okay I think we're at live right now on YouTube hi everyone it's Global scholarships and I'm your host as I hope
0:12
you're all doing well I hope everything is going great and today we are here with another weekly live stream another
0:18
Friday another live stream today will be just on uh YouTube as well uh Tik Tok is
0:24
not working for us right now I'm not sure what's going on there I think like Tik Tok in general is having a difficult
0:29
time at this moment uh but today um if you're watching this uh as a video after
0:36
live stream so we are here every Friday at the same hour so if you do not know
0:41
us uh maybe you came across the VOD later we are Global scholarships uh we are a platform that shares a lot of
0:47
informative stuff about um studying abroad about scholarships etc etc as you can see we have a YouTube channel we
0:54
also have a Tik Tok account or share also some stuff but mainly we're ontu
1:00
YouTube uh we share a lot of informative stuff about like scholarships videos etc etc also the most important part of
1:07
course we have all right James Bond hi uh coming in very fast full funding in
1:12
Hong Kong for Bachelors I'm un aable to find it on the website um hang on you
1:21
cannot uh so go to Hong Kong right this is our Search tool by
1:28
the way for anyone who like new here um it's a completely free search tool you can use for uh full funding for
1:36
Bachelors let's choose Bachelors here um
1:41
okay location is gone again H Kong
1:47
oops my old Fingers um that cannot be
1:54
right I don't think hang go on yeah it
2:00
this isn't this doesn't seem right does it Hong Kong location so it says Hong Kong
2:09
in location there this has to be a bug I believe uh it is completely normal that
2:14
it couldn't find um in schol scholarships um can you see
2:20
this Aman can you look at this um I'm like I chose location as Hong Kong and
2:26
degree as Bachelor and uh only University coming in my device only us univers are coming
2:33
after filtering I'm not sure um hymon may have a
2:38
better may have better information on that let's you know what let's try to
2:44
um be the same yep how about we do this Hong Kong
2:50
and then instead of choosing let's it enter nope not going to work okay um Aon
3:00
uh yeah I'm not I'm really not sure why maybe because the team hasn't cover Hong
3:07
Kong yet um in the database maybe we have the
3:13
country but there are no entries for the country that's why it's just showing all
3:18
scholarships I see so yeah I think like there might be an issue with the um
3:23
database James Bond what you could do is like you could just go and search for
3:28
universities like universities in Hong Kong uh and type them here as like institutions so that might be a better
3:35
idea idea P bomb says hello if I have only if I have only chance left of a
3:41
fully founded scholarship in Indonesia do I go for it or not um well I think
3:47
that's a very specific question in a way I mean it's a very personal like it kind of depends on your situation a lot like
3:53
a lot of things about your situation where you're from what do you want to study um your finances what like what
3:59
school um but like maybe aan can give us a like some insights about going to Indonesia
4:06
with with a full ofed scholarship um am like do you have anything to say about this like in general or fit bomb of
4:13
course if you can give us a little more information about your specific situation maybe we can give you a better
4:19
uh better insights Aman um yes so it just depends on their situation really
4:28
uh where they are from originally uh but a fully funded scholarship is always a good thing um if
4:38
uh Indonesia is a country you want to study in a country that you want to
4:45
experience then by all means it remains highly highly subjective there are a lot
4:52
of people who would love the opportunity to go to Indonesia study uh there and
4:59
have a fully funded scholarships mhm um like it just it just depends on on the
5:07
person themselves uh whether uh the country appeals to them
5:13
whether the culture appeals to them whether they think they can fit uh in
5:18
the country within the culture or no um yeah it remains highest
5:25
objective uh it's really up to you so if you want to go Yeah by all
5:32
means okay thank you very much so let's
5:38
say yeah okay you can like for example go and search for a University of Hong
5:44
Kong uh then the institution will come up you can choose that to go and see and
5:49
we have like a tutorial we have now this new very very cool thing that like we
5:54
already had these um the admission and scholarship results we we had these in
6:00
our like uh homepage uh but now when you go to a universities page that we have if we have any like actual results on
6:07
admission or scholarship um so you can see those two for example we have like three people for this University uh two
6:15
from Russia one from Kazakhstan we can see SATs acts uh this is estimated family
6:21
contribution GPA schoolers ships and as you can see uh the status or of course
6:27
you can see the deadlines here um tuitions and the scholarships and of
6:33
course you can always leave your questions here uh for H to answer so
6:39
yeah I I think like that might be the best thing you could do James Bond for example you could see
6:45
um uh yeah hang on yes for example you can click here
6:51
