0:23
Aean How are you How are things going with you Uh hi AZ Um doing well thank
0:28
you How are you How have you been I'm doing fine too Thank you very much
0:33
Anyway guys if you're new here we are global scholarships Basically we're a platform that shares a lot of
0:39
informative stuff about scholarship uh scholarships about studying abroad about different countries different
0:44
universities Uh we have a website we have a YouTube channel as you can see Uh hang on let me just check if everything
0:52
is working in order Something seems up I'm not sure
0:57
what uh it looks like Okay So we have a YouTube channel and we have a platform
1:04
uh a website global scholarships.com where we can see it's a completely free website uh where we can find a ton of
1:11
information about scholarships For example here we have our scholarship guides about bachelor scholarships
1:16
masters uh scholarships by country currently open scholarships government scholarships A lot of people are asking
1:23
about like some popular government scholarships like maxed uh like fullbrite for example and then we have
1:29
guides like guides about countries for example you can click on any one of these that you want maybe you want to
1:36
study in let's say Australia you can click here and see our hang on what's
1:41
this and see our nope it's going okay let's try that again um maybe you want
1:49
to study in Italy okay This is how it should look Uh as you can see we have like a huge collection of guides that we
1:56
have uh from like education system in that country higher education uh to
2:02
choosing a university best programs to study uh for like different programs different subjects applying to
2:09
university uh for like complete guide to university application Uh we also make a
2:14
lot of tutorials in uh our YouTube channel So you can check those out too
2:19
like if you're interested in applying to a university abroad Uh some of them have like some countries have different
2:25
procedures like Germany has something different like Japan has something different as well etc language
2:32
proficiency test and of course financing your studies and uh one thing that's
2:37
like most people are interested in scholarship opportunities like currently open scholarships Italy scholarship
2:43
database best scholarships in this country blah blah blah you can look into these anyway this is just one country
2:50
guide by the way uh we have a lot of other stuff as well um like work uh visa tests and documents
2:58
uh we have a newsletter hang on what what can I Okay Yeah we have a
3:03
newsletter You can sign up through here Uh which will for completely for free We'll send you emails about like open
3:10
scholarship opportunities that you can like you can seize right now Uh and a
3:15
lot of tailored scholarships like a lot of tailored information emails are there too For example when I sign up um I get
3:22
scholarships I have like emails about scholarships that are suitable for people from Turkey or like if I have
3:28
some other information uh like that's tailored for that as well So yeah we have a newsletter It's completely free
3:35
Again um there is no registration process or anything like that You can
3:40
just go globalcolarships.com and this is what you'll get We also have a search
3:47
tool It's an incredibly helpful tool that I use all the time for making content on YouTube As you can see uh
3:54
basically you can search for scholarships that are suitable for you We have a huge database about like
4:00
thousands and thousands of scholarships Um basically there are university scholarships that universities offer to
4:07
newcoming international students So uh you can type in anything For example if you want to study in let's say Germany
4:14
right Type in Germany Uh you can click on the country here and it will show you
4:19
scholarships that are in Germany If you're interested in a specific institution you can type in Harvard
4:25
Let's say uh you can click and choose and the university will like our website will take you to that university's page
4:32
Or if you're just looking and have no idea uh what to go for you can just hit
4:38
enter and it will show you all the scholarships that we have have in our database 4,500 scholarships Basically
4:46
again these are just the scholarships that universities offer to newcoming freshman international students There
4:52
are other scholarships uh external scholarships government scholarships where you can find here And so we we
4:59
also have some government scholarships in here by the way Uh but also there are scholarships that universities offer to
5:06
um enrolled students like second year third year students as well Anyway so we have filters here right You can filter
5:13
for degree Uh let's say you are looking for a scholarship that is for a bachelor student You can choose bachelor here You
5:20
can choose locations I'm only interested in scholarships that are in United States That's where I want to study in
5:26
right at this stage U funding type Basically you have three types of funding Partial full tution and full
5:33
funding Okay We have a question already James Bond Hey hi James Uh can you share
5:39
the link of video where you've told about the UK website application process
5:45
Uh deadline is today So please um hang on UK I've told about UK I'm not sure
5:53
what uh tutorial that was in we I don't think we have done a tutorial in uh
5:58
tutorial for UKAS Um hang on let me see something
6:07
I think it was Okay So yeah I think it was in in another tutorial I think it
6:13
was for uh UCL University College London Go check that out Um
6:21
right I think it was that I I think we've done a couple of videos for uh like application tutorials for uh UK
6:29
universities It has to been one of those because I I haven't done a tutorial for that made but I can no I'm pretty sure I
6:36
haven't done a tutorial about UKS Uh so it has to be probably in
6:43
um University College London Yeah like UCL application tutorial Uh go check it
6:49
