and I think now we
0:05
are yep we are live on YouTube Uh hi everyone it's global scholarships and I'm your host as I hope you're all doing
0:12
well I hope everything is going great and today we are here uh with another weekly live stream and I'm as always
0:19
here joined by Aean Aean hi How are you How are things going Um hi AZ Uh I'm doing well thank you How
0:27
are you How have you been I'm doing fine Thank you very much Um so everyone if
0:33
you're new here hang on Um yeah if you're new here uh we are
0:38
global scholarships We are here every uh every Friday We do live streams We have
0:44
a YouTube channel We have a Tik Tok account Uh on both sides we always share a lot of informative stuff about
0:50
studying abroad about scholarship opportunities uh for international students etc etc Um we also have live
0:57
streams uh on both YouTube and Tik Tok You can come ask your questions and etc
1:03
So um as you can see we also have a website global scholarships.com
1:08
uh and in our like you can use our website to get a lot of information about studying abroad uh for different
1:15
topics Uh hang on let me actually show you like this Oh right So uh if you go
1:24
to globalcolarships.com right now uh first you'll see our um search tool you
1:30
can type in anything here uh to search for scholarships For example if you want to study in Germany you can just type in
1:37
Germany and choose the country Uh please how do I get scholarships without SAT
1:43
Ask Nana Um and Shakot Shakot I believe Haido asked
1:50
I want to study in Italy is a good idea or no Um I don't know we have made a video on
1:58
on our live stream uh like we talked about this in our prior live streams You can see those that might be a good idea
2:06
But in general uh studying in Italy can be a very good idea because um tuition
2:11
fees are very um affordable very low Uh we have some very high quality education
2:17
institutions um in Italy and in general uh also like
2:23
living costs are not extremely high um like they are more affordable than what
2:28
you would see maybe in Germany maybe in United Kingdom or places like uh United
2:35
States Australia etc etc So yeah it might be a good idea Um Aean do you want to add anything about this one
2:45
Um no I think you summed it up pretty much and I think the the the best
2:52
resource was our live stream where we dedicated the entire live stream to studying in Italy Yeah And I think we
2:59
discuss a lot of the nuances that come
3:04
into studying Italy what you should do what you shouldn't do
3:10
uh the cost of living the cost of studying etc So that's a good place to start and then
3:17
we covered a lot of scholarships that offered by the government or universities themselves Yeah Uh so yeah
3:23
you can just go back to that and you'll find everything you're looking for Yeah that's a good source of information Also
3:29
if you're looking for scholar scholarships uh you can just go to globalcolarships.com type in Italy and
3:36
we have some like not that many scholarships but the ones that you will find are either very comprehensive very
3:43
generous scholarships or even the ones that are not extremely generous Hang on
3:48
actually let me share the link with you uh even like the partial scholarships are very very good because
3:56
like the tuition fees and living costs are already not that high So even like a,000 uh euro like 500 euro every month
4:05
scholarship will uh get you very very far ahead um of your expenses So yeah
4:11
that might if you have any other specific questions uh we'll be happy to try and help you And so Aean how about
4:19
this other question please How do I get scholarships without SAT What do you think
4:28
Um there are probably every scholarship is now
4:34
um does not require the SAT Uh most universities are test
4:40
optional which means that they don't even take SAT into consideration unless
4:45
you want want them to And generally students who want the SAT to be considered are those who have low GPA
4:52
for example or just had some unfortunate circumstances during their academic
5:00
uh journey Um so they would have a low GPA but it doesn't really reflect their
5:07
real level So they take the SAT or any other standardized exam the ACT
5:14
uh GRE for uh graduate students and they ask the university to consider their
5:20
application for the university or the the scholarship based on their SAT score
5:26
rather than uh their actual GPA And they can explain why Uh but for the most part
5:32
you don't really need the SAT uh for any scholarships There are for sure uh
5:37
automatic scholarships that are awarded on the basis of your SAT scores but
5:43
those are um dedicated to that So you get a scholarship based on your
5:50
standardized test scores uh your language proficiency scores or your GPA
5:57
or a combination of all three Uh and those are called automatic scholarships
6:02
They are awarded without you having to apply for them and they're most commonly
6:09
found in the United States Um but as a general rule you don't really need the
6:17
SAT Okay Um thank you very much Jelly I'm not I think you're talking about um
6:24
Aean Um regardless thank you very much Hi
6:29
Dota Uh it's always very nice to see you here Uh thank you very much for joining us once again for our live stream Uh are
6:37
you aware of Turkey Turkey government scholarships Is it currently open What are the requirements Okay So first let's
6:43
start uh with we're going to get get to every each one of your questions but I think the first uh one was Khmed any
6:53
idea you can share on Chinese government scholarships uh scholarship and I and can I get a scholarship for MBBS So I've
7:00
shared the link with you for our guide on Chinese government scholarships and
7:06
um do do you like do you want to share any insights about this one Um I don't
7:13
really know much to be honest Um sorry
7:21
Um about the Chinese government scholarship
7:26
Um I think we have a few uh recipient
7:31
stories about that uh if I'm not mistaken Uh
7:38
so this is where I would start I would start with people who have already
7:44
gotten the scholarships They have been through the process Um they they
7:51
actually got the scholarship So they would have the best advice for you They would tell you the things they did in
7:58
order to achieve that and some of them even share what made their or in their
8:04
opinions what made their scholarship stand out So I would start with that and
8:10
then I think most of the eligibility criteria would be available on their website or on our uh own dedicated page
8:19
on global scholarships Right So this is uh like they are we
8:24
have one uh recipients right now for this scholarship
8:31
Um yeah so you can look into this and they gave a very detailed account of
8:36
what they're what they've done Uh so basically you go to globalcolarships.com resources scholarship stories by country
8:45
country filtered for China and then we have four people here and one of them
8:51
here uh is a recipient of Chinese government scholarships So you can also
8:56
look at this look into this to see like whether they are um like available for
9:02
your program uh like bachelor's and hang on what what
9:09
happened So wait why is
9:16
my you cannot see the um screen can you
9:21
No you cannot This is odd Let me
9:29
see Okay hang on Yep And now it should be
9:35
fixed Here it is So um no Aean is here
9:41
Don't worry about that Um he is here ready to help us uh with any of your questions
9:49
So yeah you can look into these Um if you still have more questions well we
9:54
are here every Friday and also you can just uh leave your question here Hani answers pretty much every single
10:00
question uh that is left here So quite before we come to your question Hydro um
10:06
followed up with saying last year I tried to study in Korea but I failed and now I want to study in Europe European
10:13
countries for most traveling and studying So yeah studying in Korea can
10:19
be a little difficult Um like even though tution fees are not extremely high uh language can be uh really pickle
10:28
also like it will be depending on where you study it can be very expensive too