and go and see the scholarships in this University also now that uh we have like
6:57
as external scholarships we have our like Global scholarships.com uh scholarship here you can click here to
7:04
get more information too I'm not really sure what's going on
7:10
uh in the database perhaps um there could be a problem about the whole China
7:16
Hong Kong thing uh so let me share the link for our scholarship as well if
7:22
you're interested so yeah anyway this is global scholarships.com as you can see uh we
7:29
have kind of demonstrated that we have a very very helpful um search tool you can just go to Global scholarships.com don't
7:36
have to pay anything or create an account or something you can just type in anything any University or country
7:42
that you might be interested let's say you want to study in Germany right uh choose and then we have the results here
7:50
and you can filter further by a degree let's say you want to have like a okay
7:56
so this is uh this is like our um database is going through like Search
8:02
tool is going through work right now like uh you have to choose
8:07
again and if you're interested in a scholarship you can just click on them and get more information you know what
8:14
let's say let's say Canada right and then let's say full funding so if you're
8:19
new full funding basically means that it covers more than just a tuition fees um
8:25
full tuition means it covers just the tuition fees and if it's partial funding usually it covers less than um um
8:32
tuition fees but sometimes like it could be a 20% uh tuition reduction discount
8:40
sometimes it it can be like $10,000 just wholesale just like the university give
8:46
it to you gives it to you sometimes it's like for example it covers some of the
8:51
uh tuition fees but then gives you like accommodation and etc etc so it is actually a little bit more more than the
8:57
tuition uh full tuition but it is like categorized as partial funding so uh you
9:02
might want to look uh further perhaps so let's say as you can see we have four um
9:08
full funding Scholarships in Canada for Bachelors and you can click on any one of those for example this is Lester B
9:15
Pearson it's one of the most um comprehensive and popular Scholarships in Canada uh you here you'll see like
9:22
general information level of study host of institution um scholarship type etc
9:27
etc nationalities and then coverage you'll see eligibility criteria application process um no now
9:36
we have recipients here that is H that's really good so for example if now first
9:42
I have to show that now we um have something called scholarship stories
9:48
which I believe is is a really helpful thing for a lot of people uh you can just go to Global scholarships.com under
9:53
the resources section you can just go and see scholarship stories right and for example
10:00
by country you can choose that and filter for Country what we do is basically Global scholarships uh find uh
10:08
recipients like scholarship recipients and have them tell their stories uh for example this person um they are studying
10:17
in like they're from Ukraine they're studying in University of Bon uh they got daad scholarship which is a very
10:24
popular scholarship in Germany it's the government scholarship uh that we have that you have in in Germany and then
10:30
like their Journey scholarship details how did they prepare uh how did they
10:36
prepare for the scholarship uh etc etc like what would they have have done
10:41
differently or what advice do they have I think these are really great um you can get like way more insight through
10:49
this than just like uh maybe like a YouTube video or something because these are the people that actually got the
10:55
scholarships so like as you can see ilts scores um there GPA so where are they from what they
11:03
studied etc etc so these are great and now you can just see those uh in the
11:09
scholarship pages I think that's also amazing for example for ler B Pearson we have two scholarship stories you can
11:16
just click on any one of them and hang on okay I cannot do that yeah left click
11:24
and you can see and read their stories which will give you a lot of information I believe so yeah this is our Search
11:31
tool this is how our Search tool works we also have guides uh courses etc
11:38
for example we have country guides where you can get a lot of information about a specific country for example uh let's
11:44
say today we're going to talk about studying in South Korea by the way and how much it costs to study in South
11:49
Korea uh which is why I have this like South Green BS to USD tab here um for
11:55
example you can just click here and so basically we have these
12:01
compilations uh like or collections of many many many guides that we have for
12:07
studying in South Korea like higher education choosing universities applying to universities documents tests uh
12:14
financing like for example how to study in South Korea for free Etc so yeah uh you can look into these
12:23
um other than that that like we share a lot of informative stuff everywhere on YouTube on our page we have a newsletter
12:30
newsletter uh you can sign up through here and then you'll get information like emails uh that are tailored to you
12:37
uh to your specific situation like your nationality and etc etc all right so today we are just on YouTube which is
12:44
why I believe we don't have any new questions I don't think I can see any