out If it's not there I'm going to look again All right It has to be in there Like hang on Uh we can find it here
6:57
Right Let's type in University College uh London Okay Click And this is our
7:06
page for this university Yeah Okay Here it is Uh like I think this was the
7:12
tutorial You can or you can just go here to learn about the university If you're interested in this university of course
7:18
maybe you're not Uh and then watch the video like watch the application tutorial directly from this page without
7:24
going to uh YouTube basically So right Basically that's it All right Anyway so
7:31
this is our search tool All right Uh you can use this to find scholarships find
7:37
um yeah scholarships That's that's what it is Uh let's say bachelors and you're
7:43
interested in United States I was explaining what are different types of funding right So partial funding means
7:50
it covers less than just the tuition fees of a university Uh like if a
7:55
university has a tition fees of I don't know like $20,000 per year uh and maybe
8:00
the scholarship just gives you a 50% uh tuition fee discount or it gives you
8:06
like I don't know $10,000 in total That's it Just like one time payment of $10,000 then since it's less than the
8:13
tuition fees it is categorized as partial funding If it's full tuition it cover just the tuition fees and that's
8:20
it Doesn't give you anything else If it's full funding it covers tuition fees and then gives you something a bit more
8:26
Could be a stipent A lot of scholar a lot of full funding scholarships give you um stipens living stipens allowances
8:34
or it could be accommodation Some scholarships are very generous They cover your um insurance as well For
8:41
example today we're going to see Okay great Uh if you have any other questions about UKCAST uh or like what university
8:49
you're planning to apply uh just feel free to ask because I believe that video is like a year old so the procedures
8:57
might have changed a little bit So yeah today we're going to see the scholarship
9:02
of the week which is a full funding scholarship in Hong Kong It's a great scholarship Obviously full funding
9:08
scholarships are uh more competitive and uh there are fewer of those because they're very expensive for the
9:14
university or whichever institution is giving them Let's say full
9:20
funding and scholarship type university government nonprofit organization Let's leave that blank Now subjects and
9:27
nationalities If you're uh if you're looking for let's let's start with nationalities Okay you can choose your
9:33
nationality here but very few of scholarships very few scholarships really care about your nationality There
9:40
are some scholarships um that are just that are targeted at specific
9:45
countries at specific regions or specific nationalities but they are there are very few of those So you can
9:52
just choose um for example there are 70 full funding scholarships for bachelors
9:59
in United States right Let's choose a n nationality and see uh how many of them
10:04
we lose Let's say Turkey two We lost two Uh we have like
10:12
68 of them are just all nations Just doesn't matter Most of them do not care
10:17
about your nationality Now when it comes to subject it's a little trickier If I
10:23
choose a subject let's say um hang on for this I'm going to reset the filter
10:29
right uh let's say I want to study in I want to study biochemistry or astronomy
10:36
let's say let's use biochemistry now what our search does is it first gives
10:41
you scholarships that uh specifically mention biochemistry like these are specifically for biochemistry chemistry
10:48
and pharmacy students uh and when they're well like when it's done with
10:53
those it gives you scholarships that are available for all subjects now all
10:59
subject subjects does not mean every single subject around the world not every single subject under the sun It
11:06
means all subjects that are offered by that university So if biochemistry is offered by University of Queensland you
11:13
can apply to this scholarship That's what it means Okay So yeah uh most scholarships do not really have a
11:20
specific subject either Uh like they are available for every subject that that
11:26
that specific university offers with another question Um university in the
11:31
Netherlands and they are offering fully funded scholarships after getting admitted in their masters program The
11:37
scholarship is fully funded but first year fee is too much to be paid What to do in this case First year fee is
11:44
€18,000 and this is way too much
11:49
€18,000 That's that sounds very high for Netherlands Hang on Uh I think is that
11:56
uh is that University of Amsterdam So let's choose let's choose
12:04
masters here I think I have an idea what that Amsterdam merit
12:11
scholarship Yeah North of I don't think we have that here Do
12:21
we So what kind of is that a is that like a assistantship type of scholarship
12:28
graduate assistantship Uh because if that's like if that's the fact that yeah
12:33
you have to go start studying at that university Is it 20 or is it
12:40
20 Oh yes here it is Okay Okay University of 20 Uh I'm not sure how
12:47
it's pronounced So okay master tuitions are about like 7
12:53
to like 16,000 here might have changed of course Um for masters we
13:02
have h we don't have any full funding scholarships in this university in our database Can you give me a little bit
13:08
more information about the um about the scholarship like specific scholarship that you're talking about Um Aean do you
13:15
have any idea about what this is about
13:22
Um yeah I think they're uh they're right from what I can see on
13:29
their website Uh the beta masters I don't know
13:34
why they have the alpha gamma masters Beta masters I don't know what that is
13:39
exactly but that one is uh €18,900 per year
13:47
uh for international students which is uh quite
13:53
expensive Um as far as scholarships I'm sure that uh they probably offer some
14:00
because uh whoever asked the question said they that they do Mhm But I'm yet to confirm