10:34
Um so like if you have any specific things that you are interested in or maybe something that you have difficulty
10:41
in Korea and you are kind of like concerned that like will I have the same
10:47
problem in Italy Maybe we can help you uh better with that like the more
10:52
specific the questions are the better we can help you Quata says are you Yeah Yeah Yeah Turkey
10:58
government Turkey government scholarships isn't is it currently open What are the requirements So pretty much the same You can go to global
11:05
scholarships So yeah we know actually we I think we've made a video about that one Hang on Let me see Scholarships
11:12
popular government scholarships and um yeah here it is
11:18
Turkey Turkey scholarships So the application hang on actually let me
11:24
share the link with you so you can also look for yourself Um can I transfer from China to
11:31
Europe Um I don't think there is a specific
11:36
um thing that prevents that transferring from China to Europe USA or Australia
11:42
Aemon uh is there like a specific thing that prevents people from transferring from China to Europe USA or Australia
11:53
Not that I know of I think there are no restrictions in their regard
11:59
Um there there are some some countries that don't really acknowledge your
12:05
previous degrees or for example if you're at your second degree right now in China then you would have to start
12:11
over But for the most part there is no restriction as far as just transferring
12:19
So if you want to uh transfer and be uh at your same
12:25
year so if you're a second year transfer as a second year student in your in Europe or USA or Australia
12:33
uh there are probably no no restrictions You can double check with the university Um but you should be fine for the most
12:40
part As long as you can afford it uh you would be easily be I mean afford it and
12:50
you need to also uh have the grades or the academic
12:56
records that would support you going to that university You need to prove that you are able to attend that university
13:02
or just meet their requirements and you should be good to go So I don't know of
13:08
any restrictions uh that would prevent you from doing that I think the only country that I
13:14
heard did this was South Korea but I have never seen any issues with European
13:20
universities American ones or Australian ones Okay thank you very much So um KMA
13:26
this is the link for Turkey scholarships Um I I'm pretty sure uh here it says the
13:32
application deadline the application starts January 10 So it didn't even start yet Uh so you still have time We
13:40
have made a video about that Um so you can look at this and if you still have
13:46
any questions you can leave your comments here or you can just like come and ask to uh ask in our live stream So
13:54
also like if you have any questions specifically about Turkish scholarships about like maybe uh like insurance
14:00
accommodation about uh like the procedure legal procedures um and you
14:06
want to get more information I might be able to help you uh with more specifics uh since you know I'm from Turkey and
14:12
like not a lot of information are readily available Um so email or what
14:19
Now we um so basically this is like this is kind of the best way to reach out to us
14:27
Um hang on we still let me see we used to have a
14:34
consultation service but I yeah okay that's not open right now So best way to
14:40
reach out to us is either this or like leaving a comment in our comment section
14:45
or here Other than that I don't think we have like uh are we answering emails or
14:52
WhatsApp Uh I don't think so But Aean
14:58
um it just depends on the query really So if it's general student help I would
15:04
say that the live stream or the posts are the best way to get in touch with us
15:10
But uh when it comes to things that are related to partnerships or
15:16
collaborations with other uh platforms uh or such things that email would be
15:23
the best way So it just depends on the query uh we don't really use WhatsApp
15:29
but so so either email which is [email protected]
15:34
uh or just uh for general queries I would just about studying abroad they
15:40
would uh come to the live stream or just comment below a relevant post and you
15:47
would get a a reply right thank you uh one thing I can say about like clearly say about
15:54
scholarships is that be wary of these numbers like monthly stipens I'm not
15:59
sure how often these are updated on our website and I'm not sure how often they
16:05
are updated on how frequently they're updated on uh like the original website
16:10
Hang on Why am I not let me see uh we have I have to have the
16:17
page sorry here like the original one Yeah here it
16:22
is So because of course like if you want to study in Tur Turkey uh you would be
16:30
like you would know that we have an insanely high uh inflation problem that have been going on for years now Yeah
16:37
Nothing Um so yeah those numbers like look at those numbers and see like what
16:43
is the latest number because they updated it update it all the time So like you might want to
16:49
[Music] um you might want to just like maybe call the university or or the
16:55
institution and see um so yeah Voyager
17:00
um that is kind of right I wish I could say that um no we don't have that kind
17:06
of an issue here Uh but yeah we have uh we have some really problematic uh
17:13
issues here in Turkey and yes like there are so many things from the like from
17:19
the economy uh from the things you are mentioning that might make it a very uh
17:25
very unpleasant experience for international students Unfortunately uh
17:30
of course no one would like to say that uh for their home country but you know
17:37
you also don't want to uh give people false information anyway I don't see any
17:43
other is there any scholarships for Europe master's degree so here what what you can do yes there are um hey man you
17:51
can go to global scholarships now we don't have
17:57
um I don't I think we have a like specifically for uh Europe masters but
18:03
what you could do can go to global scholarships if you have a specific country in mind A lot of scholarships
18:09
that you will see will be probably uh like United Kingdom Um like a lot of
18:15
European countries especially universities do not offer that many scholarships But uh what you could do uh
18:22
is like for example if you want to study in France you can type in France and see
18:28
our like see the scholarships in our database So we have like seven of these
18:33
Uh so for example this is in Sorbon this is ENS Leon u you can look
18:40
into these but keep in mind that most of these are um
18:45
for the scholarships by the university There are also other scholarships that are from external institutions like the
18:52
government etc etc Uh one of the main ones
18:57
is of course uh hang on DAD Um Aean is there something that you
19:04
specifically want to mention for this one like uh Europe master's degree scholarships
19:12
Um yes So as you said the most reliable scholarships for masters are those
19:17
offered by uh the governments Yeah Um in
19:22
European countries uh tuition is for the most part free in most countries but
19:29
when it is not it doesn't really exceed €750 euros per semester So it's much
19:36
much much more affordable than it is in the United States or Canada or
19:42
Australia Um but it but those uh free tuition scholarships obviously don't
19:49
really uh cover living expenses and that's why the governments of these
19:56
countries offer scholarships that would cover your living expenses Uh they are
20:02
for the most part for graduate students Some of them are offered to both undergraduate and graduates but uh I
20:10
believe that most of them are really targeting masters and PhD students Uh so you should look into into
20:18
that So there is one in Switzerland there's one in France in Germany uh in
20:25
Italy um there is one offered by the
20:30
Netherlands government Uh so Eastern Europe you can find
20:36
Hungary Romania uh those are countries that also offer scholarships to
20:41
international students but uh even the UK which is well technically in Europe
