it's not a very uh central place like it's not in Rome or Genoa or
33:14
Milan or something uh but it's quite close to a lot of those places like these all of these like Milan Genoa
33:20
Florence s Marina bolognia Venice these are like one hour 2hour drive away so
33:28
yeah and then we have information on the living costs how much it would cost
33:35
let's see that so this is much much more
33:42
affordable so they're like they're saying uh that they estimate that you'll need about like 700 to8 sorry 7,000 to
33:50
8,000 per year and as you can see like these are much more affordable than
33:55
other places like uh average cost for a private room by the way and it's about €250 per month um this doesn't cover
34:03
your tuitions but again your tuitions will be quite low uh compared to what
34:09
you spend in Italy so it's not like I think it's very much more affordable
34:15
than other places because it's not a very uh Central very crowded uh touristic Hotpot but it is still quite
34:23
close to a lot of those and it's a it's a really good University by the way like education quality
34:28
so yeah um this is the last University that we have for today uh these are some
34:34
of the cheap like uh affordable universities in Italy if you want to see you can find more again you can just
34:41
type in Italy here and go see
34:46
more hang on so for example in University of peda
34:55
they do not have very high tuition fees they do have some great scholarships
35:00
like this one international Excellence scholarship which covers 100% of your
35:06
tuition fees and a statement of €8,000 per Academic Year and then let's see how
35:11
much it costs to study in University of peda so they have an estimation page for
35:18
living costs if it
35:23
opens yeah here it is so um hang on okay so they have some like uh
35:31
accommodation here single room double room as you can see like accommodation
35:37
can get very expensive but also there are some much much afford more more affordable um options they have like
35:44
meals grocery shopping uh Pizzeria Etc and then they estimate that you'll need
35:50
about 850 uh to study in here in ped peda by
35:56
the way univiversity of ped is one of the oldest universities it's a very prestigious University too and this is
36:02
like this is 850 900 years it's kind of close to what you would need to have in
36:09
Germany like a lot of places in Germany as well so they also kind of count in
36:15
like swimming pool gym entertainment like cinema theater
36:20
Etc so yeah there are other universities the University of bolognia for example that are not in this list and hang
36:29
on it should be here yeah here it is I think this is the oldest university in the world and again they have some very
36:36
good scholarships for example benefits and exemptions for kleio Superior uh
36:42
this covers a ton of thing like free accommodation uh Financial contribution
36:47
of like €3,000 living costs exemption from tuition fees etc etc this is for
36:54
bachelor Masters and PhD by the way so it's a very comprehensive scholarship
37:00
and we also have yeah University of bolognia living cost let me
37:07
see let's see what we have
37:13
here so as you can see like they they have like single room in a share
37:18
Department blah blah blah um they do not have a summary so
37:27
let's say say 300 400 maybe 250 from this about
37:32
600 and then with this about 700 you'll have
37:39
still you'll need about 800 to 900 uh to study in bolog any kind of
37:45
scholarship in Germany for bachelor please tell me um I can see
37:51
you you don't you do not need to uh spam your message
37:57
I'm not sure if that's because of your um connection
38:03
so any kind of scholarship in Germany for bachelor now in Germany there are
38:09
not that many scholarships because the education is already free in a lot of
38:15
places in a lot of public universities so you can look at it
38:21
here choose Germany actually let's choose Germany here um most scholarships that you will
38:28
find in Germany in our website will be free tuition um basically these are not
38:34
um as much as like um scholarships they're more like uh just free education
38:42
for example let's say uh University of Technical University of Berlin right uh so this is free
38:48
education you do not have to pay any tuition fees um you pay like hundred EUR
38:55
something uh per semester a semester fee and then your like living costs they do
39:02
not really cover your living costs for example if you choose uh full funding here you'll see there are no
39:08
scholarships that we have in our database again there are other scholarships that you can get in Germany
39:13
from external institutions um or from universities that are given to existing students we
39:21
only have uh University scholarships that are for newcoming students in our database you will not find that many
39:28
full funding scholarships that cover your living costs in Germany because again education is already um like in a
39:36
lot of universities completely free you don't pay any tuition fees one thing you can go for is other than of course
39:43
external scholarships is the daad scholarship which is their um government
39:50
scholarship so this is given by the government government um you can read it read about it through hang on