14:07
that So I'm just looking over their website So we have like six Okay hang on We have
14:14
like five scholarships that are available No four scholarships that are available from this university Hi there
14:22
It's great to see you here again Yeah it's uh it's always great to hear see
14:28
you again Uh if you have any questions just feel free Uh so like we have I see
14:33
four scholarships in this university Um there's one scholarship that is called
14:38
the university 20 scholarship Uh maybe let's check it out But it doesn't appear to be a full funding scholarship It it
14:46
is a partial funding It covers it says stipened worth
14:51
3,22,000 for one year Uh let's let's let's try to see
14:58
We're able to apply for only university scholarship and Netherland till May 1
15:07
Uh okay It says April 30 here All right So this is University of Twin
15:14
Scholarship Uh scholarship value 3,000 to
15:19
22,000 for one year If you applied for a 2-year program make sure you read the information about 2-year study programs
15:25
below Okay so this is the two-year study program information Uh likewise quad Um in case
15:34
of a two-year study program students can receive an additional UTS of an amount equal to that in the first year to cover
15:41
the expenses of the second year However the scholarship will only be continued during second year when students meet
15:47
the process requirements uh for the UTS average grade of 7 out of 10 at least
15:53
50% European credits And then there are additional scholarships uh and yeah application
15:59
deadline is May the 1st here by the way application requirements [Music]
16:05
Um so from what I' what I see
16:10
uh this scholarship is not really full funding is it It's 3,000 to 22,000 for
16:17
one year and normally that
16:23
covers okay we have we also have an over overview of estimated cost of living
16:29
So that might cover uh the tuition fees for one year and in theory if you're
16:36
going for a two-year study program it might also cover uh the tuition for fee
16:42
for the second year But one thing to really uh note here is that the stipent
16:49
is not attached to tuition So like if you're paying about 18,000 euro tuition
16:56
fee it doesn't mean that it will you will get a stipen of around 20,000 or 18,000 uh euro I don't think this is uh
17:03
ammon is this full funding I don't think
17:09
so I mean we've categorized it as partial funding I think that's fitting
17:16
Yeah Yeah It would be considered uh partial funded or fully funded
17:22
Yeah I think that's that's the issue right It's not it's not really
17:27
full funding It doesn't also it covers only tuition No it doesn't cover tuition It it covers your cost of living
17:36
as yet So basically it's like you cover the tuition fee and
17:43
they're giving a tip to cover cost of living Um hang on
17:52
Wait this is what did I click on Okay this is overview of estimated cost of
17:58
living and I don't see anything about cost of living I
18:05
think student handbook maybe that will give you information about the cost of
18:10
living I think probably stipent is would be enough to cover your living costs
18:16
there uh but they they don't say anything about tuition fee like they they do not take in responsibility of
18:23
covering your tuition fees Normally it's not that high in Netherlands but yeah
18:30
20,000 like €18,000 is a lot uh for a master
18:36
students for a master student basically which like if you spec like especially if you don't get the scholarship it will
18:42
be quite expensive to live there too So yeah All right Uh what were we talking
18:50
about Yeah this is our search tool basically Uh Amon uh was there anything else you wanted to add to that Yeah I
18:58
think they said it covers only tuition but it doesn't It it's the opposite Yeah it says that's the exact exact opposite
19:05
It doesn't cover tuition It just covers uh living costs It also does not say we're going to cover like all the living
19:13
costs Anyway so this is our search tool Uh you can look for scholarships that
19:19
are available for you Uh by the way let me show you how our uh like scholarship pages work too Let's just that's what I
19:25
really enjoy like what I really like about our search tool Basically uh you go from like you filter uh for yourself
19:34
You go from 0 idea about what scholarships there are and then let's say this scholarship
19:40
you're interested in right And then you click you get a lot of information Hang
19:46
on This is not a very this is not a Yeah Yeah Yeah It's fine So you can click here and get a lot of information about
19:53
number of recipients admission deadline eligible nationalities eligible subjects
19:59
Uh this shouldn't be currently open by the way March 31 It's passed Um so like
20:05
information about scholarship what scholarship covers you get all that information as well eligibility criteria
20:10
application procedure application process Uh you can leave your questions here about that scholarship and Aean
20:18
sorry Yani who is the founder of global scholarships He answers every single question here and then you can click
20:24
here to go to the universities page for that scholarship So basically it takes
20:30
you our search tool takes you to the from the point zero where you have no idea what scholarship opportunities you
20:37
have to the point where you know the scholarship you know like what it gives you you know everything you need to do
20:43
and you also know where to apply directly for that uh scholarship right
20:49
so that's what I really enjoy about this search tool uh hi there kuruku it's
20:54
great to see you here again um any other options for me I want to come Europe by
21:00
September 2025 Um so we don't have Hang on Do we
21:05
have like scholarships by country but we don't have scholarships by uh like
21:13
Europe by region We don't have that Um so there are other
21:20
uh opportunities What I would do is like if you're looking to find full funding scholarships I would go to our search
21:27
tool and say for example you're looking for masters right choose masters uh