20:48
uh not part of the EU but um that's another option with the CHVN uh and
20:54
that's also for graduate students Okay thank you James Bond asks "Any full
21:01
funding scholarships for bachelors in Finland or Norway?" So yeah Um not as
21:08
much in Norway Let's see Finland Usually there aren't that
21:15
many Um okay So like Finland has way more Let's look for full funding
21:22
ones Now I'm I'm afraid you the answer like the real answer to your question is
21:28
no Uh but keep in mind that these are just the ones offered by universities to
21:34
newcoming students So there are scholarships that universities offer to um already enrolled students and there
21:40
are scholarships offered by um external scholar external uh institutions Um
21:46
hello I only get BAC
21:53
Um I suspect that is can I apply uh to what Can you make like can you make the
22:00
question a little bit more specific J say I'm not Jack let's say Jack can
22:07
you make the question a little bit more specific Can you explain about the bond in NU Singapore six-year bond I
22:15
don't think I know much about that Amen
22:20
Well to be honest neither do I All right Six year bond but I can Yeah but I can
22:27
look into it All right Um Amanx says "I've studied my
22:32
bachelor's in I think you mean in Turkey I'm kind of concerned if European countries would accept it." I think it
22:39
kind of depends on what university um you you have studied in Also what you
22:47
could do you could look into the university's um application process So
22:53
like if you have a specific university in mind once again you could go and see
22:58
let's say if you want to study in masters let's say want to study in
23:06
France right You can look it into any university uh and see their like their
23:12
application pro procedure They usually give you information about like what type of um what type of qualifications
23:20
they accept and what they do not I'm sil citizen and I live in Turkey Can I apply
23:26
the scholarship If you mean the Turkey government scholarships um I don't think
23:31
there is anything that kind of prevents you from um applying to that You can
23:36
look into Hang on Actually let me see how can I do the application I want to study in Norwich I want to do bachelor
23:44
So you want to study in Norway for bachelor How can I how can
23:50
you apply to a university Uh so basically um I think you would have to
23:57
look for tutorials um for so we have two jags now Uh so you
24:04
would have to look for tutorials uh about a specific university because like it is uh different for every university
24:11
Some universities accept online applications Some universities uh need you to b like literally send your
24:18
documents via mail like actual mail Uh so yeah that kind of depends on the
24:25
university Um can I apply the scholarship Um global scholarship So
24:33
okay here's what you could do Uh you're from Somali right
24:39
Uh you [Music] can let's hit enter
24:45
here and see in the nationality
24:56
section Somalia So these are the scholarships that you are eligible for based on your
25:03
nationality You can filter further for other things like degree location etc
25:08
etc Most scholarships do not care about your nationality Um some scholarships
25:14
are like more targeted at people at specific people Um scholarship is it
25:22
expensive Um so Jack if you if you're asking like are there any scholarships
25:29
Is it expensive So you can go to our YouTube channel right now You know what
25:35
Why am I doing this Let me show you where actually can find a lot of information Go to
25:40
globalcolarships.com guides section We have country guides right We
25:47
will and in the Europe section we have uh like study Norway All right click on
25:54
that and you will see a lot like a huge collection of guides
26:00
uh like from pros and cons higher education best English taught universities best universities for
26:06
international students best business like specific um program school applying
26:13
to university and like language test etc Financing how to study in Norway for
26:19
free You can see these and these will give you a lot of information And also for this one we've made a video too You
26:26
can also watch this on our YouTube channel if you want Um so yeah if you
26:31
have any more specific questions um that might be a better uh use of our time
26:37
here Um so Muhammad Sidani says "Hello
26:42
my academic average is 90 but I don't have an English English exam What advice
26:47
for any advice for scholarship?" Um Aean their average is 90 but no English exam
26:57
Um well first of all I want to go back to the previous question
27:03
um one about the the six year one Yeah So it turns out that uh students who get
27:11
a scholarship are actually compelled to uh serve a threeyear or six year bond
27:18
where they have to work in Singapore and contribute to the economy before uh they can do anything else um for so they get
27:26
e they get two passes for work So they get either an employment pass or a skill
27:32
pass and then for the employment pass they need to get a job that pays at least
27:39
5k Um and for the skill pass the the requirements are much less So you need
27:46
to just get a job that pays you at least 2.5k Uh and I and basically what what
27:54
the downside of the scale path is um you'd need to so companies have a quota
28:02
to employ people and local people would have
28:07
uh the edge over foreign students So you would have a much harder time to find a
28:14
job And for employment pass you would probably have uh less issues in finding
28:21
a job but you would have the issue of finding a job that pays at least 5K
28:26
which is now quite easy Uh so these are the issues that I saw people
28:32
um are facing Um I'm not sure what kind of information
28:38
you're looking for uh exactly but this is this sums it up a little bit If
28:45
you're looking for any specific information I think uh after read them a little bit I can help you with that Um
28:53
as far as the English exam is concerned many scholarships don't ask
28:59
for that If you're a native speaker or if you had your previous education in
29:06
English if you can prove that that's fine Um otherwise
29:12
you would have to as a foreign student prove
29:18
uh that you are proficient in English The only way to do it is to sit for
29:23
English proficiency exams be it TOEFL ILTS Dualingo for universities that
29:30
accept it um or any other accepted standardized test
29:37
Right Thank you very much Aean would um so okay I don't see any other questions
29:43
Now we can move on to our daily topic Um we we got a lot of questions Um so
29:49
normally you would start earlier in the live stream If you have been waiting for that I'm sorry but we have to like it's
29:56
it's more a Q Q&A um live stream so we had to answer the questions Now today
30:02
we're going to see the cost of living in Switzerland for international students So basically we have um we have guides
30:11
based on this All right Um like cost of studying we have other for others as
30:17
well I I've made a couple of videos about this and I'm trying to find how
30:22
interested you are because I think it's a very important topic if you want to study um
30:27
abroad But for like a couple of videos I made I didn't think you were that interested So this is for Switzerland
30:34
Switzerland of course is one of the most expensive places one of the most like it is literally the most expensive country
30:41
in the world So like these will be the most expensive places you'll find in
30:46
anywhere But of course um the correspondingly the um quality of
30:51
education is very high So you can see first first of all as a like non-
30:57
studentent normal person uh how much you would need to uh stay in Switzerland You
31:03
can't find it here Uh Nambio has a really good cost of living index which
31:09
is actually kind of a map So basically when you look at this right uh you'll
31:15
see that uh we have greens and reds and green means it's uh affordable and red
31:21
means more uh expensive So as you can see the Switzerland is pretty much comp
31:27