39:58
right here share it with you so yeah um other than that you will need to pay um some
40:07
like semester fees about a couple of hundred EUR perhaps uh like 1002 200 300
40:14
other than that they like usually if you go to their universities to the University's website
40:21
for example this one right this is uh Technical University of Berlin if you go to their website um they usually give
40:28
you information about how to finance your studies um like for example working
40:34
working as an assistant uh State support we can look at this one too um
40:40
scholarship like their own scholarships like d scholarships um student loans Etc
40:47
and then usually they also give you um information on how much it costs to live
40:53
there too like German universities give you a lot of information through their website before going there like you like
40:59
you will need to you will be able to get a lot of information um just by their
41:05
just from their um website but other than that there are no not that many scholarships that we can uh point out to
41:12
for you um but you can look for them here Aman do you want to add anything
41:18
about this
41:23
question um I think you're answer was quite comprehensive I don't think
41:29
there's much I can add to that okay thank you um by the way like
41:35
usually um the estimated living cost they give is something between um like 700 or, EUR
41:46
depending on the city like in Berlin or Munich or places like that it it will be
41:51
a little closer to a thousand um but like if you get something that gives you
41:57
free accommodation uh maybe you get a job etc etc um yeah then your living cost will
42:05
be much more affordable uh so yeah I was talking
42:12
about this no yeah we're pretty much done with this
42:17
Italy again as as we said there are some very affordable universities um but
42:25
living cost can be a little much so you need to have a plan um also if
42:31
you go to Italy you'll want to uh see places around Italy so yeah I'm not sure
42:38
by the way Aman like could you give me a little information about like why because I do know that southern Italy is
42:46
way more affordable than Northern Italy like usually Northern cities are more uh
42:54
like are they're richer um so like is there actually a phenomenon that like
43:01
Northern universities are usually better because like more most universities that I've heard in Italy they're from
43:08
northern cities um like I don't have a like a
43:18
real answer to that because I just don't know but if I had
43:24
to guess it's probably because of the borders and how they
43:29
influence a country so the north is mostly bordered by Monaco and
43:35
Switzerland which are country that are known to be very very uh
43:43
affluent countries where living is more expensive and I think it's just a trend
43:50
that crosses the the Border whereas for southern Italian un I mean sorry
43:57
universities and cities there's no such influence from the border itself
44:02
so I would if I had to guess but it probably could be the case probably not
44:09
yeah yeah no I I wasn't asking why do you think uh like North is richer and
44:14
South is uh more like uh like more poor perhaps let's say I was asking like I
44:22
have this observation that like most of the universities I see here um that or I
44:27
hear about in Italy are usually in the like the northern section right like do
44:33
um oh do you think that there is like for example in Turkey most like best
44:38
universities like most high quality education you'll see is usually on the
44:44
western side like uh there is an There's an actual divide uh that a lot of people
44:49
know about in Turkey like there are a lot of better universities in uh West and which is why a lot of people try to
44:56
go west uh to to study in uh like of course there are other uh countries with pretty much the same divide I just I was
45:03
just asking like if there is do like is it the same with your observation like
45:08
most very good universities are on the Northern side uh not necessarily because palmo
45:16
and katania have very good universities and they're the further south and they're quite cheap I think yeah if you
45:23
are looking for cheap universities that's the place to go like palmo katania so this side of Italy uh
45:33
probably it's just due to how Italy is shaped as well because it's there's more
45:39
space in the north than there is in the South so you'd find more universities and then by extension more
45:47
there's a chance of more good universities being there um and those
45:53
are the ones we hear about but at the same time I'm I
45:59
think um them being known is not is more about the cities themselves than it is
46:07
about the universities yeah I don't I wouldn't really uh equate
46:14
that to the quality of Education they provide and I I saw a lot of Praise
46:19
sorry yeah oh go ahead please go ahead yeah saying that I saw a lot of praise for southern Italian universities for
46:27
being cheap and for life being cheap in general there like from Rome down mhm
46:33
yeah because I would like to see like I would like to try and find um for example like pretty much all of these
46:39
universities are in uh like North which is why like I would also want to uh see