21:33
choose full funding here uh you cannot as location you cannot choose uh Europe
21:39
we don't have that as a location category but you can choose specific countries uh that all we also have to
21:45
choose open right now currently open um or like if you're not yeah you're by
21:51
September 2025 so yeah you can choose like within 12 months 6 months choose
21:58
any one of those two let's say let's say within 6 months right and then choose the country one by one you have to do
22:05
that Um now in Germany there are not that many uh scholarships The education
22:12
is free You don't have to pay tuition fees That's what they offer Uh like you
22:17
don't have to pay a tition You have to pay just a semester fee which is about 300 400 um euros every semester Uh but
22:26
that's why the universities usually don't offer another like scholarship like full funding scholarship that gives
22:32
typent or something Uh so it's just like free education Of course there are um
22:38
like government scholarships DAD was here Why did it disappear Uh so like we
22:44
have for example Germany uh German government scholarship DAD scholarship you can apply to that But universities
22:51
don't usually give uh scholarships One scholarship that you might be interested in I think it's currently open for
22:59
application is I think was P University of Pedro Uh so in University of Pedro in
23:06
Italy as you can see tuition fees are quite affordable compared to other
23:12
countries and we have a scholarship called uh oh no that's not for masters No it is
23:19
for masters It is It also Okay H So some of these like Okay So
23:30
Ammon are you seeing this Like we have four scholarships here uh that are for
23:35
bachelors and masters but they are I guess that's kind of understandable They're just like under
23:42
undergraduate section So for example this is uh Pedua International Excellence Scholarship Uh this is the
23:49
admission uh deadline is May the 2nd I think this is a great scholarship Um as
23:55
you can see it covers 100% of your tuition fees and it gives you a step of 8,000 per academic year So uh as that
24:02
might be something that you can like you're interested in studying in Italy It like tuition fees are really
24:09
affordable if you even if you don't get the scholarship And this scholarship covers your tuition fees about €8,000
24:17
per academic year which should cover your uh tuitions So sorry most of your
24:22
living costs Um in Italy like living costs are not extremely high
24:29
but um rent can be a bit of a problem Um
24:34
because like most of the places you will you would go for education are also kind
24:39
of like touristic places And so rents are kind of high but you can choose like you can choose to rent somewhere that is
24:47
not very central that like that there's a huge difference between choosing in a
24:52
very like in a very touristic and central region and somewhere a little farther from the uh center of the city
24:59
So yeah u this might be a great opportunity for you as yet So I'm going to share the link for this one You can
25:06
see uh we've made a video about this as well University of Pedo is a great university
25:13
by the way Uh it's like one of the oldest universities in the world I think
25:19
Copernicus had studied there So like that's the kind of old I'm talking about
25:24
like 500 800 years old university uh one of the most prestigious universities of
25:31
his time So yeah I think in Europe this is something I can
25:36
[Music] um suggest All right Aean um do you have
25:44
any other specific suggestions for uh studying in Europe Like scholarship
25:51
opportunities These are not very uh what you say very frequent There
25:57
aren't that many scholarships but maybe you have a you have an advice
26:03
Um I mean the fact that they say they want it by September
26:10
2025 is probably not realistic in the first place as most uh scholarships that would
26:18
be offered for the fall semester uh have already closed So Mhm
26:25
uh probably September 2026 would be a more realistic date to aim for and then
26:33
to just uh have all the options available to you
26:39
So you'll have all your uh application materials ready and you
26:45
can apply to multiple scholarships that would open throughout the year So from now until uh the end of
26:53
this year and probably up to March uh that's when all the scholarships
27:00
uh close I think that's the best advice uh I can give them when it comes to just
27:09
maximizing your chances of getting a scholarship because even if you find a
27:14
couple scholarships that are open right now uh the chances are still low because you're applying to a couple
27:21
scholarships Um yeah so I I think that's the best way to go about it As far as
27:28
the scholarships as you mentioned the DA Aad is a great option in Germany Uh the
27:34
Arasmus Mundus is always a great uh scholarship for people who want to study
27:40
in Europe Um there's the Chevin in
27:47
uh the UK if you are not
27:53
strictly going for mainland Europe but just uh the European
27:59
country Um there there is the Italian government
28:04
scholarship as well So uh that's an option The excellence
28:10
Eiffel Yeah So in France there's uh that one for graduate
28:16
students Um and I think for the most part that
28:23
would be it for scholarships in Europe for Oh yeah there's the Swiss one as well Mhm
28:29
Uh but other than those I don't think there are any big scholarships There are
28:36
ones that are offered by universities but most of the time they're just uh partially funded Uh especially in the UK
28:43
you won't really get uh fully funded scholarships in Europe because well
28:49
education is already free Uh and there is a minimum threshold of funds you'd
28:55
need to uh have if you just want to study there without resorting to
29:00
scholarships Yeah it is really difficult to study as a as an international student as a
29:07
foreign student in United States without a scholarship Um because like tuition
29:12