like it is the highest levels you will find So here in the numbers uh with
31:33
basically New York is 100 like it's the basis for um their estimations and as
31:40
you can see Switzerland like every city they have is pretty much over a 100 So
31:46
like these are all more expensive than um New York For example Zuri I believe is the most expensive city uh or what I
31:55
think like maybe second So you will see you like you'll have you will need about like
32:01
$1,600 $1,700 um a month that is without rent And rent
32:08
is even more expensive It's like about $2,000 But now um this is like this is
32:15
the estimation of living costs for a normal person a non- studentent person Uh now we'll see I've went out and seen
32:23
a couple of like tried to find a couple of universities and their estimations for how much a student would need to
32:30
study in Switzerland Uh so we're going to see those in a second But first um
32:35
Aean what would you want to say about like uh in general studying in Switzerland and uh living costs uh or
32:42
studying costs in Switzerland Um yeah so studying costs are never the
32:50
issue Uh they are quite affordable They're probably as affordable as any
32:55
country in Europe Um you would have to pay around €1,500 per year which is not much at all
33:04
Uh in the grand scheme of things if you compare it to any other country it's pretty much free I know that uh there
33:12
are a lot of people who can't afford that but it's it's still uh quite cheap
33:20
Uh the the the the whole thing is about the cost of living because everything is
33:27
so expensive starting from brand to the most basic things I have seen a lot of
33:34
American people who are quite affluent they have the money but they complain about how expensive it is to visit or
33:41
live in Switzerland Um I think the estimation on Nambio is quite correct uh
33:51
without rent and I think if you factor in health insurance for students uh the
33:58
cost of uh tuition per semester and the cost of living in
34:04
general you would it would amount to about 2 to3,000 euros or uh Swiss Swiss
34:12
Franks per month Um so if you want to study in Switzerland I think a few years
34:19
ago uh the requirement was an account that has at least 20,000 Swiss Franks
34:26
before you can apply So you would need to approve of funds amounting to 20,000 Swiss Franks uh per year in
34:36
order to attend a university uh in Switzerland Another point to
34:42
uh clarify is that finding a part-time job is not going to be easy Uh
34:48
especially for international students you would really need uh a European
34:54
passport in order to get a job And if you do um you would actually be or need to be
35:03
the kind of person who can balance between school uh social life and work
35:08
and you would have no time at all Um the work or the hourly rate is really
35:15
good So you'd be paid around 20 Swiss Franks per hour Um and you can if you
35:22
can work during the weekends you can probably cover your rent uh through part-time work if you can find any Um
35:30
other than that you you'd still need the funds you with part-time work I would
35:36
say you'd still need about 15,000 a year to survive in Switzerland
35:45
Yeah Um thank you very much I can see that for some reason like my page like
35:52
this page isn't visible on Tik Tok I'm not sure why like there isn't any
36:01
um there isn't a problem that I can see It just decided to
36:08
not not show it basically Let me try it once
36:14
more then I I'm going to have to move on
36:20
Um yeah No maybe it'll come back basically Yeah I don't know what what
36:25
else to say So yes thank you very much Aean As you said it's a very very
36:30
expensive place Now normally I wouldn't really be interested in making like
36:36
talking about like cost of living here anyway Uh but like it turns out that
36:41
that's like one of the most popular uh topics like countries uh in our um
36:48
YouTube um content Like a lot of people are interested are watching videos are asking questions etc etc Um so yeah now
36:57
as you said like it will it will take a lot of money but uh now we're going to
37:02
see a couple of estimations Now first of all as Aean said uh studying costs are pretty much
37:09
negligible uh when compared to uh like how much you're going to have to pay for just living there Usually uh the like
37:16
the biggest issue will be like accommodation because rents are extremely high in Switzerland even like
37:24
even people living there Okay Are we even live on Tik Tok at this point I
37:29
don't think we are Um okay we'll see Anyway so uh even
37:37
people who are living there working there and etc like their entire life is there even they have a lot of like a lot
37:45
of issues being able to afford uh um accommodation Um but like studying cost
37:51
tuition fees as you can see are very very affordable Now let's see
37:57
actually for example Zuri studying in Zuri right now let me show you uh so
38:03
this is the cost of living uh estimation for uh ETA Zurich um one of the best
38:11
universities you will find like one of the main universities you'll find in Switzerland So as you can see tuition
38:17
fee this is per semester Um keep in mind so this is
38:22
individual study costs which um per month is about like 400
38:28
uh Swiss Franks And by the way a Swiss Frank is basically 1.1
38:34
um dollar So like this like 400 uh Swiss Franks will be about
38:40
$440 Keep keep that in mind And then you have your individual costs uh like rent
38:48
uh which will be about like 900 uh or something like a,000 which also
38:54
like this room including heat etc etc Now some universities estimate this a
39:00
little lower We're going to see um but like I think this this is probably maybe
39:06
a share department uh like I think about a thousand Swiss Franks franks is just
39:12
like a share department or maybe accommodation in the university Um meals like basically grocery groceries is
39:18
about like 600 Um I've seen this like something between 400 to up to a,000
39:25
Swiss Franks You have public transport health insurance Health insurance can be quite um a burden here too And then your
39:32
for your individual expenses uh it's just 140 and it comes up to uh 1,800
39:39
Swiss Franks And when you add the um studying costs like this is this and
39:45
this of course this is divided by six because it's per semester So it's about
39:52
like as uh Aean said it's about 2,000 Swiss Franks or it would be about I
39:57
think 2300 um every month And for every single year
40:03
you'll be paying about like 27 $28,000 or maybe
40:11
$29,000 Um which is extremely high That is true Um without any without any um
40:19
scholarships That's right But it als it is also less than pretty much the lowest
40:25
um tuition fee you will find in United States basically Uh yeah Okay There are
40:31
some like there are very very very few um tuition fees that you will find in the United States lower than $30,000 Uh
40:39
but again this is like one of the best universities you'll find in Switzerland So I think in that sense this is like
40:45
without any scholarships without anything without any financial aid So yeah it is very expensive Um but again
40:54
like when compared to how much tuition fee you would have to pay in United States um it is like it doesn't look
41:01
that insanely expensive Aman correct me if I'm
41:10
wrong No no you're right You're right I mean obviously like tuition fee is
41:16
seen in the United States as a like a like a cost of having high education
41:21
higher education and there are way more there are way more scholarships that you will find in the United States than you
41:27
will find in Switzerland of course uh but like if you cannot have any scholarship um like it's not as it's
41:35
still not not as expensive as United States tuition fees and also there you'll have to pay for your living costs
41:42
which will not be this high but still So this is this was ETH Zurich and as you
41:48
can see it's about like $2,000 2,000 Swiss Franks per month which is like
41:53
what our guide has um estimated And then we have Geneva So
41:59
hang on let me actually see we have also one
42:05
for an estimation for Geneva right So this is um Geneva