12:50
questions so today we're going to talk about a little bit about studying in
12:55
South Korea and how much it costs to study in South Korea uh we of course have a guide on that let me show that to
13:04
you and share the link so you can look for yourself if if you're interested in studying South Korea um so I've made a
13:13
couple of videos about this this topic like cost of studying uh but I'm still not sure whether you are really
13:19
interested in seeing these so we're going to see uh if you're um interested
13:25
so basically first let's start with like maybe talking a little bit about studying inside South Korea in general
13:30
uh and then we can like talk about more specifically um hi there eroy how do you
13:36
help students to get admission in University so we basically share information like spreading of
13:43
information um Global scholarships also offers um like consultancy services but
13:50
uh it's not open right now I believe um like you could like you used to be able
13:56
to sign in and like um I think it was like maybe $5 $10 uh payment uh monthly
14:04
and then like you get get a lot of information like Global scholarships help you helps you personally with your
14:11
um applications Etc but I think at some point like we got enough people that uh
14:18
we are helping uh so like that program is kind of full right now and it's not
14:23
uh getting any like it's not accepting any new applications to that uh so we do
14:28
like we do have have a consultant service but it's not um open for um like
14:34
application right now other than that we like if you have any questions like this is the best I think we can do um of
14:40
course you can leave your questions on our like YouTube comment sections or of course I I cannot stress this enough you
14:48
can just leave them here at any page that we have in global scholarships.com and he only answers every single
14:55
question you don't have to pay you don't have to create an account or something something just answers all of those
15:01
questions um but other than that no we don't like right now we cannot get
15:07
consultancy directly so yeah about talking about sitting in uh South Korea Aman would you
15:14
like to like kick off maybe talk uh like give us a little bit information and insights uh into studying in South Korea
15:22
perhaps um yeah sure so for international students who
15:28
want to go to South Korea South Korea is one of the best countries to study
15:36
abroad I would say um it's up there with the the the big countries the USA the UK
15:44
Australia Canada um so I I would put South Korea
15:49
on top um the cost of studying is relatively low compared to all of those
15:56
countries I think it would be 10 times less um tuition I think on average is
16:03
about 6,000 7,000 a year uh which is really really
16:10
great um the cost of living uh compared to many of those countries is great as
16:17
well probably it would be around uh a million Korean ones to 1.2
16:26
million Korean ones um which would like convert to 600 700
16:38
yeah yeah I was showing that like six to eight or maybe nine tops yeah um which is which is really
16:47
really great um so one of the things that many
16:53
scholarship recipients emphasize those who studied in South Korea especially
16:59
that language is very important so if you want to go to South Korea and if you
17:04
want to study there you need to be uh willing to learn uh Korean it is a very
17:13
very important thing for for everything because you need to communicate with a lot of people if you want to get a job
17:22
um and if you just want to live there in general uh language is a must and many
17:30
many recipients of scholarships regret not starting uh to study Korean
17:38
sooner uh and this is just a point that I can't emphasize enough um speaking of
17:45
work and as far as I know um as a student you can't work in South Korea uh
17:53
probably there are a few exceptions but not immediately Maybe after six months
17:59
or a year you can work a limited number of hours after your school agrees and
18:06
maybe immigration as well so you need to get uh approval from both because there
18:13
are a lot of people who abuse their uh visas and try to get
18:19
work right uh I think there is a requirements for from many International
18:24
students to have at least 10,000 USD uh to cover their first year in South
18:31
Korea so you need to provide proof of financial ability to um cover like
18:41
Germany um yes yeah I think it's a standard procedure right now in many
18:46
countries yeah uh to just want to uh make sure that you can
18:53
support yourself during the time uh uh as a student
18:59
um in any country right now so they they actually need proof of funds and for
19:04
South Korea I think it's around 10,000 USD um I'm not sure if the number has
19:12
gone higher right now because um with inflation rates every year I think those
19:18
numbers just keep going higher and higher um yeah so other than that um I
19:26
think South Korea is a great country because as universities offer a lot of
19:34
scholarships and many of those are scholarships based on your language
19:39
proficiency scores yeah uh whether it's the topic in for Korean so for students
19:46
who want to study in Korean or uh English proficiency tests like the
19:51
eyelets the tofo and you can get scholarships that that are as high as probably full