fees really really creates a barrier like 20 like it almost start from starts
29:17
from $30,000 uh which is more like just by tuition itself which is more than what you would
29:25
spend um like studying in any any country in Europe basically like
29:30
including except like let's say uh including tuition fee but not like in
29:36
United Kingdom for example if you want to go to study in Germany study in France study in Italy really uh like
29:43
$30,000 a year which is like pretty much the basic tuition fee in United States
29:48
would be enough to cover your tuitions and then your living costs just by itself and probably it just like there
29:55
would be something a little left uh from that as well Yeah Uh it is really difficult to study in United States
30:02
without a scholarship What you could do also like if you don't do not want to
30:07
wait a year is you can do your masters in your own country and then wait like
30:14
then after two years of masters is done you can apply for a PhD scholarship you
30:20
would have more time to u prepare and like also I would say I guess like there
30:26
are uh PhD students have more um opportunities for scholarships ammon
30:33
would to say that's true like compared to master students
30:39
Uh I'm sorry what what was the last part uh would you say like PhD students uh or
30:45
master students which one do you think has like have more um scholarship opportunities in general especially in
30:52
Europe let's say uh in general I would say PhD students of course
30:58
uh yeah that that is evidence but at the same time it all depends on
31:06
uh the student themselves and their academic achievement so it's it's uh
31:12
really the standards are really high when it comes to giving awards There are a lot of awards There are a lot of PhD
31:19
programs that are fully funded Uh but the awards are given to students who
31:25
show a lot of promise that have um really shown that they are competent
31:32
in whatever field they have pursued through throughout their university
31:38
journey So uh I would say that the chances of getting a master scholarships
31:44
are higher but there are way more uh scholarships for PhD students than
31:50
there are for master students Yeah Okay Thanks Uh guys if you have any
31:56
other questions just uh leave them in the chat and we'll do our best to answer them for you So other than that other
32:02
than like all of our all of the things that shown uh we have something a couple of more things up our sleeves For
32:08
example we have an external scholarship $3,000 scholarship uh that is given by
32:13
globals.com This is an external scholarship that is given by our platform You can click here to learn
32:19
about the scholarship the requirements what it gives you and like
32:25
um how to apply basically So this is the link for that scholarship Other than that we have
32:32
scholarship stories This is a very unique feature I believe that we have and it's a great it is a great source of
32:40
uh inspiration insight I do believe So basically these are stories of people who have earned scholarships earned very
32:48
popular scholarships all around the world Um for example all of these people are for example uh here's a recipient of
32:55
chancellor scholarship here is a recipient of max scholarship fullbride
33:00
Uh you can click on any one of these people or you can go to all stories here
33:06
and for example if you're interested in next let's say uh hang on you know what
33:11
let's let's look for Germany right since we're talking about Germany so these are
33:16
the people who have earned scholarships in Germany basically as you can see we have
33:22
like seven people here and you can click on any one of those people and learn about their journey learn about their uh
33:29
like the university degree um previous education test scores their educational
33:35
background how did they prepare what advice would it give would they give what would they have done differently if
33:42
they if they're preparing again for that scholarship uh and etc So like these are
33:47
the most real uh like directly from the source information you could get about any
33:54
specific scholarship right So this is masters in nutrition Uh so hang
34:05
on Yeah Wait the scholarship information So for example uh here is
34:12
someone have earned a DAD scholarship which is the most uh popular scholarship
34:18
here University of Bone masters in neurosciences at like ILTS score their
34:24
GPA they're from Ukraine and yeah you get you can get all the information Uh
34:30
this is really important What advice would you give those looking to apply Basically most of them are saying like
34:37
uh how like they emphasize how important it is to learn the language before uh you go But yeah this is the most real
34:44
insight you could get about scholarships And then we have uh admission
34:49
results Basically these are a bunch of results like thousands of results that
34:55
we've gathered about application result Yeah applications So basically these are
35:01
the universities and every single one of these is an application uh with the status with the results So for example
35:08
this one is a person are from India uh with this SAT with this expected family
35:14
contribution GPA and with with or without scholarship and they were accepted into Georgia Institute of
35:20
Technology We have this mainly for uh universities in United States So if you
35:26
are interested in studying in Harvard let's say but you're not sure if you would be
35:31
accepted you can choose Harvard here and these are all the results As you can see
35:37
there are a lot of rejected uh so for example also you can like you can sort
35:43
these for example let's choose the lowest GPA okay here's a person
35:49
uh let's say yeah GPA for example GPA 3 rejected 3.3 rejected 3.36 rejected 3.7
35:57
rejected 3.7 accepted right one person from
36:03
Italy and then 3.8 8 3 sorry 3.8 3.8 3.8
36:09
they're all rejected and you will see a lot of 4.0's rejected but then 3.7s accepted So yeah
36:17