42:10
Graduate Institute This is like one of the in its
42:16
own um area which I I believe is international relations It is one of the
42:21
best universities high institutions that you will find like this institute
42:27
um kind of like its alumni includes people like um general secretary of
42:33
United Nations like there are there are very there is a very close tie between
42:38
uh Geneva and like international organizations NGOs etc etc So it's like
42:44
one of the top universities you could go uh for uh this type of education So as
42:49
you can see we have the uh tuition fees uh which is very very affordable like a
42:54
th00and 3,000 Swiss Franks a couple of thousand dollar again as Aean said can
43:00
be unaffordable for still a lot of people but when compared to most universities they are very very very um
43:08
reasonable numbers So these are the costs these are like the tuitions etc Um
43:14
and then we have like a guide on who is a Swiss resident And then we have uh we
43:21
have living costs like their estimation You can click on here monthly budget estimate to see as you can see So like
43:29
their um estimation for rent is a little bit more affordable compared to Zurich
43:35
Uh monthly rental charges vary widely in Geneva both in private accommodation and student residencies Uh so graduate
43:42
institute student house So by the way let me actually can I do that
43:49
um hang
43:55
on never mind Uh I wanted to show you like the university and where it is like
44:00
it's just by the lake Uh so like that would be where you would
44:06
uh stay So it's about like 750 Franks Uh like if you want to stay
44:13
if you want to stay in a studio apartment it's about like 1,200 Franks And yeah so we have food pretty much the
44:20
same As you can see it's a little cheaper here Public transport health insurance Um again as you can see public
44:27
sorry health insurance can be from 60 to 400 Swiss Franks So it kind of ranges
44:33
and mobile phone etc So uh as you can see this is
44:38
um about like 1,400500 Swiss Franks uh and like two up
44:44
to 3,000 and again their yearly estimation is about
44:50
18,000 Swiss Franks which would which would be less than $20,000 Again it is
44:55
very expensive but like if you are going to this university this institute uh like it will be pretty much the best
45:02
education you will be able to get pretty much anywhere Uh but also like the
45:08
connections you will have here uh will be just like top profile I could say So
45:14
yeah Geneva is a little less um expensive than uh Zurich And then I
45:21
think we had one more Okay Uh so this was uh
45:27
Geneva So for Loausan um it's about like the our guide kind of estimates about
45:34
2500 So we have poly technique federal de loan Um I don't think let's see as
45:43
you can see tions are still very affordable We have some um
45:49
scholarships some fundings Um for example let me see Let's
45:57
see this one Right If we go to the university's page for the scholarship can we get
46:04
um like a budget estimation directly from the
46:12
university No I don't think so Anyway so yeah for um for Loausanne it's about
46:19
like 20 uh 2500 and then we also have for one for Basil Basil Uh let me see
46:27
that too Hi there uh Kuruku uh welcome to our live stream So this is another
46:34
one University of Basil uh one of like the uh main universities here in
46:40
Switzerland As you can see tuition fees are less than um
46:46
$2,000 right So they have some they have some full funding scholarships as well for PhD
46:53
positions And again if you have any questions by the way you can just leave them here As you can see Han answers
47:00
every single question And then we have another living cost estimation for this university I think the only one I
47:06
couldn't find was uh Loausanne So this is for Basil basically as you
47:13
can see University of Basil Uh we have semester fees education cost accommodation again So accommodation
47:21
here seems to be more affordable even more affordable like 600 Uh we have
47:26
food again more affordable Uh healthc care transport a little bit more than
47:32
other places And then we have like both leisure and additional costs So it's
47:38
about like 2,000 Um but like I think some of these
47:43
are a little bit more uh than like what they need to be Like for example we have
47:49
leisure and additional costs Um so yeah I think like yearly this would still be
47:55
about 20 something between 20 to 25,000 Swiss Franks which would still be um
48:02
below $30,000 Of course like if you have anyone if you have someone there that
48:08
you can stay with um yeah it will considerably uh reduce your living costs
48:14
Social services team is available to explain and and offer advice on any issues regarding financing grants and
48:20
scholarships I would um really like I would absolutely uh take them up on that
48:27
So we have also this link here So yeah mainly you will be looking at something
48:34
like um I'd say 20,000 to maybe a little more than
48:40
$30,000 per year which is a very very
48:45
um considerable sum of money Um but again studying in Switzerland like these
48:52
universities will give you some of the best education you will find and it is still not as expensive as you will get
48:58
in some American universities uh that are not that high ranking either
49:04
So I I think that's um one of the uh like uplifting sides of this So we have
49:12
also in our guide ways to minimize academic and living cost in Switzerland scholarships for international students
49:18
part-time for for international students uh which I haven't talked about Um we
49:25
also we have actually let me see we also have um a
49:32
video on this uh how to study in Switzerland for free which is like uh you were which is a video that you were
49:39
really interested in So you might want to check that out Do we have a country
49:44
guide for this Um let me
49:50
see Yeah we do So we have we do have a country guide um where you can see like
49:56
pretty much everything you would need uh from higher education information to pros and cons universities programs
50:03
applying to universities uh language proficiencies and yeah this is the one
50:09
how to study in Switzerland for free where you will find even more information to about how to finance your education here and then you can also
50:18
watch our video too Anyway that's pretty much it on uh what we want to say about
50:24
studying like the cost of studying in Switzerland Aean do you want to say anything else about this topic
50:31
Um so for the University of Loausan I think I sent you a link Uh they don't
50:37
have an English dedicated page It's only in French M and speaking of that um it's
50:45
really really hard to find English taught courses at the bachelor's level in Switzerland So Switzerland is a
50:52
country that has four official languages Uh so it it's not an Englishspeaking
50:59
country per se I think the predominant language is French Uh they speak Italian
51:06
and I think Roman Yeah um on top of English but at the
51:12
undergraduate level it's really hard to find English taught courses You would only find or not only but you would find
51:20
more of those at the graduate level So as a master's or a PhD student um you
51:26
would find courses that are taught in English So anyone who wants to study in
51:33
Switzerland and can speak French or Italian I would say French to
51:41
uh to a bigger extent Uh you need to reconsider where
51:48
you want to study Maybe you should look into other countries uh if the cost of living is not an issue
51:54
for you Um yeah So other than that I think that's a big point to make that I forgot to make earlier Just remembered
52:02
when I only found the page in French Um yeah other than that I think we have
52:08
pretty much covered everything concerning the cost of studying and living uh in Switzerland
52:15
Yeah So by the way this is not so this um this page at least has an English um
52:23
version I think like probably you cannot directly go to this one Uh but I've seen
52:29
so many pages where you can choose either Italian German or French and there is no English Basically they don't