19:59
tuition just from your language proficiency scores yeah so uh this is
20:05
topic uh test of uh Proficiency in Korean and like a lot of universities
20:11
offer um just like tuition discounts based on what level you get and it's not like um you will go through this test
20:20
and then maybe you can get that scholarship no like if you get like level five uh I think the highest is was
20:27
it level six um yeah yeah I think so so basically
20:33
they they will give you like maybe 70% um or maybe higher tuition reduction
20:41
although yeah the thing is um tuitions are not in incredibly high in South
20:46
Korea I think that's one of the main reasons a lot of people are interested in studying here also like the education
20:52
is very high quality and a lot of you really are interested um especially in
20:58
some of the these universities like universities like Yonce uh Korea University snu etc etc so hang on let me
21:06
see so yeah choosing choosing a university so these are the ones for example uh the universities that offer
21:13
English taught programs um other than that like we have a couple of videos about uh South Korea studying in South
21:20
Korea you can check those out too so basically when it comes to studying and
21:25
cost of studying uh tuition fees are not extremely high one thing like one tool
21:30
you can use um normally I really uh use this all the time nambo they have a cast
21:36
of living index um I think this is a great tool but when it comes to South Korea they just have one city normally
21:43
like even in Turkey they have many cities uh which is where I live uh but in South Korea they only have soul and
21:51
soul is significantly more expensive than other places uh that you will uh
21:57
you might go and study and also like when you look at the normal like living
22:02
cost estimations uh like from other places as well keep in mind that like usually uh
22:09
what you would spend as a student is not as high as these normal estimations like
22:15
there are for example this is a single person estimated monthly cost about like $1,100 but uh in a moment like we'll see
22:23
directly estimations from the universities I believe those are uh more accurate um because like they they
22:31
consider the fact that you are not a normal uh like one person living in a country you're a student and students
22:37
usually of course um pay spend way way less anyway so these are the tuitions U
22:44
for example these are some of the best universities here uh I want to pursue an MS in computer science on a low budget
22:50
EU countries especially Germany for low or no tuition fees but language might be a challenge um my low GPA concerns me as
22:59
it may affect my chances or for admission or scholarship I'm looking for advice on improving my profile and
23:05
finding suitable options uh like I I think Aman might give uh better advice
23:12
on this but one thing that I could say perhaps like it might be a good idea to choose a country for example Germany
23:19
might be a good option for this one not only because of tuition fees like
23:25
usually like on private public universities you don't have to pay fees but also like I would choose a country
23:31
where um quality of education is not very uh
23:37
different in different universities uh for example like in United States there
23:42
are very high quality education institutions and there are uh universities that are not nearly as good
23:49
but perhaps like some place um a country like Germany might have a more uh what
23:54
would you say homogeneous level of uh quality of educ education which might
24:00
make more sense uh if you have like low GPA because then you could say okay like
24:05
if I could get in a university with uh my relatively low GPA still that
24:10
University will give me good education uh but in United States for example or
24:16
in Canada you might not be able to say that even though top universities will be able like will give you very very
24:23
high quality of Education I think that might be my advice um Aman what would you say about this
24:36
um so they say that they're on a low budget and uh we just discussed this
24:44
point where you actually need proof of funds in order to go to Germany and most
24:49
countries so you need to prove that you have at least €1,000 e to cover your
24:55
first year in Germany and then you need so for the next year in order to renew
25:01
your Visa you need to uh provide proof of funds for the next year as well so it's not just for the first year it's
25:09
every single year in order to uh prove that you can stay in Germany
25:15
and to renew your Visa you need to provide proof of funds or
25:20
uh you need to explain your financial situation like some people start working
25:26
and that would be enough enough but I feel like there are a lot of countries
25:31
that are having restrictions uh when it comes to International students come in as far as
25:39
work is concerned uh many countries like Canada have limited the work hours of uh
25:47
of students so you probably will be able to make a little bit but not too much uh
25:55
to a point where you can actually cover that 11,000 requirements the next
26:01
year so we need to keep that in mind uh the fact that education is free in Europe uh doesn't
26:09
mean that you can go there on a low budget you actually need a
26:16