there are a lot of things different things that uh universities consider when deciding to admit you or
36:25
not And then we have study abroad guides Basically these are the country guides that I've shown you Anyway so these are
36:32
our tools that we have a lot of information a lot of uh very helpful guides here Uh other than that if you have any
36:39
questions again just feel free to ask them Other than that today we're going to see the scholarship of the week Uh
36:47
we're going to see the let me show you It's a great scholarship in Hong Kong
36:53
Foundation scholarship for president scholars at University of Hong Kong 2025
36:59
As you can see admission deadline is uh August 22 So this is currently open This is for bachelors Uh it's in University
37:06
of Hong Kong the best university in Hong Kong And it's like I believe it's 35th
37:12
in the global university rankings This is full funding Uh no specific
37:17
nationalities no specific subjects Everyone is like everyone's eligible basically Um by the way again
37:25
all subjects means in this context the all subjects that the university offers So like if you're if you want to study a
37:32
specific subject that in this that in is not in this university you cannot apply for this obviously So again uh it covers
37:40
100% of tition fees It covers accommodation fees It covers a living statement and an enrichment scholarship
37:48
So first let's see a little bit more about the university As I said this university is the top university in Hong
37:54
Kong Uh it's like 35 uh in 35th place uh
38:00
in world about 36,000 students Uh also this is a great university and I think
38:06
like almost half of this university student population is international So like there are a lot of international
38:12
but of course you know uh being Hong Kong uh the definition of international
38:18
is a little can be a little odd uh with this university because you know like the country is very tiny So uh their
38:26
definition of international can be quite uh difficult quite different than what we understand as international It has
38:32
seven scholarships We have all the information here like admission I can click on any
38:38
one of these We have a couple of as you can see uh admission results uh two
38:44
people from Russia one person from Kazakhstan all with SATs 1510 and like
38:50
GPA uh blah blah blah You can see these and accepted We have a application tutorial if you want to apply this
38:57
university And by the way you just apply to the university and that's it Like uh
39:02
this is not just a tutorial for applying to the university but also a tutorial for applying to the scholarship when you
39:08
apply to the university they'll automatically consider you uh for the scholarship as well Where the deadlines
39:15
here Uh we have tuition fees Tuition fees is about like
39:21
$180,000 dollars but Hong Kong dollars which means it's about uh
39:27
2325,000 US So it is expensive but not extremely incredibly expensive So yeah
39:34
we have as you can see these are the scholarships that we have We have a like one full tution one full funding one
39:41
full tuition one more There are a lot of full tuition and full funding scholarships in this university Uh one
39:47
Hong Kong PhD fellowship scheme These are external scholarships Uh let's see what the
39:54
university looks like where it is
39:59
Um here All right If you want to study in in Hong Kong
40:06
this is the best option you could get So yeah this is where the university is
40:12
Again tiny country Hong Kong just like city city state basically And this is
40:17
what the university looks like So yeah this is the
40:25
university and the scholarship Again it covers 100% of your tuition fees which is about
40:31
$25,000 um accommodation they give you like dormatory fees um and a living
40:37
stipent we we don't really know how much but I guess like it would be something
40:42
that would cover your living expenses at least close to that and an enrichment
40:48
scholarship and you might be asking how much will I be spending there uh is Hong
40:53
Kong it's quite expensive so we have information about tuition fees and living expenses here in this page so
41:00
basically the cost of living they kind of estimate is here like if you're living
41:07
in the residential halls on colleges or of campus housing or or living expenses
41:13
So like all of this come to at most like$100,000 Hong Kong dollars So which
41:21
is about about like $12,000 So it' be at
41:27
least a thousand US dollars every month Uh which is expensive but not not too
41:34
expensive compared to compared to places like United States or uh Europe And in
41:40
turn you'll be studying at a very very good university So um we have the like
41:47
eligibility criteria here just incoming international students with outstanding grades application procedure Again no
41:55
separate application Just apply to the university you're accepted That's it We're done And we had a deadline here We
42:04
have a video about this Again if you have any questions about any scholarships about any universities just
42:11
leave them in our comment section in globals.com He only answers every single
42:17
question I'm not sure how he finds the time Uh but yeah he answers all of them You can click here to go to the
42:24
university page We're looking for fully funded bachelors That's literally what we are looking at right now This is a
42:30
fully funded scholarship for bachelors in Hong Kong It covers tuition fees It covers uh living stipens It covers
42:37
accommodation Accommodation is not really all that often covered even by very generous full funding
42:44
scholarships Not to mention in Hong Kong which is a very famously expensive place
42:49
in terms of rent Um so your rent might be about
42:57
like it yeah your rent would be about like $500 $600 by their estimation So it
43:05
can be really expensive and this covers everything basically So you there are
43:10
also other scholarships uh as well in this university of Hong Kong Uh you can
43:16
see them here They have a they have an odd way of uh showing they're showcasing