52:36
have any Uh but one thing that might be a little bit uh like a silver lining from that is so basically there are
52:43
different places like different regions in the country Um and like so perhaps
52:49
maybe you want to study in Switzerland uh but you don't know any German Um so
52:54
if you don't if you know French uh you can just like go to a French-speaking part or maybe you know Italian you can
53:01
just go to Italian speaking part and a lot of people will be uh speaking that
53:06
language So like if you if you do not know it's not like that Uh you will you
53:11
will go there by just knowing one language and people will always expect
53:17
you to speak another language like another one of those languages too So like your social life will be crippled
53:22
Um at least you will know before going what language will be spoken there And
53:27
it's kind of like an kind of nice because like I like from what I see like
53:33
they're all like their own different countries Like the French part is like a
53:39
little more French than German part Italian part is a little bit Italian but they're still all Switzerland Uh so by
53:47
the way um completely like living costs and um how expensive things are kind of
53:54
uh depends on that too like Italian part Italian side of the country will be a
54:00
little bit more more affordable than the German uh part because like also the
54:06
average income is a little lower too So like at least this is one thing that I really like about German universities
54:12
and I think that like Switzerland kind of also has this like they have a lot of bureaucracy and it can be really
54:19
tiresome for people who are going there from other countries but also they like
54:24
everything is very very um exact I would say like you will know
54:32
what you're getting into before you go there like they give you a lot of information uh from the get-go go So I
54:38
think that that's kind of better in terms that like there are less unpleasant surprises I guess So I think
54:44
that's one of the silver linings here So yeah By the way this is also like 2,000 uh ranks per month Again
54:53
pretty much the same So um all right guys I don't see
54:58
any new questions any details on PhD programs in psychology in your videos
55:05
um PC program like I I don't think we've made any videos on
55:10
that also I cannot show you even if I hang on sorry um let me try it once
55:18
again okay now now it's working now it decided to work um okay anina so let's say
55:28
psychology right subject and then let's choose um
55:36
PhDs will it do the same thing No Okay So let's try that
55:44
again So basically when you choose a subject in our filters
55:50
uh search tool first they will show you the um scholarship that specifically mentions that program For example this
55:57
is for biochemistry biology chemistry molecular biology and psychology So you can look into these and see um like full
56:05
tuition full tuition this is full funding for example in Atlanta Um we have graduate assistantships but then
56:12
after uh it so we have some specifically just for psychology sid
56:18
scholarships Uh and then when it runs out it will give you all subject
56:23
scholarships like this one super k scholarship in uh Kyoto It says all
56:31
subjects but there is a very good um like warning here Please note that all
56:36
subjects refer specifically to those offered by the university Be sure that the subject you are searching for is
56:42
part of the university's um I think basically like uh this means if
56:48
the university is offering that so yeah I think like a lot of universities will
56:53
be offering psychology Anyway I don't see any other questions Okay the moment
56:59
I said that University College London full funding scholarship for bachelors I feel like James Bond that
57:06
you could do that yourself Let's see by using our sour tool uh
57:15
university college land I think we made a tutorial about
57:22
this one like application tutorial on our uh YouTube
57:29
channel full funding scholarship for bachelor So uh yeah we have a video on
57:36
this how to apply Um so basically you can go to the page let me actually share
57:41
the page like if you're interested in studying in this university um you can
57:46
just then click on scholarships As you can see there are five different scholarships What on earth is going on
57:52
in Tik Tok What What is
57:59
that What are you seeing exactly I'm not
58:09
What Okay So we have one undergraduate It's full tuition uh for bachelors So
58:17
UCL global undergraduate scholarship Okay Tik Tok is acting out I'm not sure
58:24
what's going on here Uh so as you can see there are no full funding scholarships for bachelors in UCL Um you
58:34
could although so this is 100% of tuition fees Hang
58:39
on It says full tuition Um but it covers 100% of tition
58:45
fees living statement fixed loans for additional costs for 10 recipients for the duration of the course So yeah this
58:52
sounds more like full funding Um anyone correct me if I'm
58:58
wrong So we've also made a video about that this one too You can just click here by watching that
59:05
guys But this looks like um a full funding scholarship This is the thing
59:10
which I was confused Um so percent reduction tution fees 23 So
59:19
this is just for 10 recipients like normally 33 people get this for two and
59:25
three it's just a 100% tuition reduction which means it's full tuition and just
59:31
for 10 people um it is also living step and etc So it's full funding Let's see
59:38
the details on that So uh awards full tition fees and maintenance
59:44
allowance Um we have eligibility low income backgrounds
59:50
admission benefits Okay Blah blah blah
59:57
blah So we have three specifically for students from India I'm pretty sure I'm
1:00:04
just like playing time here while in that video you said Indians have more advantage Can you tell me what it this
1:00:10
one So it has um 23 um normal full tuition fees 10
1:00:18
scholarships current full tition fees etc And so three specifically for people
1:00:24
from India uh acting masters acting masters in the US Okay we can look at
1:00:30
that Um Aean did you have time to look this
1:00:37
up Aean are you here Are you muted or not Uh am I muted Hello Y can
1:00:45
hear you Um we Yes this should be the fully
1:00:51
funded scholarship and all right Um yes And as you mentioned uh if a
1:00:59
certain nationality has um specific seats or a specific number
1:01:06
of recipients they definitely have the advantage as they have a guaranteed uh
1:01:13
three spots three scholarships Um so Indian students have a a slight
1:01:21
advantage like in comparison to other students but UCL remains uh a very very
1:01:27
competitive university a very selective university it's a Russell group university and it's expected
1:01:34
um so only the top students from India would get in anyway so it's not about
1:01:41
anyone uh you'd have to be someone with uh good acade academic records a good
1:01:49
extracurriculars um you need to send out among all uh
1:01:56
applicants in order to secure a scholarship at UCL
1:02:02
All right thank you Um so yeah it should be um yeah James it should be full
1:02:07
tuition Um again though like the university is already very competitive scholarship especially the full funding
1:02:13
part would be even more um more u competitive and I wish I could say like
1:02:20
the in like those three Indian seats would have less competition but it's uh
1:02:26
it's Britain so I would think like there will be a lot of people from India that
1:02:31
would go for those three seats So even those um three very like very specific
1:02:38
foreign nation those will still be very high competition Could you check for acting masters in the US So uh we have
1:02:45
these here Um unfortunately there aren't that many um
1:02:52
masters scholarships for specifically for acting Now uh we have a lot of
1:02:58
scholarships as you can see like about hundreds of those uh that you can see here that says all subjects but um that
1:03:06
means all subjects that is offered by that university So if that university does not offer acting as a program you