46:46
like the ones that we have in our database I would like to see how much for example would um cost to study in a
46:54
Southern Italian University like versus Northern ters because like the tuitions
46:59
are not very high uh and which make like which means the bigger concern is the
47:06
living costs so like I guess studying in southern Italy uh should like take down
47:14
like a little decrease those uh living costs so I'm just asking because that's
47:20
the main financial concern you know for example have this one too University of
47:26
Pavia anyway so I'm going to try to find uh
47:31
maybe perhaps for um maybe perhaps for next week's live stream to find some
47:37
good universities in uh southern Italy and try to see how much they cost how
47:43
much uh are the living costs in southern Italy so might be
47:49
interesting anyway I don't see any new questions here uh on YouTube and guys
47:59
yeah that's pretty much it uh usually this is like an Q&A live stream uh we
48:04
also try to like talk about some things that we are uh already like working on
48:11
Etc like the use it as a um you know as
48:16
an opportunity to give you information about anything that we are talking about but if you have any questions uh right
48:22
now just type them in the chat and we'll do our best to answer them for you otherwise we're going to end the live
48:28
stream here and we'll be here again next Friday so
48:34
yeah anyway um Aman if you were going to study in a
48:43
country in Europe for let's say your Bachelor right you're 18 you're going to go to a country in Europe how can we
48:51
Sorry a br says how can we evaluate whether a specific Department in a university is good or not for instance a
48:58
university may have a high overall Qs ranking uh but a particular Department might be might not as be strong compared
49:04
to the same Department in other universities yeah it can be also the same like vice versa like some
49:11
universities are not that great but just one department is insanely good because
49:16
of let's say one uh teacher or like a couple of professors perhaps yeah you're
49:22
completely right um aan do you think like what what would be your answer like
49:28
how can they evaluate if the specific department is good um my probably advice is reach out
49:37
to current students or alumni through Linkedin just go through Linkedin same
49:42
the name of the university and then go through profiles and see people are pursuing the degree
49:49
you're looking for and then just connect with them ask them and I think most of
49:55
these people will reply and tell you to uh what the department is like what the
50:00
quality of education is like and they wouldn't really the lie to you so you I
50:06
would uh get it straight from the source from people who are studying there rather than relying on statistics online
50:13
just reach out to the people right also like if you are asking this for uh like Master's or PhD I think
50:21
at that level of study um Department of qual like quality of department is
50:26
pretty much um directly linked to the quality of professors so like I think at
50:33
that point you would um need to have information on the specific professors
50:39
for example if you want to study uh in a country sorry in University and you look
50:44
at their departments like you should be able to say something about those
50:50
professors like what do I study for example uh when I applied to a university for assistantships uh for
50:58
example I can go and see okay like there are these teachers like these professors
51:04
in this department and some of these are really great doing great jobs and some of these are not so much so like you can
51:11
also uh have an idea through the professors especially if you are doing this again on postgraduate level um how
51:19
can I reach says success education Embassy friends are there any special special
51:25
link or site to to can set virtual appointment with education section in France that's a
51:32
very specific question amen
51:38
um I don't think there's such a thing as the education embassies or the embassy
51:43
is one thing and then there's the Ministry of Education which is something
51:48
else um but I'm not sure for what purposes you're trying to get this virtual
51:55
appointment um if you want to apply to universities
52:01
in France you have to do it through compus fs and they will do the interview
52:07
with you once you're accepted but uh the Ministry of
52:13
Education so as an international student I don't know how you would uh get get in touch with them I
52:21
think just probably look for Ministry of Education go to their website and you probably find some contact information
52:28
it probably could be through phone or email uh you would find the contact
52:34
information then send them an email and um I'm not sure if they will reply
52:41
but uh just try that and I'm I'm not
52:46
sure uh how else you can contact the Ministry of Education without being physically in friends so if you were
52:52
there you probably could just go but online the chances of getting a reply
52:58
are very very low from a governmental body uh it's
53:04
not impossible so you should just look up Ministry of Education France and then