43:22
their scholarships So basically you go to this page scholarship page and then you choose whether you're local or not
43:28
Is there an application fee to it Um well you do not apply to the univers to
43:35
the scholarship you apply to the university and I think there's a there's
43:41
an application fee for this university I'm not sure how Uh you can see that by
43:47
checking out our application tutorial video here Um that's how much it costs
43:54
to apply to this university But after you apply to the university uh that's it You don't also separately apply to the
44:02
scholarship Uh let's choose international qualifications here and then let's choose any one of these right
44:08
faculty of engineering let's say So it's here as you can see we have like 13
44:13
scholarships that are for um international students with international uh qualifications in
44:21
faculty of engineering Uh these are all that and this is the one we're talking about HKU foundation scholarship for
44:28
president scholars It doesn't give you specific information about how much it
44:34
gives you up to full tuition fees plus accommodation and living allowances and an enrichment scholarship So yeah that's
44:40
basically it Um okay we're going to come back to that question
44:46
Sai but um okay so this is this is it for the scholarship Aean uh what would
44:52
you like to say about this specific scholarship It is a very uh generous scholarship Um in Hong Kong we don't
45:00
usually have like we don't usually talk about studying in Hong Kong So if you have any um anything to say about
45:06
studying in Hong Kong as well Um like what would you say
45:12
Um yes Or the university obviously Uh yeah Yeah of course Uh so Hong Kong
45:19
is uh one of those countries that are a little under that just go under the
45:24
radar for many international students Uh even those who want to study in Asia
45:31
most of them just choose Japan or South Korea um and to a lesser extent China but they
45:40
don't really aim to go for Hong Kong um when it's a really great country uh when
45:48
it comes to education in general and I think this university the University of
45:53
Hong Kong being uh quite high in ranking is a testament
45:59
to that Um yeah so in general this uh
46:05
scholarship is quite generous and very straightforward There is no additional
46:12
application needed You just need to be accepted uh by the university in order
46:18
to get this scholarship It's fully funded I'm not sure what an enrichment
46:24
scholarship is I think there's something that is lost in translation there Uh but
46:31
for the most part uh it covers full tuition it covers
46:37
uh your living expenses accommodation so it's just the full package Um of course
46:45
it's only for uh bachelor students but there are other scholarships that are for graduate students
46:52
um if anyone wants to study uh in Hong Kong So overall I don't think there is
47:01
much to this scholarship other than it being a great opportunity So there is no
47:06
catch Uh it's it's just a good scholarship in general The deadline for
47:13
to apply to the university is still far away It's in August So for anyone who
47:20
uh wants to study in Asia and Hong Kong in particular this is a good university
47:26
to apply to Um and the fact that most of these universities just go under the
47:32
radar gives you higher chances of getting admitted higher chances of getting scholarships So I don't know
47:39
maybe if you're hearing about about it here you you probably could be admitted
47:45
and get the scholarship So I would say go for it Yeah I mean it is it really go
47:50
does go under the radar Like I don't think we have ever been asked in any one of our live streams or maybe even like
47:58
YouTube comment section about studying in Hong Kong about scholarships in Hong Kong It is an expensive place That is a
48:05
given like like yeah I admit that Not like for example the scholarships
48:12
um this university scholarships are almost all of them are like full tuition full funding full tuition full funding
48:18
and also like in terms of cost of living and in terms of u tuition it's not
48:24
really that much more expensive than a studying in the United States and
48:30
usually United States universities do not really have this many scholarships like full funding full tuition
48:36
scholarships to give And so yeah it's also a very good university high ranking
48:42
university So but by the way this is like this is a complete tutorial like step-by-step tutorial on how to apply to
48:48
this university which also again includes the scholarship and it's just
48:54
about 13 minutes So like yeah it can't be that difficult or can't be that
48:59
detailed So yeah this was the scholarship of the week Uh I think I do believe that this is like for example
49:07
our tutorial on applica like application tutorial got like about 600 like 700 um
49:15
views Um hi there madam welcome Uh so yeah it's it's a very kind of like a
49:21
hidden gem in my opinion Anyway so Sad Bay Khan says "Sir please tell me
49:28
bachelor's fully funded scholarships in USA Canada and UK will do But you can
49:36
also find them yourself by going to global scholarships.com We have a free
49:41
search tool right You can hit enter Sorry hit enter here And then by degree
49:48
you can choose bachelor Uh you can choose funding type here Full funding
49:54
for everyone who doesn't know full funding means it covers the tuition fees of that university and then it gives you
50:00
something a little bit more more than that uh you can choose United States here
50:05
right so these for example 70 uh fully funded scholarships in United States for
50:13
bachelors you can click on any one of these that you're interested in and you
50:19
can get information like what level of study host what it covers for example
50:24
this one covers institutional costs instate I'm not sure what that mean yeah
50:29
tuition fees board for Okay So this this is one of those scholarships that have different levels So like tuition fees