1:03:14
cannot what what why am I what am I explaining You cannot see anything Sorry
1:03:21
Um all right This um this is not
1:03:26
good Oh no So hang
1:03:34
on All right So I'm going to have to
1:03:40
No it will not It will it it will just not show I I like you can watch maybe the YouTube uh live stream That might be
1:03:48
a better idea Or you could just go to globalscolarships.com um type in acting
1:03:56
uh search I Jesus Okay Um so I like you would really do well to go and watch us
1:04:03
on YouTube We have a search tool Uh you can just go to globalcolarships.com
1:04:08
There are no uh like no registration no payment or anything Uh it's just like
1:04:14
you can type in acting or United States and then you will see our
1:04:19
filters You know what I'll just wait for you I'll just wait for you here Uh let me know let me know when you are on our
1:04:26
YouTube live stream then I will explain it Okay Um we're visible on Yeah Okay
1:04:33
Jon says "Is there any way to get application fee waver in
1:04:39
UCL?" Um did you did you look at our um
1:04:45
application tutorial Because like I think if there is a way to wave that I
1:04:51
think I would have mentioned it Uh but I'm not sure right now Aean uh do you
1:04:56
have any information ready for that Um yes I mean there is a way but I don't
1:05:05
think it applies to most people The the only way you you would get a fee waiver
1:05:10
is uh in case of displacement uh like a war um which would be probably
1:05:19
the case for people in Ukraine for example but it wouldn't apply to other countries There are a few uh programs
1:05:28
that are exempted from the application fee and uh all of them are post-graduate
1:05:35
programs either masters or post-graduate certificates Um so you should look into
1:05:42
those and see if what you're applying for is among those programs that are
1:05:47
exempted Otherwise you would have to pay the 90 fee
1:05:52
All right Thank you Um like if it kind of depends on displacement that's probably uh
1:06:00
something I wouldn't see or wouldn't mention perhaps in the tutorial So sorry about that But yeah uh looks like
1:06:07
something that wouldn't be available for a lot of people Welcome Musa Uh so here
1:06:13
is our uh website globalcolarships.com So you go here We
1:06:19
have a lot of guides etc etc Uh I've done the introduction So basically you can go here applying okay James B I'll
1:06:28
come back to you in a second So you can choose acting here right as a subject
1:06:35
um completely as you can see it's completely free you can choose location here in United States and then say
1:06:42
masters now here's the thing how subjects work um as you can see we have
1:06:48
a lot of scholarships here um how subjects work is when
1:06:56
you sorry our uh filters need a little time Um so yeah how it works is
1:07:03
basically when you put in a subject like engineering let's say it first shows you
1:07:09
uh the scholarships that are specifically for that like scholarships that mention that program specifically
1:07:16
Uh so you know what let's say for example
1:07:21
engineering Yeah see we have arts business education engineering So after
1:07:26
it run runs out of those scholarships it will show uh all subjects but all
1:07:31
subjects means that all subjects that is offered by that university So uh if the
1:07:37
university does not offer acting um then you will not be able to apply to
1:07:44
the scholarship through acting because like you won't be able to take that program in the university first in the
1:07:50
first place So uh I would look at the universities one by one like uh to see
1:07:57
what universities uh offer that program and then a lot of universities in uh United States they offer something
1:08:03
called graduate assistantships Um basically this is kind of like being employed more touching with the bachelor
1:08:12
program Which bachelor program Kashif uh like if you have any specific program in
1:08:17
mind uh we might uh be more helpful So basically this is like being uh employed
1:08:24
by the university So you go to the university you work as an assistant uh like 20 hours a week Uh you might be a
1:08:30
teaching assistant you might be um like a research assistant Um yeah then like
1:08:36
then they give you a lot of stuff But like first you need to have a you need to be sure that um yeah you need it's
1:08:45
it's not like kind of full full-time uh I mean when you work full-time as a
1:08:50
full-time assistant it's still like 20 hours a week uh they they also don't let
1:08:56
you uh work more than like maybe 30 hours and for even for that you have to
1:09:01
get like a spe special permission etc So yeah first you need need to see whether
1:09:08
the university offers um offers acting as a program and then also one thing you
1:09:13
have to keep in mind about graduate assistantships is that uh you cannot really depend on that Uh you have to
1:09:20
first uh apply to the university apply to the program be admitted go there
1:09:25
start studying and then you can apply for the assistantship If you get it it
1:09:31
will cover a lot But uh you cannot apply to the university before going there and
1:09:36
studying Uh you cannot apply for the scholarship before going there and studying uh starting your studies Sorry
1:09:43
James Bond do you have any idea of in campus jobs in Kais University like how
1:09:49
much can we work and earn during our undergraduate degree So first of all
1:09:56
let's look at uh bachelor's engineering
1:10:03
right So let's choose engineering Um you know what I'll just hit enter
1:10:11
here Oh I'm not I don't have a lot of information about
1:10:16
um in campus jobs What one thing you could do
1:10:22
um is go to global
1:10:27
scholarships go to guides and then choose South
1:10:33
Korea Sorry South Korea Um and then go scroll down
1:10:41
Financing your studies Cheapest universities Um hang on Types of visa
1:10:47
Yeah you see work opportunities You can look into look at these um four ways to work while studying in
1:10:54
South Korea for international students or um gone How to study in Korea for free
1:11:02
Maybe you can get more information in that but not specifically
1:11:08
um not specifically for that university Damn acting is my passion but I'm doing
1:11:14
computer engineering bachelors in Turkey right now I see Um I also really like
1:11:20
acting like I do all the time on stage as an amateur Um what about mast's
1:11:27
scholarships in UK Again guys I would really advise you to use the search tool
1:11:32
It is very simple to use You can just like uh type in United Kingdom here and
1:11:38
go and see Aemon are you by the way aware of like uh any do you possess any
1:11:44
specific information about uh like work opportunities in on campus um kaist
1:11:51
that's very specific I mean we are always asking for more specific questions but that is that is very
1:11:57
specific
1:12:02
um like as far as I know it's it's quite quite rare to find
1:12:11
uh on campus jobs uh outside uh countries
1:12:18
like the US or a few countries in Europe and especially at KAIST Uh it's a very
1:12:27
prestigious university where you're mostly expected to
1:12:33
um go there to study uh I think most work opportunities
1:12:39
uh are not readily available for Englishspeaking uh students and I'm not even aware if
1:12:46
there is work on campus but outside of campus it's you you'd need to speak
1:12:52
Korean in order to uh get a job in most
1:12:57
universities in South Korea So as far as I know that the workload
1:13:04
is huge uh when it comes to studies So you would probably not even have time to
1:13:11
work outside uh the university
1:13:17
Kais is basically regarded as MIT is in the United States So there
1:13:24
is a huge expectation or there are huge expectations of students and the biggest
1:13:30
expectation is that you're there to study to excel at whatever you're studying I don't think if you'd have
1:13:37
time to work and even if you did you would need to work outside the
1:13:43
university and you'd need to have or be proficient in uh Korean
1:13:51
Okay Thank you Kashif Khan says "I'm a Pakistani student here in North Cyprus."