certain uh amount of money or a certain budget that you need to provide at the
26:23
time of application um as far as
26:29
uh the low GPA it just probably um
26:37
it's varies from univ University to another you just need to look at
26:42
universities that are within your GPA as far as their admission
26:48
requirements um that that is always an option just depending on how low your
26:54
GPA is uh you can look into that that uh there aren't many scholarships offered
27:01
at European universities since uh education is already free uh there are
27:07
governmental scholarships but they're offered they're very competitive they're offered to students on a mer base so you
27:15
need to First have a high GPA good academic records and then uh extra
27:23
things so you need extracurriculars you need a lot of thing things
27:29
that are involved in the uh selection process in order to secure a scholarship
27:35
uh at that level so these are important things to keep in mind in general right
27:43
hi there Kuru uh Welcome to our live stream so yeah that's actually kind of the point I was trying to make um like
27:49
if you have a low budget I think like the best idea might be to try and get
27:57
scholarships like comprehensive scholarships um that like in other countries for example in than United
28:03
States might be a good idea but a lot of scholarships that will be comprehensive
28:08
and like will take care of your low budget situation they will be very competitive and if you have like low GPA
28:16
also like uh then in that situation um you might not get the chance to get a
28:22
really good scholarship So like um maybe I think it might be rational to try and
28:29
find a country that you won't have to pay a lot of tuition fees like tens of thousands of dollars worth of tuition
28:35
fees and then you still will be able to get good education um in like any
28:41
University that you'll U see there so for example like if you had high GPA or
28:47
high uh credentials I would advise to go and try to find Scholarships in Canada
28:54
in United States in maybe UK or Australia they have more uh scholarships
29:00
that are comprehensive uh but in your situation maybe I think uh that might not be the way to go so yeah um anyway
29:09
let's go back to South Korea so yeah usually um universities in South
29:16
Korea okay another question hi there imman mgui asks hi is it possible to get
29:23
scholarships without ilts or sat yeah um Aman do you want to like uh I have an
29:33
idea about the answer to this one uh but I think you can give a more certain better
29:40
answer the answer is yes and no so if
29:45
you're from a country where you are considered a native speaker of English or you have studied uh in
29:53
English um so if you had your previous education
30:00
fully in English and you can get a certificate for that you don't need any uh language proficiency
30:08
exam uh unless the university specifically requires it U but generally
30:15
you wouldn't need it um so that's number one for the
30:21
eyelets or any other language proficiency exam as far as the SAT it's
30:28
generally not a requirement at all uh many many universities are just optional
30:36
or they don't uh ask for it at all so uh
30:41
you can provide it if you feel like it would improve your chances of being
30:46
admitted but it is not a requirement at all so your GPA would be completely fine
30:52
that being said there are a lot of scholarships that are given based on your GPA and these are automatic
30:58
scholarships awarded at the time of application so just by applying uh for admission at a
31:05
university you have a chance of getting a scholarship based on your own GPA um and and that's it so there is no
31:14
other requirement it's not the SAT it's not the eyet it's it's one of them or just GPA uh you don't have to apply for
31:21
these scholarships the moment you are uh selected or uh accepted at the
31:28
University you get the scholarship uh and those are most common in the United
31:34
States so these are scholarships that you can find in the United States just look for automatic scholarships or merry
31:41
based scholarships and uh you will find many universities that offer
31:47
them right thank you very much um um er Roy by the way so uh I I would also
31:55
advise you to maybe like listen like say this bit that we're going to talk about
32:00
um studying costs in South Korea like you can get a better idea um so yeah I
32:06
was as I was saying these are some of the like more popular universities in South Korea as you can see so basically
32:14
million uh South Korean WS is equal to like around
32:19
$700 uh so you'll see that these are mostly quite affordable like uh this
32:26
this starts as about maybe 3,000 to like 6,000 7,000 10 maybe 10,000 like even
32:33
the highest um amount you will see or like that for example this is uh let's
32:40
say 5 million right SN you charges at most 5 uh million which is about
32:48
$3,500 so yeah these are very affordable of course there there will be people who
32:53
are saying like um that I cannot afford that that's still a lot of money and yeah it is still a lot of money for some
32:59
people um but it like compared to places like the universities in United States
33:05
or maybe um like Australia Canada Etc United Kingdom these are very very very
33:11
affordable um so yeah these are some of the universities uh tuition fees you can
33:17