53:11
go on their website find their contact information and try to contact them from
53:16
there okay thank you uh teleport asks what kind of scholarships can I apply
53:23
for now as a 12th year 12 grader grader from India I to do engineering mainly in
53:29
something like csse or AI so we can use our Search tool let me share the link
53:35
for example this is our search result for um scholarships for
53:43
Bachelors uh in engineering for people from India usually scholarships don't
53:49
really care about your nationality some of them are for specific countries
53:54
specific Nations but most of them you can apply from anywhere um subjects now
53:59
some some of these are uh for example some of these uh like the ones that are
54:06
highest like at the highest uh results they are the ones that specifically uh
54:12
mention engineering like these for example like these this is like UC College of Engineering International
54:18
Scholarship at University of Canterbury New Zealand this is for engineering but the others are saying all subjects
54:26
that means all subjects that are offered by that University keep that in mind if that University does not offer
54:32
engineering which university does not uh most universities do uh you can apply to
54:37
that also you can uh choose the scholarship type full funding full tuition partial funding for example if
54:44
you choose full funding there are like 130 scholarships they're not specifically for uh engineering but you
54:51
can't apply to those so you can look at those you can just click on any one of these and see like the um like the
55:00
summary what they cover the deadlines application procedure and go to official
55:06
scholarship page and get the information from the University as well so yeah if you have a specific scholarship in mind
55:12
uh you can also ask us about that too success says what can I do if universities do not accept dualingo
55:19
English test H what do you think
55:24
Amon um yeah yeah if if they don't the only way is to sit for the eyelets the
55:31
Toof for the exams they accept um some universities wave these
55:37
exams if you had your previous education completely in English uh but other than
55:44
that there is no real way around it so if they don't accept dualingo you have to go for other uh language proficiency
55:52
tests yeah there aren't that many um universities that accept your
55:57
English English test I believe but there are some but not like all of them um do you like do you have any
56:04
specific advice you would want to give to teleport um scholarships they're
56:10
looking for scholarships as a 12th grader and believe I believe they're like looking for Bachelors uh from India
56:17
they want to do engineering mainly something like Cc or
56:24
AI um yeah so I think your advice was just as
56:31
good as mine uh if you're lost and you don't know where to start and you don't
56:36
know what country you want to go to uh you don't have much information about uh scholarship opportunities just
56:44
go on our website use our uh Search tool and start from there like see what you
56:50
like see what scholarships are more appealing to you and then um go go from
56:56
there so if you have specific countries in mind or specific scholarships we can
57:03
help you with that if other exams are not available in
57:08
my country says success what um what maybe you can tell
57:13
us what countries you're from yeah I think they are available uh
57:20
they're just not available all the time in most countries uh in countries where people
57:26
think they're not available I think they're available in big cities and they're held in places like hotels some
57:35
some have like their dedicated centers but some don't it just uh it just
57:40
depends on where you live but I believe that they're available in all
57:47
countries Afghanistan oh H that's a tough one yeah
57:53
that is you go ahead I wouldn't want to I wouldn't want to answer that go ahead that's a very difficult
58:00
question
58:10
um I mean I can I can see here that the British Council uh
58:18
offers uh the test in Afghanistan and they have the dates January 31st
58:25
February 7th uh February 12th and kab sorry is it
58:33
K yeah um okay so like success did you uh
58:40
search like look for it in Internet uh maybe like or other exams as well I
58:49
think like maybe a quick Google search might give you answers on uh where you
58:55
could find those I'm not like genuinely sorry go ahead sorry yeah it once I
59:02
looked further it says we can't find any test in this country so maybe she's
59:08
right um they're saying they're also also there a girl so they cannot refer
59:14
to academic centers outside their home yeah in that case I think your best
59:22
bet is to just apply to universities that accept dueling go so don't go for
59:28
those that don't at least then you can take the exam at home and then apply for the universities because
59:36
there's no way you can take the eyelets or tofo uh at
59:41
home okay I search a lot but I Haven find anyone so let's see uh by the way
59:48
there are go yeah so also like not just looking
59:57
for like uh dual English test maybe you can you can search for those two uh but
1:00:04
like there are some universities around the world that are like specifically um