1:13:57
Um okay I'm doing a bachelor's Bachelor of AI but it is hard for me to complete
1:14:04
my studies due to high tuition fees and accommodations How can you help me to leave this country Which country should
1:14:11
I focus So um yeah I'm not sure how things are
1:14:18
really like how do they work in uh northern Cyprus like um it is kind of
1:14:26
it's not really a part of Turkey but it's kind of very close Uh for the
1:14:32
reasons I'm not I don't really want to go in in a YouTube video right now Um
1:14:38
but like if you are like if you want to uh get outside of Turkey um as a
1:14:44
Pakistani student first of all one thing you need to decide is do you want to leave your
1:14:51
program like leave the program you are in completely and then start uh as a new
1:14:57
like start to a new program from uh zero.0 zero uh or do you want to be a
1:15:03
transfer student transfer student because those two are like that also kind of depends on your like the which
1:15:10
year you are on Um so like because those two situations will give you completely
1:15:16
different um opportunities So let's like if if you can give us more
1:15:24
information about like whether you are I think like since you clearly stated that
1:15:29
your main goal is to leave um northern Cyprus I think you wouldn't really be
1:15:35
all that interested in studying in Turkey too and I think uh you would like uh you would be ready to completely
1:15:41
leave your program and then start I want to check for masters related to computer engineering in US or there any tips and
1:15:48
specifics I should look out for in the universities or are there any unorthodox program types etc
1:15:55
etc So um first of all like if um if tuition fees and accommodation etc
1:16:03
are too much for you in northern Cyprus uh United States might not be the best
1:16:10
bet for you Uh maybe like other European countries could be like more affordable
1:16:16
for you We've for example we talked about uh Italy uh in this live stream
1:16:22
like tuition fees are uh tuition fees are way lower I'm interested in program
1:16:28
but reason is high tuition fees I think you are in a like I I believe you are in a private university because in Turkey
1:16:36
like uh public university do not charge a lot of tuition fees um if they do even
1:16:41
so Uh so like in United States first of all you will have to face a lot of high
1:16:47
tuition fees unless you can get a scholarship and then like I because like I'm I didn't want to
1:16:55
leave but I'm confusing how it will be possible to complete it Um I see I see yeah there is a there are a lot of ways
1:17:01
there are a lot of reasons to be very um very let's say uh nonoptimistic about
1:17:08
your future in Turkey I kind of understand that Um but like if you're planning to leave United States you'll
1:17:15
have a lot of tuition fees you will have like very high living costs etc Um so
1:17:20
like maybe some universities in the in Europe might be a better idea for you
1:17:26
And also like if you want to study in Asia Taiwan or China has uh very low
1:17:34
expenses very low tuition fees and more uh scholarships too Amen Do you have anything specific
1:17:42
uh you would like to say Like I I think um like I'm kind of uh working on an
1:17:49
assumption uh that you are like you you don't have a scholarship right now in Turkey Uh
1:17:56
like you are in a private university without any scholarships Uh so like I'm
1:18:02
also working on an assumption that you're looking for a country that you can you can study without any
1:18:07
scholarships and USA is very very difficult for you to uh afford without
1:18:13
any scholarships like it it is way way more expensive Uh so like somewhere in Europe might be more affordable and if
1:18:20
you're looking for scholarships what you can do is go to globalcolarships.com and look for um
1:18:26
scholarships in the United States Aean do you want to add anything about like do you want to do you have an advice
1:18:31
that you would want to give Um I mean it's pretty much the same
1:18:37
advice Um short of getting a scholarship I don't think
1:18:42
that changing the country would help with anything Even though tuition would be free in some parts of Europe but
1:18:50
whatever you're saving up on tuition you'll be paying double in living expenses Yeah Um I think li living in
1:18:57
Cyprus would be at least a third or a quarter of what it would cost to live in
1:19:05
Germany per month And basically it will just snowball and at the end of the year
1:19:12
you would spend way more on living expenses than you would have spent on tuition in Cyprus So the only advice I
1:19:20
can give really is try to apply for scholarships And if you get one that
1:19:26
covers your living expenses in any other country or a fully funded one then just
1:19:32
go for it Otherwise I think you're just going to have to stick with Cyprus or
1:19:39
although like I'm sorry I'm interrupting you Uh but like some some universities
1:19:45
in Turkey can charge um ridiculously high tuition fees Like if you're in that
1:19:51
sort of a situation um even with living costs maybe studying somewhere with a
1:19:57
cheaper uh tuition fee might be a little bit more um like rational because um so Musa says
1:20:07
uh that Turkey actually is cheaper um and it's normal It normally is and it
1:20:13
should be uh but with the recent occurrences and recent years uh and like
1:20:19
after a couple of years like four five years dealing with like 50% more than
1:20:25
60% um uh inflation with like foreign
1:20:31
currencies really suppressed oppressed uh or whatever it is it can be like the
1:20:37
other day there was a there was like a post on Instagram that was saying like
1:20:43
uh a croissant in a cafe in Istanul is
1:20:49
more expensive than a crossan you will eat in Paris So like I I can I can kind
1:20:56
of understand like because I'm living in Turkey kind kind of understand uh what they are kind of going through Um so
1:21:03
yeah like it kind of depends on your tuition fee because again some universities can like uh charge very
1:21:10
high tuition fees but if you don't have any scholarships uh yeah USA won't be a
1:21:16
very good idea Um maybe somewhere like somewhere in Europe but cheaper than
1:21:22
Germany perhaps something like Portugal maybe Spain maybe Italy I would say I
1:21:27
guess So yeah that might be a better better idea Sorry I interrupted you just
1:21:33
to like make like like like clear a little bit because Musa is also talking
1:21:38
about the same thing Um so like Turkey is very cheap normally but is getting
1:21:47
increasingly uh like unreasonably expensive year by
1:21:52
year I just wanted to say that too Uh please I sorry I interrupted Go ahead Oh no I was pretty much done with my
1:22:00
point at that point Yeah So that that was all I had to say So yeah Um there are some that have like
1:22:08
3,000 um more than that I believe Like some
1:22:14
universities coach university for example isn't like a couple of hundred,000 las or something uh there
1:22:21
are some universities that are uh charging like um insane tuition fees and
1:22:27
obviously they offer a lot of uh like high quality of education but I don't really know about Northern Cyprus So
1:22:33
yeah I like my advice uh would be to maybe look at some places like um I
1:22:40
would guess you would want to go west from here and and like maybe Spain look
1:22:46
at uh Portugal Halich is that without any scholarship
1:22:51
like some any uh tuition reduction or something Uh I think Halich is a little
1:22:57
more reasonable I think like coach university was it extremely high Uh
1:23:04
anyway so yeah Turkey is pretty cheap A lot of options more things to do than Cypress at least I don't really have a
1:23:10
lot of information on Cypress I don't even like uh I'm not I'm not even sure
1:23:16
which ministry um you work with when you're in
1:23:21
Cyprus foc focused on the US because regardless I would still like to end up in uh I see Yeah So like if you are very
1:23:30
uh like very completely decided like dead set on studying in United States
1:23:36
you can like there are a lot of scholarships that you might find and like maybe you'll have a better chance
1:23:41
of uh studying somewhere cheaper more affordable uh with lower cost cost of
1:23:47
living because one thing about USA is that they have uh like for example in Switzerland we've seen uh you'll have
1:23:54
places like 2,000 Swiss Franks uh per month but also like you can as go uh as
1:24:02
low as maybe uh 1,600700 like you will not go very low from that but that's not
1:24:09
really the case from United States we have some very high uh living cost places in the United States and some
1:24:15
very very low uh living cost places so yeah uh that might be like if you are if
1:24:21
you get like a tuition full tuition scholarship and then go and live in a place where Maybe you'll need $600 a
1:24:30
month Uh yeah that might be a that might be affordable but without any
1:24:35
scholarships even the look like the basic scholarship will cost you more than what you would spend in
1:24:43
Switzerland So yeah Okay I don't see any uh other questions in YouTube and Tik
1:24:49
Tok is I just finished it already ended it because like it's not working the
1:24:54
live stream So I think it's time to end our live stream here Um thank you
1:25:00
everyone for joining in My thoughts is are that if United States with
1:25:07
opportunities there I should be able to find a way to cover some chunks of the costs Hopefully uh yeah hopefully um
1:25:15
like it is it it will be a way way more stable uh economy than uh the Turkish
1:25:22
economy That is for sure uh like you will know what will be happening in like
1:25:27
four years later five years later Okay anyone H everyone thank you very much
1:25:33
for joining us today It's been a kind of a longer than um intended live stream Uh thank you for
1:25:41
joining in If you're watching this on VOD thank you very much for watching And Aean thank you for joining in for
1:25:48
today's live stream Um yeah of course Thanks for having me
1:25:53
out All right everyone See you next week