always see tuition fees just by clicking on any University uh on our website and
33:22
scrolling down and here are the tuition fees oops what did I do
33:28
um yeah here are the tuition fees and you can get more information by clicking on bachelor's uh here or if you're
33:34
Master Masters anyway so the thing is um we're going to see a couple of uh like
33:41
we'll see more about how much you need to spend again as I said uh we have like some estimations of cost of living in
33:49
South Korea in different uh cities and you can always get more information through places like nambo etc etc but as
33:56
I said I think a better like a more accurate place to get that information would be the actual universities they
34:03
usually give you a budget information if you look uh through their websites and I
34:09
think like are they very accurate I'm not sure uh like I wouldn't be able to
34:14
say but it is I think it's safe to say that universities has have a lot of uh
34:20
incentive to make this accurate because like if they accept students and those
34:25
students come to their University with unrealistic expectations and they cannot study there uh and then have to go back
34:32
like it it wouldn't be a great uh thing for them for example this is snu uh it's
34:38
I guess um one of the most uh popular one of the most demanded universities uh in
34:44
South Korea for example you can get uh they have like this cost of living um
34:50
estimation keep in mind this is 20 uh 22 so for example they have housing now one
34:57
thing that um while like looking for information for this um I've seen is
35:03
like dormitories can be very very affordable compared to like what you would have to pay for rent in Soul
35:10
because like it's a very metropolitan area and rents can be very high like thousand more than $1,000 uh compared to
35:17
that as you can see like on campus undergraduate uh housing like dormitories can be very affordable so
35:24
this is around 250,000 which is
35:29
about less than $200 and this is like this is like this
35:35
in other universities as well like dormitories normal student dormitories if you are sorry not looking for like a
35:41
single person dormitory like one bedroom it'll weigh about like $100 a couple
35:48
of100 like2 200$ 300 $400 Etc uh we have Local transportation we have meals which
35:55
I guess um it's about like three 00 maybe $400 hang on let's actually see
36:04
four uh yeah it's about $300 so yeah this is like when you combine all of
36:11
this when you add this up it will be something like 1 million a little bit more than 1 million let's say 1 million
36:18
to 100 or something uh so yeah it's about like $
36:24
800 maybe $700 uh this will be your rent your meals
36:30
your uh like telecommunication books transportation and personal expenses
36:37
which uh like they give you about like $200 for personal expenses too so yeah
36:42
compared to like considering that you will be studying one of the best universities in Korea I think this is
36:50
way more affordable than what you will have to pay uh for like um other places
36:55
in maybe if you want to study in the United States etc etc uh combine that with the fact that uh you don't have to
37:02
pay very high tuition fees I think this is very affordable uh compared to other
37:08
places uh this was snu again one of the most uh popular universities another one
37:14
another estimation is from Korea University again one of the um one of
37:21
the sky universities so these guys also have this expenses guide right uh so for
37:28
example if you are if you want to if you're okay with living is a single student living no hang on yeah single
37:34
student living on campus it's about like 400,000 um which is it's about like
37:42
$300 right so let's say your total monthly expenses uh like minimum
37:50
800,000 South Korean WS right uh which kind of which is equivalent to about
37:57
like $550 maybe let's say less less than $600
38:02
this is your like everything your dormatory like your rent utilities food
38:08
mobile phone internet public transport photocopy uh Recreation etc etc so yeah
38:15
also you have the um tuition fees so hang on where they where where
38:21
is the tuition fees for Korea University yeah it's about let's say uh $3,000
38:29
$4,000 so when you add this entire thing
38:34
up uh like every semester you'll have to pay $6,000
38:39
$7,000 uh for studying in South Korea which is much much much much more affordable than let's say United States
38:46
or uh Australia for example and so we also have an
38:52
estimation for KA um I wanted to see this because K is like one of the more
39:00
um like our tutorial and videos about Ka are more like the ones that are more
39:06
popular uh with our audience um so you're interested in this Bas apparently
39:12
so we have this like dormatory fee so this is like like 100,000 South green ones per
39:21
month it's like it's something like $10000 right and then uh you have food
39:28
expenses 3,000 I think that they have a better um hang on they have a better
39:35
estimation for this one I should have used that one actually um so yeah you
39:42
can also see like the tuition fees etc etc here uh but like this this is a
39:47
great example of like dormitory how affordable dormitories can be like $100
39:53
$200 uh compare this to like um
40:01
let's say hang on on
40:09
average $800 or $500 uh one bedroom apartments for rent you know uh they are