1:00:10
giving scholarships and AIDS to uh people from places like uh maybe like
1:00:15
War zones or people who are uh who can be accepted as refugees um or in need of
1:00:21
help um hang on where was that actually today we were talking about one of those
1:00:28
um I think I clost that one um Aman do you want to say anything about that one
1:00:34
like they're from um like would would do you think they would be um eligible for
1:00:42
some of those scholarships perhaps we can we can um like suggest like recommend some of
1:00:48
the scholarships that they could apply to
1:00:54
um I don't think it applies I'm not sure uh because those are those apply in
1:01:02
cases of displacement rather than anything else
1:01:08
so I'm not sure if uh Sanctuary or Refugee uh scholarships
1:01:15
apply in this case columia univers they have been
1:01:21
accepted at Columbia University but could not afford to attend uh could
1:01:26
because of financial barriers and they do not offer any fully funded scholarship most universities incept dingo do not offer scholarships
1:01:34
[Music] mhm so
1:01:39
um yeah I I would take it that uh they're
1:01:46
applying for a bachelor's degree which means that it's a little
1:01:52
tougher to find scholarships uh that are govern mentally funded those generally
1:01:58
don't require any language proficiency exams uh
1:02:04
or uh at least give you time
1:02:11
um yeah so I think you should look into um need blind universities in the
1:02:20
United States um because those would give you
1:02:25
uh fully funded scholarships just because you were admitted and regardless of your
1:02:31
financial circumstances I think that's uh your best bet or just go
1:02:37
for need aware universities and you might have uh a good chance of being
1:02:44
accepted with a fully funded scholarship but it's not guaranteed okay also erro says uh what
1:02:52
should we do while studying for a master's degree to secure a job after graduate graduation in India most
1:02:57
universities assist students in getting placements in companies um do you have a specific
1:03:05
answer for this aan that seems like my answer is there are never any guarantees
1:03:11
so you can't do anything to guarantee getting a job uh after
1:03:17
graduation um like the degree doesn't mean much anymore especially in fields
1:03:24
like computer science uh nowadays companies are looking for
1:03:31
people who are competent regardless of what degree they hold so it's just I
1:03:36
would say the best thing you can do is just make sure you're competent by the end of
1:03:42
your degree make sure that you actually are a valuable asset or you would be to
1:03:48
any company and you would find a job so even without uh saying that you have a
1:03:55
master ERS if you can prove that you're a competent
1:04:02
individual you would be definitely hire so somewhere some someone will hire
1:04:09
you okay success says since I want connect with education Ministries because from my point of view that is my
1:04:15
last chance um do you think there's a way that they could do that um I don't think that the
1:04:23
Ministries would do much I think you should contact the universities directly
1:04:29
and ask if they have opportunities for uh International students with
1:04:35
mitigating circumstances like yours and they probably would give you good advice on
1:04:43
what to do and what scholarships you can apply for uh that's the best thing so I
1:04:50
think rather than contacting the Ministry of Education contact University
1:04:55
is and also you could yeah sorry go ahead no no that's it that's it also you
1:05:02
could like maybe um try to see if you can uh reach out to some of the
1:05:07
foundations that are um like some external institutions and foundations
1:05:12
that are offering um scholarships to specific people uh from around the world
1:05:18
uh for example like if you want to uh let's say you reach out to a university Connect
1:05:24
contact the University and like get information about the scholarship etc etc you could also ask them like what
1:05:31
kind of Foundations do you think I could uh go and like talk to perhaps So like
1:05:38
um do not I wouldn't I would advise you to not forget about like external uh institutions as well uh because like
1:05:46
they they might like there's a chance that there are more of them and there's a chance that one of them might be able
1:05:52
to help you so yeah um other than that
1:06:00
also yeah you know what um I will try to find something uh that perhaps you can
1:06:06
like apply to or you can uh maybe you're eligible for or uh perhaps like about
1:06:13
tle or uh do all English test anyway um I don't see any
1:06:21
other questions success if you want to add anything perhaps uh you can ask to also like uh
1:06:31
after the school after the uh live stream is done uh we are here every Friday if you have any other questions
1:06:37
you can just come in and ask your questions uh leave them in our comment section
1:06:43
or as always of course you can just go to Global scholarships and leave your questions at the bottom of any page that
1:06:51
we have um yeah um yeah yeah yes like I
1:06:57
wish we can do better uh but like let's let's see if we can find something
1:07:04