50:37
annual stipent annual stipent and then you can leave your questions here or
50:43
click here to go and see the university's page for that scholarship This is an odd scholarship page but yeah
50:52
you can see that Uh so I'm going to share the link with you You can do pretty much the same thing sad uh for
50:59
other countries For example let's go and say United Kingdom Oh sorry about that
51:06
noise Um a lot of these are like when it comes to United Kingdom a lot of full funding
51:13
scholarships are like asyl asylum seekers sanctuary awards
51:18
Um this is for example UCL global undergraduate scholarship Uh this is
51:24
this is past deadline It covers tuition fees living stipent fixed allowance for
51:29
additional cost So yeah you can see the coverage here
51:36
eligibility criteria here And for some of these we have videos as
51:41
well Most importantly you can just leave your questions here and you can see and
51:46
they're all every single one of them are answered
51:51
Anyway but if you're looking for a scholarship that uh is that is right now
51:58
open for application uh you can choose deadline currently open Okay there are
52:04
just two of these here and they're both sanctuary awards Basically uh sanctu sanctuary awards and asylum seeker
52:11
scholarships are for people well it kind of it is literally in the name as people
52:17
who are seeking asylum uh maybe you are from a war zone uh or affected by a
52:24
natural disaster or something Uh so yeah uh United
52:29
States uh we have I believe more we have just one right now that is open for
52:35
application international freshman automatic merit scholarships in University of Alabama
52:43
This this is only full tuition though sorry full funding uh if you get the
52:48
presidential elite scholar scholarship so and then let's look at
52:58
Canada now there are not there are no scholarships uh full funding for
53:04
bachelors that are open right now there are some that is not open like four
53:09
scholarships uh for example Lester B Pearson this is one of the most popular
53:15
scholarships in Canada It is a very comprehensive very generous scholarship Um it covers full tuition books and
53:21
materials and accommodation There are a lot of scholarships in Canada Not that many of
53:29
them are full of funding So yeah Yeah it's not as it's not the attractive
53:36
um destination for international students uh it once was
53:41
Anyway I don't see any other questions right now and this
53:47
is a Q&A live stream So if you have any questions just leave them like type them
53:53
in the chat and we'll do our best to answer them Otherwise we're going to end the live stream here Um Aan do you have
53:59
any concluding remarks or maybe something that you want to say about in general studying abroad like what is the
54:07
landscape let's say right now in general studying abroad or scholarships etc etc
54:16
um I think just based on a question from earlier for people who are aiming to get
54:23
scholarships um the best thing is to start really early um and at best it's a year in in
54:34
advance I don't think there are many uh success stories about people who
54:40
started two three months before getting a scholarships Although there are people who have but it's quite unheard of Uh
54:48
preparation is the most important thing when it comes to uh going for
54:54
scholarships Um so as far as the landscape I don't think
55:00
uh nothing much changed in most countries Uh but I mean compared to say last year
55:11
um except for probably the US where there are stricture rules right now when
55:17
it comes to admitting students and I've seen an article about a vetting process
55:23
that goes as far as going through uh the applicant social media
55:30
uh and see their political stances in general So that is an
55:37
actual thing that is being implemented right now if you want to study in the US
55:42
Uh and so so just given that many students were also asked to leave the US
55:51
Um who are actually studying so I think the landscape has changed there
55:58
drastically uh but other than that I don't think uh there are many
56:05
uh big changes uh in other countries I think scholarships are still being
56:10
awarded International students are still being considered for scholarships regard
56:16
regardless of their nationality Uh and it's for the most part a positive thing
56:23
So for for all the available scholarships I encourage students to
56:28
just go for them to apply uh to start early and to have strong applications in
56:36
general in terms of uh their
56:42
uh letters of intent or in terms of recommendation letters
56:47
I urge everyone to just get those early to start working on those early to get
56:53
feedback and that's the key to getting scholarships All right Uh thanks a lot Aean Anyone
57:01
Those were our concluding remarks Um if you do not have any questions any other
57:07
questions we're going to end the live stream here Uh thank you very much for joining in Um and if you're watching
57:12
this on a VOD after the live stream thank you for watching and we're here every Friday except the fact that um
57:20
starting from next week we're going to be a couple of hours early like two or three hours early I'm going to do the
57:26
announcements on Monday Uh don't worry Uh but yeah we're here every Friday If
57:31
you have any questions um any questions about studying abroad about scholarships
57:37
or about your specific situation uh in any one of the these uh you can just come here and ask your questions Other
57:44
than that we have a YouTube channel we have a platform again globalscolarships.com and if you have
57:51
like if you are interested in studying abroad if you're interested in having like earning scholarships etc etc we
57:57
have a ton of information free and available readily available here without any accounts or something Anyway uh
58:05
check it out and um thank you Aman for joining me here today
58:10
Yeah thank you so much for having me Yes Right Uh okay everyone see you next week
58:16
and take care Bye