40:16
very affordable and there's one more it is hangdong global University it's not
40:22
in Soul which is why I wanted you to say it um
40:27
oh no really I've done that
40:33
okay I I should have hang on actually I'm going to try to find it
40:44
here uh I think it's yeah I think it's here so let's see this is I think this
40:49
is one of the most affordable ones you'll see so this is these are tuition fees per semester like let's say 4
40:57
million right it's about it's less than
41:03
$3,000 and then cost of living you can just click here and go and see the cost of living
41:09
estimations so as you can see these are like uh this is 800,000 South green ones
41:15
so about let's say less than $600 this is per semester so you paying
41:21
less than $100 per month for dormitory I have health insurance Etc and then you
41:26
have as you can see they are saying a monthly fee of 300,000 South green ones
41:32
at minimum will be necessary to cover for meals and other expenses so you'll have to like for your meals and Etc like
41:38
all of these you'll have to pay just um 300,000 South green ones which is equivalent to
41:47
$200 and add to that uh like $100 less than $100 dormatory uh it will
41:55
like it will be something like 400 like at most $500 for your living costs
42:02
um to study in South Korea so uh which is why I was trying to say like this is
42:09
almost half of what half of the estimations of like what you would have
42:14
to pay to study in Soul which is why like uh the fact that we just have soul
42:20
in here is not really good and if you want to get more information um like keep in mind that
42:28
yeah they it looks really affordable and like including tuition and they have some really good um scholarships as well
42:36
um although they are very competitive admittedly um but yeah some of them are
42:41
like some of these universities are really um affordable and so like when
42:48
you go and see maybe for example YouTube videos or something something uh like cost of living how much it costs keep in
42:54
mind that soul is considerably uh more expensive than a lot of places in South
42:59
Korea also one tiny bit before we end this whole uh thing one thing I seen
43:07
like when I was trying to get more information is that one thing you could do that would
43:13
help you uh in South Korea they say is uh try to get acclimated to get used to
43:20
perhaps cooking South Korean food or like try like eating South Korean food
43:26
because one thing that a lot of people say say is like um your meal expenses
43:33
can get really high because like if you don't know how to cook like South Korean
43:39
food because like if you go from Italy and then you try to find like Italian
43:44
ingredients like ingredients for Italian food or something uh that might be more expensive than cooking like normal food
43:51
that you would find like ingredients for in South Korea I think that's like of course like learn the language obviously
43:58
but I think it also pays to uh get acclimated to their cuisine as well so
44:04
you would you wouldn't have to pay a lot for ingredients or like cooking yourself assuming that you will cook at
44:12
all anyway so yeah that's that was pretty much it for cost of studying in
44:17
South Korea um usually like people look at soul and can be very intimidating for
44:23
it can be because it can be quite High especially in terms of r Etc uh so yeah
44:30
it's not as expensive as a lot of people think anyway um so this was it for South
44:37
like coast of studying South Korea Aman like are there anything uh any other things that you might want to add before
44:44
we end the uh like South Korea coast of studying
44:50
discussion um I think like what I said at the beginning pretty much sums it up
44:57
sums it sums all of it up um I think my last piece of advice is that we have a
45:03
lot of scholarship recipients from South Korea check their stories uh they really really go into
45:11
detail about a lot of things so you'll find bits of information here and there
45:17
from uh different recipients and all of them really offer great insights into
45:25
what life is is like in South Korea what the process is like for applying to
45:33
scholarships um so please check them out
45:38
they're they're great great uh stories and we keep adding to to these every
45:44
single week so whether you're interested in studying in South Korea or any other
45:50
country there is a probably there's probably a recipient who got a scholarship
45:55
there all right um heroy says can I know where you are
46:00
currently studying and what degree you are pursing and am also I'm I'm turkey I'm from Turkey I'm doing my PhD right
46:08
now uh in economic history I'm right now
46:14
writing my dissertation um am do you want to get give your information you don't have
46:21
to um yeah sure I'm pursuing my uh PhD
46:26
in Linguistics as well so I didn't know that too by the way
46:31
I've never asked so er Roy is like clearly is a better friend than I am all
46:38

47:25

47:31

47:37
live stream in EU countries I don't I don't think I can go to EU country to to live stream uh but
47:46
we can talk about like there have been a couple of live streams that we've been talking about like European countries
47:53
but if that's what you mean yeah I think we can do that

okay I think we don't have any other any new questions um Aman thank you very
